SALISH MATTER: I just heard a sound. Collin, shine the light on that. COLLIN MAPLE: What?
SALISH MATTER: And I'm almost 100% convinced that there's an animal in my house. COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. That's huge.
SALISH MATTER: What animals make nests? I'm all alone because my dad and brother are in Dubai right now. JORDAN MATTER: Just chill.
SALISH MATTER: Can I just, like, leave and go to, like, my friend's house or something? And my mom is with the dogs in San Diego, but I've been hearing these sounds, like, all this morning, and I'm so nervous. How do I get down, bro?
I'm scared. Go, go, go, Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: Yo.
What's up? SALISH MATTER: I need you to come to my house. COLLIN MAPLE: Why?
SALISH MATTER: I'm pretty sure there's an animal in the house. COLLIN MAPLE: I promise there's not an animal. SALISH MATTER: No, Collin.
Please come over. Bring all of your equipment-- like your drone and your night vision thingy. I'm scared.
Do you hear that? COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. I don't hear anything.
What are you talking about? SALISH MATTER: Just get to my house. Now, I have to go downstairs and wait for Collin.
Did you hear that? It was another thud. Grab this to protect me.
I got this lamp. I'm not going to hurt it, but I mean, I kinda do want to protect myself. So if the animal comes, I'm just going to be like, yeah.
Go, go, go, go, go-- oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh. I'm scared. We made it.
I'm gonna call my dad. I'm so scared. Dad, I need help.
I'm really scared. JORDAN MATTER: OK. Hold on.
Wait, wait, wait. I want to show you where I am. Look.
SALISH MATTER: Oh, my goodness. There's an animal in the house. JORDAN MATTER: OK, wait, wait, wait.
What kind of animal? SALISH MATTER: I don't know, but it keeps on going like this. JORDAN MATTER: You know I'm in Dubai, right?
I'm 16 hours away. SALISH MATTER: It's fine. Just get on the closest flight, and please come home.
I'm scared. JORDAN MATTER: What about mom? Have mom do it.
SALISH MATTER: She's not home. JORDAN MATTER: What kind of animal? Is it like an alligator?
SALISH MATTER: Don't say that. JORDAN MATTER: In our neighborhood, it could be like small little rodents. SALISH MATTER: It could be a coyote.
JORDAN MATTER: It could be a coyote, yeah. I've seen them. Can you call somebody to come over?
SALISH MATTER: Well, I'm waiting for Collin right now, but he's taking forever. And I have that lamp right there in case, like, something tries to hurt me. JORDAN MATTER: What's the lamp going to do?
SALISH MATTER: I don't know. It's taller than me, though. JORDAN MATTER: OK.
So Say, just chill. SALISH MATTER: Can I just like, leave and go to, like, my friend's house or something? I don't want to be here.
I'm scared. JORDAN MATTER: You know what? I'm going to send over, babysitter.
SALISH MATTER: No, dad. Dad! Dad!
It's fine. Sorry. Gotta go.
Bye. So he doesn't really know what to do either. He said that he was going to call me a babysitter, and I think he was joking.
But now, I really need to prove to him that I can stay alone. I need to catch this animal now. You guys see anything?
COLLIN MAPLE: Salish. SALISH MATTER: Finally. Oh, my goodness.
You took forever. COLLIN MAPLE: Why do you have a lamp? SALISH MATTER: I don't know.
There might be an animal. COLLIN MAPLE: What is a lamp going to do? SALISH MATTER: Pretend you're the animal.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Yeah. SALISH MATTER: Yeah!
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. OK. SALISH MATTER: Yeah!
COLLIN MAPLE: If the animal is a spider or a small bug-- SALISH MATTER: It's not a spider. COLLIN MAPLE: --I'm going to be so angry. SALISH MATTER: I hear it.
COLLIN MAPLE: You hear it? SALISH MATTER: Yeah. COLLIN MAPLE: What do you think is in here, Say?
SALISH MATTER: I don't know. Just listen. [SCREAMING] COLLIN MAPLE: You're actually crazy.
SALISH MATTER: No. I'm actually not. I'm going to go get us more fighting utensils.
Here you go. COLLIN MAPLE: What am I supposed to do with a bike pump? SALISH MATTER: If you see an animal, just trap it.
Like, you can't be like-- yeah! Yeah! You gotta chill because I need to get this animal out safely.
I don't want to hurt it. That's why I have a broom. I'm just going to be like-- COLLIN MAPLE: You're just going to sweep it out of the way?
SALISH MATTER: Yes. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. SALISH MATTER: It's starting here.
It's not in there. So when you step in here, be careful, because it could just bite your ankle off. COLLIN MAPLE: What is going to bite my ankle off?
SALISH MATTER: The animal was in here, bro. COLLIN MAPLE: Say, it just shut the door! It just shut the door!
[LAUGHTER] SALISH MATTER: You need to take this more seriously, Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: I'm being serious. SALISH MATTER: No, you're not.
COLLIN MAPLE: I'm being serious about the real threat of a spider that you're scared of. SALISH MATTER: It's not a spider, Collin. I wouldn't make this big of a deal for nothing.
