Not for the sinner to come home. No, this is for the church folks who are already in church. So bow your heads with me as we pray.
Heavenly Father, please Lord, speak to us all by yourself. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Ellen White Christ object lesson paints the picture. She says it was evening darkness gathering over the land of Palestine. Jesus and his 12 disciples are still seated on Mount of Olivet.
Looking over in the town, he spotted a house. The lights are on and there's a group of bride maids gather with some lamps. And then she says it is the custom less there should not be enough for us and you.
No, but our recommendation to you is that you go rather you go to those who sell and buy oil for yourself. That's the advice from the wise people. Wise people don't share oil in time like these.
Amen. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. There are certain things you have to get by yourself.
Yeah. And it is because they are wise why they don't share. Hang on.
Hang on. Verse 10. And what?
Help me read. One, two, three. And while they went.
So this ver, watch the preacher. So this parable ends with the very same warning again. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the son of man is coming.
It is over and over and over again. Um, don't don't take this don't take this badly. Be bear with me.
Don't take it badly what I'm about to say. When I when I look at the scriptures, I started to feel sorry for God. I when I look at the scriptures, I started to feel sorry for God.
Don't don't sit down there and say, "What is this preacher talking? How you can be sorry for God? " Yes.
I I I feel sorry for God. Here is why. Here's why.
God created for himself a special set of people, the Israelites. He he took them from Egypt and he personally carried them promised them a land flowing with milk and honey want them to be happy and he personally carried them to the borders of Canaan hoping that they would enter in and when they reached there they could not enter. We talked about that because of unbelief and God says the word was very angry with them says the word.
God was wrath with them says the Bible. God was about to wipe them totally and Moses intervene. We studied that.
So God had a challenge there because the people he wanted to give the promised land to it did not happen. 40 years later, 40 years later, he tried again with Joshua. Joshua finally led them in.
Joshua gave them a warning. When you go into that land, do not give your daughters to their sons and take their sons for your daughter's husband. Don't marry or intermar with them.
Don't have any dealing with them. When you go over into the land, exterminate all the Amalachites and the and the Jebisites. Exterminate them.
The Bible says when they went over there in the land, rather than doing what God says, they did the very opposite. And God was angry with them again. God decided to try one more time.
He sent his son. He sent his son right here in person to his special people called the Jews hoping to save their souls again. And one more time, it did not happen.
It did not happen because they one more time choose not to believe him and the nation as a whole was lost. I I feel sorry for God when I read these things. But then I noticed God refused to give up.
He is not giving up. So Joshua says even though Moses didn't give them rest and Joshua didn't give them rest, Hebrews says there remain a rest for the people of God. So now God is trying with us.
Will God have any better results with us? It is for that reason why Jesus over and over again trying to help you to understand how important it is to be ready. So five parables that were issued out there to help the church to be ready.
I'm going to examine this is the last one. This is for us. So don't look over your shoulder.
This is for you. This is for you. So we're just we're going to ask this question now.
Who are these 10 virgins? Christ object lesson page 406 paragraph 2 Ellen White records this. She says, "As Christ sat looking upon the party that waited for the bridegroom, he told his disciples.
" He told who? His disciples the story of the 10 virgins. The disciples were the church.
By their look at the text, by their experience illustrating the experience of who? The church that shall live just before his second coming. The story of the 10 virgins illustrate the church that shall live just before his second coming.
Which church is that? Come on, talk to me. Which church is that?
We we today we which means the story of the 10 virgins is about Nairobi central 2023. That's why it is relevant and that's why you and I have to pay very clean attention to it because this this parable is about us is about us. So if that is so, then in the name of Jesus, let's take a deep dive into this stuff to see what it looks like.
Let's decode this parable. Here's Ellen White. Christ subject lesson.
She says, "The two classes of watchers, who are they again? Come talk back to me. Who are they?
Wise and foolish. " How many wise? Five.
Five. And how many foolish? >> Five.
So can we put them in percentage? Is that all right? Let's put them in percentage.
So So the 10 virgin represent the 100% of the church membership. Am I right? >> Yes.
So five represent how? 50% of the Hey, hey, hey, hey. Don't stone the preacher.
Don't stone me. Don't stone me. 50% of the membership of the church that will be alive just before Jesus comes falls in the category of the wise and the other 50% foolish in Jamaica we said let that soak 50% of the last day church.
Foolish. Foolish. Foolish.
The two classes of watchers represent two classes who profess who profess to be waiting for the Lord. Stay with the preacher. Watch me.
