so we're now gonna bring our beginner in Sandra and look at the forehand swing so Santa you've got you've got it you've got the correct grip which is great you've got the ax wrists lightly cocked I wouldn't over exaggerate the risk that shouldn't be way up in the air just a nice easy position with the racket bounced out in front of you open the face of the racket a little bit and then you're taking the racket back so we're gonna we're looking at the swing one of the things about being the left is it's a
mirror image so you get the idea of what's going on what I want you to think about doing it here is you're going to step on your left foot but your swing when you swing I want you to end up pointing at that front wall where the ball goes now I don't care if you miss the ball it doesn't matter but I would like you to finish where you are swinging and pointing where the ball goes one more do that do one more again okay now do me a favor you're going through the racket very
open here I want the racket pointing totally that way at the front wall rather than open can I move into just keep it on yes that's what I want to see pointing that way I don't want to see it like that I want to see it finished up like that at the front wall okay let's go back again to the start position don't worry if you miss I don't care if you missed the ball I want to see a great swing nice and easy swinging through pointing at the front wall with the racket so you
cannot see the strings if you can see the strings it's a bad finish try and get the racket round there let's see if we get that racket really pointing straight at out front wall yes nice step that left foot let it bounce nice easy swing through that front we'll pull it through and pointed that from war yes a little bit higher you can go a little bit higher you want to do yeah cool great nice and easy let it bounce go nice shot brilliant and again rack it up same thing through and up I'm lucky
one more keep it going it's good it's good it's good here we go through and up go shot not bad at all I'll let you get the ball Sandra thanks so a little bit we've got to get that racket through a little bit earlier a little bit you're a little bit slow onto the ball get that racket through a little bit earlier not quicker just earlier rack it up let it bounce go nice swing nice swing don't worry about don't worry about that I'm going to take you up the front I'm move here guys up
the front little bit closer you ready nice and easy let's see when you get that ball onto that front wall nice and easy push it up good shot great shot so we've moved up to the front to make it a little bit easier to get the ball to the front wall make it as easy as you can for your beginner so they don't feel too discouraged and again go nice shots and one more go go go cool let's just see if you can hit the ball I'm gonna try and play it back to you and
you can hit a second time right nice and easy go good ready have a girl Nellie Nellie Nellie try and keep your back foot on the floor try and keep that back foot those toes on the floor and you're in the shot yeah cool rack it up nice and easy good swing shot go go go alright so part of the part of hitting the part of hitting a good good a good shot is to stay balanced you're getting a little bit off balance in that you're doing that as you hit the ball you're taking your
back foot off them off the floor keep keep both feet on the floor and keep well balanced nice and easy ready here we go nice shot second shot nice and easy good third shot nice and easy brilliant that's up ball I like it this is good this is good shot we got it going and we go great so as you can see we're getting a rally going we're starting to get a rally going we started the rally by taking sander up to the front to make a little bit easier let's go back to the tee
and see if we can do it from the tiara this time so you got to keep that swing done all the way through pointing it that from Hall liked it up nice and easy take your time balanced stay balanced no I like that I like it I like it we're gonna see if we get a little bit hard on the front ball so when you hit the ball you've got to keep the racket face slightly open as you're hitting that ball yeah and then all the way through don't forget a point point out come on
I like my like it's okay I like the swing keep that swing gone it's a brilliant swing and go nice boast so it's tough with beginners it can be very tough it can be a little bit frustrating but you must never be frustrated it couldn't take is that long as it's going to take as long as it takes for your beginner to be able to hit the ball well and they get into a rally but as you saw earlier Sandra now we're getting into a rally at the front of the court and she was getting
very comfortable up there obviously as she gets better you're going to draw back to the tee to start thinking about hitting the ball to the back of the court so two or three things to think about good grip wrist slightly cocked not over cocked you don't want the racket work they're just nice and easy out in front of you taking your racket back for the swing stepping in on the correct foot and swinging through it that fog wall Sandra very straight through and again then again again nice and easy you got it that's a great
shot once more rack it up swing through that from ball nice nice great shoot great shots and again yes good so we got so we got Sandra hitting the ball pretty pretty decent the next session would be on the backhand side
