[Music] do you obey God do you obey his word in order for us to grow as Believers we need to look carefully in God's word and seek to follow the example that Jesus Christ set while he was here on this Earth the Bible in Philippians 2: 5 says You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had now what does that mean it means that we need to have the same attitude the same mind that our Lord had so let's take a look at the example that Jesus Christ set Mark 1:35 says very early in
the morning while it was still dark Jesus got up left the house and went off to a solitary place where he prayed now why is it that the Bible would go into such detail to tell us what Jesus did and when he did it early in the morning he got up and went to a solitary place to pray why such detail what do we need to learn from this well I believe that praying in the morning is you setting your priorities for the day you are focused on God when you begin your day seeking the
Lord then you will find that it's easier to continue throughout the day in God's presence or or in the same Spirit of prayer secondly praying in the morning will align your spirit to God's Will and purpose for your life and for that day you will be a lot more sensitive to the voice of the Lord in your heart when you wake up and put him first I believe that we should all make it a practice to seek God first each day seek God first and then everything else follows through the action of setting aside time
to pray first before you start your day you are saying to the Lord you are the most important thing in my life having an established prayer time in the morning can tune our spirit to receive from the Holy Spirit we get direction insight to what the Lord desires to do with us us today to do through us even perhaps there is a Divine appointment that God is set up perhaps there is someone who seeks a word of encouragement or a smile or some kind of assistance maybe it's you that needs to receive something from someone
whatever the case starting your day by spending time in prayer can help align you with God's will for for your day and for your life Jesus would frequently take time to go away from others and spend quality time with his father in prayer sometimes entire nights what Jesus was doing was aligning himself in the Divine will he was taking time to listen to what God had to say to him and receive marching instructions for his mission if Jes Jesus the son of God needed to take time to align himself with the will of his father
how much more do we need it now let us [Music] pray dear Lord Jesus we praise you and glorify your name your word in Psalm 118 verse 24 says this is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it thank you for this new day I confess that the joy of the Lord is my strength you Lord Jesus are our source of strength to overcome the devil we put all focus and attention on you we magnify you above the Troubles of Tomorrow we magnify you and put you above above every
Health crisis every Financial setback and every problem father God we will not worry about tomorrow because your word in 2 Corinthians 12:9 says my grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ May rest upon me you are with us Lord and we are grateful as your children we are grateful that you are with us and your grace is always available and sufficient for our needs we choose to focus on the Healer instead of the sickness we
choose to focus on the provider instead of the lack we choose to focus on the way maker instead of the obstacles ahead we choose to focus on you King Jesus because we find favor in you we find protection in you we find Mercy in you we invite you Lord Jesus to move in a mighty way move in a mighty way in our lives Lord clear every trap that the devil has hidden in my path I pray that you would guard my mind against discouraging and depressing thoughts I rebuke all thoughts of worry and anxiety about
what tomorrow holds and about what the future may hold instead I choose to have peace because I will have faith in you Lord and when the enemy throws darts of confusion of depression doubt and even despair trying to weaken my faith or steal my joy I pray Lord Jesus that you will protect my mind with the helmet of salvation even in this present moment if I do struggle to live with the uncertainty of this world and all that is going on I pray that you would help me to keep my mind focused on you Psalm
143:8 says cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning for in you do I trust cause me to know the way in which I should walk for I lift up my soul to you you are a God who is faithful to deliver those who trust in you so father we cast all of our cares and worries to you we surrender all to you because you are the one who neither sleeps nor Slumbers there is none like you thank you for your mercy thank you for your grace thank you for hearing our prayers we
