so you know there are AI tools like chat GPT and Bing and quick ride and all the things that are popping up all over but when it comes to studying the Bible what are the best prompts that you can put in well in this video I'm going to give you my top 10 prompts to study any book of the Bible now in case you and I haven't met yet I'm Keith Farren your Bible coach my passion is helping people move from should to want when it comes to reading studying and enjoying God's word so if that sounds good to you then you're going to want to click that little button down there so you don't miss a video well as you know AI is all over the place and people have been using chat GPT for so many things and I believe it can be a powerful tool for studying the Bible now in a previous video I covered my seven dangers of studying the Bible with chat GPT or with any AI tool so you might want to watch that if you're concerned because I do think there are some things that we should be concerned about but I also think it could be an amazingly powerful tool but the way that any of these tools work whether it's Chad GPT or my favorite quick right or Bing or anything else it it uses something called prompts you need to be able to put information in so that it gives you the best information now that can oftentimes be difficult to figure out what is the best prompt to put in so the information you get back is actually good so I want to let you know that I've spent the last week creating a uh something I want to give you a resource I want to give you that is simply 95 artificial intelligence prompts this will work in chat gbt it'll work in bing it'll work in quick right and these are designed to be copy and paste the link is right below this video where it's for doing research on background and context getting an overview of a book how to study people and then some other ideas for research and responses all that kind of stuff kind of application thinking through I've just got 95 different prompts that you can use to copy and paste right into it into your favorite AI tool now I want to what I'm gonna do today is I'm I've taken 10 from that list and applied it to how I would go about studying the book of Philippians so I'm gonna once again share my screen and show you my favorite tool which is quick right now quick write is a tool that is built for writers so it's not built for Bible study it is built by a company called a dazing that is run by a guy named CJ who I know personally who is a Christian uh who is passionate about creating amazing resources to help writers and authors but what he didn't realize when he was creating this is that he created the most powerful Bible study research tool when it comes to AI tools out there and so I'm going to use this tool this is it is a paid tool you know that there are some that are free most of the ones you even chat GPT has a free option and a paid option most of them are subscriptions like chat GPT at the time of this recording is twenty dollars a month if you want some faster speeds you want some more robust options all those things well quick write is something that you there is a subscription to it so you can uh get it for forty seven dollars a month but there's also a lifetime license for 4. 97 but with the link that uh that I have Keith farren. com quick write lifetime you can get that lifetime license for at the time of this recording for 300 off and get it for 197.
one time no subscription unlimited updates all of that which as a side note I just noticed when I logged on to record this demo that he's added a feature about translating so translating into different languages which blows me away and I can't wait to try it out there will be a video coming on that as well but uh but as they all do more features you're not paying for those and uh I know that that 197 dollar price is going up to 297 on June 15th of 2023 so if your watch it was a six month kind of the first six months of launch after that it's still 200 off and that's a one time so make sure that you use Keith ferron. com quick write lifetime all one word uh to get the license of that now diving into how I use this research when you log into quick right you've got a place to keep these documents one of the things I love about it is that you can save these documents because you're not doing all your you might be studying the book of Ephesians or the book of Philippians or Acts or whatever you might be studying multiple things or you might be studying something for several months and you want to keep adding to it I love that you can keep adding to it you can save it and so going into I'm going to use the example of Philippians of how I would do this and what I've done is I've taken these 10 prompts and I've put them into quick right I I didn't want this video to be one where you're sitting there waiting for 30 seconds when I type in a prompt and it's writing a bunch of words across the screen so I pre-loaded I I came in and just simply did the research I started my timer everything that you're going to see today is something that I created in under 20 minutes in fact when I stopped my stopwatch after creating all of this formatting it doing all the things that you're going to see I was at 19 minutes and three seconds so just to give you an idea of how much you can do in a very quick amount of time so now again quick write is a tool that is built for writers so most of the time people will come in and they'll be fiction writing non-fiction writing all these different kinds of things and with the drop down menu but but uh if you if you go in and you select power editor then this will come up which is kind of the blank prompt like you would use for chat GPT or Bing or one of the other AI tools that I'm sure will come out next week right after I've recorded this video but uh this is the place where I put in the prompts and the way I'm going to show you how I like to do research in addition to the the actual prompts that I use how I like to organize it so hopefully this will be something that you can build on but I like to be able to organize things so that it's easy for me to come back and and do this later so one of the prompts that I put in first is uh is I copied and pasted right into here this prompt right here what are the significant life events of the Apostle Paul both before and after he wrote the book of Philippians and then you'll see that he uh that this is what it what it popped out and and I want one of the warnings I put in the kind of the the video on dangers is that this this is