uh a very exciting section which is our supplier spotlight story. So we have today with us pride team from pride global who was also one of our pilot participant and successfully completed the program have had great impact um come out of jump start in their operations and without uh taking much time I would I will now pass it on to Kate and Romesh who will take you through their success story through their events and how did Jumpstart made an impact in their operation. So over to you Kate and Romesh.
>> Thank you Yoshida. Hi, I'm Kate Goss. I'm the managing director of the Pride One division of Pride Global and my colleague Romesh.
I'll let you introduce yourself. >> Hi, good morning everyone. My name is Romesh Mahaling.
I'm the director of uh compliance. I take care of the risk management, information security, cyber security for Pride Global. >> Right.
>> Thank you. So, Pride Global is is uh a diverse company um with different lines of business, but broadly defined we're we're a service provider in the um recruitment and search you space uh human capital management space. So, as a um professional services company as opposed to manufacturing, we really were starting from zero when it came to tracking our emissions.
um um and you know anything related to ESG. Um we are a JP Morgan Chase gold supplier. So we sort of originally got the nudge from JP Morgan Chase in 2022 actually as they kicked off a a supplier diversity um effort you know uh that was um because we are also a diverse a minority owned supplier and um so you know that was kind of our initial foray with with Chase kind of encouraging us to become more mature in our practices and then in 2023 we um they expanded um to be broader than just supplier diversity into ESG in general.
So um we agreed to be part of the pilot project and um through you know the efforts you know of Romesh and his team um partnering with the green project um with project jumpstart we were able to start collecting this information that we had never collected before um primarily on greenhouse gas emissions. Um again as a service company uh there was a lot of effort involved. we're all over the world so we had to collect information from um landlords of all you know that was sort of our primary source of emissions and um so to have their support um there was a lot of I would call go so far as to say push back and resistance and um you know kind of uh misunderstanding I think from the business from the building owners and such as to what we were trying to do.
So the the support of green project was really critical. Um you know Romesh you can probably jump into like how long it took to get you know the information the first time around like that like kind of getting over that first hump. >> Yeah.
So it was really challenging during the initial uh period. We had to chase all our facil building team and uh you know landlords. It took us approximately 3 to four months to gather all the information.
uh I think uh that was the first time and then second year we were able to convince them uh the reason why we are collecting the data and it it was easy for the next time when we where we were able to collect within a month. >> Yeah. Yes.
>> Sure. And you know, so I think that um but then the you know, the the results of that were, you know, the first time we were able to take the information that um the green project helped us collect and we um also, as you could see on the slide, we um were able to participate in Echoadus, you know, to become a member in Echois so that they could give us an overall scorecard of our of our ESG rating. Um, and the initial time that we were scored, we received a a committed ESG rating, um, which is a score of about I think that was in the 60s, Romesh, if I'm not mistaken, >> 50s.
>> In the 50s, right? So um but that was that was a really excellent starting point for us because we could see um through the work with green project and echoadus where what was kind of the lowhanging fruit for us to um start to target to improve those scores and to bring down the emissions and also improve on some of the other um SNG part of ESG you know some of our policies and procedures um in in um in our governance and um to be more you know reflective of uh of you know sort of our commitment to social best practices and governance. So, um, as you can see, we did improve quite a a bit, um, into 2025 and went to a bronze medal status with our Echoatus rating.
And just as the other, you know, sort of testimonials of the other JP Morgan Chase suppliers said, this has really been a benefit to us to um, speak to our commitment to ESG goals in RFIs and RFPs. Um I think virtually all of them now have questions particularly from large enterprise buyers have questions about ESG commitments. Um and you know this is able has allowed us to give answers that are quite specific, measurable, actionable, you know talk about our goals in our road map.
Um whereas previously we could just sort of talk in generalities and you know um this has really given us credibility um with customers and potential new customers. Um and we continue to commit to a roadmap to to bring down our emissions and get to to net zero at some point in the future is our is our ultimate goal. Um so it's been it's been a great partnership.
I can say with confidence that we never would have gone down this road without the um encouragement and and uh you know partnership with Chase. Um and you know so we're we're grateful for that and um I would just really you know endorse the overall experience. It's been it's been really positive for us.
