Osa for that fine prayer well what do we have to look forward to this evening well first in our Treasures from God's word have you ever felt under stress how did you react have you been afraid have you been hungry have you been anxious we look forward to seeing how we can learn from the example of the Israelites and do what Jehovah wants us to do then of course we have the Opportunity to express what research we were able to do in this week's spiritual gems and then when it comes to our ministry have you
ever felt that when you were talking to someone just too many words came out and you wish you could have just said it simpler well we have that to look forward to and our L people make disciples parts parts four and five this evening then for this evening's local needs we're going to be doing our Circuit Assembly review so Hopefully you have your notes and you're able to share some of the points that you appreciated from our recent circuit assembly and then finally with our Bible study we're going to follow Paul's travels as he enters
the city of Athens Greece and some of the things that he has upfront and how he gives a masterful witness to these individuals well to get things underway we're going to invite brother Gant to the platform he's going to handle in our Treasures from God's word they forgot God their savior brother Grant some of the best ways that parents build trust in their young children are when their child's scared maybe of the dark or they think something's in the closet and they run to them because they're scared and they embrace them or when a child
says mommy daddy I need your help it melts the parents' heart uh not not that you want them to be scared or Overwhelmed but you're happy to be able to help them to come to their aid and to comfort them now your hope is that as your child grows up up that they remember that you help them they they appreciate that help and when bigger anxieties come bigger problems they turn to you again for guidance and help like I think of when uh Zoe and zaye start to have questions about the opposite sex I'm not
ready for that yet but when they do we hope that they would come to us For help yes parents hope that their children realize that they love them that they can trust them and they can go to them for help and they got to give them some good advice we see many examples here of children who remember their loving parents and they might still ask them for help and we see they're very successful because of that but at times some children when they grow up they forget their parents they forget the loving help they gave
them They don't appreciate it and when big challenges come up they turn to outside sources they turn to classmates they turn to workmates even social media media for advice these often lead to disastrous results some children even at times speak badly of their loving parents and when this happens it's truly heartbreaking for those parents well the Israelites treated Jehovah similarly and it hurt Jehovah but let's see that at Psalm 1067 and9 we'll see it throughout our Bible reading this week but we'll start with Psalm 1067 and9 and seven says our forefathers in Egypt did not
appreciate your wonderful Works they did not remember your abundant loyal love but they rebelled at the Sea by the Red Sea but he saved them for the sake of his name to make his mightiness known he rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up he led them through its depths as through a desert it says that they Did not appr appreciate Jehovah's wonderful Works they did not remember His abundant love so what were these Works in this abundant love well to mention a few uh they got to watch the nation increase at an extraordinary rate
just like Jehovah promised it would and then after being enslaved at the hands of the Egyptians they watched Jehovah miraculously save them watching the 10 plagues watching them help them Escape Egypt by following a a pillar of cloud By day and a pillar of Fire by Night miraculously now let's put ourselves in their shoes for a second next the Israelites found themselves guided to the Red Sea and from a human standpoint it didn't seem like a Great Escape Route in front of them was this massive sea how would they get through it behind them they
saw pharaoh and his military forces closing in what should they have done at that moment well they were terrif And we probably would be too right but at that moment that was the time to stop and just like that young that child who remembers when their parents helped them when they were afraid the Israelites were supposed to think back to the many times Jehovah has saved them in the past and realize that he's got them this far they could just sit back and watch how he's going to save them the next time instead though they
were terrified and Afraid in fact at Exodus 1411 and 12 They said to Moses what have you done you have brought us here to die it's better that we have served the Egyptians they did not remember their savior they didn't remember all Jehovah had done for them and his capability what he could do for them but just like a loving parent Jehovah still helped his people even though they forgot him he parted the Red Sea right in front of them they were able to walk through on dry land and then close it up behind Them
and all the Egyptians died amazing right something you would never forget something that would last in your mind forever you tell your children about so did they remember it when the next trial came up well let's see at Psalm 106 13 and 14 we'll see if they remember this when they had other trials it says there but they quickly forgot what he did they did not wait for his counsel they gave way to their selfish Desires in the wilderness they tested God in the Desert how could you quickly forget seeing the Seas part in front
of you well maybe that next trial was even bigger was it no at uh Exodus 15:24 and 1723 it mentions that they got thirsty at Exodus 16 3 and eight it mentions they got hungry some of us are hungry and thirsty right now right they let something as simple as hunger and thirst allow them to forget Jehovah parting the Red Sea miraculous pillar of cloud and fire they did not appreciate their Savior had they remembered him had they appreciated him they would have realized how easy it was for him to provide food and water for
him after all he had already done but like a loving parent uh even if their children don't appreciate them they still are going to provide the Necessities still going to cook for them give them what they need and Jehovah did just that as simple as Moses striking a rock and Sweet Water came out they provided Quail for meat and and Mana in The morning for them Jehovah provided everything that they needed now did the Israelites start to realize that Jehovah was going to provide for them that they could put their full trust in him well
let's see at Psalm 106 19 and 21 let's see if now they start to trust in Jehovah it says they made a calf in HB and bowed down to a statue of metal they exchanged my glory for the representation of a Grass-eating bull they forgot God their savior who did great things in Egypt here we see they did not remember Jehovah once again we see Moses went to the top of Mount siai to receive instruction and the Israelites needed to just wait patiently for him to return while he was going all their needs were still
being met for miraculously by Jehovah God but the people their faith depended too much on Moses visible presence and when Moses not in sight They got anxious so what did they do well what they should have done was realize that Moses was just Jehovah's representative that Jehovah was the one who saved them he's the one who parted the Red Sea and did all these amazing things for them he's the one who was feeding them day in and day out but instead they asked Aaron to build a golden calf for him they were so excited they
started to dance and celebrate but that calf was useless for them it was Just a piece of metal the Israelites went on to worship other false gods who are also useless this enraged Jehovah and acts like this may Jehovah eventually give up on this forgetful and unappreciative nation of Israel so what can we learn from this well Jehovah is our heavenly father and just like a good father he wants us to turn to him when we're scared when we're feeling angry anxious when we need Guidance as we notice in the picture we'll see our sister
here she's reflecting on the many times Jehovah has come to her Aid in the past how Brothers have provided the spiritual care she needs how friends have provided physically and emotionally for her through groceries and letters realizing that it was Jehovah who truly provided these things for her and now if we notice the male that seems to be on the the table it looks familiar to me I Think it might be some bills all right our sister possibly with medical bills uh possibly facing some illness she may also be facing financial problems but what is