COLLIN MAPLE: Do you know how many, like, random noises houses make? That's a thing, Say. I think you're a little paranoid right now.
SALISH MATTER: I'm not paranoid. Can you check under the table for me? COLLIN MAPLE: And nothing.
When we do find the spider, it's going to be really embarrassing for you. SALISH MATTER: Check the fridge. They like fridges.
COLLIN MAPLE: Who-- who's they? What-- SALISH MATTER: The animals. [MUSIC PLAYING] This is the scariest place.
Yo! I just remembered this story. Like, six months ago, my whole family was watching TV on the couch, and then they heard something.
[SCREAMING] JORDAN MATTER: What? SALISH MATTER: And an animal popped up out of the cabinet and ran under the couch, and they have no idea what animal it was. But everyone was screaming, and it was really scary.
JORDAN MATTER: I'm not going to even come down here if I'm thirsty in the middle of the night. I don't even know what to do. This is scary to me.
Now, I'm scared. SALISH MATTER: What if it's that animal? COLLIN MAPLE: You guys didn't catch it?
SALISH MATTER: No. I'm going to call my mom because she was there. LAUREN BOYER: Hi.
SALISH MATTER: Mom, do you remember when an animal came out of the cabinet and like, ran under the couch? LAUREN BOYER: Yeah, I remember. That was really terrifying.
SALISH MATTER: I need you to show me exactly what happened, because I'm pretty sure there's an animal in the house right now. LAUREN BOYER: If you go all the way to the corner, I think there's a little hole. Yeah, right under there in the corner.
SALISH MATTER: Oh, I see it. LAUREN BOYER: That was where the little animal came out. And then it ran across under the couch.
I'm like three or four hours away right now. SALISH MATTER: So you'll be home, like, later tonight? LAUREN BOYER: Yes.
Can I send, um, our neighbor over? SALISH MATTER: No, no, no. It's fine.
It's fine. It's fine. LAUREN BOYER: I don't want an animal stuck in the house.
Like, what if it's a biting animal? SALISH MATTER: It's fine, mom. I got it.
Thank you. Love you. Bye.
I'll see you later tonight. OK. We gotta really do something about this animal.
I need to prove to my parents that I got it. I'm going to tape up the hole. Do you finally believe my mom?
COLLIN MAPLE: I believe your-- like, I believe that story. SALISH MATTER: Let's do a good luck handshake. Did you hear that?
COLLIN MAPLE: What was that? SALISH MATTER: You finally believe my mom, Collin? COLLIN MAPLE: I did hear that.
SALISH MATTER: And it's still there. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. SALISH MATTER: You suck in crisis.
Who would want to be your wife? I got somethi-- supplies. COLLIN MAPLE: The animal is going to chew through the tape.
SALISH MATTER: No, it's not. I'm going to grab a card, and then I'm going to tape the card to the hole. I'm scared.
I hate you, Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: You got it? SALISH MATTER: Yeah.
OK. Let's go. I have an idea.
Found it. COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. What do you need flowers for?
SALISH MATTER: You'll see. Now, we need a sifter. I'm just going to pour the flour through the sifter to make it smooth.
And if there's animal tracks, we can see there's actually an animal when we're upstairs. Come on. Shush.
COLLIN MAPLE: You can't be serious. There's something in the vents now? SALISH MATTER: Maybe.
I already checked my room. I heard something. I'm going to check the vents.
This could be scary. COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. SALISH MATTER: Be prepared for anything, Collin.
COLLIN MAPLE: I'm ready. What? SALISH MATTER: There's a hole in the vent.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: That confirms we have an animal in here. COLLIN MAPLE: That does not confirm an animal.
SALISH MATTER: OK. I'm opening it. COLLIN MAPLE: It's weird, but it definitely doesn't-- SALISH MATTER: There's 100% animal in here.
Can you stick your face in there? COLLIN MAPLE: If there is an animal, I don't want to stick my face in there. SALISH MATTER: Oh, so now you believe there's an animal?
COLLIN MAPLE: I mean, I'm saying if there were to be an animal-- if there were to be an animal, I don't want to stick my face. SALISH MATTER: OK. Well, you don't think that there is an animal, so go ahead.
COLLIN MAPLE: I don't but-- SALISH MATTER: Go ahead. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. I'm-- fine.
Fine, I will. SALISH MATTER: Yeah, I can film you. COLLIN MAPLE: No, it's-- SALISH MATTER: Salish Cam.
COLLIN MAPLE: Is it like-- SALISH MATTER: Get all your-- fully in. COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. [LAUGHTER] You lost camera privileges.
You lost camera privileges. SALISH MATTER: Can I have your phone? COLLIN MAPLE: For-- for what?
SALISH MATTER: I need a flashlight. COLLIN MAPLE: Do not drop my phone. SALISH MATTER: I'll try not to.
No promises. Hold on. Oh, my gosh.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: It curves around. Bro, there could be so many animals back there.
