Um I'm done introducing myself basically so I'm going to get right into the meat and potatoes of this and um I'm going to tell you this that I have uh I've been studying Facebook marketing now going on probably about five or so years uh more more social media I've done tons a lots of social media with YouTube Twitter Facebook LinkedIn things like that and Facebook has really become one of my primary uh business business models that I use to not only um do my own marketing but I also been hired out now uh by corporations
to do to do their marketing and stuff like that what I plan on doing today is I know Facebook marketing everybody hears Facebook and some people think that it's a waste of time and some people say oh you know uh you know you can't do anything on Facebook and somebody will make a post and wonder why nobody gets any engagement or likes on it and they think that that's not the Way to it's not it's not going to work right you how many people know people like that yep or had that happen Okay so studying
these strategies um I have found some pretty concrete uh evidence uh of these things working and this is not Theory these are things that I do in my own business in my own practices and these are the things again like I said that I do for corporations uh to help increase their brand their leads and and strategies now I named this this class free and paid strategies to grow your business what do you get usually when you get free nothing okay so we're done with free strategies okay we're done officially with free strategies I'm going
to show you stuff that makes that will make you money and as I go through this um what we'll do is hold all your questions if you don't mind uh till the end okay otherwise I can get Rabbit Trail pretty Good ADHD will kick in at a high level and you only we'll be talking about kickboxing and cage fighting by the time we're done okay so we'll keep on track um I put a PowerPoint together because they typically don't trust internet wherever I speak and so this is going to be very simple um if you
want to uh take your phones out or whatever and do screenshots a lot of times that's what I do at events if a slide comes up that you want to reference or remember I'd Recommend just popping it up there so go ahead and this the only time I'll ever tell you to pull out your phones and and use them use them turn the ringers off but uh go ahead and use those okay so are you guys ready to learn some stuff all right okay now um did you just did you just raise your hand to
ask a question already I just said no I'm kidding I'm messing cop after uh yeah I'll make that available yeah I'll probably get that okay so first slide I Have here is it says uh this was something from and I learned from some of the best marketers out there like I'm on a whole bunch of email list I sign up for all kinds of cool things I try to watch how people Market to me I'm officially scarred to watch any advertising any TV shows or anything like that now I cannot I always go how did
they get me here what did I do you know how did somebody get me to spend $5 and now I just dropped five grand how Did that happen right and I like to know these processes cuz if you you can if you can replicate what's working out there it's an amazing thing uh some guys that do some big big events that these guys do hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars worth of uh product sales and advertising they said something at their conference recently out in California says if you're not using data to drive your
decisions and pay traffic to help grow your business You're in trouble would we all agree that a business has changed over the last couple years right uh 5 10 years ago internet really didn't exist no one ever heard of any of these things social media didn't exist even those phrases didn't even exist okay so you have to remember this and what I really do like about uh using Facebook and marketing and things like that online is it's so much more efficient to track actual real results if I am I doing this and is it Working
how many of you guys would love the answer to that okay I'm going to show you as we go through here how to do this so let's just jump in now per personally um I am going to and I'll try to remember that there's people in here how many of you guys this is Facebook is fairly new to you raise your hands okay fairly new like you you you know how many of you have a fan page of some sort okay so most of you have a fan page some of you it's new uh that's
fine so I'm Going to I'm going to talk at but all levels okay so I I'll walk you through the basics I will try to keep this as simple as possible but I'm also to give you some stuff the purpose for me of Facebook for a business is to do what make sales okay that's how I approach it I approach it is this is this is going to be how I'm going to get my message across to people and you shouldn't be afraid of that okay now the question I have and this will this will
help you And I have to get you in a different mindset before we go through this because you have to believe me when I'm saying this if you could spend a dollar and make $2 do how many dollars would you give me all money say it louder all the money I have all the money I have right I'm going to show you how to do that if you could legally figure out how to print money would that be cool okay so I'm going to kind of show you how that that typically works okay let's Give
a perfect example of some people who have tracked their numbers know exactly what their ad cost is know exactly what it cost them to get a lead what it cost them to get a customer and what it means we're going to do this with through McDonald's okay McDonald's knows that in all their advertising everything they do across the board they're going to make a191 dollar or it cost them I'm sorry it cost them a191 to get somebody to go through the Drive-thru at McDonald's okay the typical person on average worst case scenario spends $29 on