she doing she's getting ready for the ministry right she's putting Jehovah first trusting that he will be her savior just as he has promised to do we do well to take note of this we should take time now to reflect on the many times that Jehovah has came to our our Aid when we thought There was no way out when our anxieties and our fears were overwhelming us how Jehovah has got us through each and every situation how Jehovah day by day gives us just what we need write them down put them in a notebook
speak about them to our family and our friends this way when our next trial comes up which it definitely will we'll know exactly where to turn to to our Savior Jehovah God for help turn it back over to our Chamman thank you very much brother Gant we really appreciated that practical application of what we can do when we may face times of stress in our lives well let's move on now to our spiritual gems portion and to handle that for us brother Jerick is going to take care of that looking forward to hearing all of
your comments on our Bible reading to get us started our first question based on Psalms 10636 and 37 what is the Connection between idol worship and sacrifices to Demons sister diger well it could indicate that a person who uses Idols may eventually come under demon influence sister hunt this is really something we can uh help our students to appreciate because that scripture cross references to lesson 14 of the enjoy life uh publication on how worship can be Pleasing and under that subheading it helps us to appreciate that instead of getting closer to God we could
actually be pushing him away exactly sister espanosa in the front thank you um the Insight on the scriptures volume one um brings out that the worship that men direct towards their Idols or Gods actually goes to the demons and not to God um this is is um something that only Satan the devil Wants so when we do this um we're serving the interests of Satan and his demons and not Jehovah right you can see how someone's intentions can get twisted in that kind of scenario all right I think we covered that pretty well what spiritual
gems from this week's Bible reading would you like to share Sister Sister Tate The scripture was mentioned in our Treasures um portion but in verse 7 of 106 um there's a connection with the Israelites with lack of appreciation and disobeying um the study information mentioned they it's not that they they forgot but they failed to ponder appreciatively over what Jehovah had done so for us too we we want to continue to to think about what Jehovah is doing for us um and that will help us to maintain that appreciation and then We will continue to
follow what Jehovah tells us thank you uh Mark or Susie Smith on Zoom um we've had so much recently about how merciful Jehovah is and how far beyond our understanding it is that in verse one when it talks about how Jehovah's loyal love endures forever and then it lists all the things the nation did to reject Jehovah and all the way down in 45 he would feel great pity Moved by his great loyal love so sometimes when we may feel that we're not worthy of Jehovah's love we can remember yeah no Jehovah has mercy and
loyal love beyond what we can even fathom thank you sister Henry in the middle among the same thoughts that we've been discussing about uh how how quickly the nation of Israel forgot about Je and uh verses 23 and 24 it brings out uh that they actually despised the the Desirable land they had no faith in his promise they kept grumbling they didn't listen to Jehovah so it became a regular pattern of their life this grumbling and this disatisfaction with what Jehovah was providing and this truly pained his his heart to the point of wanting to
exterminate them so it just made me think about uh the fact that no matter what I'm going through I really want to try to be um um to think fondly on the things that Jehovah has done I remember His graciousness his his patience with us and that as sister Smith said he's ever loyal so in whatever I do I want to try to praise him in word and deed and bring joy to his heart and not sadness thank you sister Henry I'm trying to remember your last name is it root no okay sister on the
left I'm sorry um I also liked Psalms 10645 as SU brought out um it I love it because when it says Jehovah would feel pity the Footnote says or feel regret so it's a crazy thought to think that we can um our actions can make Jehovah feel something so intensely as regret and so it's just a reminder for us to um be mindful of our actions because they do affect Jehovah's feelings and he will act accordingly thank you uh oh on Zoom we have brother Gaston Gerald and Psalm um 106 and two ADV mentions who
can fully declare Jehovah's Mighty Acts or Proclaim all his pra praiseworthy Deeds the marginal reference to Psalm 40:5 makes it clear that Jehovah's works are too numerous to recount sometimes people say about Jehovah's Witnesses I know all about you people but we know we ourselves as Jehovah's people are learning as the scripture says the fringes of those ways and so don't we appreciate our recent guidance to slow down in our consideration of the scriptures and Meditate on what we're learning we'll never know all there is to learn about Jehovah's goodness but we can appreciate what's
been provided for us in scripture thank you uh this brother sitting with the uh barazas I liked uh to think on the verse one it says give thanks to Jehovah for he is good and it talks about verse two on it's talking about us those that declare about Jehovah's Mighty acts whether we do it in the ministry or we do it in any Other facet of service we have that chance to be thankful to Jehovah as we can give morning worship whenever we read and meditate we have that chance to bring those good thoughts that
can protect our heart and make it more pleasing to Jehovah whatever we do thank you for bringing out that angle oh sister Edwards really appreciate Psalms 106:1 16 where he says in the camp they grew jealous of Moses and of Aaron so again The fact that they forgot that they were a part of the camp and that was a blessing in itself and a good reminder for me that even when I see someone have a privilege that I would like or they have a better Circle circumstance um to not become jealous or envious but to
Rejoice with those who Rejoice thank you and this brother sitting right behind brother barza you got to remind me of your last name uh Henry we know Psalms 1063 uh cross references 151 and we know That 151 was covered heavily in our June 2024 speaking of remaining as a guest in Jehovah's tent and we do that by always doing what is right not engaging in slander or harmful go gossip and how important is that well we know that the March 20 uh 25 meeting workbook is also going to cover that point where we had the
reminder about Emily so it's just always a good reminder for us to watch the way we use our tongue thank you brother Henry sister fiser I may be saying it wrong okay the sister right there in the middle yep you got it thank you sometimes we associate the temptation of Disobedience or sin with external factors who's around us where we work where we go to school we could go on and on um but it's true those things can lead us astray sin really does start with our heart condition and in verse 14 it really highlights
that When it expresses that the Israelites gave into selfish Desires in the wilderness and they sinned in the desert they were very isolated from a lot of external factors but they still did not have the proper love for Jehovah so it's a very important lesson for us to make sure that we're constantly examining the internal factors not just external thank you brother Neil in the front going back to 106 verse one give thanks to Jehovah for he is good the 2015 yearbook had a nice thought this said after being delivered from pharaoh and his armies
at the Red Sea of the Israelites had every reason to give thanks to Jehovah we too can gladly give thanks to Jehovah true when we undergo triome circumstances we can easily become discouraged at such times we can be comforted and strengthened by reflecting on our blessings and among the most cherished of these is our sure hope of deliverance from everything that Causes us pain and distress whatever hardships may come our way we know that Jehovah will not abandon us thank you sister FR I got it right this time 106 verse 32 we're reminded of um
Moses with the Israelites at marah and how he responded and it didn't go it went badly for Moses because of them and what a good reminder for all of us not to allow others to either distract us from Jehovah or their actions to cause Us to become tired or frustrated that we lose focus um in this instance our Publications bring out that Moses was thinking mainly thinking mainly about his own feelings and instead of how he could glorify Jehovah and so how important for us today to always um think of Jehovah in the Forefront of
our reactions and actions that was worth it thank you for bringing that out we're just about out of time so thank you for all your comments we'll turn it back Over to our chairman thank you brother Jerick and thank you all for your well researched comments for our spiritual gems well now we're going to move to our next part that being our Bible reading looking forward to having Psalm 106: 21- 48 read and we'll invite brother Gonzalez to the platform to do that for us thank you they forgot God their savior who did great things
