Civil construction design: Courses and PR pathways

foreign statistics and uh National so usually the earning uh full earnings for a full-time worker on an adult uh wage earn around would be around sixteen hundred dollars uh higher than the usual which uh would be paid around 1400 uh dollars you can see the stats uh provided by the labor force Australia that there was one lakh ninety four thousand Three Sixty One Employment uh and uh five percent off change in one year that is huge so this is a good uh stats to consider this course if you are looking to study in Australia uh

we'll move to the migration part and we'll take the questions in the end thank you over to you Anu uh yeah uh thank you okay uh so I'll be looking after the migration part so let me share the PPT you can everyone see yes we can see thank you so yeah so today uh I will be talking about a civil construction occupations under ER Pathways so we will be uh taking occupations for civil engineering professionals and civil construction design together so what are the occupations these are included in that so these are the major occupations

are related to the construction so uh civil engineer is the major occupation so they are divided into a grouping so in the civil engineering professional group civil engineer do come in then a geotechnical engineer is a structural engineer is there transport Engineers so these are coming in the same grouping of civil engineering professions apart from that we have a civil engineering draft person and technician grouping in which civil engineering craft person comes in and also civil engineering technician technician comes in which is related to the courses we just discussed right now apart from this that

occupations we do have engineering technologist uh construction project manager project or program and administrator and then we have also got quantity surveyors so this all occupations are related uh to construction field so we will discuss in detail regarding these occupations and their uh PR pathways so firstly they are divided into two streams so first is the medium uh and long term strategic scale list which is MLT SSL list and short-term um skilled occupation rate which is stsr list so as you can see that most of these occupations come under the MLT SSS skill list so

if the occupations are in MNT SSL skills then you will get a wide range of Visa options for you let's say you can apply for 485 Visa you can apply for 189 Visa 186 Visa so it it will have a better address compared to the stsr list so we just have one occupation uh which is under the STS solid which is program for project administrator so we do have a pathway for that as well so you can apply for uh 190 Visa 491 visa and for employees sponsor Visa you can also go to 482 Visa

as well and 494 Visa so moving on um as we have discussed in the previous PPT uh that yes this courses are in demand right now so according to a survey like in March 2023 so uh as we can see that construction managers and civil engineering professionals are in demand right now and this demand is according to the number of job requirements right now in Australia so these are the 10 20 most demand demanding occupations in Australia in terms of the job requirements so as you can see number five and R12 which is highlighted so

these are the occupations which are going to discuss today going on so first is the civil engineer so civil engineer is a escolated skill one a level one occupation so it has been assessed by Indians Australia which is the skill assessment Authority so we will discuss in detail about the trend in our search layer in our coming up if it is so so this uh civil engineer so we will briefly discuss what are the occupation what are the duties what is so civil engineering generally does like determining construction methods materials and quality standards and Drafting

and interpreting uh specifications drawing plants construction methods and procedures so generally what a civil engineer does they look after the plants they interpret the plants what has been created by the civil engineering trans person and they ensure that the building they are preparing according to the plants okay it does not collapse or does not banned or twist so generally these are the basic duties what a civil engineering uh does okay and if you are like studying in that occupation then you and if you are finding an employment in that occupation then you might be doing

these duties then the second occupation is the engineering Technologies so engineering Technologies covers a lot of areas for the engineers so if you does not come under a professional engineer let's say a civil engineer or a mechanical engineer uh or maybe a telecommunication engineer but you are working at a lower level than that and if you are not making meeting the requirements of that professional engineer then you can get a skill assessment and an employment in the engineering technologist so engineering Technologies also uh skill level one occupation and it do fall under the MLT SSL

scale list so as I previously said that under the MLT SSL scale list you are eligible to apply for 189 190 491 both state nominated and family sponsor Visa 482 is a 186 visa and four nine for Visa so you have a wide range of Visa options in that along with that you can also apply for 482 Visa as well so the another uh skill is the civil engineering job person so this is the occupation which is a level lower than uh the civil engineer so if you are studying like a study like Advanced diploma