COLLIN MAPLE: All right. I got this. Basically, there's a camera here, and there's a long-- it's a flashlight on this as well, so it'll be-- SALISH MATTER: That does not look like a camera.
COLLIN MAPLE: It is. SALISH MATTER: Whoa! COLLIN MAPLE: Don't put it down your mouth.
Stop! Stop! Hey, remember when we're looking for animals?
That was fun. SALISH MATTER: Yeah. We're going.
Come on. [SCREAMING] Collin! COLLIN MAPLE: Sorry.
I'm sorry. Do you-- do you see it? SALISH MATTER: No.
Nope. COLLIN MAPLE: There's an animal? SALISH MATTER: Look.
COLLIN MAPLE: What-- what? That's-- that's just dust. SALISH MATTER: No, it's a slug right there.
COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, it is. I think it's-- it's just a bug. SALISH MATTER: Ew, I told you.
COLLIN MAPLE: I told you it's a bug all along. SALISH MATTER: There are more animals down there. They just are hiding.
COLLIN MAPLE: I think the only thing that is down there is this bug. SALISH MATTER: I feel bad for it. COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, do you want to rescue the bug too?
SALISH MATTER: No, not really. But wait-- there are more animals. I know that there are.
Well, that means we gotta keep searching. COLLIN MAPLE: OK, let's keep going. [MUSIC PLAYING] [SCREAMING] SALISH MATTER: You don't want to make it mad.
Collin, there's definitely something in the attic. COLLIN MAPLE: What would be in the attic? SALISH MATTER: I wonder.
That's why I don't want to go in there. COLLIN MAPLE: What if it's a ghost? SALISH MATTER: Collin, stop.
This is serious. COLLIN MAPLE: I am serious. Let's get to the bottom of this.
I got you. Don't you worry. Don't you worry.
I got you. All right. SALISH MATTER: Is this an antenna?
That's so olden day. COLLIN MAPLE: Mm-mh. SALISH MATTER: So what is this?
COLLIN MAPLE: It's a ghost radar. You're going to walk around the house, and if it makes noises, that means there's the ghost, which I think is much more likely than the animal. Walk around.
It might-- it might give you some clues. SALISH MATTER: Maybe you're a ghost. Can we just go look for the flower?
COLLIN MAPLE: It could make noise. SALISH MATTER: Let's look at the flower. COLLIN MAPLE: Keep listening.
SALISH MATTER: I am. COLLIN MAPLE: Say, dude, listen-- just listen to the gho-- what? SALISH MATTER: Bro, b there's actually an animal in here.
COLLIN MAPLE: Uh-- [LAUGHS] Is that a foot? That might-- SALISH MATTER: Look, this is a foot. COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah, I think you're-- OK.
SALISH MATTER: OK. Let me just check the security camera. There's a security camera right there, and it could have seen the animal that came.
COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, good. OK. I'm sorry for ever doubting you.
SALISH MATTER: You should be. Collin, it cuts off right here. You can't see anything right here.
Like, stops right there. COLLIN MAPLE: Dang it. SALISH MATTER: I think that we might have, like, blueprints of the house somewhere.
Found them. COLLIN MAPLE: What are you looking for, though? SALISH MATTER: Then we can just see, like, where else it could have come from.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? You know how to read blueprints? SALISH MATTER: You don't?
I feel like I'm in Stranger Things. This is where the footprints came. We are right here, so it could have come from the hallway to the door outside to here.
So it could have entered if somebody opened the door and didn't notice-- from the door to all the way into the pantry. COLLIN MAPLE: That's likely, but like, where is it hiding now? Is there any cabinets close to the pantry that we haven't checked?
Because yeah, yeah-- wait, wait. Look, look, look, look, look. There's a little path, and it cuts off here, but presumably maybe it went-- SALISH MATTER: Where?
COLLIN MAPLE: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. There's something scratching right there on the paint. SALISH MATTER: So now, you believe in this thing.
COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah, I'm in it now. I just saw-- I saw footprints. I'm totally in it.
SALISH MATTER: Told you! I think the only place that could have come from is the attic, so we got to go check the attic. COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, so you're going in the attic?
SALISH MATTER: I'm scared. COLLIN MAPLE: Grab your broom, dude. SALISH MATTER: Yeah, I'm going to get my broom, and I'll get a couple other weapons.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Suit up. Yeah.
You might want to, like, wrap up in bubble wrap or something. SALISH MATTER: I could wrap up in a trash bag. COLLIN MAPLE: So trash bag, broom-- you got this.
SALISH MATTER: Let's get suited up really quick. COLLIN MAPLE: We? SALISH MATTER: We-- you're coming with me.
COLLIN MAPLE: I'm not going in the attic. SALISH MATTER: You're not coming with me? COLLIN MAPLE: No.
I'm going to be watching from afar and just making sure everything's going OK. SALISH MATTER: So who's filming? COLLIN MAPLE: I'll give you a phone, and then you can just kind of, like, vlog as you're up there.
No, wait. Why is it-- you don't bag me. Yeah.