in Egypt wonderful works in The land of ham all inspiring Deeds at the Red Sea he was about to order their annelation but Moses his chosen one interceded with him to Ador his destructive anger then they despised the desable land they had no faith in his promise they kept grumbling in their tents they did not listen to the voice of Jehovah so he raised his hand in an oath concerning them that he would make them Fall in the wilderness he would make their descendants fall among the Nations and he would scatter them throughout the lands
then they joined in worship of bell of pure and they ate sacrifices of offered to the dead they provoked him by reactions and a Scourge broke out among them but when Phineas stood up and intervened the scourge was halted and it was counted to him as righteousness throughout all Generations forever they provoked him at the Waters of marba and he went badly for Moses because of them they and withered his spirit and he spoke rashly with his lips they did not annihilate the peoples as Jehovah had commanded them but they mingled with the Nations and
adopted their ways they kept serving their idols and this became a snare to them they would sacrifice their sons and their Daughters to Demons they kept spilling innocent blood the blood of their own son and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan and the land was polluted with Bloodshed they became unclean by their Works they committed spiritual prostitution by their deeds so they anger of Jehovah blazed against his people and he grew to the test his inheritance he repeatedly handed them over to the Nations so that those who Hated them might rule over
them their enemies oppressed them and they were subject to their power many times he rescued them but they would Rebel and disobey and they would be brought low for their error but he would see their distress and hear their cry for help for their sake he would remember his Covenant and he would feel pity moved by his great loyal love he would cause them to be pied by all Who held them captive save us oh Jehova Our God and gather us from the Nations so that we may give thanks to your holy name and exalt
in praising you may Jehovah the God of Israel be praised throughout all eternity and let all the people say amen praise J thank you very much brother Gonzalez you were working on study Point number 10 which was modulation and I have to say that was an excellent example of Modulation I greatly appreciated how you use the punctuation to pace yourself as the psalm was written but then when we saw exclamation points you Rose your voice but you didn't do it ex excessively and I was looking forward to see how you going to end that because
you you just can't give it enough with that amen and praise J at the end and you did a really good job there too so really appreciate your hard effort on that and appreciate hearing your next Part as well well now we'll move on to our next part of the meeting apply yourself to the ministry we have two parts to look forward to with our learn to make disciples um this will be number four is Simplicity what Jesus did and brother Stokes will take care of that for us I think you would agree with me
that keeping it simple when we're in the field work is uh sometimes hard to do especially when we want to help people And we have the most incredible information right at our fingertips so what example do we have perfect example here is notice the picture with Jesus here very simple setting and when we hear the video um notice the Simplicity in the detail that he uses and how powerful that can be on this account I say to you stop being anxious about your lives as to what you will eat or what you will drink or
about your bodies as to what you will Wear does not life mean more than food and the body than clothing observe intently the birds of Heaven they do not sew seed or reap or gather into storehouses yet your heavenly father feeds them are you not worth more than they [Music] are pretty simple huh nice setting easy comments that Jesus made made to those people let's ask a couple of questions that we're going to Consider here how did Jesus illustrate Jehovah's care for us just in the front row oh yeah he used a really simple illustration
about how Jehovah cares for the birds they don't need to cultivate food to grow their own food or to store it up when it might be scarce Jehovah always provides what they need when they need it so um and like because we're even more precious to him we can trust and rely that he'll take care of our Needs thank you beautiful let's look at our next question although Jesus knew many facts about birds on what simple detail did he focus and the second part of that is why was that an effective approach brother jerck in
the back he focused on their habits around specifically food he could have gone into great detail about all sorts of different types of birds and how they they survive and feed themselves and Travel around the world and get get through the winter but instead he focused on the effortlessness at which they're able to continue on and how that draws attention to Jehovah and how he takes care of us and why was that a very effective approach especially in that setting please sister cenace well in that setting the people they could see the birds and it
was very Simple that they could it's something they could uh relate to because they've seen the birds before so it was really simple and it was able to touch their hearts yeah just please sister the backa and also a simple illustration is easily remembered and the point is taken and able to make application um Joe manic please and it was such an effective illustration that likely afterward maybe the days and weeks following that Whenever they saw a bird it's likely that's what they thought was was of Jesus words yeah that was my thought too how
simple it was but powerful powerful point okay our last question here is what did we learn from Jesus in this illustration our brother right there please it doesn't matter how many of us are where we come from Jehovah is going to take care of Us yeah sister jar Jus wasn't into dealing with big words and trying to wow people with his intelligence he was in the type of work he does all he wants to do is touch other people's hearts so that's what we need to do brother Feer please and uh when we teach simply
it allows others to uh reach well we touch their heart and reaches their heart so it allows them to draw the right Conclusions um sister Barrett also using simple illustrations pretty much um not only helps the um the the student or the people are we talking to remember the main points but also brings glory to Jehovah ultimately um when we use uh when we teach others we bring praise to Jehovah brother Howard please just as in Jesus time people do worry about uh their material needs how they're going to be taken care of Whether they're
wealthy or poor and uh so he's just helping them to focus on Jehovah not just on what they can do to to meet their needs because he will be there for them well thank you for your comments and good pointers to remember out of this part is that the simpler we teach the simpler the point we try to make people will remember it and it will touch their hearts just like Jesus in a simple setting and use Simple direct Details and illustrations thank you very much brother Stokes and that got us off to a very
nice start with our lesson 11 consideration well we're going to continue in lesson 11 this time on the theme Simplicity imitate Jesus and we'll invite brother Boswick to the platform less is more you could say that describes the way Jesus taught when he was on Earth there's so much to learn from the Way Jesus taught he was so effective in the way that he taught truths of the Bible with Simplicity in a way that was easy to understand for everybody and he also taught with great balance he didn't give them too much information at one
time like noted at John 1612 that Jesus told his Apostles I still have many things to say to you but you're not able ble to Bear them now did Jesus answer all of their Questions about the kingdom and tell them everything all at once no Jesus never burdened his listeners with too much information and too much knowledge at one time now with that in mind how can we today as preachers of the good news imitate Jesus and the way that he taught with Simplicity and balance well in this discussion we'll consider three practical ways from
our Love people brochure and that will help us to be better simple yet more effective teachers of God's word our first practical way that is brought out in our brochure is do not talk too much now this may not be easy we may be excited to teach the truth excuse me we may have so many things you want to talk about right and we may end up talking too much over explaining have you ever talked to somebody who just talks too much maybe they're trying to Explain something to you and they're just talking and talking
and explaining more and explaining more and maybe by the end of that conversation you don't even remember anything you may have not gained any more knowledge you may even be more confused that could do more harm than good but a question for the audience how do you think overe explaining and talking too much when trying to teach Bible truths can affect Our students in the way that they learn sister Reynolds please we're talking too much we may muddle the point and then they don't understand um the point of the lesson right exactly great point my