or diploma in that then you might get an employment in a skill related to this so basically what a civil engineering draft person does they generally drafts and plants uh the areas which like designs and everything okay which civil engineer will use to create the project so this is a level lower than a civil engineer moving on so this is geotechnical engineer so as I said that geotechnical engineer structural engineer and the transport antenna these are the three occupations which two come under the civil engineering so as you can see that their uh first four

digits which is two double three two which is a grouping of civil engineering professional is kind of same so if uh you have studied something related to civil then you can also try to find an employment in this skills as well and also you can get a skill assessment in your skills depending on what kind of employment you are going for and what you have studied in your uh while doing that course is let's say if you are done bachelor's or Master related to that then you can get an employment in this field so geotechnical

engineer is almost like related to civil engineer but the duties are a bit different let's say they generally deals with the soils and rock samples while Structural Engineers look after uh the structure uh plants and everything and they make sure that the structure is intact in a in it does not collapse while the transport engineer looks after uh the drawings and plans of the railroads public transport highways um and they construct in that manner that let's say a transportation systems which I just discussed and they are responsible for the drawing and plans of this kind

of railroads and everything so this four uh occupations are correlated now we'll go to quantity Services quantity server is also an important part of uh like construction so they generally deals with the cost estimations and everything uh related uh to the construction so it also comes under the skill level one and it has been uh like the occupation uh the skill assessment Authority is aiqs for this occupation so we'll discuss that and the requirements and everything for that skill occupation the this is also a good occupation right now which is construction project manager so if

you have studied something related to construction project manager which is bester or Masters then you can get the skill assessment through vertices for this occupation so this occupation generally deals with the Architects and Engineers so let's say they directly related to Architects engineering professional which are civil engineers and also the trade workers like civil trade workers and they look after the project and they take care of the project of the building moving on to the next occupation which is civil engineering technician this is also a grouping of the civil engineering craft person so their duties

are also correlated which is civil engineering staff person and technician grouping this is uh the skill level 2 uh stsl list occupation which is program or project administrator so there are basically their main duty is to administrate the project uh which has been carried out by the construction project manager and they also deal with the Architects and civil engineers as well so they they generally report to the owners and they uh check that under a certain budget if the project is done or not so these are the these are the occupations and now we will

move under the skill assessment Authority so there are three skill assessment authorizes we'll be looking into so the first is the Indiana's Australia so as I told that um civil engineers geotechnical Engineers Structural Engineers and transport Engineers they do come under the same occupationalists and they have been assessed by Engineers Australia there are also two other occupations which are engineering technologists and civil engineering craft persons they are also been assessed by the civilian Engineers Australia only so here civil engineering draft person is also SS by vertices so depending on what study have you done have

you done an aggregated aggregated study or not okay from Australia or from overseas depending on your requirement and uh on your number of years of experience okay you you have to decide that in which skill assessment Authority you will fall into so vettas is also look after four occupations which are construction project manager program and project administrator civil engineering technician and civil engineering graph person the last one is the quantity surveyor so the Australian is rated of quantity surveys look after the skill assessment of that occupation now um how you can get the skill assessment

in on ntns Australia so there are occupational categories so let's say if you studied bachelor's degree in engineering which is a four years bachelor's degree then you will get a skill assessment in level one as a professional engineer which are the civil engineers and different occupations uh which are geotechnical engineer structural engineer and transport engineer if you have studied a degree which is not four years but let's say it's three years then you are eligible to apply for the skill assessment as an engineering technologist and if you study something diploma or adults diploma for a

two years then you can apply for the skill less or continue level 2 which is engineering associated with is this civil engineering draft person degree will come under this occupation category so now what is the requirement for the English in that so antenna social generally asks for six each which is competent English in PT or IELTS or any other related which is TOEFL so that should be within the last two years only so English tests must be within last two years uh most of the migration visas except for three years but Engineers also only except