Watch. Watch me. The foolish ones are also waiting.
Am I coming across to you? Yeah. Yeah.
The foolish ones are also waiting. Hey, stay with me. Let me talk to the choir.
What makes them fools is not that they were not waiting. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. They were waiting.
They had membership in the church. By the way, let me talk to the church board. These foolish ones, 50%, their membership is in good and regular standing.
Ah, how we know? I'll soon tell you how we know that. Here's here's it.
They they are called what? >> Virgin. Now, what?
Let's talk talk with the preacher. The wise ones are called virgins. Am I right?
>> What about the foolish ones? Are they called VIRGINS AS WELL? >> YES.
YES. YES. YES.
THAT'S WHY I KNOW THAT THEIR membership is in good and regular standing because they are referred to as virgins. Now, what's a virgin? Oh y you you know these folks in right there are certain question when I ask these folks in Nairobi they don't know I I will leave you s I will I will interpret your silence as you very well know they are virgins meaning their characters watch me their characters are pure is the church with me yeah their reputation is Good.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. If you need Hey, hey, hey. If you need anybody to get involved, if you if you need people in the CHURCH TO GET INVOLVED, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE who you'll select because your reputation is good, membership intact, faithful at church every Sabbath, but foolish.
They are virgins because help me read. They profess what kind of faith? Pure faith.
That is Ellen White in in Christ object lesson. Not Okconor. Ellen White says so.
Pure faith. Even the foolish ones. So, so, so, so let me go down.
We are decoding the parable. What about the So, what about the lambs? The lamps in the story represent what?
The word of God. David said, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet. " Now stay with the preacher.
How many of them have had lamps? All of them. But so the wise had lamps and the foolish had lamps.
Which means which means let me talk back to the choir. Let me talk back to the choir. What made them foolish was not because they don't have word of God.
No, no, no, no. They had the word of God. Amen.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
And their reputation was intact. Amen. And their faith was pure, says Ellen White.
Is the church with me? >> SO WHAT IN THE WORLD COULD MAKE THESE GUYS foolish members in the last day church? Huh?
What about the oil? Hey, hey, hey. The problem.
The problem in the story. They had a oil problem. They had what?
They had an oil problem. What was the oil? The oil says Ellen White is a symbol of who?
Of the Holy Spirit. Ah. So stay with me.
So hey, how many of them had oil? Oh, this is where this is where I split the congregation. How many of them had oil?
You read the text. All of them. Am I right?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
All of them. Right. The wise had oil and the foolish had oil which mean the oil is the Holy Spirit.
So all of them had oil. So what's the problem? What's the problem?
The the fundamental difference was that the wise carried with them an additional container with some backup oil. Anybody know what I'm talking about here? Yeah.
With some extra oil. The the the the foolish had oil, but the oil was in their lamps. But the wise took with them a little extra oil.
That's the only Hey, hey, hey, hey. That's the only little difference that separated them. And it was big enough to cause 50% of the church to lose their soul.
You understand why Jesus is warning us? And I want Nairobi not to take this thing lightly because this is important. So let let me go here.
Here's what Ellen White says. All the 10 virgins went out to meet the bridegroom. Do we agree?
All the whole church went out to meet the bride bridegroom. All 10 of them. It was not like some of them say back and I'm not going anywhere.
You all can go. I'm not going. No, no, no.
All 10 of them went to meet the bridegroom. All 10 says it says the word. ALL 10 of them had lamps and all 10 of them had oil.
She says, "For a time, for a time there, can we read this? For a time there was seen I'm not hearing you. For a time there was seen no difference between the wise and the foolish.
So with the church that lives just before Christ's second coming. Hey, when I look over this vast congregation, there is no difference between you. All of you look like faithful 7th day Adventist.
All of you had lamps. All of you believe in the word of God. All of you are faithful in your church.
All of you have good reputation. You can't tell the difference between wise and foolish by just looking of them because they were all virgins. And Ellen White says in the last days, the last day church will look just like that.
But there is danger lurking underneath the beautiful picture of the church. There's a dangerous d um threat that lies underneath the waiting church. And it is that I want to highlight for the church in Nairobi this afternoon.
Here's Ellen White. All of them not only had the Bible, but all of them had a knowledge of the scripture. So those who lost their souls didn't lose it because they didn't know Bible.
They didn't lose it because they didn't attend church. They didn't lose it because they didn't return tithe and offering. They didn't lose it because they were not a vegetarian.