How is that helping? SALISH MATTER: It's protecting you. What if the thing has rabies, and they bite you?
Then they just bite the bag. COLLIN MAPLE: I don't really know how this is really protective in any way but-- SALISH MATTER: This is very protective. COLLIN MAPLE: OK.
[LAUGHTER] Good. Nice. OK.
SALISH MATTER: Are you ready for battle? COLLIN MAPLE: I'm ready. SALISH MATTER: OK.
Let's go. Did you hear that? COLLIN MAPLE: What was that?
OK. What if we just don't go to the attic, though? I mean, I'm sure it's comfortable.
SALISH MATTER: Oh, I need to figure out what's in my house. We could go into battle anytime now. If we see an animal, you're not leaving me in the dark.
COLLIN MAPLE: Say, I would never do that. SALISH MATTER: We need a plot for something really sick. I think it's a skunk, or it could be a raccoon.
It could be a snake. COLLIN MAPLE: I don't know if a snake is leaving footprints but-- SALISH MATTER: I'm scared. COLLIN MAPLE: Do you hear that?
Say. SALISH MATTER: Something is scratching, and I hear it from there. OK.
Ready? 3, 2, 1. What?
COLLIN MAPLE: I thought I saw something. Sorry. Just gonna keep going.
Keep going. SALISH MATTER: Collin, help me-- COLLIN MAPLE: Did it bite the broom? SALISH MATTER: We need to lift this up, so I can get the broom out.
There's definitely something. It's biting it right now. COLLIN MAPLE: What?
SALISH MATTER: Is there any animal? COLLIN MAPLE: I can't see anything. It's too dark.
SALISH MATTER: What if we get your drone, and we fly it in? COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, that's good. Yeah.
Here. Wait-- SALISH MATTER: Collin! Did you hear that?
Go get your drone. Go, go, go. I'll watch it.
You got it? COLLIN MAPLE: I got the drone. I got the drone.
It's going to take off. SALISH MATTER: OK. What do I do?
COLLIN MAPLE: You got to send it in the attic. OK? Yeah.
Good. Good. Left side.
SALISH MATTER: Here. You do this part really quick. COLLIN MAPLE: OK, fine, I got it.
And hey-- you take the rest. Wait. Do you want to, like, name it before it goes in?
Like-- SALISH MATTER: Yeah, I'm gonna name it Goat Part two. COLLIN MAPLE: Goat part two. All right.
Bye, Goat. All right. What do you see?
What do you see? SALISH MATTER: I can't see anything. COLLIN MAPLE: What?
SALISH MATTER: Do you see an animal? Look-- it's completely black. COLLIN MAPLE: Dang it.
All right. Fine. Bring it back down.
SALISH MATTER: Bring it back down? COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. SALISH MATTER: It was perfect, but it was way too dark.
COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. SALISH MATTER: So what if we added a flashlight? COLLIN MAPLE: I have a pretty tiny one that I think I can fit on top.
SALISH MATTER: All right. Let's go. Let's go.
COLLIN MAPLE: You don't need your armor anymore? SALISH MATTER: No, bro. I'm not going up there.
OK, here's the drone with the light on it. But now, we have to make sure that it's not too heavy to fly. COLLIN MAPLE: Hey, you know what you're doing, right?
SALISH MATTER: Yeah. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Oh, whoa!
Say, careful. OK. It works.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa-- whoa! Oh, my-- careful! SALISH MATTER: I almost just died.
COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, Say. Whoa. Is it still OK?
SALISH MATTER: No, it just broke. Wait, actually? COLLIN MAPLE: Yes.
I thought you said you knew how to fly it. SALISH MATTER: I thought I did. COLLIN MAPLE: Dude!
SALISH MATTER: Now, we have to think of a new idea. What if we use a toy car that I think I already have? I can FaceTime it with your phone from my phone, and I can attach a light, and then I can drive it while I'm on FaceTime with my phone.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Like, that sounds good. SALISH MATTER: OK?
So your phone's going to be up there. COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, like, my phone? SALISH MATTER: Yeah.
I found it. COLLIN MAPLE: OK, cool. Can we just talk about the whole my phone thing?
So I just want to-- SALISH MATTER: No. No. I found it.
Look. OK. COLLIN MAPLE: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
It works. It works. SALISH MATTER: Here.
Can I have your phone? COLLIN MAPLE: What if the animal is, like, huge, and like-- SALISH MATTER: Takes your phone? COLLIN MAPLE: Takes my phone, yeah.
SALISH MATTER: Then you lost a phone and a drone today. COLLIN MAPLE: I'm never coming back. SALISH MATTER: There.
Let's test to make sure your phone doesn't come out. Oh, perfect. OK.
Can you please hand me the car? COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. Here.
SALISH MATTER: OK. COLLIN MAPLE: You got it. OK.
Go, go, go, go, go, go. SALISH MATTER: Can you see anything on my phone? COLLIN MAPLE: Uh, yeah.
SALISH MATTER: This attic is super dark, super big. COLLIN MAPLE: Any animals? SALISH MATTER: And there's a lot of boxes.