for two years only so if you you can also get an exemption in this English requirement if you have studied Masters Degree which is a 92 weeks full-time uh course here in Australia then you might get an exemption in that English requirement or if you are currently holding a passport of a country which is eligible for that then also you are eligible for that English exemption now we'll move on to the assessment Pathways for ndns Australia so there are two Pathways which is accredited qualification and non aggregated qualification so in accredited qualification if you have

studied something accurate accredited in Australia let's say if we are talking about the courses which were accelerated in Australia uh in the in advanced diploma for civil engineer then you can directly get a skill assessment without any experience uh and if you have studied something related to bachelor's as well or uh something related to Masters which is also accredited you can get a skill assessment as a professional engineer as well so if you're let's say if you study something in overseas so there are other Pathways as well which is Washington Accord Sydney according Dublin Airport

so your qualification must come under that list then only it will uh it will get accredited and you will get the skill assessment uh without um any experience and in this pathway so let's say if it's not accredited for you if you have studied something which is not in any of those lists then you will go on the another pathway which is CDR pathway so basically this pathway also does not require any experience so you don't require any experience in order to get a skill assessment in this pathway so you just need to provide three

project reports and on the basis of these three project reports you need to uh write a CDR report so CDR report uh basically is the summary of this project report so if you submit those report to antennas Australia then they will give you the skill assessment in that pathway so this is uh more popular in terms of because most of the people don't have an accredited qualification so uh everyone coming from offshore overseas they apply through this path and is the most popular pathway so moving on to the another skill assessment Authority which is vertices

so invertis is four occupations they look after so first one is the scale level one occupation which is construction project manager so the requirement of this occupation is that you must have studied a higher rate relevant bachelor's degree in that nominated qualification so it must be related to construction project management your study and plus you require one year of post study work experience in that nominated occupation within last five years so study plus one year of experience will give you a skill assessment as a construction project manager and the another uh occupations for uh this

art and school skill level 2 occupations which are draft person technician and administ project administrator so in this uh if you the requirement is you just require an eqf diploma or hire and one year of experience so that must be relevant okay so the aqf diploma or hair must be relevant and one year of post study excellent must be relevant in your nominated occupation in order to get the skill assessment but let's say if you don't have an uh relevant occupation then you require two years of experience so they have given uh like another option

in this case so two years experience is required for that let's say if you uh don't have let's say a relevant occupation and you have a certificate for in that which is highly relevant so aqf diploma is not relevant but certificate 4 is relevant then you again require just one year of experience so that is another option which is the third options uh for this one there is also fourth option so the last option so if you don't have any highly relevant qualification which is a key of diploma hire and that study it is not

a post study so let's say if someone has got an experience which is previous uh previously let's say in offshore they have got an experience of two or three years they have studied something over here requirement diploma are higher and then they want to apply for the skill assessment then it's required it is possible you just require three years of experience so there are four options in this one so the difference between antenna social and matrices is that that you require an experience in vertices but for antenna social skill assessment you don't require any experience

so moving on to aiqs so aiqs um there are also two Pathways in that so both pathway requires uh one year of post study employment so if you are going through accreditative pathway or not you require one year of post study employment before it was uh there was no experience requirement in this one but recently they have introduced expense requirement uh for quantity surveys so if you've studied uh accredited study or non-accitated study you require one year of experience so let's say if you have studied masters of a project uh construction management or Bachelors of

construction management then you require you need to make this requirement of one year of post study employment and then if you have six each you can apply through this pathway for the quantity surveyor now what are the future Pathways for this one so let's say uh as I previously explained this we have got 485 Visa 189 190 and 491 Visa depending on which occupation you are in and employ sponsor Visa like four eight two one eight six and four nine four so first of all 485 is a is divided into two streams which is uh