Hey, no, no, no, no. All of them had knowledge of the scripture. So you ask the question, then preacher, if that is the case, what do we need to be saved?
Well, here's it. I'm going to read this slowly for you. This is Ellen White again.
Christ object lessons. She says, "All have heard the message of Christ near approach. " All of them and confidently expect his appearing.
All of them. All of them heard that the Christ coming. All the members in the church in the Adventist church they hear about the second coming of Christ.
All of you sit down in Nairobi central and those of you watching you hear about the second coming of Christ. You are excited and you are confident about about his coming. But see that but is that dangerous?
But but as in the parable, so it is now what? What's the problem? A time of waiting intervenes and faith is tried.
Oh, help us in the church. A time of waiting intervenes. The bridegroom did not turn up when the bridal party was expecting him to come.
A time of waiting intervenes. And during that period of time, faith was tried. And when faith was tested, 50% of the church that was waiting for Jesus to come couldn't make it.
So it was in the parable. So it is in the last day church. So what's the problem with this?
Here's it. While the bridegroom delayed, they slumber and slept. What caused them to sleep?
Talk back to me. Come on. What?
Talk back to me. What? What caused them to sleep?
The delay. In other words, h had the bridegroom come when they expected him to come, all foolish one would have made it to the kingdom of God. Oh Lord have mercy.
You know, you know, you know, God is too wise to come when we want him to come. So the delay is designed to strain out the wise from the foolish. Mhm.
Watch me. HAD HAD GOD HAD GOD NOT PERMITTED the test on the borders OF CANAAN, THE WHOLE OF THOSE unbelieving good ven people would march in the promised land. I have a sermon coming up entitled spot check at the pearly gates.
Take note of it. The delay, the delay caused them to sleep. I had a problem with the word delay.
I wrote about it in my book, Is God Still Coming? Try and get a copy of it on Amazon. Can Can we honestly say that Christ delay his coming?
I don't think so. Delay means you knew when he was coming and he didn't turn up. Am I right?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. So, so, so, so Elder Dan, Elder Daniel came to to the airport to pick me up, my wife and I, he knew what time I was coming.
So if that time comes and my flight does not land, then it is reasonable to argue that the flight delayed. But if he doesn't know what time I'm coming, if he doesn't know what time the flight is going to land and he goes to the airport in the morning, can he say the flight delayed? No.
Because you don't know what time the flight the flight was supposed to land in the first place. Do we know what time Jesus coming? No.
So how can we say it delayed? Cuz he has not told us the time. Oh, we have an expectation of what time he should come.
And watch me, watch me. That expectation that we have is what is giving us the trouble because we wait and wait and wait and wait until people are tired of waiting. So they get slumber and they sleep in the last day church.
Here's a there's a the problem is with the delay. This is not watch the church. Watch the preacher.
This is not the first time we see that delay destroys the church. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Watch me.
Watch me. I'm in Exodus chapter 32. I'm in verse 1 to4.
Here's the text. Now when the people saw that mo Moses went up to the to the mountain to talk with the Lord. You guys remember that story?
Yes. Moses went up. God called him up on Mount Si and said, "Moses, come up.
Let me talk with you. " Moses left Moses left his brother Aaron to watch the church, right? And he went up to talk to God.
And and and and the Bible says, "Now when the people saw that Moses what? delayed coming down from the mountain. The people gathered together Aaron and said to him, "Hey, come make us gods that shall that shall go before us.
For as this Moses is uh the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, wrong is not Moses who bring you out is God. The man that brought us out of the land, we do not know what has become of him. " And Aaron said, "Okay, good idea.
" That's why that's why God didn't choose Aaron in the first place to lead his church. Amen. So, some of you think that Aaron is a better leader than Moses.
No, no, no, no, no. Leave God. He knows just who to put in charge of his church.
Aaron may have a better better better skill, better oral skill. Amen. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. But God didn't choose him for his skill. You know when God choose people, he always choose those people who have some shortages.
Because when you're too good, God can't use you. When you're too good, you're too full of yourself. So God can't use you.
God use the people with impediment. Hey, God used the people with impediments. Why?
Because once you take on that responsibility, you know, you have to depend on God. Bible says, so Aaron, so so Aaron says, "Okay, good idea. " You break off the golden earrings which are in their ears uh of your wives and your sons and your daughter and bring them to me.
This is Aaron. This is Moses's brother. This is Moses brother who uh tell Yeah, good idea.
