a person's greatest struggle is not with the world but with themselves the mind like a vast and Untamed Garden is filled with both flowers and weeds some thoughts Bloom into peace and wisdom While others spread like wild vines strangling joy and Clarity every day we wake up and enter this Garden the question is do we cultivate it or do we let it grow wild Buddha once taught that our thoughts shape our reality we are shaped by our thoughts we become what we think if the mind is filled with fear doubt and negativity life itself begins
to reflect these burdens but if the mind is nurtured with wisdom gratitude and Inner Strength then peace follows as naturally as a river flowing downhill in this teaching you will journey through a Zen story of self-discovery where a Wandering Seeker learns the seven things to tell themselves every day seven simple but powerful affirmations that shape the Mind into a tool of wisdom rather than a source of suffering let this story be your guide and may each lesson plant a seed of Truth in the garden of your mind the seeker and the old monk there was
once a traveler restless and weary seeking the answer to a question that burned in their their heart why do I suffer even when I have done no wrong why does my mind feel heavy even when life is peaceful no matter how far they walked the answer seemed just Out Of Reach one day deep in the mountains The Traveler Came Upon an ancient Monastery an old monk sitting beneath a flowering tree watched them with calm knowing eyes Master The Traveler said I have wandered the world searching ing for wisdom but my heart is still Restless my
mind is never at peace what must I do the monk smiled and replied every day you must plant the right thoughts in your mind tell yourself these seven things and your suffering will begin to fade like Mist in the morning sun The Traveler listened closely as the monk revealed the seven [Music] teachings one I am exactly where I need to be the monk looked at the traveler and said where you stand now is exactly where you are meant to be no step in your journey has been wasted The Traveler frowned but I feel lost how
can I be in the right place the monk picked up a leaf and let the wind carry it away does the leaf struggle Against the Wind no it surrenders trusting that the wind will take it where it must go the same is true for you the past brought you here the future will take care of itself this moment is where you are meant to be the traveler felt a sudden lightness in their heart often people resist the present thinking they should be somewhere else doing something else living some other life but resistance is the root
of suffering accept where you are trust the path the present moment is never wrong two I am stronger than I think the monk then said every day remind yourself that you are stronger than your mind tells you the traveler shook their head I have been defeated many times S I have doubted myself more than I can count the monk gestured to a rock in the river the river strikes The Rock endlessly yet the rock remains strength is not the absence of struggle it is endurance through it you have survived every difficulty you once thought would
break you that means you are stronger than you think the traveler realized that they had overcome hardships before and yet they were Still Standing doubt is a trick of the mind it Whispers that you are weak but the truth is every hardship you have faced has only made you stronger you are more resilient than you know three I let go of what I cannot control the monk picked up a handful of sand and squeezed it tightly the more he squeezed the more the sand slipped through his fingers control is an illusion he said the tighter
you hold on the more you lose the traveler side but I want things to go my way I want life to be predictable the monk let the sand fall from his hand you cannot control the wind but you can adjust your sail you cannot force people to stay but you can love them while they are are here do not waste your energy trying to control the uncontrollable let go and peace Will Follow The Traveler felt an immense relief suffering often comes from trying to control life but the truth is control is a mirage Letting Go
does not mean giving up it means making peace with what is beyond your grasp four I am grateful for what I have the monk then handed The Traveler a cup of tea drink he said the traveler took a sip it is warm and calming the monk nodded for this moment you are content but if you only focus on what you lack you will never taste the sweetness of Life The Traveler thought about all the things they desired tied wealth love recognition they realized they had been so focused on what they didn't have that they never
truly enjoyed what they did gratitude is the antidote to suffering if you always chase what you don't have you will always feel empty but when you appreciate the present even the smallest things bring joy five I deserve kindness especially from myself the monk asked if a friend made a mistake would you call them worthless The Traveler shook their head no of course not I would tell them to forgive themselves the monk smiled then why do you speak so cruy to yourself The Traveler realized how often they called themselves a failure how often they replayed mistakes
in their mind punishing themselves long after the world had forgotten self-kindness is not weakness it is necessary you deserve the same forgiveness and compassion that you give to others six difficulties are my greatest teachers the monk pointed to a tree with Twisted branches that tree grew strong not because life was easy but because it adapted to the winds and storms The Traveler saw the truth every challenge in life had taught them something the hardest times were the ones that had shaped them the most instead of fearing difficulties welcome them they are the lessons that shape
your wisdom and resilience seven my happiness is my responsibility finally the monk said do not place your happiness in the hands of others it is yours to create the traveler had often thought I will be happy when but now they saw the mistake happiness is not something to wait for it is something to choose stop waiting for some something to make you happy joy is found in the present in the way you see the world in the thoughts you cultivate a New Journey Begins the traveler bowed deeply thank you master I will remind myself of
these truths every day the monk smiled your journey has just begun from that day forward the Traveler's life changed not because the world changed but because their mind did and so can yours every day tell yourself these seven things and watch as your world transforms transforming the Mind transforming life the teachings given by the old monk are not just words to be memorized they are truths that when lived have the power to shift one's entire reality true transformation does not happen instantly it happens in the small choices we make every day when we wake up