like graduates work stream and post study Works in so the requirement for The Graduate work stream is that you must have studied in in a course which is in MLT SSL scale list so if you study in that course then you might get a visa for two years so in graduate work stream um you can get a Visa 485 for two years but in post study work stream if you study something related uh to engineering which is Bachelors or Masters or hire course then you can get a visa for three to five years so uh

even if someone has studied Advanced diploma as as we have discussed previously as Jill mentioned that the benefit of this course is is that it's in MLT SSS scale list and then you are eligible to apply for 485 Visa as well now we'll discuss the general skill migration which is basically the pr pathway so General skill migration is divided into three streams which is 189 Visa 190 visa and 491 Visa so 491 has got two streams as well which is family stream and uh the state nominated stream so what are the basic requirements for the

GSM General skill migration Visa so you require at least 65 points okay and first requirement is that you should get six each minimum so if you don't have six each you won't get any points for six each uh in the eui but six each is the minimum requirement to apply for the eui then you should have a skill assessment so we just discussed the skill assessment you need to apply for the skill assessment you require minimum 65 points this 65 points are including the state nomination points as well let's say if you are applying for

190 or 491 so 190 in the state you will get five points and for four nine one uh State nomination or family sponsor you'll get 15 points so that is including that 65 points and recently we have received invitation in one and 189 for the civil engineers and the occupations we have mentioned over here that civil engineers got invitations as 85 points last time and the sum of uh the other occupations which is civil engineering draft person technicians project manager they have got invitation as 65.4189 so this is the data for the last Financial year

and for the next financial year currently they are not providing invitation for the next financial we can expect an invitation in around August so if you uh have not done this skill assessment and uh then I suggest you should go with the skill assessment and if you are planning to take this course as well you can take this course now we'll discuss the state nominations so as these are the states so first we will discuss for vector and most of the state nominations are closed right now because this is the end of the financial year

and the most of the states have closed uh like also Victoria has closed but these are the requirements for Victoria for the last Financial year and the requirements will almost remain the same for the next financial year as well until there are major uh changes in the state nominations Victoria has a higher number of seats and we have seen that they have been kind to civil uh and civil engineering occupations and draft persons and everyone and they have been giving invitations to them so the basic requirement for Victoria that you must be living and working

in Victoria so if you are living in Victoria and working in Victoria in any occupation then you are eligible to apply for 119 491 so subject to 190 the requirement is that you require an Hull and your annual learning so if you've got annual learning like 80 000 200 000 then there are chances that you might get a priority and your Roi might get picked up and you get an invitation they also want for 190 the requirement is that you should get higher points so let's say if you go to 85 to 90 points then

there are higher chances that you can get an invitation but as compared to uh 190 for 491 there is no requirement for higher annual learning and also you can get an invitation uh at around 65 to 70 points in that case so Victoria uh is a good State because the number of seats Victoria has received last financial and this financial year so Victoria is a good option to study and also to apply for the state nomination over here the second city is new Southwest New South Wales has also got good number of seats uh it's

also a busy state so for 190 the main requirement for Victoria is that uh you must be living uh not Victoria my part uh like it's nsw so for 190 nsw the requirement is that you must be living in nsw for six months that is the requirement and you should have higher points in your eui so if you got higher points like 85 to 90 points and you have been living in uh nsw for six months then your chances for invitations are had for 190 and all the occupations we just discussed previously are all available

in their list for nsw for one four nine one the requirement is quite simple uh they have got two Pathways um so first pathways are Regional Development Area Pathways so they have got two streams in that so let's say if you have been uh living and working in nsw based uh Regional area with some employer which is also based in nsw and earning uh income of 53 900 then you are eligible to apply in stream a for stream B you just need to apply through rdas so there are different RDS 13 RDS in nsw so