Let's make a new god cuz I don't know what happened to my brother. The guy that even worry about his brother. So all the people broke off their golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron and he received the gold from their hand, fashioned it with an engraving tool and made a golden calf.
And we know the story quite well. God was angry. 3,000 of them died that very same day because of the delay.
The delay mess up people in 1844. Is the church with me? Yes.
Yes. Yes. YES.
YES. YES. EVERYBODY WAS EXCITED.
OH, JESUS COMING IN 1844. All those who vex with one another, they go make up. Everybody prepare themselves.
Jesus coming October 22nd, 1844. When that date came and there was no God, the record reflects most of those people who were excited to accept Jesus Christ, who thought that they were ready for heaven left the church, went back into the world because the delay strains [snorts] out the wise from the foolish. The delay is for a purpose.
Hang on, hang on, hang on. So Peter tells me to tell you 2 Peter 3:9 Peter says know this first that be my words because of the delay because it appears that God is not coming anymore there will be scoffers who will turn up on the streets of Nairobi walking according to their what? To their lust and saying where is the promise of his coming?
Where is the sign that God is coming? Where is it? I don't see no evidence.
And their argument is because all since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. Sun still rises in the east and set in the west. Where is the evidence that God is coming?
And they and by the way these guys going to be very effective in convincing people that God ain't coming because of the delay. Paul says for this they willfully forget that by the word of God the heavens were of old, the earth standing out of the water and in the water by which the world that then existed perishes. Paul says they willfully forget that the world then existed perishes being flooded with water.
Verse seven, but the heavens and the earth which are now they are what? Preserved by the same word and are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and pition of ungodly men. Paul says don't listen to these guys.
He says that this current earth is under reservation. God reserve it for fire. And if if it is under reservation, it will happen.
But here verse 8, he says, "But beloved," let me read 1, 2, 3. But beloved, do not forget this one thing that with the Lord, one day is a like a thousand years. And a thousand years is like one day.
So they told me in college that Jesus left here about 2,000 years ago. Yes. If that if I use this formula.
Amen. By the way, this is the exchange rate right here. If I if I use this exchange rate, one day 1,000 years, 1,000 years, one day.
So, if I use this exchange rate that is in the Bible and apply it to how long we have been waiting for the Lord to come back using this biblical using this biblical exchange rate, how long has Christ gone? >> TWO DAYS. SO WHAT IS it that we're worrying about?
Two days. Two days. Two days.
Now, now you can Does this text put things in perspective for you? In other words, there is no compreh and the reason I mean verse 9 and the reason why God hasn't come back as yet answer the Lord is not slack. back concerning his promises.
If he says he's coming back, he's coming back as some counselness. But he is what? >> Longsuffering to the reason he has not come back as yet he's longsuffering towards us.
not willing that anybody in Nairobi central should perish, but that all should come to what? >> He is he is ex He is allowing members who are foolish to become >> wise. He Yes.
He's allowing members who are foolish to become wise. In other words, take advantage of that period of time of that delay period that we can take advantage of it. It is designed for a purpose because in the end it will not look good for the church.
So let me wrap this up then. So you realize I enjoy myself when I'm up here, right? Who who WHO ARE THESE VIRGIN?
WHO are these foolish virgins? 50% of Nairobi central 50% of the general conference. Who are these people?
And do you fall into that? Which which which of the 50% you fall in? Cuz you need to know that before you leave here.
You know, you need to know that before you leave here. We don't come church just to have fun, listen to good singing and a good sermon and go home. We want to make sure that all is well with our soul.
So which of the 50% do you fall in? If you can't answer that, then you may be in trouble. Christ object lesson page 411 paragraph 1 says let's take our time the foolish people the class represented by the foolish virgins are not hypocrites.
Hey there's a full stop. So let's pause right there. Let's let's read that one more time.
The class represented by the foolish virgins are not good. So, so, SO, SO, SO IF THERE ARE ANY hypocrites in Nairobi central, they're not in that class. Amen.
Mhm. If they are hypocrites in this church, they are not in that class. cuz that class are not hypocrites.
So when you sit in the chair say, "Yeah, yeah, I know who these foolish people are. I can tell them. I can tell.
I can tell. " No, they are not hypocrites. They're not hypocrites.
Here's Can we get that back on the screen? Here's what she says. Okay.
She says they they I want to make sure I get it back on the screen. So So I'll wait. Yeah, I'll wait.