a hamburger if that was the only thing they purchased that is an 18 Cent profit how many of you guys have think McDonald's is is a successful business how in the world are they growing every single quarter for the last like 200 quarters um with an 18c profit margin how is that humanly possible ask yourself that how is that right what Happens after you order your first uh item what do they they say to you upsell right they say would you like fries and coke with that that is called a profit maximizer okay that's your
trip wire C I'm not going to go into the funnel stuff but and that's a $132 in profit they just made eight times the profit is that a legal way to print money basically yes okay so I need you to understand that concept because before you run ads before you do any Paid marketing you're going to be able to do this on a very small scale and then you will test verify and scale so if you want to write that down and that's actually the last slide of the presentation is everything I do when it
comes to marketing is I test it I verify it and then I scale it okay and what's awesome about Facebook is that you can test at an extremely low level I'm talking $5 if you could spend $5 and make $5 And5 cents how many $5 bills would you give me if you could turn that into $10 how many would you okay you see what I'm saying so just just so we understand this now I'm going to go through these kind of quickly if you don't I'm just before the newbies um if you go in you
can actually learn a lot of what I'm going to teach you in Facebook's advertising uh websites and it's very easy to follow along most of the time they have video Tutorials uh they have plenty of nice easy Graphics to understand but marketing starts with a page there's a difference between a uh a a personal profile where you would you know you look at you share the cat videos and stuff like that right and uh tag your friends and you know the things like that and then there's a business page a business page they used to
be called fan pages now they're called just Pages by themselves and understand Facebook's Always always changing they're going to always track stuff so you just want to kind of be aware of things okay so first thing you would do to start a page is while you're on your business profile you'll notice in the top right corner you see this little drop down arrow uh right up here that's where you would click on that and it will will ask you know ask you to create a page so you go there and you create a page and
you can decide whether you're creating a you Know a local business uh an organization your a band or a product and you don't you know if you click on one what you can do is you could look to see what they're what they're asking for as you click okay there's nothing permanent and if you create a page uh once you create the page you can always delete the page okay you could create a page or test one um and create one and so on like as an example I'm going to show you I went in
and just made a a an awesome demo page For you my awesome product page okay so what I did is I just quickly did this you can have a page up and running in as little as probably uh two and a half minutes okay click click click add some photos boom boom boom and this is this is what it looks like this would be your you know your header and that's kind of your your page there okay I'm going also give you some tools to help you make your page look awesome everybody want their page
to look awesome okay so you Create feat page so we'll get there this is probably one of my favorite secret weapons and it's totally free it's called canva you can make any images any graphics anything on there most of the time they have lots of great stuff and a third grader could use it okay it's called canvas cva.com most people are now using it and what's awesome about canva is if you'll notice when you go here you just set up an account you could and if you want you can connect it To your Facebook your
personal Facebook page and it will actually import all your Facebook photos on here are kind of you know uh they'll be cloud-based that they can connect so if you ever wanted to use advertising with your you know your your pictures that you have on your page and stuff like that you can use those you can upload photos you can change things and so on but you'll notice over here um you can pick the kind of design you want you don't have To worry about sizing resizing any of that stuff you literally pick what you're trying
to do so if I wanted to make a social media post take a while guess which one I'm going to click on social media and Facebook cover you know that real nice thing right here at the very top that is a Facebook cover so what I would do is I would click on that and then it'll give you different fonts it'll give you different things and if like you took a really cool photo you Can pick the you can pick like Graphics that are already done that are already made and all you do is like
if you you know they'll have an you know a static kind of demo photo there you can just upload the one you like and just drag it and boom it'll automatically change it for you and then you can and then you UPS you know you just click download and it's done you can literally make photos all the time like I use all these this is what I use uh probably 95% of the Time to make all my graphics for ads and things like that and it's completely free so you just kind of think of what
you're trying to do and it's it's a great service that that's right there is worth the whole thing here's a perfect example of of of one of the um posts on my awesome product page that I made in canva in less than a minute and a half I just pulled it off put it on here it was there you can do filters you know anything like you would do on Instagram And Pinterest and stuff like that you can put your text in there delete it add something do you know stagger anything you want okay so
this is pretty cool how this works now I do want to stay stay on this page for just a moment everything I post from an ad cont a Content strategy on on Facebook is engaging content so write that down it should be engaging content That drives people and if you want to take a picture of this slide for a purpose everything I do when I post on a company's like if I if I'm working for a company and I'm I know that I need to get uh traffic to this page right here and just to
