on July 16th 1945 at 5:29 a.m. on the Alam Mardo bombing range the first nuclear detonation Trinity was conducted we were led to believe we were testing out the first nuclear weapon so it could be used against our enemies a man who worked closely with the scientists at Los Alamos and requested to go by the name of WB claims there was something far more Sinister the government was trying to destroy in the blast on the Alam Mardo range was a hanger they rightly named hangar DCL xbi because of what was being kept inside this is
a story WB told his family shortly before he died in 1989 as you know I was an assistant to one of the main scientists who I shall not name but will call KG at Los Alamos the entire time during the Manhattan Project what you don't know is the real reason we tested the bomb specifically on the Alam Mardo range sure we'd already planned on building the bomb but it's what happened in early spring of 1945 that made us drastically change and accelerate our plans I'll never forget the day we found out about it it was
early morning on March 5th 1945 I was sitting in the office transcribing for kg when in barged one of the men Hart Who kg had sent out a few days before with two other men to scout for possible locations to test detonate the bomb we expected them to be gone for at least a week checking several different areas so this caught us off guard come quick sir Something's Happened to Jones and Miller he shouted he then turned and ran back outside towards the truck he was driving I looked over at kg who said let's go
so we jumped in the truck with hard and sped off as we made the long drive down there we repeatedly asked him what had happened and where Jones and Miller were but he would not give us a straight answer all he would say is you won't believe me you'll have to see it we eventually gave up asking and drove most of the way in silence I knew heart to be a credible e even killed man so this made me even more nervous as we got closer to Alam maggardo when Alam Mardo came into view I
looked over at Hart and could see the life leave his face as it turned white his eyes were fixated on something so I looked over and could see something off in the distance but couldn't make out what it was when we were within a 100 yards Hart suddenly slammed on the brakes and said this is as far as I'm going there they are he said as he pointed to something on the ground ahead of us based on their clothing it looked like Miller and Jones there was something very odd about them though but I couldn't
tell exactly what it was from that far away kg and I got out of the truck gave each other concerned looks then slowly started approaching them when we got within about 10 ft of them kg said oh my God what's happened to these men I gasped and said nothing as I felt like my eyes were betraying me there on the ground were Miller and Jones who again I was able to identify by their clothing their faces and skin were grotesque looking looking it looked like their bodies had been dipped in a vat of acid something
else that was very odd next to them was a large old wooden box on top of the box were the engraved Roman numerals DCL xbi I knew instantly what the numerals were having a keen interest in such things since grade school there were also some other Engravings on the box in a language I didn't recognize do you know what those numerals I said but was quickly cut off by kg who said yes I know but I don't know what the other Engravings on the box mean I looked back at Hart who was still sitting in
the truck refusing to even get out what happened to these men I asked I have no idea something Beyond us something unexplainable I'm going back to Los Alamos to get help and supplies to quarantine off this area I want you to remain here let no one near it and touch nothing until I return He said yes sir was all I said as I backed further away from the men and the box kg then turned and walk back to the truck as I followed I wanted to tell him no I didn't want to wait there but
I knew refusing an order would cost me dearly what happened here Hart asked kg well sir we were driving through this Valley when Miller spotted something and told me to stop he and Jones got out and walked over to what I'm assuming was that box at first I couldn't really see it from where I was at I was looking in the opposite direction for a minute or so and when I turned back to look look at them they were like you see them now at first I thought they were messing with me until I walked
over there and saw them like that I imediately jumped in the truck and drove back to Los Alamos without stopping he replied kg didn't reply to heart as he looked to be deep in thought then walked over to the passenger side and got in before they took off Ki stuck his head out the window and said no one near it and keep your distance as well I nodded my head but thought to myself he didn't need to tell me to stay away I then walked aways in the opposite direction and sat down on a large
Rock never taking my eyes off the bodies waiting for them to return was the longest time of my life and up to that point was the most scared I'd ever been I almost cried when I saw the sets of headlights approaching from across the valley floor early that following morning when they pulled up I was surprised to see just how many soldiers and trucks filled with equipment and supplies kg had brought back it felt to me like he knew what was going on and was prepared for it he immediately came up to me and asked
anything happened while I was gone no sir nothing I replied good was all he said he then called everyone to form a circle as he instructed them on what they were going to be building and under no circumstances were they to touch the bodies of Miller and Jones and especially not the wooden box I follow kg around that night as he supervised and explained to the soldiers they would be constructing a hanger over the Bodies In The Box he said it needed to be be assembled within 96 hours and they'd be working around the clock