COLLIN MAPLE: Do you see any animals, though? SALISH MATTER: No, but what are these boxes? Where would an animal be?
Probably behind the boxes, right? OK, I'll go behind these sets of boxes. COLLIN MAPLE: There's a lot of places for an animal to hide, so make sure you look at all of them.
SALISH MATTER: Hey, I'm looking at these boxes right now. It's going to jump out and like, attack me. COLLIN MAPLE: You're scared?
It's my phone up there. SALISH MATTER: Oh, my gosh. Bro, you love your phone, don't you?
COLLIN MAPLE: I don't want to lose it into the attic full of rabid animals. SALISH MATTER: Why? COLLIN MAPLE: The animals-- that's their home.
This is your home. What was that? What was that?
What? What? SALISH MATTER: I drove it into a hole.
COLLIN MAPLE: You drove the car into a hole? SALISH MATTER: What do we do? COLLIN MAPLE: What do you mean what do we do?
My phone's up there. Say, you are getting my phone. SALISH MATTER: Oh, I see a light, but I don't see the car.
All I know is that we got to go up there. COLLIN MAPLE: I don't want to go up there. SALISH MATTER: OK.
Come on. We gotta go get stuff. COLLIN MAPLE: OK.
Well, I want the broom to protect myself. SALISH MATTER: No, I want the broom. COLLIN MAPLE: If I'm going up first-- SALISH MATTER: OK.
I found one thing-- hairspray. COLLIN MAPLE: What is that-- what is that gonna do? SALISH MATTER: Hairspray we'll scare them.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK, fine. I'll take the broom. SALISH MATTER: We've got hairspray?
No. I get the hairspray and broom. COLLIN MAPLE: This is way better than a broom.
SALISH MATTER: That's so scary. We do need a flashlight. COLLIN MAPLE: I have a headlamp.
SALISH MATTER: I call your headlamp. COLLIN MAPLE: No. SALISH MATTER: I already called it.
COLLIN MAPLE: What do we think? SALISH MATTER: That's blinding. COLLIN MAPLE: It work-- it's working.
All right. SALISH MATTER: OK. Well, come on.
COLLIN MAPLE: You got it, and then me right after. SALISH MATTER: Hey, can I have your headlight really quick? COLLIN MAPLE: Sure.
You see anything? Good luck. SALISH MATTER: Hey, come on.
COLLIN MAPLE: Nice. SALISH MATTER: Hurry up. COLLIN MAPLE: I am coming.
SALISH MATTER: Give me your stupid Swifty. Bro. Collin, finally-- you took forever.
And I'm a little scared, so I kind of want to leave soon, but-- and it's creepy. So can we, like, get going? You took forever.
Let's go. Come on. COLLIN MAPLE: There's the car.
SALISH MATTER: There's the car. Look, it was stuck right here. Look, there's your phone.
COLLIN MAPLE: Can I-- oh, finally. Can I have that back? SALISH MATTER: Not yet.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: We might need it. COLLIN MAPLE: Do you hear anything?
SALISH MATTER: No. COLLIN MAPLE: Careful, careful, careful. SALISH MATTER: What?
I got a check. COLLIN MAPLE: I know, but just be careful. There could be anything.
Wait-- shh! SALISH MATTER: Yes? COLLIN MAPLE: I thought I heard something.
Sorry. SALISH MATTER: Oh, well, you didn't. COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, careful, careful.
SALISH MATTER: Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: Shine the light on that.
It's a nest. COLLIN MAPLE: What? Oh, wait.
That's huge. Oh, heck no. I'm going to leave, actually, if you want to stay up here.
SALISH MATTER: Whoa, wait. That confirmed that there's an animal. All right, we need to go.
Let's figure out how to catch it. I'm scared. Go, go, go, Collin.
COLLIN MAPLE: I don't know. It's your house. SALISH MATTER: Oh, my gosh.
You don't need your phone, bro. We could actually get eaten by an animal right now. I feel like I should close the door so the animal doesn't come out.
OK. Now, the animal can't come out. And if the animal came out, that would be really bad because then we're back at square one.
I actually can't believe that we found a nest. Like, that's insane. COLLIN MAPLE: I know.
SALISH MATTER: You know what? I think that I should call Asala because she's done this before, so she's like an expert on it. COLLIN MAPLE: OK.
Yeah. No. For sure.
SALISH MATTER: Hi, Asala. ASALA MALEH: What up home skillet? SALISH MATTER: OK, I have a question.
I know that you're, like, a pro at, like, finding animals in attics. COLLIN MAPLE: I'm sorry. Oh, my God, I hear it.
ASALA MALEH: --if it's an animal. If it's a-- so you need a bat. You need a spray.
I'm going to-- COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, no. ASALA MALEH: The horror movie. SALISH MATTER: Today, I figured out that there was an animal in my attic because there was a nest and like, other stuff.
And I was just wondering how to capture it, but like, safely. ASALA MALEH: You're trying to capture it? SALISH MATTER: With Collin, yeah, but basically me because he's pretty scared of everything.