you directly apply through that and the requirement is that you must have lived in nsw for three months it is not required to live in Regional nsw you can stay in anywhere in nsw to where to be eligible for this one and the pathway to is similar to the streamly pathway so you directly have to apply for eoi if you meet the points requirements 65 points and if you are living in nsob for three months then you can apply for this pathway the requirement as compared to 194491 there uh the invitations will be coming at

lower points as compared to 190 so as 190 is 85 to 90 points you might get an invitation at 70 points for this one including the 15 points for the state nomination as well foreign this is also a good State South Australia so South Australia has also given good reputations last time and mostly all the occupations we just discussed are open in this pathway as well let's see if you study something in South Australia if you are a South Australian graduate like Bachelors or higher degree if you study then you just require like six months

of experience in your nominated occupation so let's say if you study something related to civil engineering uh you require to have six months of experience as a civil engineer in Greater idea or outer in the South Australia to be eligible for 190 so what is greater idea and outer inner South Australia so South Australia has divided their uh State into two parts which is greater radar which is basically Adelaide City and anything 100 kilometers away from that it is outer Regional South Australia so if you want to be eligible for 491 in the essay graduate

pathway you just require three months of experience after the study in either greater idea or outer Regional South Australia the second pathway for South Australia is working in South Australia let's say if someone from Victoria is moving to South Australia then they can be eligible for this pathway so for 190 for most of the occupations uh it is 12 months of experiencing greater Adelaide um for uh civil engineers it is 18 months of experience in Greater Adelaide for 190 pathway and for outer Regional it's the same it's 12 month of expense so if you have

got 12 months of experience United router in the South Australia or greater Adelaide then you will be eligible to apply for 190. for 491 it's six months of experience uh so six months of experience eligibility in outer in South Australia or greater Adelaide then you can apply for 491 after moving to South Australia there is also another pathway in outer in the South Australia 491 so if you are currently not working in a normative occupation in South Australia but you still want a 491 then if you have to move to outreachness out Australia you have

to leave and walk over there and you can work in any occupation 30 hours per week and then you are eligible to apply for this pathway so this is the most popular pathway right now for 491 in South Australia foreign Australia Western Australia has recently announced that they are going to give priority to the occupations which is related to construction so we can see some updates next time uh in the new Financial year that there might be some updates and they might give priority to the construction industry occupations so they have also got two parts

uh Pathways which is gratitude stream and uh General stream schedule 2. so in gratitude stream if you studied in South Western Australia for two years then you are eligible for that uh for 190 and in journal stream uh you require let's say internal stream if you are living anywhere in Australia you are eligible to apply in this pathway in general scene so it is depending on the number of points you have got in your EOS or you hire the UI points are the chance of invitation but for this one once you get the invitation you

need to provide them a six months of employment contract in your nominator occupation to be eligible uh to apply for 190 then only they will give you a final invitation while this is not a requirement for 491 so if you are applying for Journal same schedule to 491 then you don't require an employment contact you can directly apply from any state in Australia but currently as we've seen from past four to five months uh they are currently giving invitations to the ones who are living in Western Australia so they have a hierarchy so if you

are a graduate of Western Australia they will give you first priority if you are living and working in Western Australia then second priority to them and then the last priority to the ones who are living outside of uh Western Australia may be in another state the next state is ACD so for ACT they do have their own point system so even though you have to meet the 65 points in UI but act do have their own point system as which is called can be romantic so if you are meeting their cut like cut out points

for that can be romantic system so you are eligible for 190 and 491 so in one 90 the minimum requirement is that you must be working for six months before applying for the state nomination in any occupation and for 491 is three months of employment foreign Northern Territory um they have got two options as well first is Northern Territory graduates and other all the other uh like let's say someone has moved all the other as residents of Northern Territory so Northern Delhi graduates so if you have studied for two years in Northern Territory then you

are required to stay for six months on a foreign then you can get 190 subclass so study for two years then after two years you need to live there for six months on a full-time working Visa which will be a 485 Visa so let's say if you are not able to do that if you cannot stay for six months in Northern Territory then they might consider you for 491 Visa so if you are an integrated then you can also apply for 491 if you are not able to stay after two years of study in Northern