a way of doing research just like if you went to the web and you just searched for uh articles you still need to be Discerning you still need to be prayerful again this the information you're getting here is to draw you into deeper relationship with God through his word this is an extra voice in the conversation this is not the end all answer remember the goal of Bible study any Bible study is relationship not information so this information is like a study Bible uh it needs to add into the conversation you are having with God and like any other research it can be wrong right and so you be being Discerning with that as well so after I put put that in here uh then I click generate content and all of that information comes into this middle section right here and then I can copy and paste the pieces that I want or I can simply click which is what I did just to show you the example of all that it kicks out I just created those and then I clicked move content to editor now what I really like to do is I really like to whatever prompt I put in I like to put in big bold black letters right prompt and this and cut paste exactly what I put in and then the content that it came out so that if it created something really really good I could use that when I study another book of the Bible if it's something that it wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be maybe I can tweak it and re-word it or add a little context to it um that that you know makes it a better answer and so then I move the content to the editor and it talks about his conversion and his first missionary journey his second mission Journey his third missionary journey and then after writing the book of Philippians Apostle Paul experienced several significant life events arrest and imprisonment his trial and appeal to Caesar is martyrdom and so is that going to give a full complete timeline no but I could actually if I wanted to write a detailed timeline of Paul's life I could go in and reword the way that I do the prompt so prompt number one is asking about significant events when I'm looking I love to know the background of the author of the book of the by of a book of the Bible that I'm looking at so second prompt is what were the major world events if we're talking about these letters were written and inspired by the holy spirit for all time but they were also written into cultural context into things that happen and and sometimes it's it's just interesting to know what else was happening in the world at the time that this was written so when I put in what were the major world events that happened at the time Philippians was written uh it talked about the Roman Empire's expansion it talked about Emperor Nero the giosi Rebellion which I had never even heard of before uh Uprising against the Han Dynasty in China which is around 8062 uh the parthians invaded Armenia the Jewish Revolt of Judea Buddhism spreading the Coliseum in Rome was completed in 8080 after Philippines was written so it gives you some kind of world event context well and again that was all of this that you're seeing happened in 19 minutes and three seconds and so I can go go back and look at that then the Third and is what is the significance of specific geographical locations mentioned in Philippians now again the way that I have the prompts listed in this uh this this copy and paste is I have it written as insert book of the Bible here so you copy and paste it and replace that with whatever book you're studying or if it's something a question in here about a person then you put that so I've um so obviously for this example everything that I'm doing has to do with Philippians so I put in Philippians what is the significance of the geographical locations talk about Philippi talked about Rome talked about caesarea Philippi and I thought was interesting it uh um you know there's a city in Northern Israel doesn't even that it gives some context around some of the other cities and and again while while quick right is my favorite there are times and I didn't do it for this video because I didn't want this to be a three hour long video but uh but sometimes I'll have chat gbt and I'll have Bing and I'll have quick right those are my three favorite tools and I'll put the same prompt in and one of the things that uh chat GPT pointed out is that caesarea Philippi is not mentioned directly but is significant and blah blah and had some things in there so then Asia had had that in there so I like asking about geographical locations because there are things mentioned if you're reading the book of Acts and you can do some research on what were the major you know give me a paragraph about the different cities mentioned on Paul's second missionary journey now I guess that should have been you know a prompt 11 because that would actually be a really cool one to see what it kicks out uh but talking about geographical locations really really helpful when you're studying a book of the Bible and then some some general things just to kind of even get some ideas flowing about overview type of things I just like to put in what are the major themes of Philippians and what it came up with it just it just popped out five now one one thing that you can do to even customize this further is I just said what are the major themes of Philippians you could say give me 12 different themes in Philippians you can give specific numbers as well but for this I was just want to say because it's going to go through billions of pages of Internet information articles that have been written blog posts that it was written public domain books that are online and when I when you say the major themes it's going to say look at things that are repeated over and over and over again and so these major themes joy in Christ humility and service unity and cooperation faith and trust endurance and perseverance and with a sentence or two on each and if there is something that you want to dive into more deeply you could take that and let that Inspire yet another prompt to do this this research because again AI is not coming up kind of with its own interpretation of it as much as it's compiling billions of pieces if more than billions let's make up a number right Quadra millions of uh of pieces of information on on the web and it just blows me away what it can do so that's four another kind of in this kind of thinking through starting to think through some of the applications of things is I ask what you know identify 10 here's a time where I used a specific number identify 10 life lessons from the book of Philippians in the Bible again I copied and pasted these exactly the way that uh um that I I just did the move content to editor so I didn't edit this to make it say something whatever that it didn't this is exactly what it did so identify 10 life lessons Joy is not dependent on circumstances the more we trust God the more peace we'll have humility is important in relationships with others we should focus our thoughts on positive things prayer and Thanksgiving bring peace and contemption I mean and they gave me 10. right I could have said 20.
