Today, I would like to introduce 5 foods that I have stopped eating since I started minimal life. I’d also like to introduce what I have been eating and drinking instead of these. No.
1. Sugar Recently, due to the bad effects that sugar can have on our health, many people started living sugarless lives. I am one of them.
However, sometimes I still want sweets. So, I tried various alternatives to replace sugar. For example, Honey.
Needless to say, it’s a natural superfood. I use it instead of jam. Next, Kobon.
This is a natural yeast beverage. It is as sweet as honey and contains more than 15 times more natural yeast than honey. After drinking it, my intestines become very active.
An then, Dates. I've been addicted to dates recently. I want to say “Are you really not sugar?
It's sweet and delicious that it’s enough easy to doubt. It is also organic and nutritious. I put two of them in smoothies every morning.
No. 2 Japanese sweets and snacks. Honestly, Japanese sweets are delicious.
However, it is also dangerous at the same time. This is because it contains a lot of dangerous ingredients. For example, potato chips, which are famous for popular Japanese sweets snacks, contain a cancerous substance called acrylamide.
By the way, it is displayed like this in the United States. If I really want something sweet, I eat dates. No.
3 Milk I used to keep drinking milk because it was an of the old habit. When I drank it, my stomach sometimes got sick, so I gave it up. I decided to use soy milk instead of milk.
The taste is lighter than milk, so I sometimes adjust the tastes by adding dates. After changing to soy milk, my stomach became more comfortable. No.
4 Coffee Coffee was also a long-standing habit. However, like milk, sometimes I would get sick after I drank it. I also couldn't sleep because of too much caffeine.
So, I took the plunge and stopped drinking coffee recently. Now I drink matcha or green tea instead of coffee. Although, matcha contains a lot of caffeine like coffee, Matcha contains an amino acid called, L-theanine, that counters the negative effects of caffeine.
So, I can be more calm after drinking matcha. No. 5 Cheap Cooking Oil I used to use cheap cooking oil because it was economical.
However, I learned that when cheap oil is heated, a highly toxic substance called hydroxynonenal is produced, and stopped using it. Now, I can see that cheap oil is poisonous and should not be used. So now I use olive oil to cook with.
Please let me know if you have any other recommended cooking oils. Thank you for watching. What you eat as a habit might actually be food that doesn't fit your body.
So, it might be good to review your eating habits. I'll keep getting better. I hope this video helps you out.