sister here any many of us have an attention deficit and if the points aren't kept simple our eyes glaze over and the person talking may go on and on and on but we won't get any of it it's very True for sure brother to please and also I might just raise more questions if we talk too much we might bring out more points that we'll be discussed later on in whatever we're studying so the study material is designed in a way to help the students so let's just leave it to that leave it to the
faithful Slave how they've prepared it and we can follow that direction so that it doesn't confuse Them or ask more question cause them to ask more questions right great point exactly yeah brocher gives us a few great tips one that I really like is it reads after you ask a question wait patiently for your student to answer if he does not know the answer expresses a Viewpoint that conflicts with Bible teachings use additional questions to help them reason on the matter and that way it avoids from us talking too much or explaining too much we
can Ask questions and almost help them answer it for themselves now the second Point that's brought out in the brochure is help your student connect new teachings with what he already knows now this is a very skillful piece of advice for teaching helping make those mental connections to what our student already knows will really help those truths to sink into his heart now a question for the audience What are some ways that we can help our students to make these mental connections what would you say brother stall please well one way we can do that
is by using what they've already know what we've already taught them and then make the connection have them say well what have you learned about this what have you learned about that then you introduce the new topic and then tie it back into those pieces so that they can Make the connection right exactly it's perfect my dear brother here brother Henry and it gives the example of uh the res the lesson on Resurrection uh considering what you've learned about the dead and in the endur life forever book the condition of the Dead is in lesson
29 and what number comes after 29 30 and that's about the resurrection so it goes in sequential order uh focusing on what the faithful slave prepared in the publication exactly great Point now our third Point that's brought out in the brochure our third practical piece of advice is use illustrations carefully at 1 Corinthians 2:1 it says so when I came to you Brothers I did not come with extravagant speech or wisdom declaring the sacred secret of God to you and that really reflects jesus' way of teaching Jesus didn't use extravagant speech or wisdom like we
saw in that video Jesus was the perfect model in using illustrations that were deep yet Simple and easy to understand and the people of the day were able to easily relate to those illustrations now a question for the audience how would you define what an effective illustration is my sister here sister Henry it's simple it's easy to understand and it makes the main point that's it love it that's awesome yeah our illustrations can be so effective in the way we teach we just have to use Them carefully I love in our brochure a few questions
to consider when before using an illustration one that I really liked was will it help my student to remember the main point not just the illustration and that's an important question to ponder because we don't want to use an illustration that is so complicated or so in depth that it takes away from the main point our student may remember that illustration but they could forget what The main point is and so that is not an effective illustration right we want to keep those illustrations simple clear and easy to understand learning to teach in an effective
way and with Simplicity to reach our students Hearts it takes practice in time and this this may not come naturally to us but our love for people and and our our want for them to come to know Jehovah that does come naturally to us so we can have a good reason for improving and refining our Skills in the ministry and as we continue to study this brochure and use it we can make solid progress and really refine our skills in teaching and in doing so we can imitate the great teacher Jesus in the way that
he taught with simplicity thank you very much brother Boswick another excellent consideration of the second half of lesson 11 and something that we can take to heart as well well now we're going to move into our next Part of the minut or the meeting our living is Christian section and to get that underway we're going to sing a song together song number 78 entitled teaching the word of God to get our living as Christian portion of the meeting underway we're going to be considering our Circuit Assembly review and that's going to be handled by Brother
manic well friends tonight we're going to consider our recent assembly day with A branch representative and we're going to take that program and boil it down into 15 minutes of spiritual Gems by the means of three questions and then after those three questions we'll take a few minutes to review the review questions in the back of the assembly Day program so we look forward to hearing what you friends gleaned and what you benefited from and now here are the three questions feel free to pick whatever points you'd like From the assembly Day program the first
question which point or points from the assembly have drawn you closer to Jehovah which point or points from the assembly can you apply in the ministry and then finally which points from the assembly can you apply in your personal life or something of that nature so let's ask the audience what did you benefit from Sister canis please Nicole one point about the ministry was Uh shared by the co that a literal train can't stop or change directions immediately so in the same way people have trains of thought so we don't want to fight that we
want to show personal interest and that demands us to to talk about what they're interested in what they're thinking about and that personal interest he called it our Ticket to Ride very nice that was a nice point Thank you Nicole and sister Ashley canis peace and I uh liked the point made at Matthew 10:32 uh Jesus said that everyone who acknowledges me before men I will acknowledge Him to my father uh so every time we take a stand for the good news uh it's noticed by Jesus and then he tells his father Jehovah about it
uh so it's a topic of conversation in heaven uh so to know how interested and attentive uh Jehovah and Jesus are uh when we make a stand that draws me closer to them very nice thank you for sharing that Ashley appreciate It sister Thor please Michelle the program that I heard in a point about the ministry and the love people brochure is designed to help us to show love by dis displaying these qualities so that we can have conversations and the speaker use the illustration we go to the doctor and if he never ask us
anything about ourselves he the doctor is just talking to us about what he had on his mind we we would walk out so it's The same with talking with people in the ministry we want to find out what interests them and then we can direct them to Jehovah's word that was an excellent point thank you Michelle and sister fend please Crystal I appreciated the example of on aerus and how he was courageous in going um to see Paul even though it put himself in danger and um the brother made the point that um thinking that
we might be the exception to persecution Will just make us anxious we have have to just make peace with that possibility and um not be afraid of um being Outcast or having a low opinion um from others but um just thinking what it the the right amount of ourselves not not too much and not too little and just keeping our relationship with Jehovah top of Mind very nice thank you for sharing that sister fent uh brother Cass Stevens please Eli the opening part brought out that not Everyone wants to hear the good news they may
look down on those who share it but public opinion should not affect our view of the good news or our privilege to share it so we know the good news comes from Jehovah God and the good news we share is the best news very nice thank you for sharing that how about we turn to zoom we'll call in sister schaer please I appreciated how uh the circuit overseer mentioned aren't to be diligent workers with nothing to be ashamed of we Have to have the right motive in our ministry and the fuel we need for that
is to have love knowing that Jehovah is the source of our message also love for the message itself because it will mean salvation to those who accept it and it's a permanent fix for all the alses we have now and then love for for our King Christ Jesus that we can be co-workers with him in this marvelous work and love for people because Everyone that we meet could become a potential brother so we not need to never uh discount anyone uh we have to give them the opportunity and so love motivates us that's the fuel
