six of Zechariah that um it talks about Jesus because it says you know where did you get those wounds in your hands and he says well I got them from in the House of my friends so I was just wondering what is Zechariah um what's the context what is he talking about in Zechariah 13 um that's my question thank you this is not just a mere misappropriation of text this is applying texts in precisely the opposite that the prophets intended this is what you're about to hear if you are able to understand even a part
of it I don't think your life will be the same so we talked about the signs of the true Messiah the single most important feature of the mesiah is the universal knowledge of God see 2 verse 14 the knowledge of God will cover the world as the water covers the sea what will happen to all the false teachers the false teachers they're going to step forward and admit their lies and in fact Daniel chapter 12 verse two tells us about the resurrection it's one of the few passages in all of Tanakh that describe vividly the
resurrection of the dead and there we see not just the resurrection of the righteous but also the resurrection or temporary Resurrection for the wicked for shame and contempt people usually pay close attention to Daniel 122 there are many Li in Earth that rise for everlasting life but many people don't pay attention to the end of that extraordinary passage the wicked will be brought back so they'll be CL ity in the world it's very important when the true msia comes there won't be a proliferation of religions but there'll be one faith and everyone will know the

John Thomas sees the wounds so the wounds are there it's un unbelievable [Music] unbelievable my if you're if you're if you're wrapping your brain about what you're hearing and please please read it in context this is a precursor to the coming of Messiah that everyone knows and all the lies and Liars are all going to be exposed okay so this is a crazy thing so you have to this day you have missionaries that take Zachariah 13:6 out of context and say it's we have a reference to a crucified savior when in context you see it's

there are some who are conservative Christians who actually in their commentaries are aware of this misso appropriation and say make it clear in the commentary Christians not liberal Christians conservative who say that no Christian should ever use Zachariah 13:6 to be speaking about Jesus Christ because if you do that it's blasphemy you're saying that Jesus is a false prophet I'm not kidding I'm not kidding I think the Liberty Bible commentary I I know for sure the Liberty is a it's very thick it has like parallel columns I think that's the name of it the the
it's I think it was produced by Liber uh Liberty University Jerry forwell's place so it gets crazier than this I mean could you imagine something that's more here you have a prophecy of a false prophet because it looks like Jesus Bingo let's just rip it out of context it's it's really unbelievable in the secular world if you if you would do that if you would take a a passage from a business contract out of context like that they would throw you in jail for fraud and disbar you right and then people say oh the Jews
are no good and the Jews are liars and we're the Antichrist could you imagine could you imagine that my holy Kindel you know we have to put up with it's really mind-blowing next verse the next verse is actually used by The Book of Matthew and I believe this is the other part of the passage that you're referring to and that's where it says this is all Messianic and here H says that all those Shepherds now this is not a good shepherd even though Good Shepherd comes up in the in the GOP Els these are all
the rulers over CLA Israel they're going to be done away with their sovereignty the schita over the Jewish people is going to end and the flock is going to spread apart awake rise up when the shepherd is smitten so then the flock will finally be able to be scattered and God hands will be against all these now the shepherd you should know these are full Shepherds because this is a a theme a running theme in the same book in fact in the chapters that introduce Zechariah 13 in both in chapter 10 and in chapter 11
you have the false Shepherds and the famous the shepherd you're most familiar with the false Shepherd versus the true Shepherd you're most familiar with is Ezekiel chter 34 Ezekiel 34 that there's a prophecy against the Shepherds of Israel these are the false teachers the false leaders the the oppressors of the Jewish people and God is going to set up the true Shepherd who represents God God is the true Shepherd now John is going going to use that but we're going to set that aside but what's very striking is how this is used in The Book
of Matthew in Matthew 26 it uses this to say that Jesus is the shepherd and he is going to be crucified and that's going to cause all you the disciples to be um disperse and without a guide and without a so it's completely misappropriated in Matthew chapter 26 that comes right after the Eucharist so it's just and if we go to Zechariah Chapter 8 and N there we see that the enemies of the Jews so the non-jews are divided non-jewish world I should say is divided into three parts now this is almost always mistranslated it'll
be in the whole land is all the Messianic [Music] age that two now what it says that means the mouth of two c who will be cut off they will perish and a third part will remain what is that so I didn't count it up but I think in most Bibles it says 2/3 as in you know you know 2/3 as like a fraction it doesn't mean that at all those who are religious Jews who are familiar with omy chapter 17 for example on the mouth of two witnesses could something be established but not on