we set up a makeshift camp and spent the next 4 days supervising the construction of what we eventually named hanger DCL XVI since kg and I were there from the beginning we were involved in every aspect of Hangar DCL XVI once the hangar was completed kg and I remained along with four Soldiers the rest were sent back to Los Alamos the first day we started studying the Bodies In The Box I remembered being deathly afraid I stood back and watched as kg would get extremely close but would never touch them or the box he took
samples of the bodies using only instruments to see if we could rule out potential causes of death hoping to eventually determine what actually killed them one extremely odd thing that was occurring was the bodies never started smelling or decaying it was if they were frozen we took pictures of everything including the wooden box and sent them back to Los Alamos to see if we could translate the language on the box days went by before we got word they found someone who could translate it a few days later a man in his 60s who had been
blindfolded showed up at the hker accompanied by a soldier when we brought him inside and showed him the box and bodies he looked as if he was staring death in the face at first I thought he was going to tuck ta and run out of the hanger but once he gained his composure he walked closer to the wooden box and asked where did you find this did the men touch it these men along with another man were driving along when one of the men you see there spotted the box and they both went over to
it the man who stayed in the truck turned away for a minute and when he looked back this is what happened he didn't see them touch it but he assumed they did I responded this box is very old and the language on it is Sumerian it's one of the oldest languages in the world said the man what does it say asked kg the man continued inspecting the box then looked at kg and said the photographs I was allowed to see didn't have these other writings but they say he who is worthy and possesses the Box
shall rule in Hell once five something are taken the ruler will be given their throne in hell and on Earth some of these other words I've never seen before replied the man when I heard that part of me didn't want to believe it but after what I'd seen I couldn't deny it might be true there's something else on here I can't fully understand but I think has to do with the very beginnings of I think that word is witchcraft but I'm not certain may I take a picture of it with me to see if I
can fully decipher it the man asked yes WB make it so said kg as he looked at me yes sir I replied as I went and grabbed several photos off the table for the man and handed them to him I'm going to request you remain at lost animals for the time being whatever you need to decipher will be brought to you discuss this with no one understand kg said to the man I could see fear in the Man's eyes as he nodded his head acknowledging he understood he was in blindfolded and escorted out of the
hangar and driven back to Los Alamos kg didn't say much the rest of the day he was a brilliant but Moody man and I knew how to deal with him it was best to leave him be if he wasn't talking to me first we'd go back to Los Alamos for a few days then we'd come back and spend a few days studying the Bodies In The Box in that time we hadn't come up with any clear conclusions as to what happened to them or why the bodies weren't decaying kg was sharing all of the detailed
notes I took to one of the higher-ups back at Los Alamos but he would never tell me who I had an idea of who it was though it was the evening of April 4th when we were back on the Alam Mardo range the next morning I woke up earlier than usual as I couldn't sleep I ate breakfast then went inside the hanger and over to the body in the box and as I did I dropped the cup of coffee I was holding I couldn't believe what I was seeing the box was there but the bodies
of Miller and Jones were gone I immediately turned and ran to kg's tent sir come quick the bodies of Miller and Jones are gone I shouted what are you saying he replied I'm saying they're not in the hanger anymore I replied quick go tell the soldiers what's happened and have them start searching for the them he said I ran to the soldiers tents woke them up and told them what had happened they quickly got dressed and started searching our camp it came up with nothing being in the desert we could see quite far but we
saw nothing as we scann the area except for the Old McDonald Ranch House off in the distance the soldiers started Fanning out and it didn't take long before one of them yelled out hey I got something over here we ran over to his position and could see a set of footprints going in the direction of the McDonald Ranch and another set heading towards the mountains we decided to split up into two groups with me going to the ranch house while the other two soldiers and kg went to the mountains I admit I always used my
brain more than my body so I was afraid to go but kept that to myself as I sat there in the truck heading towards the house I wondered what was going on how could these men be up and walking if that was the case I wanted nothing more than to leave that place and go back to my home to see my family when we got to the house one of the soldiers instructed me to stay in the truck as they searched the house and the surrounding area I had no problem with that as I watched
them get out and begin searching about 25 minutes later they came back saying they found nothing and that the footprint stopped at the steps leading into the house but there was nothing inside stay tuned for part two next Sunday for more scary horror stories please subscribe