we need to do the right thing thank you for sharing that with the sister Schaefer appreciate it uh brother front please Nate I really enjoyed the Watchtower Study um but it was so nice that for our congregation to have that privilege it Really is a privilege to to represent that and then just to see everyone they'd worked so hard we know it's just a sampling of of the congregation but they'd worked so hard they did it with joy I sat in the audience was just so enthralled had so much fun watching that so that was
nice to be a part of whether we were on the stage or in the audience what a treat for for all of us thank you for that Nate how about sister um hunt please Lisa I also loved the circuit overseas part of being a Workman with nothing to be ashamed of the thought of the train of thought how a train Can't Stop on a dime and how a train can't change direction on a dime so it says it's similar with a person's reasoning and their thought process process we have to actually think about the people
that we're talking to and think about their train of thought and he said their interest is our Ticket to Ride so we Need to board their train of thought learn about their interest so that we can appeal to them very nice thank you for that and I appreciate a brother's place he's part too a Workman with nothing to be ashamed of where he talked about where would we be without the Kingdom right he said when people are they're just raising awareness you know they're it's all they're doing going out raising awareness and everything they don't
have a solution we have the Solution to everything it's the kingdom uh so the kingdom is their life yeah brother Howard please and the final talk about boasting in Jehovah I just really like the way brother Manz ended up I think it was just about his last point he made was from 1 Corinthians 1:26 and 27 uh that God chose the weak and foolish things of of the world uh so that no one would boast about Jehovah the uh because the the weak and foolish things well we're Just um not going to boast about ourselves
but uh if we're a little bit high and mighty we might it's true thank you for sharing that brother Howard uh sister Henry please Margaret I also appreciate it like brother Howard many of the points from brother mans's talk on boasting in Jehovah and how he brought out that uh those who really trust in the world are are are really it's like looking at a mirage that it's uh it's uh it lacks Substance and it's only uh going to lead to disappointment it's only real in the minds of those that are looking at it but
it it doesn't really provide anything real so he talked about the fact that uh the world's material security their um um when they look to that their wealth um all of those things aren't real but Jehovah is Real Bible prophecies are real the kingdom is real and the angels are real so all of these are things that we can look to with Confidence knowing that Jehovah will uh protect us and take care of us so uh we have something of substance to hold on to very nice thank you for sharing that Margaret sister Park please
I appreciate the taking a stand for the good news part because um it he acknowledged that no one likes to stand alone and stand out and and even Peter he had the fear of men but um we don't need to be worried about negative reactions just take a stand and see who Follows and maybe if we don't do so well we can learn from the ne uh from the experience and do better next time very good reminder thank you for that how about sister Ruben please Rachel to your point that the only solution is the
kingdom and as crystal said being at peace with the people that we are I thought the experience with Mike and Chelsea with Mike having cancer and having to go into surgery and as actions speak so much louder than words Mike Really was in a position where his only solution was that and he had to be at peace with his determination and really when you're getting reeled into surgery you you lose complete control of your life I mean somebody else is even controlling your breathing and he had just a new family but he s stood so
strong and as he stood on the stage telling us that story with such confidence it was beautiful thank you for reminding of us of that sister Ruben sister Reynolds dearra um I appreciate the part um power and love and soundness of mind and showing the spirit in that way and the scripture that was highlighted was Jeremiah 17:7 and8 that talks about putting our trust and confidence in Jehovah and that that person would be like a tree planted by water um not anxious and um not bothered by the Heat and how they related to that um
relay that was that we have no reason to rely On oursel that Jehovah is always going to help us we have no reason to be anxious and we should always depend on Jehovah when problems and challenges arise so was a good reminder for me very nice nice thank you for sharing that and sister Cass Stevens please there was a demonstration where someone was trying to pressure one of our brothers or sisters to join in a cause in their secular employment and the way that they responded I thought Was so practical to keep in mind said
I've committed my time energy and resources to another cause and the global effort by Jehovah's Witnesses to provide practical support to victims of conflict and then we could even give them examples on the website so just simple statements to provide a meaningful response when someone is pressuring us very nice thank you for that one well let's shift gears now a little bit let's go back and review the Questions on the back of the find answers to these questions from our assembly day uh question number one why are we not ashamed of the good news then
based on our program that we attended sister Cummings Please Sheila oh we're not ashamed of the good news because it comes from Jehovah and it means salvation for everyone who listens to it very Nice good positive Point thank you for that Sheila so our second question how do we take a stand for the good news sister um you know who you are but I don't remember your name right now I'm sorry we courageously support the good news and support the arrangements thank you sister Hamilton question number three what makes us effective workers in the Ministry
brother comings no well we're effective because we're motivated by love very good nice thought anything else we could share with that point sister f please and we're effective because we share truths in a natural way that appeal to our listeners very nice thank you sister f all right question four how can we Imitate the example of an aerus brother sprag please Lincoln um I have in persecution have a sound mind and follow guidance very nice beautiful application and sister Park and that we cannot endure the trials ahead on our own strength but no matter what
we Face we have no reason to be ashamed of the good news or our brother brothers and sisters very nice thank you for adding that sister Park Question five how do we show that we are not ashamed to stand up for our god sister Henry please it's really by our words and by our actions in small matters and large we show that we support God's Kingdom and stand up for his moral standards and uh and for his his permanent solution very nice I've got here too that we're representatives of that Kingdom we have to remember
that we're Representatives that was a good point and then finally Question number six number six excuse me how do we boast in Jehovah something we don't do much but how do we boast in Jehovah as far as boasting ourselves mean I shouldn't say about Jehovah but how do we boast in Jehovah uh brother Jared please the sound box by clearly presenting him as a solution to man's problems in our ministry very nice thank you for sharing that well friends you did beautiful we appreciated all your points and we Benefited from the points that you shared
with us as reminders and we can continue to talk about these reminders as we go about our future lives together thank you thank you brother Beric and thank all of you for your fine participation in our review well now we're coming to our last part of the program that being our congregation Bible study and we'll invite brother Hart and brother Howard to the platform for That thank you well this evening we begin chapter 18 in our bearing witness uh publication the title is seek God and really find him now these words are from a well-known
speech of the Apostle Paul where was he at that time to whom was he speaking what can we learn that will help us in our ministry today if we Analyze that speech as you know Paul had answered the call to step over into Macedonia and he had a productive Ministry in Philippi in thessalonica in Berea but there was also the opposition that followed him and so he left Macedonia and headed south to AA to Athens the territory is different true he went to the synagogue as was his custom but he wanted to also reach the
