to read the Manga or to watch the anime questions that fans have to ask themselves every time they get into a new IP do Lu for the ease in the comfort of an anime explaining the entire plot to you or you go for the raw uncut Thrill of the manga do you risk the anime possibly adapting the manga in a way you don't like or do you take the time to sit down and read all of the volumes of a manga you're interested in now while the most ardan fans will elect to do both that
is read the Manga and watch the anime 90 % of people either don't have the motivation or the time to do that with the stories they're interested in and with the longer a story gets I can guarantee you the amount of the fan base that has both read the Manga and watched the anime is even less than that 10% which is why in the Naruto fandom it's exceedingly rare that you find people that have both watched the anime and read the Manga because for all intended purposes the anime does a fantastic job of adapting the
manga so after you've watched the anime there really is no real reason to read the Manga is at least what I would tell the average enjoyer of Naruto but in actuality there is a lot of reasons to read the Manga and that's because there are actually a ton of differences between Naruto's anime adaptation and its original Source material now I'm not going to sit here and say that the Naruto anime is way worse than the manga because of these changes but after you've read Naruto's manga you'll realize that certain moments throughout Naruto have a different
meaning in the manga than they do in the anime certain characters like Sakura for example are incredibly different in the manga than they are in the anime with the public consensus around Sakura amongst manga readers being that she's a fine to Great Character and the public perception around Sakura amongst anime Watchers is that she's a fine to Awful character but once again asking a fandom to read a 700 chapter manga and then watch a 700 episode anime is a lot to ask so that's where I come in because today I want to illustrate to you
all of the content changes that were made between Naruto's manga and Naruto's anime you understand to the greatest degree the differences between these two adaptations of the same story because today we're talking Naruto's manga is way different from its anime but before we get to breaking down these key differences guys please for me like this video subscribe to the page and hit that noty Bell so today we're going to be focusing on plot and content changes not censorship if you want to hear about all the moments in which Naruto's anime censored its manga go back
and watch part one of this two-part series the changes we're going to be focusing on today are usually made to either accommodate filler arcs or to expand upon the story but on top of that there was also just a solid amount of changes made between the anime and the manga that don't have a huge amount of reasoning it's just the showrunners of Naruto believe that this would be a better adaptation of different events and characters and I don't always agree with them and today's video just like our censorship video was going to go over these
changes chronologically and thus with no further Ado let's get directly into our first change from Naruto's Monga to its anime the fact that the konoha 12 were introduced way earlier in the anime than they were in the manga see in Naruto episode 1 we are introduced to Sakura SAS and the members of Team 8 and team 10 so basically everybody in the konoha 12 except for 1010 Nei and Rock Lee now we're introduced to all of them this early on because in the anime adaptation of Naruto's manga the members of Team 8 and team 10
are actually Naruto's Shinobi Academy classmates that is not the case in the manga see in the manga not only are Sasuke and Sakura not introduced until chap 3 the members of Team 8 and team 10 aren't introduced until the beginning of the tuning exam Arc yeah team Kai and team oima aren't introduced until chapter 34 in the manga so all those moments of Hinata crushing on Naruto in the Shinobi Academy added they simply don't exist in the manga now this change was most likely made because they wanted us to have a connection to these characters
prior to the influx of Side characters that are introduced at the beginning of the tuning exams that is to say that the characters of Team 10 and Team 8 didn't want to get lost in the shuffle of all the new characters being injected into the story during the tuning exam Arc but that's not the only change that was made in the earliest parts of Naruto in chapter one of Naruto and Naruto breaks into the's residence to steal the scroll with all the Forbidden judu that he tries to learn out in the woods he's actually caught
by heroin however after using a sexy JSU he's able to bef heroin long enough to escape from his residence however maybe not to undermind heroin's strength or rely on sexi Jutsu in the first episode of the anime in the anime Naruto isn't caught by heroin but instead heroin sends ninja after him and after an episode two of Naruto heroin is exposed to Naruto's sexy Jutsu when he rejects his photo submission for his ninja registration card now those two changes make sense but not all of the changes make sense see because in the first chapter when
we see aruka get pin cushioned by mizaki kunai in the manga we see aruka pull the shuriken out of his back and discard it however in the anime after pulling this giant shuriken out of his back aruka throws it back at Miki now I don't know if this was to aruka look cooler in this moment or whether or not we just needed to see aruka fight back in some capacity this is one of those changes where I just think to myself why did that need to be changed another one of those changes is featured from
