surprise that he keeps Birds of Prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator Bobby is addicted to attention and power Bobby prays on the desperation of parents of sick children vaccinating his own kids while building a following hypocritically discouraging other parents from vaccinating theirs Bobby continues to grandstand off my father's assassination and that of his own father it's incomprehensible to me that someone who was willing to exploit their own painful family tragedies for publicity would be put in charge of America's life and death situations I urge the Senate to reject his nomination now you
know this is what she doesn't say much you don't see her out and do it she does not say boo so I feel like if she felt the need to come out of her shell and say look this is not good I I hope they're going to listen but RFK of course hasn't responded to her letter and is in insisted that he's not antivaccine but will all those allegations make one damn bit of difference I don't think so why I also think right I don't think so because heg Seth the guy the last guy was
was questioned by Senator Tom Tillis he said that um his sister-in-law was convinced they told her to come forward and talk about the abuse that he uh created you can back me up on this um and uh he really nailed heg on the topic of abuse for them about women and he still voted for him yeah so it doesn't matter we're in a very bad situation in this country right now there's nobody in Congress that I'm watching who has the um how shall I put this the testicular required of the job and I'm frightened by
it frankly I mean I see this every day all of these people capitulating to Trump and his dictatorial needs and it it's just very very bad I think we're in a lot of trouble maybe we should change the testicular fortitude to like a a female alternative because the two PE Republicans who have opposed Trump nominations so far have been Lisa marowski and Susan Collins here's what I'll say I would not be surprised if RFK gets through but I'm going to be watching those two women and Senator Bill Cassidy who himself is a doctor as well
as Mitch McConnell who survived polio so he's somebody who feels strongly about vaccines and public health McConnell voted against he vote against headsets four is enough to sink him JD Vance can't break the tie but I also think Donald Trump was about RFK when he called him a radical leftwing lunatic that no Republican should vote for that was Donald Trump's take on him in the primary um listing off a number of conspiracy don't put him on us it's they say don't put him on us he's just a radical he we'll call him a radical lunatic
but um I think it's the hypocrisy for me of spreading this misinformation and these wrong facts about vaccines well allegedly vaccinating according to Caroline Kennedy his own family and I understand how hard it is to come out and publicly oppose somebody in your family that's that took a lot from her and she's somebody with credibility on the right and the left I could see this resonating um and finally I have been supportive of some of what RFK Jr has said about what's in our foods and needing to address all these additives all of these chemicals
that you don't have in Europe but I don't think he's the only person who can do that most Americans are coming around to that perspective so why not put in somebody that doesn't have the baggage that hasn't spread conspiracy theories who wants to tackle those things and happens to be credential to run Health and Human Service well you also have to when you mention that she doesn't come out and speak a lot Caroline Kennedy you always have to gut check in this day and age when you're watching something because there's always you know a different
source that says this I often say Let me watch it myself and see what I think it was so sincere thoughtful deliberate and hard for her to do this she goes on to talk about how he puts animals in blenders to feed his Birds of Prey now I know that's disgusting on its face but just pause for one moment while they will lie a liot yes to feed his his baby chicks and but the point here is think about the mentality of what it takes to physically do what you're asking that person to do and
stop there are stories about people that kill animals and what you need to lack to be able to do that the hypocrisy of vaccinating his own kids and keeping that on the DL while he does this and she also goes into saying his dorm room his bedroom in the basement everything has always been the party room where although he was able to overcome addiction he led many to addiction and some have died in his family so you look at the whole picture and then you ask yourself cuz I too agree with going back on big
Pharma and also removing things from our food but the cost is too great with him and that's what I hope people pay attention to and they don't fall in party lines because this man seems dangerous they they all do though they all seem dangerous to me that's that's sort of was my takeaway because look at the people that Donald Trump is putting into his cabinet you know the Republican Party talks a lot about de EI and how people that um are given opportunities lack uh the Merit and lack the qualifications his cabinet is the least
qualified cabinet that I've ever seen in my entire life and so he has nominated someone to be in charge of medicine basically and health in this country he doesn't hold a medical degree he is woefully unqualified apart from the fact that he has these character flaws I think what that certainly struck me but what also struck me was sort of the personal things she talked about it was a personal indictment for she's known him for over I don't know her her entire life and what she says uh to Sarah's point is that he has these
qualities personally that pose an even greater danger than his lack of qualifications I mean which says a lot that says so much and then she goes on to call him again a predator she says perverse for putting baby chicks and mice into a blender to feed his his prey and then finally he she says that he has cheated his entire way through life but there has been some right right of Center push back on this the Wall Street Journal editorial board said why RFK Jr is dangerous to Public Health and the New York Post editorial
board also said Senators should vote no on RFK because he's hazardous to our health well there's been a lot of push back on stuff just because of these kinds of things but I going to take us to a different place because uh there the new secretary uh house pre White House Press Secretary Carolyn levit uh she made her briefing room debut by sending a major online invitation uh and I'm supposed to say is this a step into the future of media so we'll finish this when I come back I have a correction [Music] so as