non-jews and that territory was different a Pantheon of gods philosophical societies how would he adjust how would he adapt how would he seek common ground and Again what lesson for us today in accomplishing our ministry so that's where we begin paragraphs 1 to three brother Howard please Paul is greatly Disturbed he is in Athens Greece the center of learning where Socrates Plato and Aristotle once taught Athens is the most religious City all around him in temples in public squares and on the streets Paul sees an array of Idols for Athenians worship a Pantheon of gods
Paul knows how Jehovah the true God views idolatry the faithful Apostle shares Jehovah's view he abhors Idols what Paul sees upon entering the agura or Marketplace is especially shocking a large number of fic statues of the God Hermes lie in the northwest corner near the near the principal entrance the marketplace is filled with shrines how will the zealous Apostle preach in this deeply idolatrous climate will he control his emotions and find Common ground with his audience will he succeed in helping any to seek the true God and really find him Paul's speech to the Learned
man of Athens is recorded at acts 177 22-31 is a model of eloquence tact and discernment by studying Paul's example we can learn much about how to establish Common Ground helping our listeners to reason thank you brother Howard so the question a why is the Apostle Paul greatly Disturbed in Athens brother canis he's disturbed because uh he sees all the idol that's going on in that Society he sees all the different idols and he knows that Jehovah is the one true God and how Jehova feels i b a dollat Tre so Paul abhor it just
like Jehovah does thank you sister uh jar and we can only imagine what it would be like to be in that are area to Be surrounded by people who are not only um who serve idolatry and serve demons but maybe there's they're all demonized you have people coming up to you saying things that you don't understand or people who are greatly Disturbed so really he was in the situation that would make him feel very very uncomfortable thank you please our brother here from Valdosta I can imagine just going to a Supermarket and and seeing a
bunch of idols and this is what the paragraph mentions that Paul went to the Agora or the marketplace and and he see all these Idols that you know made out of of of any materials disgusting to Jehovah brother uh Gaston same point about the aora imagine the size of the marketplace it wasn't like our parking lot here let's say our Kingdom Hall parking lot but maybe the size of the parking lot at the Assembly Hall so it's a wide area and then of course it mentions that the fic statues line in the northwest corner so
a lot of people in a wide area were affected by uh what they saw and of course they would gather there to discuss uh uh old and new things the scriptures mention so they were quite affected by um the the wickedness that existed as was Paul was mentioned thank you brother toony in uh paragraph one it mentions the word Pantheon of Gods uh I didn't really know what that meant but uh a quick definition search says all the gods of a people or religion collectively that's overwhelming and the goal of Paul is to reach the
hearts of these people to help them seek the true God one out of all that collection of gods that they worship over there so that is truly an overwhelming task to get in that environment and try to do that thank you in Our um Jim's part tonight we had a very verse from the Psalms that shows why Idol worshiping is so abhorent remember remember that I think sister diger commented on it back then sister Bellow please because in truth it's worship of demons yeah my goodness so you can imagine how he feels in in this
environment all this all this demon influence Basically is uh what he's faced with sister Espinosa and I know it was touched on already but how ugly this kind of behavior is to behold um when he entered the marketplace the statues of the God Hermes lined the northwest corner and they were in the shape of a phallic image um so how un not only shocking but UNC comfortable it must have been to be surrounded um by these Idols let alone how disturbing it was um their shapes And their various um Gods thank you please um like
brother man when at 3:00 in the morning when I wake up I'll think it was um well this made me think of maybe similar places or locations and I thought of even um States or or cities in New York being replaced with multiple beliefs and and and people yeah so multiple cultures and so it mentioned there how will he be able to control his emotion and and just having um to Encounter multiple people in snpw were out and about in in this area how do we control our emotions and how Paul's example will really help
us find that common ground and speak with tact and and be able to attract people to Jehovah good thank you so let then let's add B what can we learn by studying Paul's example sister Ruben similar to what was just said even though we're not in Athens and we're not Dealing exactly with what Paul was dealing with we have a lot of common denominators we are in a society right now that are idolizing people as the solution they're celebrating holidays that are literally to the dead and are based on untruths we are around people that
are numbing their pain may it be through alcohol or smoking things all of these things can cause us frustration and it can be really hard to control our emotions and our speech speech but Really just like Paul we have to work adamantly to see people for what they are and not for what they're doing thank you brother barazza so he's actually in a place that Jehovah abhor you know in a Place full of demons we can say so how can he present the truth to these people this is the challenge that he has before him
and this is what we're going to learn on this lesson okay good thank you that paragraph three mentions his eloquence His tact his discernment well we may not focus so much on his eloquence but uh how did he get to Common establish common ground with the people to reason with them that's what we're interested in now would someone like to read for us please acts chap 17: 16- 21 Acts 16- 20 sisters set now while Paul was waiting for them In Athens his Spirit within him became irritated on seeing that the city was full of
Idols so he began to reason in the synagogue with the Jews and the other people who worshiped God and every day in the marketplace with those who happen to be on hand but some of both the epicurian and the stoic philosophers began disputing with him and some were saying what is it this chatterer would like to tell others he seems to be a proclaimer of foreign Deities this was because he was declaring the good news of Jesus and the resurrection so they took hold of him and led him to the areopagus saying can we get
to know what this new teaching is that you are speaking about for you are introducing some things that that are strange to our ears and we want to know what these things mean thank you very much and now paragraphs four and five please uh brother Howard Paul visited Athens on his second missionary journey in about 50 CE while waiting for Silas and Timothy to arrive from Berea Paul began to reason in the synagogue with the Jews as was his custom he also saw out a territory where he could reach Athens non-jewish citizens in the marketplace
or agura located northwest of the Acropolis Athens Agra covered 12 acres 5 hectares or so the marketplace was much more than a location of buying and Selling it was the city's Public Square One reference work notes that this place was the economic political and cultural Heart of the City ethens delighted to Athenians delighted to convene there and engage in intellectual discussion paragraph five Paul faced a challenging audience at the marketplace among his listeners were epicurian and stoics members of rival schools of philosophy the epicureans believed that life came into existence by accident This view of
life was summed up as follows nothing to fear in God nothing to feel in death good can be achieved evil can be endured the stoics stressed reason and logic and did not believe God to be a person neither the epicureans nor the stoics believed in the resurrection as taught by Christ's disciples clearly the philosophical views of these two groups were incompatible with the elevated truths of genuine Christianity which Paul was Preaching thank you very much so the question a or the first part of the question let's deal with that where did Paul preach in Athens
so we're focusing on paragraph 4 and uh brother Thorp please he he started with the synagogue with the Jews but then uh he expanded his ministry into the marketplace thank you sister Finn and this is where the city life was really happening it was um a large space about 12 acres sort of like a Public Square I can think of um maybe in New York City Time Square there's so much life happening there even though there's a lot of things that maybe we don't enjoy about it um so this was a place where um the
life that was happening also included these intellectual discussions people would gather there to to just debate things and um talk about New ideas so they didn't just buy the meat there all kinds of things were going on yes thank you uh let's look at the box there for a moment or two uh Athens cultural capital of the world any comment on the opening paragraph the size of the district not not not not necessarily Athens itself but that entire District of ateka There and the opening paragraph in the Box sister canis please it was a th000
