Welcome to the Level One of the Weweb Academy I'm Joyce And this video we'll explain what Weweb is What you can and can't build with it And what you'll be able to do by the end of this course Weweb is a no code front end builder, meaning you can build the user interface for your web products, but you'll need an external back end and authentication system to build a full MVP or a full web app that scales This is by design because it's the most modern technology and best practice in modern web development to
have the front end and the back end decoupled So Weweb handles the design, the user interface, and the front end logic, and your back end will have the database and the auth system, and you can integrate that with your Weweb UI, no problem That's the whole point of our tool So in this course, we'll learn how to: Take a design in Figma and integrate it to Weweb Connect multiple data sources to a single Weweb project Add frontend logic to display and filter data and allow users to update your database through the UI you built in
Weweb Finally, we'll show you how to add a simple authentication system so users need to sign up and log in to view certain types of content That's it That's everything we'll cover in the level one of the Weweb Academy In other courses, you can learn more about improving the performance of your web app or handling more complex designs and workflows But for now, the focus is on building an MVP that can scale in the future