I was saying yesterday the new White House Press Secretary Carolyn levit gave her very first press conference where she announced that they're adding extra seats to the briefing room take a look it's essential to our team that we share president Trump's message everywhere and adapt this White House to the New Media landscape in 2025 this White House believes strongly in the First Amendment so it's why our team will work diligently to restore the Press passes of the 440 journalists whose passes were wrongly revoked by the previous administration we're also opening up this briefing room to
New Media voices who produce news related content and whose Outlet is not already represented by one of the seats in this room we welcome independent journalists podcasters social media influencers and content creators to apply for credentials to cover this White House this seat in the front of the room which is usually occupied by the press secretary staff will be called the New Media seat my team will review the applications and give credentials to New Media applicants who meet our criteria and pass United States secret service requirements to enter the White House complex all right what'
she say she basically said that she was they were going to give unqualified boring unqualified people podcast needs to apply for White House credentials they'd love having joy in that room I got a question so wait a second so in other words instead of Bob Woodward they want Kim Kardashian what I don't get it okay I I have a question which is why I was leading Us in this direction oh yeah I would like this young lady who's this is her first job I would like her to do a little homework because she said something
yesterday to really pissed me off and that was she said there will be no wokeness here oh yeah let me explain something to you because without that wokeness you might not have that job yeah because because women were not invited to that table women were not invited to many tables in this nation the reason we fought and busted our behinds to make sure that you didn't have to worry about this and now to hear you talk about it and to hear anybody talk about the wokeness the brokeness was put in place for a reason because
black people couldn't get into colleges because women could not get into the colleges they wanted to go to this is all women yeah see this is not black Asian this is all women women were not invited to this party it was a man's world and we busted our asses to make sure that this was a person's world so please please stop using that phrase you're talking about because you don't understand what you're saying you're saying about yourself that you know hey that's a terrible thing to be it's not a terrible thing to be that's why
we fought that's what we were fighting for so that you could stand in that Podium so that uh je Katherine jeaner could stand at that Podium so women of all kinds of colors and ilks wherever they came from whatever their belief system was they had the opportunity to bust down that door I just want by way I think probably been put in there because according to Donald Trump she's a 10 you know that's what it is I want to be clear though it's not her first job it was her first press briefing she work in
the previous whatever I'm saying this is the first time she been the she may be but my point is that job would not maybe have been open to her no I just want to clarify that um but on the issue of the New Media because I actually think this is kind of brilliant and I think future Democratic administrate white houses should do the same thing we're realizing this election how people consume media has drastically changed this was The Joe Rogan Theo vau Alex Cooper election it wasn't mainstream old school media that was driving people's interest
in what they were following in the stories they were and I think this is an acknowledgement that Trump realizes this this is a person who made his career in television what's to prevent those media influences from being only on his side well there will be Parsons but I think it was promising that they brought in axios which is mainstream but then they brought in Breitbart which is a right-wing Outlet and so some of the outlets that had their passes revoked when Biden came in were right of Center Outlets I don't have a problem with partisan
Outlets being there as long as it's representative of both sides and you have non-biased traditional media there as well and that it's fact driven how they cover it the problem that I have with it though is you know she's saying that these people that are going to apply will meet their criteria we understand that their criteria is woefully deficient and unserious I think that their real problem in this ction one of the real problems among me the many is the misinformation and disinformation that was disseminated on social media by these influencers and by these podcasters
why are they qualified to sit in front in in the White House briefing room and tell America what is going on with the country I traditionally to become a White House correspondent or to be in that briefing room you had to have a journalism degree you had to have qualifications so I guess the of mediocrity is here they're making a Snapchat equivalent to the New York Times no no but you guys are minimizing something really important here there was a time where there were three evening broadcasts for news everyone sat down around the TV and
they watched these three news outlets now you look at where people consume news 50 4% of American adults say they get news from social media a large majority of a large majority of us adults 86% say they get at least some of their information if you don't want Miss and disinformation which is inevitable obviously with this Administration but if you want to go directly to the source and have people receive it themselves and put it out to their audiences I'd rather have them in that room influencers are not just the Kardashians they're also the B
bne Browns you've got podcasts like pod Saves America they're people that only consume their news from other and I do there are a lot of Americans who do feel like the mainstream media got a lot wrong in recent years and while there are editorial standards I don't think that we can definitively say because you have this degree and you're with this Outlet you've never gotten news information wrong I I will say this I F I feel a lot better when I know there are standards people have to meet yeah of course and so qualifications you