I'll wait cuz I I want you to I want you to read it. Who these Who these foolish members 50% at your church of your church. Foolish.
Um and and by the way, those of you operating the clock, you need to put a pause on the clock cuz you're taking out my time. Yeah. Um so who who who are these?
Um these these are not hypocrites. You know, the the devil doesn't want you to see this. Yeah.
But we're going to see it anyhow because we have a we have a incredible team around there. Um, she says they have they have regarded they they they I'm in page 411, paragraph one, Christ subject lesson. One, they are not hypocrites.
Two, here's what she says. They have a regard for truth. They what?
They have a regard for truth. Meaning, yeah, here there's it. There's it.
They have They are not hypocrites. LOOK AT THE STUFF MEMBERS of the church. They have a regard for truth.
What does that mean? Come on, talk to me. What does that mean?
They love truth. Hey, every Adventist love truth. That's why we're in this church.
They love truth. They're not hypocrites. Then she says they have they have advocated the truth.
Yeah. Oh Lord, this is this is crazy. I'M TALKING ABOUT I'M TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR SOULS.
They have advocated the truth. THEY ARE ATTRACTED. LOOK AT WHAT SHE WROTE.
They are ATTRACTED TO THOSE. Help me read. THEY ARE ATTRACTED TO those who believe the truth.
THAT'S WHY THEY ARE IN THE LAST DAY CHURCH. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE IN THE 7TH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE IN NAIROBI CENTRAL.
THEY HAVE A REGARD FOR THE TRUTH. THEY ADVOCATE THE TRUTH AND THEY ARE ATTRACTED BY THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE the truth. So how could they be lost?
How could they be lost? But here's the answer. But they have not yielded themselves ha to the Holy Spirit's working.
Oh, this mess your mind up. It messes your mind up, doesn't it? They have a regard for the truth.
They advocate the truth. They love to be in the company of people who teach the truth. That's why they're in the church, but they have not made themselves available to the working of the Holy Spirit.
Woo! Lord, take time with that because this is where the danger lies in the church. to think that I'm a bonafideed member of the 7th Day Adventist Church.
I have the truth to believe that that is sufficient to carry me through. And if that's your belief, you're on dangerous grounds because what is necessary is not just that you have the truth, but that you avail yourself to the power of the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Ghost is not in you, working through you, you will not pass through the pearly gates.
And so what that means, it means 50% of the last day church had no Holy Spirit in them. Who are these people? Here's what she says.
This help me read. This class are represented also by who? The stony ground hearers.
In other words, they receive the word with what? READINESS. YEAH.
YEAH. YEAH. YEAH.
PASTOR, WE WE will we will sing and we will go out and distribute track. But they fail to assimilate its principles. The it's the influence of the word is not abiding in their heart.
She says, "This class represented by the foolish virgins have not been content with, sorry, have been content with a [snorts] superficial work. They like good preaching. They love wonderful singing.
They like the choreograph of the service. They like the ordinance. They like what was good.
That's why they are at Nairobi Central. But that is not enough to save your soul. That is superficial.
Is the church with me? Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. That is superficial.
When the real test comes and there is no Nairobi essential and there is no well choreographed presentation and there is no choir to sing and there is no WHEN YOU ARE PRESSED AGAINST THE FIRE CAN you stand up for God 50%. Here's what Ellen White says. This class, this is the most powerful statement.
They do not know God. What? President, take a deep breath and digest this stuff cuz it they do not know God.
Well, I thought Ellen White says they love the truth. And I thought she said they advocated the truth. [snorts] I thought she said they had the lamp and they had the oil.
Hey, hey, and that there are virgins. I THOUGHT SHE SAID THEY HAVE PURE FAITH. WITH ALL OF THAT STUFF THAT THAT MAKES THEM INTO GOOD Adventist members, but they do not know God.
I don't know what attract you to the Adventist church. I don't know what attract you to this message. I don't know what attract you to this to this particular institution um congregation or any of the congregation in the worldwide church.
I don't know what attract you. But I want to tell you something. Unless you personally know God for yourself.
Experience his power in your life. Not that somebody tell you about God. You experience him for yourself.
Unless you and God have a relationship where you can talk to God day and night, where you put your trust in him, when you live and breathe Jesus Christ, unless you have that kind of relationship, you will not make it. You will not make it. You'll be among the 50% that is lost.
good members of the church, decent members of the church, honorable members of the church, but lose their soul. Do you know how many people in the church for years, 40 odd years, and they think that because their years of service in the church is going to give them credit to go in the kingdom. Doesn't work like that.
know God for yourself. Know him personally. They do not know him.
