okay we're going to talk about the Grammys last night and I promise not to freak out out out if you watched it you will notice that Kendrick Lamar was rocking a Canadian tux with a denim hat and looked amazing I'm going with a darker denim he was going with a lighter Denim and he looked incredible as he won song of the year but some of the other things that people are talking about are Beyonce winning album of the year if you remember from earlier last year that she had never won she's I I think won
the most Grammys but never won album of the year and really kind of got robbed in 2017 when she lost with the lemonade record to Adele who had the 25 record that won album of the Year honestly the lemonade record was a far stronger one even though the song Hello was a massively big hit but that that lemonade record of Beyonce's her best record most critically acclaimed should have won album of the year that year this is so political that it's pretty obvious who's going to get nominated it's always the biggest AR I mean who
who was at the thing last night Taylor Swift Billy ish Beyonce Chapel ran she's had a huge record Sabrina Carpenter Bruno Mars it's all the obvious people there's always like one artist in every category it's like I never even heard of them but for the most part all the biggest artists are the ones that get nominated and or win these things let's talk about a few of the categories where I think it's very odd who actually was nominated and who won them let's look at the The Rock category the Rolling Stones won best rock album
MC Jagger and Keith Richards are in their 80s they ought to have a senior category you know kind of like in golf if you're over 50 years old you play on the seniors tour well they should have the seniors Grammys for people that are in their 80s I mean come on really if you said Let It Bleed sticky fingers or Exile the main straight be like yeah well unfortunately those records happened 50 years ago right or maybe 60 years ago I can't even remember it was so long ago some of the other nominees in the
category Green Day definitely seniors tour they're over 50 Pearl Jam they're seniors tour but a lot of them are over 60 Jack White I think Jack might even be in the senior tour I think maybe Jack's in his 40s so so we can have Jack Jack can be in here so let's check out some of the actual younger artists that are contemporary let's check out fontaine's DC cool star [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] burster I'm not sure why they got nominated they only have 3.8 million followers on Spotify this song has

It's Casey Musgraves record this song's called too good to be true but this doesn't sound like a country song it's like a pop song but it's beautiful bath and breakfast made some love this is what dreams are made of on a cloudy Monday morning summer's gone and you're still here for both of us it's been a year a hi way without a warning please don't make me regret beautiful opening up that part of myself okay maybe that's a country song right let me go back to Beyonce this is a song called [Music] spaghetti and I'm
still on your head cornrows they call me the captain the cwalk Assassin know what come all ofch or bodyguard is another song on there in my Bon sometimes I take the day of [Music] Po I so to me the Beyonce record does not sound like a country record and honestly the Casey Musgraves record doesn't sound that much like a country record Chris Stapleton that's a country record and I think it's difficult too because the genres are just so mixed at this point that the categories almost mean nothing another ridiculous award was for best rock performance
and it was won by The Beatles I love the Beatles everybody watching this knows I love the Beatles but come on for the now and then song really it's from a cassette recording of John lennin that's the best rock performance is something that was put together with AI against Idols against Green Day against Jam whoever it is I mean it's ridiculous right that that would be the best rock performance why is it even in the category the big two categories song of the year and album of the year Well album of the year had eight
nominations in there now in the old days it used to be about five or so to me there's way too many nominations the people nominated Andre 3000 that was for new Blu Sun Beyonce Cowboy Carter short and sweet by Sabrina Carpenter brat Charlie XCX Jesse volume four Jacob col Billy ish Hit me hard and soft rise and fall of midest Princess chapel rone and tortured poets Department Tor Swift out of that Beyonce one I said I didn't think that her record was the best country record is it the best record in here no I don't