Territory so if you have moved uh to Northern Territory then you can come in the other category in other you are required to work therefore full time and stay there for full time and the work should be in your nominated occupation then only you are eligible for 190 which is a tough requirement uh for Northern Territory but you are always like eligible for 491 let's say if you have stayed for 12 months in Northern Territory and if you've got six months of employment in your nominated occupation then you can apply for this 491 pathway so

all the occupations are open for not literary right now so you can apply through that the last date is this Mania so Tasmania do have an extensive program and currently they have not closed for this financial year but generally in a summary I can tell you that for 190 and 491 if you have studied in Tasmania for two years let's say if you study the bachelor's or masters degree and then you will be eligible for 190 as a Tasmanian graduate or if you have got six months of an employment in your nominated occupation then you

will be eligible for one nine one ninety as well for 491 the study requirement decreases a bit which is like one year of study in Tasmania and uh if you have got six months of employment uh then also you are eligible in this pathway and the six months of employment doesn't require to be in your nominal occupation it can be in any skill level one two three occupation in Tasmania so you can see the skill level online that what are the skill levels of each occupation and then if you are working in that occupation which

is not related to your skill assessment as well then also you are eligible for 491 Regional Visa as well so basically 189 and 190 are are a PR Visa which is like permanent residency but 491 is a regional visa and will give you a Visa of five years so in that five years you have to stay three years in any Regional area and you have to work in the traditional area and provide free notice of assessment to be eligible to apply for a PR pathway which is 191 Visa so State nomination is done we'll move

to the other options uh so we got one Queensland as well sorry so in Queensland uh the requirement uh for 190 is that you should have 80 points or higher in your UI and you should have like completed six months of full-time experience in your nominated occupation so if you have done that then you require further of a letter for 12 months uh in that nominator occupation with the same company to be eligible for 190. for 491 the requirements are a bit easy which is like 65 points in your eoi and three months of experience

only in Queensland so now these are the other Pathways so let's say if you are not eligible uh for any skilled visas or if you want to explore on other Pathways as well then you can apply for the uh employee sponsor visas like 482 Visa which is called temporary skill shortage Visa 186 visa and 494 Visa so 482 Visa there is no age requirement in that Visa so let's say most of the skill visas are 45 years of age requirement but 482 Visa doesn't have any age requirement so you can apply for this Visa at

any age and this is a temporary Visa um it it can lead you to PR if your uh if if your occupation is in MLT ssla so it will lead you to 186 Visa so in 186 Visa there are two options so if you've got three years of experience you can apply for directly three years of experiencing your nominated occupation if you've got skill assessment then you can apply indirect entry one and six Visa but if you are already on a 482 Visa which is a temporary visa and you stay three years on that Visa

then you can apply for 186 Visa via transition stream then 494 Visa four and four Visa you require a mandatory skill assessment for this visa and it is also an employee sponsor Visa but a regional and pro sponsor Visa then it will lead you to a 191 Visa same as a phone 491 leading to one and one but in this one this Visa 491 visa to be eligible uh you have to stay for three years with the same employer and work with the same employer in that five years period and then you can apply for

the 191 Visa so I hope I have covered everything in this session if you have any questions you can ask have you got any questions yeah thanks harshit for the presentation so we do have few questions that are foreign yeah one of our one of our audience has asked that how can we find out if the course is accredited or not in particular Institution okay so usually it is mentioned on the college's uh website but sometimes they don't tend to update it regularly so the best thing to do is go to the engineers Australia's website

just type on Google a graduated program or accredited colleges by Engineers Australia and there you will get an option to select the uh course level whether you are looking for bachelor's Masters or diploma or any of those things then you will get an option to select the state and then you can just click on search and you'll get all the options which are accredited uh perfect thank you and also uh another question is uh is that true that we can compete the complete the course in one year on 485 Visa will that make someone eligible