can bring in you can bring in whoever you want it the the truth will the the proof will be in the pudding we can stand and say this is terrible but but so we GNA wait and see what happens and the minute it turns out to be statun television yeah or state run information or state run news because you know I I don't I I dis agree that people got stuff wrong people were I don't know what people were looking for because the people I talked to uh were not looking for the things that these
folks were looking for and now that they've got him are they getting what they want so that's just my just it's just my opinion but even on the media front we haven't got to this real quickly this week the the CIA came out and said that covid very likely came from a lab leak and the New York Times shut down coverage of that they wouldn't publish an oped by a senator from Arkansas Tom Cotton saying that this was a credential Theory at the time I was at DOD and that was openly discussed is a very
real possibility C there is a fact there is a fact that the media at times has gotten things wrong it isn't about whether they get it wrong or right it's what they do to correct it that's problem does matter well that's what that's what I'm saying that's what I want but it also matters that the CIA said that it was a low confidence report and that is why the New York Times which has standards didn't report on but that but withholding the information Al together and saying that it's not even a considered theory was what
the mistake was it's the mistake really is there's too much BS floating out there and now it's out of our hands there's no way to control it so now they're saying they're going to control it I want to see what they're going to do they're not I want to see who they're going to invite into this because quite honestly I like when we're held to standards I don't always like the way they do it but we have to we have to have ourselves together we can't just say stuff in spite of what they tell you
we can't just spout stuff so I want that for everybody and if they're going to guarantee that they're at the at the briefing they I'll be happy but we're going to be right [Applause] [Music] back the bachelor The Bachelor couple from season 25 Matt and Rachel broke up a couple of weeks ago Rachel just sat down with the call her daddy podcast to say she was blindsided by the split and she admits there were red flags all along the way take a look our third year of dating was when I started to just ask like
okay so where is this going and what would he say he seemed like he was is on the same page like that's why it's try not to cry okay us talking about taking the next steps all of that was fine but you know the actions obviously weren't there I was going to say like from my understanding obviously you spent four years together but you never lived together no so like that was another thing he said that he didn't want to live together until we were married and and he's a very religious man so I was
like that's okay I can do that looking back probably that was probably a red flag but I just tried to tell myself that it was okay so what can you relate to what she was saying which one Rachel yes I'm actually really sad cuz I thought this was one of the bachelor couples that was going to make it but I can relate that when and sorry I have a candy oh you're a whoop tell me doing anything about it you didn't check her for candy when you want a relationship when you want a relationship to
work you a women can be prone to overlooking red flags distract so one one thing I will say in trying to stay on topic here is that if you're with someone who doesn't say I'm sorry it doesn't matter if you're dating them if you're related to them if you're friends with them that is is a very toxic quality to never be able to say sorry what if you're not wrong never proving my point you know I I felt terrible for her watching that but you know I think when some because she she obviously is hurt
by and heartbroken but she said something that was interesting he told her that he worries about having her as a wife because there were some qualities about her that that were of concern including that quality and that she was very emotionally sort of unstable and so I think you know if someone is telling you you are not the person for me you are dodging a bullet because you're dodging yes but in her defense he was upset with her because after being jetlagged and on her period She cried when she picked a restaurant she didn't like
that's life wait till your wife's pregnant like we have to bear physiological things men will never have to and they need to be patient with this what your play is about my play is about this entire thing Flags my play my first ex-husband with her first preview is tonight yes I hope you'll come it's about women who get divorced because they walk into relationship invite Rachel maybe she'll see that this is a good thing maybe she'll be think it's a good I interviewed a bunch of women about it and they all tell me their stories

you you got to ask them see the thing is you know I invite my my children each each of my children can bring a friend with them because they get to play together there's somebody and and I'm responsible years old they're not they don't have jobs yet and and and they hang out with their friends and I don't expect their friends families to foot the bill for them that's you family we did this we brought in a high school my girlfriend across the country to San Diego but my mom because she was working and we
were struggling she talked to the family and the expectations were set they were contributing to the trip I think you just have to you have to be brave enough to have the conversation and it's not even Brave it's a lovely thing when someone invites but you have to make sure that you can actually do this that this is something that isn't going to at you backwards now I I'm I invite folks all the time to do stuff and I say I'm I'm taking care of this I'm going to do this because I do say that

say okay we're into this let's do it well thank you that's so nice I I think the story was a little different I fanned out over whoopy at a thing and I was like oh my God there's whoopy go over like the idea that you know my first uh actual acting solo was doing uh a happy day from Sister Act too really yeah so that my first it's photage of that somewhere I'm sure you can find it but I was in third grade and that was my so this is so surreal just like full circle