the third chapter of Naruto where in the third chapter of Naruto's manga while Naruto is preparing an attack against Sasuke so that he can transform into him and go convince Sakura to kiss him we see that Sasuke is eating outside of a window and Naruto is preparing his attack from inside of set window however in the case of the anime for some reason their positions are Ed with Sasuke eating inside and Naruto preparing his attack outside and once again for the life of me I couldn't tell you why they changed this on top of that
somewhat constantly the Naruto adaptation of the anime is always changing the weapons used between the manga and the anime because in the Land of Waves arc when Naruto gets a tingle that somebody's nearby and he throws to shuriken into a bush that nearly hit a white snow rabbit in the anime adaptation of this moment Naruto throws kunai instead a very similar thing happens in chapter 12 of of the manga when Zabuza kills Kumar toichi with a Tonto or a short blade but in the anime adaptation he uses a kunai now I'm going to assume in
these moments animating a kunai is just simply less expensive and easier to do as more likely than not they were able to just clip in kunai art or something like that because outside of that rationale I don't understand why everything would need to be replaced by a kunai I mean it's all weapons right but at the same time you start to wonder to yourself if you pick apart the differences between the manga and the anime to this high of a degree whether or not the anime showrunners just kind of being careless in their adaptation because
another difference between the anime and the manga that just doesn't really make any sense happens in chapter 29 of the manga see because when Zaba and Kakashi are facing off against each other for the first time and Kakashi's activating his shingon for the first time he pierces through the fog of Zaba and says the only future I see for you is death now in this moment in the manga to accentuate the fact that Kakashi is Awakening the first Shing God we've seen the only eye that Kakashi has open is his shingan eye however for some
reason in the anime he has both eyes open this is actually something you're going to hear a lot about over the course of all of these content changes because in the early part of Naruto's manga whenever Kakashi activated Des shingon he pretty much only ever kept his Shing gon eye open most likely because keeping both of his eyes open would kind of be a hindrance with one eye having Ultra sensitive perception and the other just being a regular eye and well I'm sure a lot of you have heard that in the manga the renan is
yellow but in the anime it's blue that is not the only incredibly important and widely used Jutsu that changed between the manga and the anime see because in the manga Chidori actually operates very differently from how it does in the anime see Chidori in the manga envelops the user's hand entirely in lightning well in the anime Chidori actually functions more like a rosenon encapsulating a ball of lightning in the user's hand now in this circumstance because of what I know about the Rasengan and the origins of the Chidori I have to say that the anime
got this right the Chidori was created when Kakashi tried to add lightning release to the Rasengan and thus it should function closer to a renan then like a hell stab but since we're talking about things that seemingly get used all of the time in Naruto's anime and manga let's chat about senbon because in a trend that you've absolutely identified up until this point if a unique weapon is ever used in the Naruto manga it's usually changed to something somewhat generic in the anime like in chapter 50 of Naruto's manga when anko was battling against the
rochim Maru anko unfurled three daggers into her hand and threw them at Orochi Mari now in the anime these daggers were changed into sbond most likely because it was simply easier to animate senbon as opposed to this new unique thing but enough about weapon swapping that's not all that interesting what is interesting is that in the manga 1010 and tomari's fight does not exist in fact in Naruto's manga because of how important Sakura and Eno's conversation about being Rivals and competing over Sasuke is 1010 and Tamar's fight exists as one panel in the background of
this conversation but in the anime in order to shine some light on 1010 or tamari most likely tamari Saker and Eno's conversation is actually shown to take place before this fight so that we can see 101 and Tamar's fight so yeah 1010 doesn't get nearly as embarrassed in the manga as she does in the anime but since we're talking about changes in the TuneIn exam matches in the manga kin suuchi the third member of the genning team from the hidden sound Village team doso in her match against Shikamaru only uses senbon with bells attached to
them to attack Shikamaru and that's literally it she just throws sen bond with bells attached to them however in the anime she actually attaches a genjutsu ability to these bells that allows for her to make the projection of multiple of H all throwing senbon at Shikamaru and this is kind of an interesting choice by the animators because sound based genjutsu is incredibly rare but somehow in part one Shikamaru comes up against two women who use it against him but only in the anime now after the tuning exams are over in chapter 90 of the manga
