why is Greenland called Greenland when it's fully covered with ice so when this Viking fella discovered these massive Islands he named the icier one Greenland while he called this one Iceland even though it is relatively Greener you see Eric the Red wanted to attract more European settlers to his new discovery so he began calling it Greenland to fool Europeans into thinking it's a green Paradise while also making everyone think the small one was just an icy Wasteland