square miles and it was surrounded by mountains in the sea thousand square miles the whole of New York City is 500 square miles all Burrows 500 square miles so we're so you can just imagine that whole area there from one C to the section okay where did it get its name Sister okay let me ask brother barazza it mentions that a god his name from its patr goddess Athena so I mean that just highlights a little more about how entrenched these beliefs were second paragraph how did it get organized the Neil the in the 6th
Century BCE an Athenian legislator named Solen reformed the social political juridicial and economic structures of the city and he Made improvements for the poor and laid the basis for what we might call an early democracy in Greece good thank you but a democracy for uh sister Burke it's not sister Burke okay 3:00 in the morning come please the very sister that uh Javin missed no no here did you not have your hand up no oh did I get the name right at least Okay I thought I saw your hand going up all right uh sister
uh sister Hart please so really it was a democracy for the rich because most of the people Liv in they were slaves yeah something to keep in mind when we're talking about human Rule and the great democracies in the fourth paragraph the next paragraph down uh um What notable Bible event is taking place about the same time the paragraph doesn't mention it but just to see the timeline of things we're dealing with the Greek victories over the Persians in the 5th Century BCE what is happening in Bible time in in in Bible what is happening
with God's people sister Henry uh sister hunt sorry if uh I'm not mistaken uh God's People U would have been um under the median Persian Empire yeah Meo persan Empire in the days of sister hars it would no doubt have to be during the time of morai and Esther yeah yeah you see because daras the First lost this battle in 490 BC at Marathon and so the guy ran from uh uh from Marathon all the way to Athens that's how the the race got started Right Marathon 26 miles he ran to to give the news
and daras the first was the father of Xerxes or Aus so that's where we are in Bible times good anything else about uh Athens the Acropolis or the paron any comments on these please uh sister I thought it was of note as well that it talks about Athens being a university City where um some of the sons of the wealthy were sent to study so we can think about um highly esteemed universities today the vibe of the city there's a lot of um new information that's coming in people like to debate about beliefs and really
think about religious ideas philosophies so that also coupled with religious City could have made an um an exciting at that time mix for Paul to be preaching to all of those inhabitants okay good thank you Sister Edwards know forther roric so imagine Paul having to deal with individuals who feel that they're so on firm ground as far as their their view on um things all around them whether it's sexual or material all of these things that they've looked into these deep deep things and they found the answer okay all right so more on Paul's territory
this is the second part of the question in four and on four and five what Challenging audience awaited him paragraph five sister ler well there were two schools of philosophy that rivaled one another that were very prevalent one were was the epicurian who believe that life came into existence by accident and then the other was the stoics who didn't didn't believe in God being a person the um one thing that both of these schools of thought uh Shared in common was that they believed that the resurrection uh they did not believe rather in a in
this resurrection that Jesus and his disciples taught yes good thank you sister kenis let we see where this could be a challenge for Paul because he's used to preaching to the Jews who usually knew about Jehovah about the Patriarchs and all the Bible History so there was a little bit more of a common ground they Had more of respect for the scriptures over here now you're facing people who had their own ideas own philosophies and didn't really um have that fear of God or knew anything about the scriptures about Jesus so this was going to
be a challenge for him how is he going to find that common ground with them good thank you brother gonal and also outside of this uh two schools of uh uh philosophers uh you had a ton of people that were just Highly Educated ER it was the center of education at that time uh so people in general would know more about religion in general about different beliefs so it was very likely that they would ask Paul about his religion about different uh questions that maybe people never faced before so it was definitely a very challenging
audience thank you please brother it's great and also we've Probably um experienced in our ministry um talking with some people um who are very uh want to break down to the very minute details of whatever we're um saying and trying to kind of Rin it back into simple things so we could imagine Paul um doing the same bringing these simple truths and then um wanting to say well let's break that down into this very deep and and uh it'd be very difficult for him to re that all in and to uh reach that simple message
and to Probably um listen to many um long winded discussions on the subjects thank you sister Henry putting it all into perspective I love the way the paragraph ends it by saying that these two groups there Phil philosop philosophical views were incompatible with the elevated truths of genuine Christianity so Paul really had the most elevated uh view which was Jehovah's and his teachings were the Most elevated but that's not of course how the his audience viewed it but in truth uh he had the elevated truths thank you so let's pursue that for our day and
our time in our territory we don't know who we meet people from all parts of the world all parts of the country all sorts of backgrounds can we feel that same sort of confidence and conviction that Paul Had amongst all these brainy people brother L we we absolutely could and do um amidst all of this uh crazed climate uh there was there was a great deal of confusion uh amongst people uh these were not necessarily the target audience for Paul Paul was still looking for sincer minded people that were looking or possibly searching for the
truth so uh we we learned earlier that he was he Had to exercise discernment uh he had to look beyond the obvious so he was confident in in Jehovah's Spirit leading him to those sorts or those types of individuals and we feel similar today thank you brother green I was thinking about well in in the um the Box about epicurian that their goal was uh or it says that knowledge was sought only to rid a person of religious fears and superstitions and we've had Reminders um to not get emotionally charged when we're when we're accused
and I I think it's a good reminder because if someone makes you feel like well you're you're dumb because you're still stuck in a fear of religion you're stuck because of fear of God we've I've been elevated because I've learned it can be it can be offensive it can put us on the defensive um but remembering like it was already mentioned we have that elevated source of Truth we we need to Be really confident and that will help us to be calm when we do receive those those kinds of reactions because it's going to continue
to happen more and more that people feel like they have uh they have the elevated source of Truth brother Jared and even though circumstances have changed and the times have changed to a degree motives have not changed uh the epicurian by and large wanted to be happy the stoics wanted a sense of Control over their lives they both dipped their toes into spiritism on their way to do that but that didn't mean that their motive was uh fundamentally wrong or that you couldn't find common ground with them and in the same way people have all
all sorts of different belief systems all sorts of directions they'll go in life but their motives remain consistent mankind uh by and large seeks out and searches for the same Things thank you brother fren we had the two parts tonight on how Jesus taught simply he was the smartest man that ever walked the Earth and yet he he knew that what was more appealing was just simple truth so we don't have to combat smart smart we can appeal to smart with simple and brother Henry and we know that discernment is a grasp of all the
facts and uh our discernment we want it to be based on Bible principles not personal opinion not the Viewpoint of others and uh that will allow us to make a defense for the truth just like how Paul did in a tackle Manner and our love people make disciples book has a part in the appendix on also using discernment on knowing when to end the conversation thank you well we're just getting Paul into Athens he sees the territory but he's not afraid of It he mustered up some boldness and he tried to help the people he