be completely honest transparent here you never have a traffic issue there is more traffic and there's more ways to get traffic and people to see your stuff than you could possibly imagine you may Have an offer issue what you're selling over here might suck not don't to be blunt about it but it it could be that okay if traffic is not going here you have to identify where you might be missing it so what I'm going to do what I do is I take my little everything I look at as marketing is a bunch of
little puzzle pieces so there's maybe about five or six core puzzle pieces I'm going to show you how to take those puzzle pieces and put them in the right Sequence does that make sense Okay so that's kind of the the goal for here so my offers here as an example would be to drive traffic to that what they call landing page now a landing page if you want to just think about it write it down or take notes a landing page could be anything it could be your blog page it could be your sales page
it could be um you know a direct uh opt-in page you know you could be offering a book you could be offering uh a physical product You could be offering a service it does not matter none of that stuff matters okay you just have to understand the sequence of the of the funnel there okay and I'll slow down and I I'll get you some of this stuff and if we need to draw it out and so on uh Facebook ads also you guys understand how big Facebook is right okay 1.3 billion people here's one of
the most important things to remember and understand about what Facebook did for you as a business Owner as a business owner they just allowed for free 1.3 billion people across the globe to let you know exactly who they are are where they live what their habits are what their likes are who they who they meet up with who they do this this this there is nothing people have not left out okay everything you want to know about people and their their actions their demographics demographics would be what where they live that stuff and more importantly
Psychographics not to be weird on that one but psychographics is just another term for what what kind of way or what are people thinking how are they interacting with something okay that's you can literally track that stuff I know it's spooky end of the world you know Number of the Beast stuff but we're going to make money on it while it's before it flips that way so I'm just saying right okay where they're act um and they'll tell you where they're Active engaged now how people see ads now here's the thing Facebook will either reward
you or punish you for proper activity reward you or punish you how do you would you rather have reward okay Facebook wants their user EXP experience to be awesome they want their user experience to be positive they want it to be fun and they more importantly want it to see wanted it to be engaging if you're putting uh pictures of cats that were run over by cars not going to Happen right your ad will disappear and they will probably ban and shut your Facebook account off okay so I'm saying these are simple examples of if
somebody was scrolling through what they saw what they liked and and and it kind of flows in there okay and then the all the thing I before I move to the next part of this and I think it's in the further slide um is also when you're making posts and making ads and I'm going to show you that in a second everything should have A good flow with the entire Facebook experience okay I you never want to be a an interruptive marketer per se in a in a weird in a rude way okay so if
somebody's scrolling down Faceook Facebook will recognize it better and give you more of a boost what we call it if you're following their guidelines okay and people and remember this and if you want to write it down people don't uh people don't want to be sold but they love to buy people don't want to be sold But they love to buy and if you do marketing and selling uh correctly and strategically selling becomes and I read this word and I can barely pronounce it superflous did I say that right which means uh they don't even
know what happened okay perfect example and I'll give you real world examples Red Bull does not advertise hardly their product anymore on commercials everything they do is an experience in an event how many of you Guys seen him run run a car off of a building and ramp it through 90 fiery pits of hell and you know whatever they do right and all across everything that they're wearing and whatever it says Red Bull on it okay do you remember the guy that jumped out of the the Space Capsule thing that went up to like space
and got in there if you look at that image next when you get home pull that image up of him jumping out of there and right there is an it's a it is nothing but a giant Red Bull Advertiser advertisement Red Bull's on the the ship Red Bull's on his helmet Red Bull's on his arm it's on his leg it's down his back everything okay and hundreds and hundreds of millions of people viewed that because it was an experience that flowed with something that that target market was interested in they know their target market and
we'll get to that in a second does that make sense so when you're posting stuff it must Flow okay so let's say we have a we have a fan page create we have a fan page created and we want to start doing some things and like I mentioned you can do some um you can do regular postings just you know you don't have to just remember people don't want to be sold but they like to buy okay what you will do is this is the page that you will click on when it finally says advertise
on Facebook or create an ad okay this will be the page and understand that the Majority of the stuff that Facebook puts together for you to do is fairly self-explanatory and easy and if you ever get stumped there's a video for it or there's a page that will explain it in a detail okay I'm going to give you three of my favorites right now that I'm getting very good results with okay the number one top one is send people to your website okay so everybody would think well that's exactly what I want right well yes