ASALA MALEH: Oh, I was going to say rule number one we don't-- us girls, we don't go up there. I send someone. Either my brother-- SALISH MATTER: Yeah, I told you.
COLLIN MAPLE: I offered to go, and she wanted to go. SALISH MATTER: He made me go first. COLLIN MAPLE: I tried to go, and you were like, oh, let me go.
I'm like, OK. SALISH MATTER: OK. So how do we capture it, like, nicely?
ASALA MALEH: You need a net. SALISH MATTER: A net? ASALA MALEH: Like a really big one.
Do you have a taser? SALISH MATTER: No, but I don't want to hurt it. Like, I don't want to tase it.
ASALA MALEH: Just in case it attacks you. I mean, would you rather get hurt, or it get hurt? SALISH MATTER: Get hurt.
ASALA MALEH: Oh. To catch anything in life, whether it's men, rats, cats, whatever it is, you need a trap. SALISH MATTER: OK.
So to catch something, I need a trap. ASALA MALEH: Trap it. SALISH MATTER: Asala said the net-- that seems like kind of mean for, like, the animal-- to trap it and then carry it out in a net.
You know? So for this idea, we need rope, scissors, water bottle. We need a laundry basket.
COLLIN MAPLE: I'm a little lost. SALISH MATTER: I've seen this in movies. COLLIN MAPLE: I don't think everything in a movie always works.
SALISH MATTER: What we do? Tie this rope to the water bottle, OK? Then you have, like, a string, and it's tied firmly, so it's going to be like that.
COLLIN MAPLE: Right. SALISH MATTER: OK? We put cheese right there, then when the animal comes, I go like that.
COLLIN MAPLE: If any animal is the size of these grates on this laundry basket, though, what happens if it slips out? SALISH MATTER: You're right about that, so maybe we'll go see if we have a different one. COLLIN MAPLE: Do you have any, like, basket without holes maybe?
SALISH MATTER: What if I take this, and I tape it like this to cover the holes? COLLIN MAPLE: That's good. That works.
SALISH MATTER: OK? So we obviously know there's an animal up there, but we don't know what animal it is, so we don't know what bait they like. Animals like coconut, cheese, lettuce, molasses, cookies.
Cheese if it's a rat. OK, we have lettuce if it's a rabbit. We have coconut if it's a raccoon, and we have a cookie if it's any animal.
Cause, like, everyone likes cookies. We've got everything. Now, let's go to the attic to set up the trap.
COLLIN MAPLE: All right, let's go. SALISH MATTER: You do the tape now. I'm scared of the tape.
COLLIN MAPLE: Teamwork-- boom. SALISH MATTER: OK. We got the stuff.
Now, let's go into the attic. COLLIN MAPLE: How's it looking? You see it?
SALISH MATTER: No. Not yet. COLLIN MAPLE: OK.
SALISH MATTER: I think that we should set it up where the nest is because I mean, that's probably where whatever this animal is is going to go. It could literally pop out at any time. I'm kind of scared.
COLLIN MAPLE: Careful. SALISH MATTER: Oh, we just set it up right here, and we can move it over there. I'm actually, like, creeped out in here.
First the rope is attached to the water bottle. COLLIN MAPLE: Say, what is that? SALISH MATTER: I don't know, but I gotta hurry up.
I really want to get out of here. COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah, me too. SALISH MATTER: I'm, like, actually really scared.
COLLIN MAPLE: Let's get it going. SALISH MATTER: What are you doing exactly? COLLIN MAPLE: I'm here to document and make sure that we don't die.
SALISH MATTER: OK. You know what? Collin, this towel does not make sense.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? Do you hear that? SALISH MATTER: Collin, what's that?
Collin, we gotta go. We actually need to hurry. Listen.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: I'm scared. COLLIN MAPLE: I know.
Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
SALISH MATTER: Will you, like, fight the thing if it tries to hurt me? COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah. Where's my Swiffer?
SALISH MATTER: But don't hurt it. Oh, my gosh. You and your Swiffer are not going to do anything.
COLLIN MAPLE: Stay back-- asserting my dominance. SALISH MATTER: Wow-- really intimidating. I'm going to set it up right here.
Let's put cheese, a cookie, a coconut, corn. It's all set up. I then grab the rope.
COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. SALISH MATTER: Go, go, go, go. Go, go, go, go, go.
COLLIN MAPLE: What's that? I swear-- I swear it was in that corner-- over there. Over there.
SALISH MATTER: Should we go check? COLLIN MAPLE: You want to check? SALISH MATTER: It's kinda scary to check.
The trap is done. COLLIN MAPLE: We just gotta hurry. We just gotta hurry.
SALISH MATTER: Watch. Imagine the animal comes. COLLIN MAPLE: That's good.
That's good. SALISH MATTER: Now, I'm going to build a little fort with suitcases, so that I'm protected from whatever animal is there. And then I'm going to use this night vision camera to see when the animal comes to the trap.