right could have said 15 I could have said five whatever it is but make that number whatever you want it to be but I think that asking kind of what are some of the life lessons just because because again it's going to look at what are when people have talked about life lessons from Philippians all over the Internet what are some of the things that they've that they've said other Pastor I mean think about the number of Christian bloggers and and public domain books and kind of research that have been written Church websites that just think of the quantity of information that have been written about life lessons and to be able to to get those some of those ideas and then here was another one that I do that um that I think there's value in doing this yourself I also think that one of the things that after you've done a little bit of work yourself then I think asking a tool like this to create an outline for you and and this is something that uh that you'll notice that it even created the Roman numeral one with the A and B and I could give it you know you could actually because it's a tool that you can give it as much detail in the prompt you could say create a multi-level or a three or four level outline detailing this with verse breakdowns and I mean you could give it as much detail as you want and this is kind of I do when I when you say create an outline then it's just creating kind of the general one at that point but just kind of giving you an idea of hey what I came up with again this is I almost I almost look at at this as a research tool and another voice in the conversation is if I was having a cup of coffee with a friend and we were talking about Philippians and we were comparing outlines I'm you I'm not saying oh your outline is right and mine is wrong I'm just looking at somebody else's view of it and uh and that can be really really helpful even just stirring Simone thought oh I wouldn't have broken it up there or I would have or oh I this would be cool to break it down differently so the next is looking at some of the people who are the people mentioned in the book of Philippians provide a paragraph about each person so you can make that prompt as detailed as you want to make it and in this there the the people that it pointed out were Paul Timothy epaphroditus ayudaya and centaki in chapter four and then the Philippians and and with a paragraph about about each person and then you could go in hey tell me more about epaphroditis right and and you could just kind of keep going and then move put that prompt in there then move that content to the editor copy and paste it I I because again while I sat down and I did all of this in one kind of 20 minute session uh you can if if you did three prompts and then you were actually studying it and you were looking at your Bible and all that and you can save the document and it's right there in your library next time you log in and then you do a couple more or you do one more and and you can format it right you can you can make this you you know if you want to make this bold and and you want this to be italicized and you know you you that's one of the beauties for me of quick right is that you've got all of um the formatting tools like you would in word or something like that and then when you save the document that's where it is uh it's it's it saves it exactly like that and then when you click this export export export this export content button it actually exports everything formatted the way that you have formatted in here as a Word document which that's another reason I love quick write is because of how much time it saves of it preformats a lot of things you can do some of the editing and formatting so everything looks and feels the way you want it and then you export it and it's already in a Word document maintaining all of that formatting and so that's one of the big challenges that with a lot of the AI tools is you've got a copy and paste and then reformat everything later and stuff so the move content to editor then editing it and exporting it just saves tons and tons of time all right three more that we're going to look at uh and then I want to show you something fun all right so this is another one that I like to do is what are the various inter describe the various interpretations of and I just took probably the most famous verse in Philippians describe the various interpretations of Philippians 4 13. you could use this for other sections of scripture if you've ever heard a pastor or an author or a blogger say different things about a part of Revelation or a part of Romans or something like that or Genesis you could say what are the various interpretations and then you can put in the scripture reference and it's not telling you what it means it's saying these are the various interpretations of it and so in here it talks it came up with five right and when I when I didn't give it guidance to what are the three main or what are ten different interpretations I just said described the various interpretations and so it talked about empowerment for difficult circumstances it talked about the Prosperity Gospel interpretation talked about self-empowerment contextual interpretation uh humble dependence on Christ and and then even even wrote another paragraph I didn't write this this is it said overall the interpretation of Philippians 4 13 depends on one's theological orientation the context of one's personal experience there the verse can Empower encourage challenge Believers to live a life that glorifies Christ and contributes to the advancement of the Kingdom I just think it's interesting that I ask it about this and it even puts another one in there there's almost this disclaimer of saying hey this kind of depends on your theological Outlook which it certainly does um in that so describe the various interpretations of can be a really helpful prompt and then number nine describe the cultural influences that are present in the book of Philippians describe the cultural