we text each other a lot so we've stayed in each other's lives a lot I think it's been a while since the four of us were together absolutely oh 100% yeah but it's always great seeing these guys Lamor thought it was just I thought it was just me I got the email and I said this makes sense and then I read more of the email and I was like oh I see what this is and then he thought maybe that's not real and then he showed up today goes H you guys are here like I
hoping y'all be [Laughter] sick it's been some time it's been a while he doesn't like to hike anymore so we don't really see each other I was I've been seeing you a lot and then I saw you and R Jak and I travel together we do what do you mean by that they we go on trips and stuff we go on trips you guys trips they went on a trip we went to R Allen for fun oh that's nice yeah it was nice Jake won't even come to my house not true I went to your
little party I didn't invite you the one time I didn't invite you you show up so it's just there's a lot of interaction that way but it is nice we always all kind of keep in touch and always try to crack each other up which as fun what are we looking at here that's baby smooth this is LLS ladies love Schmidt what what did you just say go put a dollar in the jar right now are you serious yeah now damn it I knew him from before and I had just met him and I I
knew Zoe I went to high school with Zoe and Middle School I've known her for a while when he came into audition he improvised I think he threw the script in the air if I remember correctly that was that was wild was wild it really I just assumed I wasn't going to get the part so I was just like let me just say whatever the heck I want you had a bunch of auditions and it for the most part we they wanted to see us kind of go loose with it so I improvised a lot
in auditions it was a fairly loose show though you know cuz they would have the script and then we'd get the one that was on the page and then let us have fun my character is not like me at all he's uh kind of loud or a little grumpy I'm not grumpy unless I don't get my fluids what what are you doing my water drink water water and salt water and salt man that's way Grow Up Guys Celtic salt water helps hydrate you well I didn't have a character for the first two seasons I'm not
going to lie to you season 3 I think you know I was I was a replacement when he left so I kind of was playing catchup and the writers are playing catchup a little bit so season 3 is when I got silly and weird I want to say that was the puzzle man year puzzle puzzle man all Catman all kinds of just stupid things but I got to say as an Emmy winner you know I look back on those days you know what I mean as let him go let him go I look back on
those days as um a breeding ground for creativity breeding ground yeah please don't interrupt I would spawn creativity all over these guys creativity yeah I took what I learned and then I applied it towards my later work and well my fans agree what you say what did you say on your I got to say man this answer is sexy we were on set our whole life you know 17 18 hours a day and so exaggerating but we were on set for a very long time and so to see each other outside that I think would
have been very odd especially most of us have families um and if I were to tell my wife like hey I'm going to go hang out with Jake like you just saw him for hundreds of hours this week but we all did really connect and we knew it and I do think we'll stay kind of bonded together for hopefully ever together we are all very much like our characters when we're around each other yeah it just happens like what Max was saying we're around each other for that many hours a day so it's almost like
when you get around each other you instantly get back into silliness the bit of the show the way we kind of did the show we all step into that fast yeah well it's because we had to do it so many hours of shooting we had to like find a way to stay entertained and so we just kind of would just do bits with each other the whole time and then they would use that in the show which was fun fun being together you can tell the crew's loving it oh yeah dying laughing you could see
the camera shaking yeah laughing so hard look how hard he's laughing right now how do I look terrible not for me like crap I don't like any of it you guys are like rubbing alcohol you sting me in the now but you save me in the later I love the show and I understand why people love the show and it's a perfect especially the way that TV is consumed now um it's the perfect binge show and you know where you had like old shows that we grew up with you know more traditional sitcoms they would
be on and then they would sort of disappear and they would go in syndication but you had to find them but because of Netflix on all these streamers you know they're so easily accessible now every year there's new college kids and those college kids are spending some weird weekend where they're like I watched all 130 episodes in that weekend and they won be learning at school no and so you know I think that continuously is happening every year with new with a new new base of fans and especially during the pandemic when I think people
were locked in and they latched on to the show it's just one of those shows that seems to have taken on a life of its own and I don't think it's going anywhere I think that we had fun I it would be cool to reprise the characters you know reprise is that is that the right word on show I had to yeah it would be nice to uh reprise said character Ernie yeah is his name Ernie what CO's name is Ernie apparently somebody yelled it out well you want the facts Lamar won't do it after
his Emmy he's got an Emmy Clause no that's real talk he's going to spin it right now but that's real no I look at it like reparations what I'm do you know what I'm saying hard work you know saying now it's time to pay the piper couple more commas few more zeros you you know what I'm saying and then we in business we back in business baby I agree you deserve it no that to be to be quite honest with you from from day one I've been the one saying that I want it to happen
you know they don't even respond in the text thre when I put it in there hey what do you guys say here's the reality this dude's an idiot and spent his entire campaign draging me and then we were laughing none of us have any power about a reunion but this dude's on the red carpet getting an Emmy talking about I do a reunion people really want to see a reunion Jake so just come on stop pre I mean honestly there's a pre- and post lamorn which we all talk about we have a separate group text
chain yeah I don't do phones no more you know what I mean what do you do huh what do you do energy life and love don't touch me but I think we all would if the right thing came it's really fun to be together we are not going anywhere we're going to say goodbye all day all day all day what you don't say you don't say like that none of it is up to us it's so much about Liz Maryweather who created the show and what she would do differently and if she would want to
do a reunion it's her decision and how she would want to move forward I think Liz is very funny and I think if she did bring it back it would be great yeah she'd have a smart take on it yeah Jerry Seinfeld said this thing once where he's like he was on a show for a long time and someone was asking him you know would he do another show again and he was like no I just want to do standup he's like I did the ride I I did the ride it was a very successful
show new girl was a very successful show so I'm not really chasing anything to f fill that you know what I mean like nobody people don't get the opportunity to do what we did for for seven years