you do want that but There's other ways to send people to your website that they don't know you just really sucked them in okay that's what we want we want them to we want them to go through a user experience and not realize they're being sold to but they want to buy boost your posts that's probably my favorite okay and I'll explain that in a second and then the bottom one here is get video views understand that YouTube currently is the largest video platform obviously on the Planet Facebook wants to be next video views are
absolutely outstanding for getting your brand company and uh in business recognized okay and they they are feeding it and if you'll notice next time you look at it and again if you go on your computer and start scrolling down your news feed you will know that there are a handful of videos on on that will maybe come up there'll be a lot of posts images and so on if you pull up your cell phone in Most cases there's videos videos videos videos okay everything you also do when marketing and so on if you have a
website number one thing you got to ask if you're either buying a website or you're you know getting one from whatever it might be that website number one thing you got to find out is is it mobile write this down mobile responsive meaning does it look good and I pull it up on my phone how many of you guys check your emails or websites on your Phone ra hand okay 99% of the people in the room right so if that's the case you got to do that and Facebook if you're running ads on mobile phones
will'll make sure that you're you know if it's not resp responsive mobile responsive website they may uh shut that down Okay so let's keep moving here all right so let me walk you through an example and I'm going to start with the Boost post what I do with the Boost post is basically uh and can you see that if I Stand right here probably okay is there was my list of things and a boost post now what I did is and I'm going to give you give you an example is I let's say I have
a a market marketing program that I sell on my website it's on the right hand side of my website okay so follow me with this the story and put put it picture in your head on the right hand side of my uh my website is a little icon that says you know get your free marketing videos okay that's my that's My offer that's my lost leader to you know lead generation offer okay now what I did on my uh fan page my I have a Mike Hy fan page and then I've got a personal profile
because I do you know business coaching uh personal public speaking blah blah blah what I then did is when I make a post I click boost my post and then what it'll do is it'll pull up all the pages that I I I represent it'll be right here there'll be a little drop down then when I say okay I want to Advertise on Mike Healey I find my post so I click on it and I go down and it doesn't matter how long you've had it on there you can scroll through and you'll find it
so on there I had this one right here it says how to introduce a guest speaker okay so that's that's that's the target market of the person I'm going after now what I do then is I click on it and and and this is all this is actually on one page so you would be scrolling down but I can't shrink it That much otherwise you wouldn't see it is the next thing so all that stuff I just showed you was up at the top and I scroll down and then what it'll do is it'll ask
me do I want to just Market it to the people in the United States just the India other countries all together do I want my target to be you know it'll it'll default automatically like to 18 to 65 okay I'm thinking that most people that want a public speaker probably going to be older 25 years old they may Even be just such and such right in all English demographic I don't speak any Spanish so it wouldn't do them any good and I I went to interest now you see this right here interests you don't have
to necessarily know your interest and I'm going to show you some tricks to bring this all together don't worry I got I'll bring your puzzle together for you okay just follow me a little bit on the tools and then we'll bring the puzzle together is What I would do then is click on public speaking because that's the PE that is the people that I'm targeting now right there based on if I just did this my potential reach in Facebook this will go up down sideways whatever based on what I put in here will tell me
how many potential people I have to reach so 1.7 million people is my potential in that Target Market of people that have let Facebook know that they are interested in public speaking okay now I would Scroll down a little bit on the page and it would ask me how much do I want to spend you can do a daily budget or you can do what they call Lifetime budget okay and you usually you can start at as little as $5 so if I started at five $20 $20 to me is a fair dollar amount to
give to Facebook and understand whenever I run run an ad my first couple ads it is never based on Roi return on investment it is always about getting the numbers that's the only thing I want To know is is are am I targeting the right Market am I am I am I going after the right demographic are the interests proper with what I'm trying to offer is there even anybody interested okay because a lot of people think oh I got you know I want to spend money on Advertising everybody has brainwashed from all the years
of traditional advertising by um you know things like yellow pages and so somebody delivered a Yellow Pages to my house a couple days Ago I was like what is that monstrosity in my driveway how many of you have opened a yellow pages in the last year not a single you have no don't even tell me I don't even want know right Google would never do that for you right Google would never do that for you right I'm kidding I'm messing with you just be nice just understand my personality I'm sorry okay so here's the thing
