as we talk about this refrigeration cycle sometimes it can be a little overwhelming for you and that's okay that's normal there's a lot to take in there's a lot to know break it down in individual pieces and then as you're going through it you're putting those individual pieces together so instead of learning all of this you're learning this in individual sections and just keep practicing it keep studying it and eventually it's going to come easier and easier as you go through it as we go through this course we're going to learn more and more and
keep adding more and more to this sometimes as we add more and more it actually makes it easier so i'm going to go through this refrigeration cycle with just a little bit of a twist to it we're going to imagine that this is a refrigerant and we haven't talked much about refrigerants we're going to add that later but just imagine this sponge is a refrigerant here i have my bowl that's outside and here i have a bowl that's inside so this bowl inside to put red food coloring in it to represent heat so imagine that
the blower down here is moving the heat or moving the air the heat's in the air across evaporator coil so we constantly have heat available at my evaporator coil so what's happening is the compressor condenses or compresses that refrigerant on this side that refrigerant runs to my metering device the metering device is also called an expansion device and it allows for the sponge to expand now we run the air over the evaporator coil and the refrigerant will actually absorb some of the heat energy so here we have the heat energy then we take the refrigerant
all the way to our compressor our compressor compresses it we run it through the condensing coil and we reject the heat out of the refrigerants we keep that refrigerant compressed all the way over here to our metering device the metering device is going to allow for expansion we run air across the evaporator coil heat leaves the air and goes into the refrigerant we absorb the heat and then what we do is we take that refrigerant to the outside compressor condenser we compress it we reject the heat out of the refrigerant into the air outside we
then take the refrigerant back to the inside we allow for expansion we absorb heat and then we run that refrigerant to the outside where we compress it reject heat we go inside expansion absorb heat outside compression rejecting heat and the condenser inside expansion evaporator absorbs heat we go outside compressor condenser rejects heat inside expansion evaporator absorbs heat we go to the outside compressor condenser rejects heat we go inside expansion evaporator absorbs heat we go outside compressor condenser reject and what we're doing is simply moving the heat now we have less heat in this container and
we've moved the heat to the outside this is the refrigeration cycle absorbing heat from inside rejecting heat to the outside keep practicing this study this however long it takes you to get it down practice it study it over and over and over and eventually it's going to come it's going to click for you and then we're going to keep adding steps don't move forward until you're ready once you're ready to move forward we're going to add the next video
