[Music] I want to encourage you. I want you to know that we have a God who shows his might when we think there is no more hope. We have a God who will begin to do his best work right at your breaking point.
We have a God who will begin to make the impossible possible just when you think something will never happen. We have a God who will lift you up when you think you can't get up anymore. And so here's what I want you to believe.
I want you to believe the word of God that says in Ephesians 3 20 to 21. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think according to the power at work within us. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever.
Amen. Now allow me to speak about doubt for a moment. Beware of doubt because doubt is the enemy of faith.
Doubt will only ever see the obstacles in front of you. However, faith faith sees the way. Faith believes that God will make a way even when it seems like there is no way.
Doubt will see darkness. Doubt will see despair. But faith will see the day.
Faith will see the light. It will see hope. Doubt will you as a person.
But when you trust God, you could take a leap of faith. Trusting God dispels all fear. Faith and fear cannot simultaneously occupy your mind and heart.
It's impossible. You either have one or the other. I want to talk to someone today who has struggled with doubt in their faith at one point or another.
And it's nothing to be ashamed of because many of the figures in biblical history, they faced doubt at some point in their journey with God. Moses, he had his moment of doubt. It occurred when he questioned his ability to speak publicly after God instructed him to go and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.
Abraham is another person who doubted God. The Bible says in Genesis 17 15-17. Then God said to Abraham, "Regarding Sarai, your wife, her name will no longer be Sarai.
From now on, her name will be Sarah, and I will bless her and give you a son from her. Yes, I will bless her richly, and she will become the mother of many nations. Kings of nations will be among her descendants.
" Then Abraham bowed down to the ground, but he laughed to himself in disbelief. "How could I become a father at the age of 100? " he thought.
And how can Sarah have a baby when she is 90 years old? In this passage of scripture, Abraham literally laughed in disbelief. Imagine that.
God tells you something. And because it's so far off the realm of what you believe to be possible, you laugh. Let me tell you something.
Unbelief can be a great enemy in our lives. Sometimes people are so consumed when it comes to what's going on in their lives and they begin to think that they live under constant spiritual attack from the devil. But I would like to tell you that sometimes our greatest enemy is not the devil.
It's not demons. But rather it is our unbelief. Let me show you how dangerously powerful unbelief is.
The Bible reads in Matthew 13:es 53-58. When Jesus had finished telling these stories and illustrations, he left that part of the country. He returned to Nazareth, his hometown.
When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, "Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles? " Then they scoffed. He's just the carpenter's son.
And we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers, James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?
And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, "A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family. " And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.
Now let that sink in. The son of God in the flesh, the one who walked on water and performed miraculous healings and wonders. He did very few miracles in Nazareth because of what?
Unbelief. Unbelief restricted the power of God to operate. Now, I encourage you, don't let this be the story of your life.
The truth is, God can perform miracles in your life. If you believe God can break you free from that addiction if you believe. God can mend your marriage.
He can change your children's behavior. Only if you believe. And so, saints, I'd like to say, even now, may God bring healing into your life.
Even now, may the Lord open new doors in your life. Even now, may Jesus Christ make you whole again and restore joy into your life, peace into your life, and comfort. Let us pray.
Lord Jesus, we praise you because you are a God who can operate without limits or restrictions. Your word in Isaiah 43:16 says, "Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters. You, Lord, will make a way in the desert.
You will create rivers in the desert. You are still a God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. When we are surrounded by the enemy, you are a God who delivers.
I thank you. I praise you, Lord. Because when it looks as though the Red Sea of the unknown will overcome us, we will call out your name, the name that is above every name.
And that name is Jesus Christ. and we will ask for your help to make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask you, Lord, to split the sea of uncertainty before us.
Turn the unstable ground we're on into solid and steady ground. Lord, speak the words, "Peace be still in the storms that we face. Calm the seas in our lives.
" Lord, we trust in you to be the solution. We are trusting you to be the chain breaker, to be the way out for whatever it is that comes against us. Be with us as we continue to fight and strive to walk by faith and not by sight.
Give us the strength to always hold on to our mighty savior that is Jesus Christ. We ask you to bring peace where there is worry. We ask you to bring freedom where there is captivity.
Lord Jesus, we ask you to bring deliverance where there is oppression. Even now, Lord, even today, even in this present time, you are able to work miracles. Lord Jesus, you are a rebuilder.
You are a restorer. And regardless of what our present circumstances look like, you can rebuild every broken home. You can mend every broken heart.
You can fix every broken relationship. For this Lord Jesus, we glorify and praise your holy name. Psalms 30 10-12 says, "Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me, oh Lord, be my helper.
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing. You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. Oh Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
Indeed, may all thanks be given to you forever more because you are a faithful God. Lord Jesus, in our present circumstances, we may be in the middle of great difficulty. We may be under pressure and in distress.
But your word says in Matthew 11 28-30. Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.
For I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Father, we can only find rest and restoration in you.
We can only find true peace and lasting peace in you. And so for all the burdens I carry, for all the burdens that weigh me down, I cast them to you, Lord Jesus. I acknowledge my weakness and I bow down to your strength.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 says, "But he said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.
For when I am weak, then I am strong. Lord, in my weakness, I am strong because greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. Thank you for giving me sufficient grace.
Give me a heart that does boast in my weaknesses so that I can have your power rest upon me. Even now, Lord Jesus, as I ask for your hand to be shown in my life, I am content knowing that where I am limited, you are limitless. Where I struggle, you prevail.
Where I fall short, only you can make me overcome. Father, I bless your precious name. Thank you for hearing this prayer.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think according to the power at work within us.
To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. Blessed with spiritual security is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.
For he will be nourished like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear the heat when it comes. But its leaves will be green and moist, and it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought, nor stop bearing fruit. Hear, oh Lord, and be merciful to me.
Oh Lord, be my helper. You have turned for me my mourning into dancing. You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
Oh Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