so here's the thing a lifetime Budget but here's the thing I may not want to run it just all in one day I can click on the start times so I'm going to start it today at this time and then I'm going to end it so I'm going to end it maybe in about four or five days so over of a fay period it's going to tell me based on these numbers here of the 1.7 million people out there that I'm going to be able to Target between 590 and 1,600 people a day in in
sales when I've done marketing before the number one Thing that I always OD was if I swing the bat as many times as I have to occasionally I get a hit every once in a while I hit one out of the park right that's from my 20 some years of networking experience occasionally I get a hit what is that what that hold that up I didn't see it oh I got plenty time got it okay you see what I'm saying so you follow that and then what I do is I this automatically populated there I'm
scrolling down again when I'm making my Ad this says how to properly introduce a guest speaker I wasn't even cutting to the chase on that one there was no fluff in that one how to properly introduce a guest speaker if you were telling Facebook and you had identified by your activities on Facebook that you are a public speaker would you more than likely be at least engaged or intrigued on how to do that yes if you had an event this video on YouTube I had uh what I did too is I made I made probably
10 short business videos that covered everything lead generation public speaking how to introduce a guest speaker blah blah blah and I put him on YouTube and then what I do is I just kind of I I keyword him properly you know public speaking blah blah blah and that video on YouTube has had almost 30,000 organic views that means I didn't pay for one of them organic views who would have known people had a problem introducing somebody and all I do is Explain in three minutes how to edify your person so that when they get up
they can just get the get the get the job done they don't have to take 10 minutes to go believe me I really do know what I'm talking about one of those deals okay so anyhow back to back to my point right so if you if you need help with that if you ever have to introduce somebody go watch that video on YouTube okay so now what I did is that I did that okay so and then right below This at the bottom underneath of that once I see that this is my ad I've got
everything kind of running and so on at the bottom right corner I will scroll down a little bit more it would say Place ad and you'll click Place ad and what the ad will do is it will say uh congratulations you've placed your ad uh YouTube now or I'm sorry Facebook now has to review it make sure it's compliant okay here's something to remember I don't think I put it in PowerPoint on images you cannot have an image that has more than 20% text on the image or it will automatically get rejected okay so if
you have a nice image on there and you want to make sure that you don't have you know join my team my business is awesome you should get this here's five discounts what you need and pop all your data in here that's not where you sell people people Facebook is only your traffic Source it is not your selling Spot write it down remember it put it in your head Facebook is not where you sell people Facebook is where you get people to engage with you big big big difference so when you do that you put
that on there you click it and then what'll happen is typically depending on the ad or how new you might be to advertising with Facebook you can get an ad approved in less than an hour it'll be up and running okay it'll go from pending to active and you know or to Active and active will do to will go now that would be this one right here would be a a video views ad that I did but I did that a lot of them what I'll do is I will make a video post Now understand
this if you have a video that you make and you upload to Facebook and when you upload it the final thing that comes up is a bunch of words because it was in the video that can actually get you rejected from the video so what you do is you Just go into Facebook where your video was hosted click edit video and just it'll give you like 12 uh thumbnails to pick from and you go okay that one has no text or or it has less text and just put that one on it doesn't mean anything
doesn't matter really matter but you just have to be careful of the whole text thing and if you're not positive if you have 20% text Facebook has a a little simple tool you click it and it will pull it up it'll say upload photo And it'll have a grid and then all you do is you click the spots in the grid that have text and then bang it'll pop up and it'll tell you if you're complying or not complying and then go back to canva and redo it make sense okay the other thing I like
to do when I make a like if I made a regular and this is a this would be a little different than a boost post this might be I'm just going to run a straight ad on Facebook but I'm not going to put it through on My wall okay so what I would do is I might upload and this is something this really cool is I would use the same words as an example so you know 10 ways to 10 ways to generate leads online just as an example and then what I would do is
I would create six different images and if I didn't create them you can go right into Facebook okay when you're making your ad if you don't have them they have shutter shutter I think it's Shutterfly Shutterstock is their partner Right they own Shutterstock so you can get all the photos for free okay so what I'll do is I'll go in and I as an example let's say I was running one for insurance and I went in there and I saw it and great way to be an insurance salesman okay I would think of that and
I might put insurance salesman as the topic of the type of picture I'm looking for and will pull them all up and give me examples does that make sense and then what I would do is I would just all The all the text on each one of these is is the same and you're not spending more money to have these these ads running the only thing you're trying to do is what was the first thing I told you of the three things we had to do remember the the t t so what was the first
