to get the sculpture inside the eye of a needle. He first uses tiny tools to carve a rough figure all while looking through a microscope. But as he works, his heartbeat makes the veins in his fingers [music] pulse.
And even the slightest movement can ruin a piece. So he only works in [music] between heartbeats. Next, he refineses the shape until it's perfect.
[music] And to paint it, he plucks out a single eyelash and attaches it to [music] a tiny handle. then uses this as a brush. For tiny ships, he uses spiderw webs [music] in place of ropes and files the bottom of the needle to make it rough before sticking the finished piece inside, making these some of the smallest handmade sculptures in the world.