tried to reach to them and next week and our lesson when we come to this eloquent delivery of material there at the areopagus we'll learn more about how to seek common ground with people and how to use our elevated truth to help people to find God thank you very much thanks brother Howard Thank you brother Hart brother Howard and all of that were able to give comments and maybe wanted to give a comment and didn't have a chance to well what did we learn this evening well if you go all the way back to our
Treasures from God's word what did we learn about the Israelites well in this case they set a bad example when they became afraid they forgot Jehovah so what should we do we should remember him when they became anxious what' they do They worshiped Idols what should we do we should worship Jehovah when it comes to our apply ourselves to the field Ministry we had two very good parts about how we should preach simply keep it short keep it simple follow Jesus example and then finally with our congregation Bible study as brother Hart alluded to we're
just getting the stage set to really see how Paul set an excellent example intact and being able ble to approach even what Could be considered a pretty diverse group in Athens and we'll look forward to seeing more about that next week well that'll conclude our meeting for this evening and as we typically have in our custom we'll sing a concluding song the song is number 77 light in a darkened world and then we'll ask brother Gaston to the platform to close with prayer again that's song 77 welcome to the summary of apply yourself to the
field Ministry for this week the weekly Bible reading is based on Psalm 106: 21 to 48 reminding us how the people of Israel forgot Jehovah their savior despite his great acts of Deliverance and mercy for them this Psalm highlights how the Israelites turned away from Jehovah and disobeyed his Commandments falling into practices like idolatry and mingling with Nations that did not serve Jehovah as a consequence and they Suffered oppression and hardships but the psalm also shows that Jehovah in his compassion did not abandon them from this passage we learn valuable lessons first we see the
importance of always remembering Jehovah's Works in our lives when we forget get his love and protection we can easily stray or place our trust in things that lead us away from him this reminder motivates us to maintain a constant and grateful Relationship with Jehovah not taking his help and guidance for granted another key lesson is Jehovah's Mercy despite the many times Israel rebelled Jehovah did not completely reject them but listen to their pleas when they return to him this teaches us that even if we fail if we sincerely repent Jehovah is willing to forgive us
and offer his help again it reminds us that his compassion And faithfulness have no limits the psalm also encourages us to avoid negative influences the Israelites suffered when they mingled with Nations practicing things contrary to Jehovah's laws this teaches us the importance of choosing our friends and surroundings carefully if we want to remain faithful we need to surround ourselves with people who share our love and respect for Jehovah finally the psalm closes with praise to Jehovah reminding us that he deserves to be exalted for his patience and loyalty it motivates us to reflect on all
the ways Jehovah has rescued us and to respond with gratitude and obedience like the psalmist we too can Proclaim Jehovah's goodness and learn from past mistakes to live in a way that honors him next assignment Simplicity what Jesus did based on Matthew 6:25 to 27 that is why I say to you stop being anxious about your lives what you will eat or what you will drink or about your bodies what you will wear does not life mean more than food and the body more than clothing these words of Jesus remind us not to be overly
concerned about our material needs he understands that we Face difficulties and worries yet he invites us to trust fully in Jehovah who is our loving provider and cares for Each of us observe intently the birds of Heaven Jesus gives us a simple yet powerful illustration the birds without planning or storing up find what they need day by day because Jehovah cares for them with love and attention are we not worth much more than Birds if Jehovah feeds these small creatures how much more will he take care of our needs Jesus continues with a reflective question
who of you by being anxious can Add a single hour to his lifespan he wants us to understand that worry does not benefit us at all on the contrary it can affect our health and inner peace let us remember that our heavenly father knows what we need and will help us at the right time reflecting on these words brings us peace it encourages us to live one day at a time to trust in Jehovah with full faith and to remember that he is always Present ready to sustain us in every situation we are not alone
in our struggles Jehovah cares for us more than we can imagine he day is an opportunity to renew our faith to remember that Jehovah values every aspect of our lives so let us leave our worries in his hands and focus on serving him with joy and Trust as we trust more in him we will feel our peace grow and our faith strengthen next assignment Simplicity imitate Jesus in teaching one of the most valuable tools we have is the students knowledge using what they already know gives them a secure Foundation from which they can explore new
Concepts and allows them to make connections that reinforce their understanding this approach also makes learning more natural and effective as it builds on what they already understand and Trust for example when starting a lesson on the Resurrection we can briefly review what the student already knows about the state of the Dead perhaps they have learned that death is a state of unconsciousness like being asleep reaffirming this concept allows them to remember and reflect and helps them see the resurrection as a real and tangible hope offered by the Bible this method is powerful because it shows
that Bible knowledge is coherent and Continuous they are not isolated Concepts but parts of a greater truth that link together so when talking about the resurrection direction we can connect the idea that although death seems like the end Jehovah has promised to restore life to those who have passed away by relating this promise to what the student already understands about death we can help them feel that the resurrection is something attainable and Based on a comprehensible reality furthermore when we use the students prior knowledge we show them that we value their effort and what they
have already learned this attitude not only strengthens their confidence but also motivates them to continue moving forward each lesson becomes an extension of what they already know and this gives them a sense of progress and personal growth so let us remember the importance Of reviewing what the student already knows this not only reinforces their Foundation but also makes it easier for them to understand and accept new teachings by using this approach we help make their learning solid and Progressive in this way they not only understand New Concepts but also integrate them into their life and
heart just as Jesus used familiar examples for his listeners we too can use the truths the Student already knows helping them to see the beauty and logic of the Bible's hope each lesson then becomes step in their relationship with Jehovah and in their trust in his promises in conclusion these principles we have analyzed help us to strengthen our faith and our relationship with Jehovah they show us the importance of remembering not only the great works Jehovah has done for his people but also His personal acts of love and protection toward each one of us the
history of Israel with all its ups and Downs is a source of practical and spiritual lessons for our lives it reminds us that although we may make mistakes or face Temptations Jehovah is willing to give us a second chance when we show sincere repentance this is proof of his incomparable patience and his deep love When Jesus exhorts us not to worry about our material needs he reminds us of the nature of our heaven heavly father he knows what we need even before we ask and assures us that if we maintain our trust in him he
will not abandon us Jesus with simple yet powerful examples invites us to observe how Jehovah cares for creation from the birds of the sky to each one of us this reminder brings us comfort and helps us focus our lives on what truly Matters additionally Jesus example in teaching guides us to use methods that facilitate learning and the understanding of students Jesus used what was familiar what was known to his listeners this not only made his teachings more accessible but also showed respect for their level of understanding following his example we can help others strengthen their
faith building on what They have already learned reinforcing Concepts and making each lesson a step closer to a deeper understanding of biblical truth therefore when applying these principles in our ministry let us remember that we are not simply sharing information we are helping to mold hearts and to cultivate a lasting relationship with Jehovah this is a sacred privilege and every effort we make to teach with patience and compassion reflects the Love we feel for God God and for our fellow humans