one I want to test to make sure that maybe that image is the way to go so I put four images in here and then what I'll do is after a day is gone by a whole day usually can you know get some stuff Going on once I have the day going I'll go back here and I'll look and I'll go oh this these right here this one was getting hardly any clicks on it if the only only thing was different was the image guess what when that scrolled through no one that image was not
triggering any kind of Engagement make sense so I go here and I click that button and it turns that one off by itself and then I wait a couple more hours or maybe another day and I noticed That this one's really not performing well I turned that one off and then I go to this one this one wasn't performing well I turned that off and I'm watching my cost per click and then all of a sudden this one started rocking I just went click click click I turn them all off everything's driving to the one
of the best of the six most performing ads for the exact same ad in dollar cost does that make sense so they let you become more efficient on there so that's An example all right and we'll keep going you guys learning okay here's something that people Miss which is probably the most critical before you sell anything to begin with and this is the most overlooked is what the heck is your target market who are you actually trying to sell to well I I hear so many people drives me nuts well I think everybody needs my
product no they don't they don't okay if you could only sell To three types of people you better figure out who those three people are or don't even bother being on Facebook save your money I'm getting bll I get passionate about this stuff right but what's awesome is Facebook will let you te they will tell you who those people are so if I decided that I was going to find and they call it an avatar in nerd nerd talk is that if I decided I was looking for males that were married involved in sales between
the Agee of 30 And 50 that lived in O Columbus Ohio and were in a love Success magazine I can go right here okay so this is this is who I'm looking for is this type of person that's I identified in one business that's my target person make sense what you do is you wrote you write that on a piece of paper that's all that's a pen and paper kind of thing okay I know coffee drinkers living You Know da d da in this age group seems to be this blah blah blah right whatever it
Might be in the back office under ads manager so after you logged in let's say you want to create an ad on the left hand side top left corner you're going to see ad manager and you can do multiple accounts you're going to see these different things here I'm going to point out this one right here the first one we're going to talk about is this one called audience insights insights are going to tell you something soon as you click on that Button it's going to ask it's going to pull this page up right here
with this thing right here and you're going to be able to click on here everyone connected on Facebook I want to go through Facebook's entire database and I'm going to go in and I'm going to look for these specific parameters of my target person that I want to talk to make sense I I'll keep moving it leave it up there or whatever after I've done that what I do is I go here so after I click it then on The left-and side it will allow me to start narrowing things that I want down so as
an example we're going to go right here let's say I'm selling a uh boxing gloves okay MMA mixed martial arts gloves I know I was talking about that earlier but whatever okay and I thought okay those might be people that are kickboxing well I don't know maybe I'm not sure who my target market might be right well there's a lot of people like kickboxing Mark likes kickboxing I Like kickboxing but that guy's 15 years old and that guy's 60 right or not you're 60 you see what I'm saying where how do I narrow it down
how do I really narrow down my ad cost if you put in kickboxing under under interests Facebook will tell you that there are six six to S million monthly active people that are interested in kickboxing guess what look at the difference between men versus women if I ran an ad in one of my dollar spend to Be the perfect dollar amount spent on the right person should I send it to women no oh what if I get that one quit give me a break let's be realistic and looking at who I should Target should I
be targeting people 35 and older probably no my demographic of people that like kickboxing are between the 18 and 34 that are men that is the only thing I'm running an ad to that are interested in kickboxing let's break this down even more and get real Cool once I still have my interest here that was the page right here was demographics okay I click that was it'll automatically come up I want to now click on and I left that there I want to now click on on page likes why would I click on page likes
this is going to give me more data to be more specifically targeted and I'm going to drill down deeper as to really who my target market is so when I click on page likes these are categories of people a Lot of them like UFC knockout art and so on but right below that if you were to scroll down a little bit I'm going to show it to you under that part I just showed you down here at the bottom it's going to show the most popular Pages associated with that term that interest I just drilled
down one extra level does that make sense is that you see how I'm getting there now what I look for because now I want to find my specific person I'm targeting in my ads I want to Target my specific person and I want to try to get it to the lowest common denominator I if I was to take this room of about I think there's about 50 people in this room and I know there's only four people that I have to identify that would buy my stuff immediately if I got it in front of them