for skill assessment if someone completes the course in one year yeah so a lot of colleges have started this that if the student is on 485 Visa they can do a fast track course but uh I would actually request the migration agent to give his views that uh harshit is uh you know skill assessment possible on a fast track one year of course uh skill assessment uh it is required that you must have studied for at least two years in order to meet the skill assessment requirements then only it is possible to apply for antenna

social skill assessment okay thanks Jill thanks harshit for the answers uh uh go back to harshit for the questions from our audience and the first question is from Amir that is is it possible to submit eoi for 491 or 9190 for uh Western Australia while leaving and working as a civil engineer in qld and has already submitted eoi for 190 for qld uh yes I mean it is possible to launch an UI for 190 and 4912 uh like for Western Australia while living and working in Queensland because they do accept uh EOS and they do

give invitation but as I said that currently from past four months they are not giving invitation to Interstate applicants so they are currently giving invitations so the uh like applicants who are living even if they are not working in Western Australia but if they are living in Western Australia then they are giving invitations to them but if you have already lost the US uh or if you are not launched okay then the next financial year they will have seats uh like they've got new seats for the new Financial year then possible that you can get

an invitations and if you are working as a civil engineer in Queensland then there are higher chances that you might get a 190 or 491 from Queensland as well I guess you heard our uh migration agent so the next question is from uh M Patel it says I currently resign reside in Perth Western Australia and I'm pursuing a master of engineering mechanical professional degree at cqu unfortunately CQ use Perth campus is closing and my last two subjects are being conducted online I'm concerned about how this situation might impact my application for State nomination when applying

for permanent residency or and additionally I am interested in transitioning to the construction sector as a design engineer could you please provide guidance on how can I make this career move okay so firstly uh Mr Patel um in this one as you have just got through subjects left and the Perth campus is closing then you'll still get an outcome letter a completion letter that with the location that you're completed in the Perth campus so it will help you to load a state nomination for 190 as a graduate but still will like to look at your

completion letter when it is out so we cannot comment in that right now but yeah if it's still written as a Perth campus and yeah you definitely be eligible to apply as a Western Australia graduate and what was the next question you are transitioning into construction yeah yeah he's he's interested in transitioning into the construction sector as a design engineer so uh he wants to know if this career move is um good for him or what do you suggest um yeah it is possible let's say if you if you want to go for a design

obtaining PR for individuals working in civil Construction and design in terms of career growth and stability should I repeat my question okay can you come again please yeah yeah what are the potential benefits or advantages of obtaining PR for individuals working in civil Construction and design in terms of career growth and stability okay so I hope that if you have if you have been working in the documentation okay then you must have studied something related to that then definitely you can get this skill assessment done and as I mentioned already that uh there 184189 uh

as your occupation is in MLT SSL skill is then you have received an invitation as 65 points as well so there are future chances in that and let's say you know Australia these occupations are in demand right now so definitely you will get more opportunities as in terms of employment as well as in terms of uh like let's say 189 invitation 190 1491 State nominations as well so there's one more question a few more questions actually a few more questions from the audience uh one is from archana uh she says hi I'm studying diploma in

civil construction design do I need to work in the same field is there any benefit by doing so uh she's in Victoria currently uh yes archana so let's say we need to look at the course what you have been studying if it's secretary here then you don't require to work in the same field but if it's not aggregated you require at least one year to experience or more um then you can get the skill assessment done in in Victoria uh and if you are in Victoria right now then you can apply for 190 and 491

once the state nomination opens so it is not required for Victoria as well that you must be working in a nominated occupation you can be working in any occupation to be applying for 190 and 491 uh the next question is from Brian uh he says uh he's nearly finishing his Advanced diploma in civil engineering in construction uh from Western Australia in September but he has no work experience and still uh and he he seeks the advice that is he still eligible for 491 Visa uh yes Brian so if you have uh studied Advanced diploma uh