And then I'll know when to pull the string. COLLIN MAPLE: Good. I'm sure you can see the trap.
SALISH MATTER: Yeah. I see it perfect. Now, we just gotta wait.
This is so creepy, Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. That's perfect.
SALISH MATTER: The trap. Looks so good. I just timed it perfectly.
So when the animal starts eating the bait, I pull it, and then hopefully the laundry basket will catch it. COLLIN MAPLE: You realize we could be here for, like, hours, right? SALISH MATTER: I don't care.
At least we get the animal. Bro, what if it's a really cute animal? COLLIN MAPLE: What if it's super scary and has rabies?
SALISH MATTER: But what if it's a bunny, and then we can keep it? COLLIN MAPLE: Do you see anything? SALISH MATTER: No.
COLLIN MAPLE: What about now? SALISH MATTER: If I saw something, I think I would say something. Wait, bro, I literally hear it.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK, wait. SALISH MATTER: I'm actually scared. It sounds like it's over there.
COLLIN MAPLE: Do you see it on the camera? SALISH MATTER: I'm so scared. OK, wait, Collin.
I think I might see something. I hear it. COLLIN MAPLE: What?
What? Did you get it? SALISH MATTER: I heard it.
I heard it. Let's go. Let's go.
Let's go. Let's go. Oh, my gosh.
What if I just got it? I couldn't see on the camera, but I heard something, and so I pulled it. 3, 2, 1.
It's there? No. What happened?
COLLIN MAPLE: But did you, like, see it run across on the camera? SALISH MATTER: No, but I thought I heard something. COLLIN MAPLE: Say, you gotta pull it when you see something go in there.
SALISH MATTER: I heard something. Shoot! COLLIN MAPLE: So it's still up here.
SALISH MATTER: Yeah, I understand we're still trapped with it. Yay. How about we look around?
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Yeah. I mean, I've been hearing it constantly, so it's gotta be close.
SALISH MATTER: OK. So let's just look around. COLLIN MAPLE: Is it too late for it to be a ghost?
SALISH MATTER: It's not a ghost, Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. SALISH MATTER: Collin.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: Look. This is all chewed up.
What if it's inside there? COLLIN MAPLE: Say, this might be like an actually, like, pretty big animal. I'm not going to lie.
SALISH MATTER: Collin, don't scare me. COLLIN MAPLE: I'm just saying. Like, that's a big hole.
SALISH MATTER: So what do we do? COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. So is this where it-- SALISH MATTER: There's nothing in here.
That means it was there. COLLIN MAPLE: Where do the pipes go then? Well, you know your house, so where-- like, are you able to get the layout of your house from here?
SALISH MATTER: Over there is, like, where my parents' room is. And then this, like, right there is the hallway. And this over here is somewhere where my-- COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, yeah.
Your room's over here, right? SALISH MATTER: Wait. COLLIN MAPLE: What?
In your room? Is it in your room? SALISH MATTER: Let's go check.
Come on. Come on. Come on.
Come on. Collin go, go. We actually need to go.
COLLIN MAPLE: Let's go. SALISH MATTER: In my room-- are you joking? COLLIN MAPLE: Hurry, hurry, hurry.
SALISH MATTER: Like, I thought I checked it earlier. That's where all of my stuff is. Collin, I'm actually scared.
My stuff is all here. Wait. I'm scared.
COLLIN MAPLE: I am too. Say, go. Go.
SALISH MATTER: Can't. Collin, go first. COLLIN MAPLE: I don't want to go in.
SALISH MATTER: Collin, go. COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. Let me set up a camera.
SALISH MATTER: I need something to capture it, but I need to know what it is first. COLLIN MAPLE: Wait. Let's listen.
Do you hear it? SALISH MATTER: I'm scared. I'm scared.
COLLIN MAPLE: Do you see it? Do you hear it? It's moving.
It's moving. It's moving. SALISH MATTER: What if it's in my bed?
Can you check my bed? COLLIN MAPLE: I don't think it-- where's your-- where's your vent? SALISH MATTER: It's right there.
Come on. I'm too scared to look. COLLIN MAPLE: I'm scared too.
I don't want to-- what if I step on it? SALISH MATTER: OK, I need something to trap it. Maybe I could grab a blanket, throw it on top.
Would that hurt it? COLLIN MAPLE: No. Wait.
Check the drawers. Check the drawers. Is there anything in it?
Wait. Just listen. Let's be quiet.
SALISH MATTER: Collin. COLLIN MAPLE: What? SALISH MATTER: Collin, I think it's in the shoe box.
It's like ripped. COLLIN MAPLE: OK, wait. So it must be small then.
Wait. Can you open it? I don't want to-- SALISH MATTER: Never mind.
COLLIN MAPLE: Dang it. You sca-- SALISH MATTER: Where is it? COLLIN MAPLE: Say, you don't have anything to catch it with.
SALISH MATTER: OK. Yeah. You're right.
I need to get a job. Bro, I'm actually scared. What do you think it is?
I think it's either a squirrel or a raccoon. COLLIN MAPLE: I think it might be a raccoon. Oh, yeah.