influences that are present in the book of of Philippians and so talked about the Roman influence the Greek influence the Jewish influence the Christian influence and and gives a little bit of there so you could you could even put another prompt if you're like oh I want to know more you read this little paragraph or two sentences and and you put in the prompt again and say write 500 words about the Roman influence on the people in the church in Philippi right and it would come up with a longer answer uh for for that if that was all of a sudden it Peaks because that's what I find is when I go in here and I ask at some general prompts then it leads me to okay I want to do more specific research on that whether I'm going to some of my Bible study software or a different part A study Bible because sometimes it'll reference a different thing it dives into more encouraging me to study the Bible even more deeply and then uh and then a good idea a good one that you can ask that number 10 is how does Philippians fit into the overall gospel message found in the Bible and and it writes a four paragraph summary of hey here's how this fits in the book of Philippians is an integral part of the Bible's overall gospel message as it focuses on the theme of joy in the midst of Trials and challenges gospel message is rooted in the Life Death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in Philippians highlights the importance of Christ's work in the believer's life and goes on from there I won't read all the rest of it but those are 10 of my prompts but I wanted to give you one more that sometimes I think that it can just be fun to to to put some fun prompts in there to get creative and let the power of of AI compiling all this information in ways that we would never imagine uh to just come up with something to get us to think and so I want to actually read you here here is a prompt that I put in uh um oh you know what I I guess I put in I must have put in a level practical app Life Application uh yeah so okay two more one is uh I I just typed in practice I'm gonna put this on the screen so that you can see it better uh I I just added I'd forgotten that I had added a a a two more instead of one but I just I put in Practical uh life application from the Apostle Apostle letter to the Philippians and what I find is sometimes when I put in that practical life application from and I put in a chapter or I put in a parable or I put in a book of the Bible that it will come up with topics things that people have written on blog posts all that kind of stuff and it will trigger me to think about how I might want to pray through this are there some things in here that other people have come up with that that would make me you know go oh you know I should probably spend some time journaling that or you know these could be Journal prompts if you're a journaler they could be some prayer guidance to draw you into a conversation with god but it I didn't even give it a specific I just said practical Life Application and it came up with 20 different ones how to rejoice in the midst of Trials why trusting in Christ gives us inner peace developing a mindset of humility the power of unity in the church how to overcome anxiety and worry and um and where I put this just just so you know this practical Life Application what where I put this is I came over to this this power editor here and I selected blog writing and then went to brainstorm article ideas and then I put in Practical life application from the Apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians and and it came up with 20 different now again this is a this is primarily a tool created for writers to brainstorm and do research and come up with ideas so I thought okay well if I was going to write 20 blog posts about practical life application from the book of Philippians then or if I was going to write five I could do this research it would give me 20 and I could let that okay these could be combined this is really a part of this this one I don't really like at all and the or these five are really amazing but that that prompt and then I and then I went back to the the general power editor and I put in this right or and we'll end with this write a rhyming poem based on the key themes in the book of Philippians and I just wanted to see what it came up with I some again sometimes it comes up with corny things sometimes it's just funny sometimes it is amazing and so you judge for yourself I'm this is not edited I I deleted a couple commas that were placed in weird places but I literally have not changed a word of this this is the poem the rhyming poem it came up with when I put this in In Christ Alone we find our joy our hearts aflame no sin can destroy his grace abounds his love so pure Our Hope secure forever sure though troubles common trials we Face In Christ we find a steadfast Grace to press ahead toward the goal of Heaven's prize for every soul in humility we seek to serve with unity we can preserve the bond of Peace in Christ Our Lord no Discord Reigns when we're in accord and whatever our need may be we trust in God who sets us free for he alone is our supply his riches vast will never run dry so let us stand with hearts made new and Christ Alone our purpose true to live for him and spread his Fame until he comes in glorious rain no I'm not not saying I'm going to take a poem that was created by an AI tool and build my theology on it but it can get us thinking in different ways and that's part of what I wanted to show you and is is the power of it as well as the creativity of it as well as the inspiration of taking this that was compiled from so many different places put in a new way that causes me to think a little bit differently causes me to to pray more fully and uh and so I hope that you will I hope that you will check this out again I've got this tool for or this resource for you that I just want to give you that I looked at 10 I guess I did 12 because I had two bonuses there at the end but uh but I looked at 10 of the 95 that are in here and a lot of them are really I mean they're probably over a thousand because so many of them you can just put different books or different people's names and that in there but uh that this 95 will get you started I want you to just have that the link is below and there's also a link to Quick write if you wanted to try try that so again at the time of this uh recording it's 197 dollars for Lifetime access after June 15th of 2023 that goes up to 297 but if you just go straight to quickcrate.