then once you get the skill assessment you will be eligible to apply for 491 invest in Australia without any experience because they don't require any experience over there so yes definitely it is possible to get 491 Visa perfect uh thanks harshit uh next question is from Linda she says uh does the points decide the selection of eoi or the demand of the occupation decide the selection of her eoi uh let me uh can you come again on the question yeah she says does the points decide the selection of eoi or the demand of occupation decide

the selection of our eoi uh actually uh Linda um they are before the financial year they checked the demand of the occupations what is the demand of the occupations uh in Australia according to that their location seats to each occupation and if that occupation is in demand you will be allocated more seats so if there are number of seeds or more in an occupation then the chances of eoi points going down is slightly high so if there are like thousand seats uh let's say for an accountant and if there are 5000 seats for it Engineers

or in civil occupations then yeah definitely they they will civil engineers and ID occupations will have less points in their UI to get an invitation there is one more question from Rizal he says I have skill assessment in accounting and I'm on my student visa now will it be benefited if I study civil construction design uh is also if you have got a skill assessment as an accountant uh and you are on student visa you can uh still apply for a state nomination or 189 Visa because we have got uh invitations in accountant at 85

points as well uh and 90 points as well depending um on which uh skill assessment you have got external auditor or taxation accountant okay so it is possible for accountant as well but if you want to study civil and construct civil construction design as well then we have to check that uh like what level of study you are on right now let's say if you are already on a bachelor's or Masters Degree okay then it will be hard to like drop down to the IQ of level okay of a diploma so if you are already

studying diploma you can also go for that civil construction design as well or you have to apply for a new Visa if you want to go for that occupation you can get two skill assessments simultaneously and apply for both skill assessments for 189 General skill migration 119 491 as well uh the next question is from Muhammad he says I have 10 years of experience as quality engineer civil engineer what is the process to apply can you please explain step by step by process uh yes moment so first of all you have to go for the

skill assessment so if you are a civil engineer and you got experience so we can get your experience assessed as well from Engineers Australia and using that experience you can apply for State nomination so if you are onshore or offshore I am not sure but if you are offshore then there are so many uh state which are giving invitations at like three to five years of experience and we have recently received many uh invitations in civil engineer at lower points with three to five years of experience so you have got higher chances to get 491

in 189 190 uh in in States like Northern Territory Queensland then you got uh Western Australia as well Victoria also uh like offers offshore migration as well so most of the states offers offshore migration so yes you are you can definitely apply and if you are onshore and if you have got an experience over here in Australia which is 10 years of experience then it will be really good you'll get 190 or four nine months straight away thanks harshit it was really a very descriptive answer so uh Amir our one of our participants again asks

that for civil engineers living in living and working in Australia is it required to have 12 months future Employment contract to apply for 190 in qld uh depends I think uh if you have studied in Queensland uh then um I think it is required so if you have already six months of experience in Queensland as a civil engineer and then you are applying with higher points over there which is 85 points that is the requirement for eor then you require 12 months of future Employment contract over as well for 190 I think that is not

requirement for 491 but for one and it is a requirement for future Employment contract thank you so Linda is back with another question that she asks I'm working as a technical lead support in architectural for kid and glazing but my qualification is not relevant to the occupation which is automobile engineering do I come under civil engineering industry to be accessed under EA uh Linda I have to check your qualification first uh in in order to do that so I think your occupation is automobile engineering so I I guess you are trying to say that you

have studied automobile engineering you are working as a technical lead support so it won't be possible to get a skill assessment in civil engineer as your study is not relevant to uh your uh what your study let's say Bachelors or Masters then it won't be possible to get a skill assessment but still I suggested like meet any of our migration agent okay do uh I suggest to book an appointment show your profile and then we can guide you if there are other options as well related to your occupation which is your employment or your let's