There you go-- pool net. SALISH MATTER: OK. COLLIN MAPLE: Perfect.
Are you ready? SALISH MATTER: No. My heart is beating so fast.
COLLIN MAPLE: OK. Ready? Wait.
Look on the floor. Go, go, go, go, go. Do you hear it?
Collin? SALISH MATTER: What? What?
COLLIN MAPLE: Collin, turn around. Collin. Oh, my God.
Oh, my gosh. SALISH MATTER: It's-- it's under the bed. It's under the bed.
It's under the bed. Oh, my gosh! COLLIN MAPLE: It's over there in the corner.
SALISH MATTER: No! No! Actually, no!
That's worse than a raccoon. COLLIN MAPLE: It's right there. SALISH MATTER: Oh, it's cute.
Aw! COLLIN MAPLE: Say, you're going to have to go get it. SALISH MATTER: It's so cute.
It's actually adorable. COLLIN MAPLE: I was expecting something much bigger. SALISH MATTER: Come here, baby.
COLLIN MAPLE: Hi, buddy. SALISH MATTER: Oh, bait-- where's the bait? COLLIN MAPLE: You didn't bring the bait?
Say, it's coming. SALISH MATTER: Come here. COLLIN MAPLE: It'll walk right in the box.
SALISH MATTER: Come here. Come here. It's so cute.
I don't want to hurt it. COLLIN MAPLE: Here. Let's go over here.
Put it so it runs in. Ready? Yeah.
Come on, buddy. Come here. He's kind of cute.
SALISH MATTER: Come here, man. Come here. I'm not going to hurt you.
I promise. I swear I won't hurt you. COLLIN MAPLE: Come on.
Oh, come on. Oh, it's going in. It's going in.
SALISH MATTER: Is it in? COLLIN MAPLE: Yes. SALISH MATTER: We did it.
I feel bad. What do we do? COLLIN MAPLE: I don't know.
I don't know. OK. We have-- we have him.
We can open up the top and then just take him out. SALISH MATTER: I'm not picking it up. COLLIN MAPLE: Oh, I want to pick him up either.
SALISH MATTER: I'm sorry, baby. I promise you're safe. Stop.
I feel so bad. COLLIN MAPLE: No. He's OK.
He's OK. SALISH MATTER: It's OK. COLLIN MAPLE: Hi, buddy.
Hey, dude. SALISH MATTER: Come here. I'm sorry.
I promise I won't hurt you. COLLIN MAPLE: Say! Say!
What are you doing? SALISH MATTER: I'm sorry. It was on my foot.
COLLIN MAPLE: What? Say. Say.
SALISH MATTER: Oh, I feel so bad. I probably scared it. COLLIN MAPLE: Yeah.
Now, we're never going to get him. SALISH MATTER: That was so scary. OK.
COLLIN MAPLE: Hi, buddy. SALISH MATTER: Come on. COLLIN MAPLE: Come on.
It's really comfy. It's really comfy. SALISH MATTER: It's so cute.
Collin, help me. COLLIN MAPLE: OK. SALISH MATTER: I need help.
COLLIN MAPLE: We just gotta scoop him up. SALISH MATTER: I have an idea. Come here.
Come here. COLLIN MAPLE: He's nice. Yeah.
Good, good, good. Put the lid on. Put the lid on.
We did it. SALISH MATTER: We did it. I feel bad now.
COLLIN MAPLE: We did it. SALISH MATTER: Where do I put it now? COLLIN MAPLE: OK, uh, I don't know.
All of that for a mouse? You brought me over for a mouse? SALISH MATTER: Stop.
I feel bad. We need to get out of here. It's so cute.
COLLIN MAPLE: I know. All right, Say. What do we do now?
SALISH MATTER: Oh, um, one sec. I have an idea. Mom, do you remember how I was talking about that animal that I was looking for?
LAUREN BOYER: Yeah, I'm on my way home. SALISH MATTER: OK, well, we're all good. I found it.
LAUREN BOYER: Oh, what is it? SALISH MATTER: Let me show you. LAUREN BOYER: Oh, my God.
It's a little mouse. SALISH MATTER: Can we keep it? LAUREN BOYER: Keep him?
SALISH MATTER: Yeah. LAUREN BOYER: I didn't know you wanted a mouse. If he lives in your room-- SALISH MATTER: Oh, cool.
OK. Thank you. Love you.
See you soon. Bye. Collin, will you take a mouse COLLIN MAPLE: Um-- SALISH MATTER: Here's your new pet.
What are you going to name it? COLLIN MAPLE: I don't know. Hi, bud.
You're my new friend. Uh! Stay-- stay in, friend.
Stay in, friend. And I have a pet mouse now. All right, everybody.
Say hi to Remy. This is his new crib. This is my friend Remy.
Hi, Remy. This his new crib. He's got his little wheel-- food over there.
He's had quite the day, so he's going to go over there and take a nap. All right. Time to go home.
Remy and I are going to go home and watch Ratatouille. He's going to be my best friend now.