I got to weed the rest of you guys out as fast as I can so I click on one interest and half of you are gone uh half of you are gone because you were women boom I just narrowed it Down and then I I click on another interest and now I narrowed it down to maybe 20% of you how easy is it to run an ad to the right five people that want to have your stuff right okay now what happens is is I click on here and I look for what they call an
affinity rating Affinity rating just basically means what they have in common based on a page or activity with the original interest the original interest was what kickbox okay I'm just going to ask you question So you follow me now what I do then is I noticed going back that UFC on FOX you see this right here that's pretty specific correct if you scroll over here you look at the audience is 317,000 people on Facebook okay I was like man that might be a really good targeted Market to go sell stuff to it looks like that's
it and you can click on these links too and I'll show you their pages to verify what you're looking at so what I did is I went up to my where I started Over on that same page up here and instead of having kickboxing here I deleted kickboxing and just put UFC on Fox in there does that make sense and now it narrowed it down and now look at all of these other pages that I didn't even know existed that have huge what they call Affinity ratings any kind and Affinity means stuff in common so
what I would do then if I was doing kickb if I wanted to sell mixed martial arts boxing gloves I Would go back when I'm making my ad and in where it said interest you remember we were talking about interest okay I would put in UFC on FOX that would be my number one interest the next thing I would put in would be MMA fighting because these people have a really strong uh likeness of that that might not be affiliated with these guys does that make sense so I just found a brand new audience that's
hyper targeted hyper targeted these people just told me and I Already clicked it's not going to be girls it's going to be men and they're all going to be in the same age category all I look at is anything in the teens anything below the teens I do not add now when I'm making an added I don't have a slide for this and it's and I like I told you I don't like to do the live internet stuff is if I was to go through and put these in you know that remember that little dial
that showed your uh people that you could contact Went up or down if I add an interest so I put UFC on Fox on there and uh it came up that I could advertise to 4 472,000 people when I put my next audience in if it doesn't go up I just delete it I just delete that that I added if I put another one in like Bellator MMA right and it drum jumps up another 10 or 20,000 um I'll leave that because that gave me new people the only reason the thing wouldn't go up is
Facebook just told you those people are almost Identical to that one it's not even worth doing but they would still feed your ad which would cost you money does that make sense okay now one other thing and I know I got to kind of speed this up we're good on time okay is I still figured out who my art of Avatar was and that was audience Insight so that's kind of one of my my my tricks there but down here is another thing called audiences now audiences uh can be insanely awesome and I'm going to
show You how these work if you were to click on audiences this page would come up and it would come up blank like this and then in the top right corner it would say create an audience so if I clicked on create an audience it would give me a few options it would give me an option of a customer list website traffic or an app Academy okay where's Corky are you in this session corki Corky okay her and her husband own a um uh chiropractor business okay you Probably have a database of all these people
that are in that have come to your office that you have their email addresses right if you make an Excel spreadsheet of all of these emails that you have okay just that that's all is has to be a c CSV file and you click customer list you can up upload that email list onto Facebook and it will match every single person that used that email address with their Facebook profile and build you a list a specific Targeted list of a 100 or a thousand or 50,000 people that when you run an ad guess what Corky
if you ran an ad to all those people who know you like you and trust you already how easy would it be to run an ad to them what was that that thing jumped up square off right does that make sense now here's the thing do not go out and buy a list and just upload it well these guys are this and boom boom boom okay you don't do that just if You've already been building a list or something like that I've watched guys come in buy companies that were going out a business that had
massive lists buy their list take their company take their list pop it in here send a $5 offer to find out how many of them were still alive and or a free offer like a free flashlight it was a Survival company I watch this guy do it with Survival company get your free Flashlight thousands and thousands of people opted in for a $5 free flight cost them five bucks to get that that they activated soon as they got on another list they upsold them to hey by the way you're a prepper we have a prepper
thing here's a $50 package of a thing it cost them $5 to make profit profit profit profit profit make sense you raised your hand okay uh basically if you have a if you have a data list of either emails or Phone numbers can't be both at the same time one or the other if you take that list and just have somebody do it in an Excel file or whatever and they save it as a c CSV I think it's what it's called Uh somebody if you talk to somebody that has any idea of excel they'll
know how to do it and you just upload it on there it'll upload usually within uh probably less than an hour you will have an audience created in the in the inside your Facebook page that now when you Click Send and make an ad It'll ask you to send to that does that make sense website traffic one other thing right here website traffic I'm not going into this but that is a powerful powerful tool you would have if you have a website that can that you know is somebody's running it you can click on website