And the fact that you carry a Bible and a quarterly every Sabbath morning doesn't mean you know God. And the fact that you can memorize the Bible doesn't mean that you know God. And the fact that you sing like angel on the choir doesn't mean that you know God.
And the FACT THAT YOU PREACH LIKE PAUL DOESN'T MEAN THAT you know God is when the real test comes. They have not studied God's character. They have not held communion.
They have not held communion with him. Therefore, they do not know how to how to how to trust. That's the problem they had on the borders.
and how to look and live. Here's what she says. Their s help me read their service to God degenerates into what?
Just a form formality. Formality. The apostle Paul points out that this will be the special characteristic of those who live just before the second coming of Christ.
In other words, put simple, they are in church, but they are not involved. 50% of the church. No wonder the theme this year is quite apppropo.
Get involved. Get involved. What you what you're looking on the screen is a little research I did last night.
I'm finished. No, I'm finished. Finished.
So, my IT person at my church the other day downloaded chat GPT on my computer. You guys are familiar with chat GB, right? So, I decided to test it out last night.
So, here's what happened. If you if you if you know about what what's happening in the AI world, artificial intelligence world, what is happening at the internet? The internet now has consolidated the sum total of humans wisdom and knowledge is now in one place called the internet.
Is the church with me? Are we together? Every possible area of knowledge is now consolidated in the internet.
And so what these AI robots have done, they have read every single thing on the internet. So they have all the knowledge of the whole world one place. Okay.
So I asked chat GPT last night since you have since you have KNOWLEDGE OF ALL [screaming] THE sermons all the sermons that are on the internet. [snorts] I asked chat GTP, what are the themes of the sermons that are being preached to the entire world? What are the themes?
What what what are the themes coming from the pulpit? Cuz I wanted to find out whether the second coming of Christ is among the themes. And within a split second chat GDV spit out, she says up to 2021, these are the 10 themes all the sermons that are on the internet.
One, spiritual growth and transformation. That's good stuff. Two, morality and ethics.
That's good stuff. Three, hope and encouragement. That sound like America.
Four, community relationships. That sound like down here in Africa. Social justice and compassion.
Good stuff. Forgiveness and redemption. Yeah.
They're preaching about that stuff. Gratitude and what? Contentment.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Yes. Faith in times of difficulties. Yeah.
Lots of sermon and that stuff. Prayer and meditation. That's good stuff.
That's what the scriptural what interpretation. [snorts] I was sad but not disappointed cuz I was the reason why I search. I wondered cuz I have not heard it myself.
the sermons flowing from the pulpit on the second coming of Christ. Scan your television station on Sunday morning and listen to all the sermons and tell me if you hear one on the second coming of Christ. Not one.
Not one. Not one. So here's why I wrap this up for you then.
There's a danger of complacency in the seventh day Adventist church in the last days. Yesterday Bible commentary says we are Leodysia. We 7th Day Adventist Church are Leodysia.
I'm going to talk about that one of these evenings. But there's a danger of complacency. If we do not make it home, it is not because we didn't have the truth.
Is the church hearing me? >> Yes. It is not because we didn't have lamps.
It's not because we didn't we didn't have knowledge. If we didn't make if we do not make it home is because of complacency. Israel was lost even though they were the custodians of the truth, the oracles of the prophecy.
They were still they still lose their way. The Jews were lost and destroyed in AD70. Even though Jesus personally came down here and live among them, THEY STILL LOSE THEIR SOUL.
They still lose their soul. So having the truth is not enough. It is my warning to the brethren in Nairobi.
Being a member of the Adventist church is not enough. is my warning to every member colleagues in my Adventist church. There is there there is the fourth point.
I'm going to send you home with this point. It is possible that our mana may turn maggot in the morning. Your scripture reading is where I end with Exodus chapter 16 verse 20.
You remember that stuff Moses told the people Moses told the people when you collect the mana which came directly from heaven don't store it up. Is the church with me? Some people didn't listen.
Let me talk to the choir again. In the morning, the manner which came from the hand of God, pure and holy, turned maggot in the morning. Put simple, the truth that we have today, if not used correctly, can corrupt us tomorrow.
Because with truth comes a responsibility and that's why the camp meeting theme is appropo. Get involved. Get involved or else your manner may turn maggot in the morning.
Get involved. I'm finished.