when we Face difficulties when we feel doubt creeping in these seven affirmations act as guiding lights bringing Clarity to our path let us now reflect on each teaching more deeply exploring how they apply to daily life and how their wisdom leads to Inner Peace one I am exactly where I need to be the art of trusting the path it is human nature to believe that life should be different we often think I should have achieved more by now I should be happier I should be in a different place but these thoughts create suffering because they
resist reality imagine a river it does not question why it flows a certain way it simply moves trusting that it will reach the ocean when we fight against where we are in life we create unnecessary pain but when we embrace the moment and trust that we are exactly where we need to be peace begins to settle in begin each morning by acknowledging that your journey is unfolding exactly as it should if you feel lost remind yourself that even detour are part of the path trust that where you are today is preparing you for where you
need to be tomorrow this does not mean we stop striving for growth it means we grow from a place of acceptance not from resistance two I am stronger than I think the mind's trickery doubt is like a shadow it appears large and overwhelming but it has no real substance the Mind often underestimates its own strength Whispering fears that make us hesitate think about a time when you thought you couldn't endure something a heartbreak a failure a challenge but you did looking back you realize you were far stronger than you believed strength is not about never
feeling weak it is about continuing despite that weakness a tree sways in the wind but does not break likewise you may feel uncertain at times but that does not mean you lack strength when fear arises recall past moments of resilience instead of saying I can't handle this say I have handled difficulties before and I will again understand that doubt is an illusion what you fear is often much smaller than it appears with time this shift in mindset creates unshakable confidence three I let go of what I cannot control the key to Inner Peace one of
the greatest sources of suffering is trying to control the uncontrollable we want people to act a certain way we want life to follow our plans we want to prevent all pain but life is not meant to be controlled it is meant to be lived consider the season no matter how much we wish for summer to last forever winter still comes we cannot control the seasons but we can prepare for them likewise we cannot control life but we can control our response to it identify what is within your control and focus only on that when something
frustrates you ask can I change this if not let it go except that uncertainty is part of life peace comes from embracing it not fearing it by letting go you do not lose anything instead you gain freedom from unnecessary suffering four I am grateful for what I have the secret to happiness a mind that always seeks more can never be satisfied but a mind that appreciates what it as finds joy in even the smallest things think about a moment when you truly felt gratitude perhaps when you saw a beautiful sunset received kindness from a stranger
or simply enjoyed a meal in that moment nothing was missing gratitude is not about having more it is about recognizing that you already have enough each morning name three things you are grateful for instead of focusing on what is missing focus on what is present understand that happiness is not in material things it is in appreciating life itself a grateful heart is a magnet for peace five I deserve kindness especially from myself the power of self-compassion many people are kind to others but harsh on themselves we forgive others but hold on to our own mistakes
we offer Comfort to friends but criticize ourselves relentlessly but imagine speaking to a child the way you speak to yourself would they feel supported or broken the truth is we all deserve kindness especially from [Music] ourselves when you make a mistake speak to yourself with the same compassion you would give a friend do not let self-criticism become a habit replace it with self-encouragement understand that Perfection is an illusion you are human and that is enough the moment you become your own Ally instead of your own enemy Life Changes six difficulties are my greatest teachers growth
through challenges most people see hardship as something to avoid but in truth hardship is what shapes us a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor likewise an easy life does not build wisdom think about the most meaningful lessons you have learned did they come from Comfort or from struggle each difficulty is a teacher in Disguise helping us grow in ways we never imagined instead of asking why is this happen happening to me ask what is this teaching me recognize that pain is temporary but the lessons it brings last forever trust that challenges are shaping you
into a wiser stronger person with this mindset even difficulties become blessings seven my happiness is my responsibility the ultimate truth many people believe happiness comes from external things money relationships success but true happiness is an inner State independent of circumstances a person with nothing can still find Joy a person with everything can still feel empty this proves that happiness is not about what you have it is about how you see life if you place your happiness in the hands of others you will always be at their Mercy but if you create happiness within yourself self
no one can take it away how to practice this teaching daily stop waiting for something to make you happy find joy in the present moment realize that nothing external can fill an internal emptiness take responsibility for your emotions your peace is in your hands once you understand this you become truly free living the teachings the old monks words were not just teachings they were a way of life the traveler in the story realized that true peace does not come from changing the world it comes from changing the mind now the choice is yours each morning
remind yourself of these seven truths let them shape your thoughts your actions your life with time they will no longer be words you recite they will be wisdom you embody and when that happens suffering Fades peace takes its place your mind is the Garden of Your Life tend to it well thanks for watching Hope enjoyed this video don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more content like this just click the Subscribe button below and hit the notification Bell so you never miss an update also feel free to leave a comment and let me know