traffic Facebook will create you a little tiny code that you put on your Facebook page so now anytime you run an Ad to Facebook and somebody clicks on your goes to your page they basically opt it in without knowing they opted in how many of you guys have ever shopped on Amazon on and then then everywhere you went from here on out for the next 30 days on that ad followed you that was called a retargeting pixel cookie and it's they're free pixels are the next Gold Rush by the way so I put on when
my website goes any traffic that ever comes to my Website is building another list so I have my email list of contacts I had I'm building website traffic and so on and I can and now when I spend money it's re it's it's going to the good place so what I would do is I would click on customer list upload a file right right there boom upload the file and then we'll create the audience like I me I was just I jumped ahead of myself forgot I had slides here create a custom audience if I
created a lookalike audience you're ready gets crazy scary you identified your avatar you drove traffic to it you found out that that place was working uh very very well right once my audience starts to grow to where it's at least a thousand people that have been been to a website I can then ask Facebook to find me a lookalike audience take a wild guess what a lookalike audience is Avatar they are looking for people that I have yet To Target to that look exactly like the people that have responded over here and they build me
a brand new list of brand new people completely for free thank you Facebook thank you Facebook right so what I do is I drive traffic using one of those little uh articles right like a picture with something right 10 ways to lose weight in 6 hours uh by eating broccoli right okay don't do that this is a hypothetical by the way and then what had happen is I'd run that ad Targeted to who women this age group maybe had interest that I be I put together then I would take that puzzle put it together I'd
had somebody put that pixel on my website so I'm going to retarget to those people later put it on my website it sits there I don't have to think about it so now I'm watching my ads go through and all of a sudden boom boom boom traffic starts coming audience starts building now once my audience starts building um once the audience Builds now these people I can now send new ad to and they've already been to my site I've already got some trust and I they already know me like me and trust me make sense
okay so what really matters let's break it all down these are perfect examples of actual ads that I've run using look how look how cheap these ads are on the right hand side you got $20 $60 $10 25 25 let me break this one down as an example I ran a post engagement with a nice picture call to Action cost me $8 to get engagement or8 cents I'm sorry 8 cents 8 cents literally means that that's all it cost me to get somebody to basically either comment on it or more than likely click click to
go to my website okay down here this one was a video views one I did 4,731 people viewed my video it only cost me a penny a piece if you thought you had a good message and a good offering would that be a good ad spend okay 60 bucks for that one down here 3061 boom boom you see this this one here I added a video and made it a post engagement it will say this one should has a video would you rather have a post engagement or video I just said I wanted post engagement
because I want it to feed differently and I tracked this one I was getting post engagements and video views for two cents does that make sense you see that page okay now let's break it get down so what I'm doing when I'm doing my results test verify and scale Right I've looked here that it's going to I have on this post right here cost me I wanted I had 306 post engagements three cents per engagement this is how many people out of the total I was targeting so I reached about 3,600 people saw my ad
come through right I may I actually generated 359 clicks to that website okay does it make sense okay so my total performance of all the actions and this P pops right up on the same page that this comes in I'm Looking to see this this is the number I want to get I want this number I want clicks to my website clicks to my website clicks to my website I spent how much money to get that many clicks to my website 10 bucks my core offer was just an offering of a $20 CD $20 CD
the only reason they went to that page to view that information was why they were the type of person that I was targeting with that specific information and the ad looked like an article that drove Traffic to my website a $10 ad spend created 220 clicks if only and 5% purchased that's 220 time 5% equals how many per how many sales 11 11 time 20 equals what ladies and gentlemen that is a license to print money right there that's a formula for free cash okay guess what I just figured out I'm on the right target
market I've got the good offer all I need now to know now is if I take $10 and add as I Would double that to maybe 20 or I might jump to 50 on that and I would test it again verify it make sure it was accurate does it make sense license what's that you pixels oh yeah you put pixels on these Pages absolutely you can put pixels on everything you can actually put a pixel on your checkout page and Facebook will make sure that they know that that person bought your offer and they will
and you can tell them a purchase on my website somebody Making it to my thank thank you sales page if if you're selling a $100 product you can tell Facebook that you're willing to spend $50 to get somebody to that last page and they'll help you do it well we won't go into that I'm going to just fin let me finish because I want to stay on time and be respectful last last slide three-phase System test verify and scale we went through that a bunch of times so I would take and look at those things