yeah so yo has been a like a gift like just playing the character that um I have people come up to me at ComicCon who I had a man who came to me who was 58 years old and he said thank you so much for the character and the work that you do and I was like oh my gosh thank you and he like you coming out in that episode gave me the freedom to finally be honest in his 50s in his 50s and this is a man who's a family man had a wife and
kids and something had been off on him and he was honest with his wife and was look I think that this is who I'm truly am and the wife was understanding and and has beautiful family who supports him but it was like you know don't know the power that a character can do and I've been fortunate enough to play a character that has changed a lot of lives so that's why representation matters that's why representation matters you know we've been talking about the Trump Administration cutting uh Dei initiatives cutting off the path to representation you've
been such a champion for representation um in Hollywood are you concerned about the impact that this Administration is going to have on that yes absolutely I feel that something's happening where we're are being thrown a lot of things at once and we're being um shocked and we're being desensitized and I think that's that's scary because eventually we start accepting another and another and another thing and eventually we are so desensitized that we don't see each other's humans and have compassion empathy for one another and I think that's a very dangerous place to be right now
and I think that we have to remind ourselves that we're humans and the reason that makes us different than anyone else is that we have empathy for one another so please keep that in mind as we go into this yeah speaking of that you know there's a lot of lot of news about the fires in Los Angeles and I understand that uh you have a house in Altadena which was big big bigly hit yes it was uh it was bad um I the night that the winds were 100 miles an hour I just had this
feeling of like something's happening because the fires were the Palisades and I live in Alena and I looked at my kitchen window and I was like what is that and that was a red flame wow just out my window just through the kitchen was like those are the mountains I usually see the mountains it's beautiful Elon is a beautiful city and I thought okay well I have to go and I was leaving to my uh neighbor he's 80 years old he didn't evacuate he was like I've been here 53 years Harvey I'm not going if
I were you I keep weding your house and I was like you're right he keep W the house with with the H yeah and so he had the brilliant idea I turned on my sprinklers I put uh those like little you know sprinklers that you when your little across I put them on the rooftop and I evacuated 3 hours later my ring camera went off and was balls of flame falling from the sky oh my god wow whated to what happened to the 8ye old he didn't evacuate he saved the the four houses in that
block that survived were all thanks to Ronald he saved our our little small little pool there because right behind my house all the way to the actual mountain is is just gone wow what about your neighbors and your family are they okay um you know I phys physically uh yes mentally you know this is going to take some time I think um going into this you know no one thought it would escalate so quickly and when it doesn't these are people's lives the reason I want to get a home in altina is because it was
one of the first communities to allow black and brown families to raise their families and to pass generational wealth that wasn't offered to us you know I'm a first generational homeowner in my family my parents came to America with a dream American Dream as we're all allowed to do to come to this country and you have a dream you are welcome you are allowed to have a dream and make that dream a reality yeah that's what we are entitled to yeah Harvey you're playing Eli in the new film companion which is it's getting fantastic reviews
the first trailer was perfect cuz you have no idea what to expect and the film itself is even more perfect um some people are calling it a horror film but others are call calling it a horror film a romantic Thriller with a side of murder I don't want to spoil too much but what can you tell us about it I think uh those are all great ways of putting it I'm more Curious to hear what your couple the person you're with thinks of this film when you exit cuz when I read the script there was
shock you know value to the way that some of these characters talk to their partners and I I never realize that sometime you see people paired off and you're like you talk to your wife like that you know and you talk to your husband like that and it whether it be the future where we do or may not involve robots or love Partners or whatnot how do you talk to a human being or other is is very telling of yourself and sometimes when people say oh there's this like epidemic of like male loneliness which is
a thing but also sometimes the mail has to stop and realize maybe I'm oh maybe I need to fix myself how the problem how you going to love someone else if you can't love yourself get it get [Applause] it love well speaking of of relationships love without giving too much away companion can make you definitely take a closer examination at your relationships and partners are you dating anyone at the moment no no I actually was dating someone and I was mad enough while was filming the movie and Lucas cage who plays my partner in the
movie we're both in relationships and we were talking about our relationship we're together we're so in love we brought that to the characters and then now we're both single and I was like do you think it was because we saw the red flag and I think it is you know unfortunately for me you know I was in a situation where I didn't know that time but like after finding out I was with someone who's a covert narcissist and I yeah so you don't want to believe that because you're like I love this person right and
as you may or may not know they mimic love you know so and I'm a big romantic so I was madly in love and then looking back I'm like wow I'm not the person that I was when I was filming that movie and I'm not the person I'm going to be tomorrow that I am today yeah so we all Evol we one day at a time or at least that's what they tell me they tell me it's one day to time day to day Harvey you just make this your stop anytime thank you you're doing