we see ebisu explaining to Naruto about Naruto's lack of chocolate control in konowa hospital before Kakashi leaves however for some reason in the anime this conversation takes place at ichiraku Ramen after Naruto fails a challenge proposed by ebisu now most likely this was done in order to stretch out the content that the manga had provided because the anime was getting closer and closer to the actual amount of chapters that the manga had released at this point and therefore they had to shoehorn in a little challenge between epu with Naruto to pad some runtime and it's
actually a trend that you're going to see more and more often from this point on because it was around this time that Naruto's anime was beginning to catch up with Naruto's manga another example of this is in chapter 91 of the manga Naruto and jiah's training actually starts at the konoa hot springs but in the anime Naruto tries to elude training with jariah by sending jariah through a series of antics that eventually ends up with both Naruto and jariah by a river where they start their training and once again this series of antics was a
way to pad runtime but not all of the changes between the anime and the manga were made to make the anime longer than the manga some changes were made to make the anime more fun than its original Source material see in chapter 92 when jarah training Naruto with the summoning technique he tries to get Naruto to drain all of his regular chakras so that when Naruto uses the summoning technique he relies on the chakra of kurarama and in order to drain all of Naruto's chakra in the manga all that Dua does is make Naruto continue
his water walking practice however in the anime adaptation of this scene Naruto makes a bunch of Shadow clones and they have a giant Battle Royale which is just a more fun way to accomplish the exact same thing and honestly the Naro anime show Runners took a lot of liberties with the manga because in chapter 105 Hayashi Huga who is Hinata's father and the older twin brother of nei's now deceased father hasashi Huga sits Nei down and tells him about the story of his father but for some reason in the anime adaptation he instead of telling
Nei about his father hands Nei a scroll written by his father about the story of his life now I don't know if this was done in order to dehumanize Hayashi Huga a little bit and further create that level of separation between the side family and the main branch family but if it was it accomplished what it was trying to do because Hayashi Huga telling Nei about his father is kind of a cool moment where we see the side branch family and the main branch family are related by blood and Hayashi Huga is nei's Uncle their
family and they're coming together in this moment this tense moment but still this moment but making Nei read about his own father's death written by his father keep set level of Separation there and I wish I could sit here and say all of this was intentional but sometimes the anime adaptation literally forgets how it adapted the manga because in chapter 103 of the manga after kabo Who currently disguised is finished healing Hinata he knocks out kba and akamaru during Naruto and nei's fight however in the anime he knocks out kba and akamaru during Sasuke and
G's fight and he does so because akamaru recognizes his scent even though Kabuto is in a disguise however when this scene is later shown in a flashback in Naruto shapin it's depicted as it's depicted in the manga that is say that Kabuto preemptively knocks out kba and nakamaru during Naruto and nei's fight so even the anime sometimes forgets how it adapted the manga originally but that can be forgiven because honestly the anime does a much better job at Aura farming than the manga could ever hope to see because in chapter 109 Sasuke and Kakashi show
up to the tuning exam's battle site shortly after shikamaru's battle had ended against Mari however in the anime possibly to extend the runtime but also maybe to just make Sasuke Kakashi look cooler the third hok allows for an extension that allows for Sasuke and Kakashi to be a little bit later and Sasuke and Kakashi arrive just as genma is about to cancel their match against gar but this does lead to one of the coldest moment in anime dubbing history when genma asks Sasuke his name and while I know we've talked a lot about the idea
that weapons from Naruto's manga are actually made a whole lot more plain in the anime usually in chapter 120 of the manga when the sword of kusanagi was revealed from orochimaru's throat in the manga the kusagi is depicted as a relatively standard Katana while in the anime it's actually depicted as a double-edged xon making it look not only different from a lot of the swords that we've already seen in the Naruto anime but also just like a unique blade onto its own a blade deserving of the title of the sword of kusanagi but unfortunately we
can't give the Naruto showrunners too much credit here because immediately after the sord of kusanagi is revealed heroin uses the Adamantite staff that he's holding which is made from Monkey King enma's transformation to Ram into Orochimaru which Orochimaru blocks with the blade of kusanagi and as Hein is ramming into orochimaru's Blade with his Monkey King enma Staff we see that enma partially ret transforms into his monkey form with just his head sticking out of the end of the staff and enma goes to bite Orochimaru in this form showing the true versatility of this Monkey King
enma's Staff combo however for some reason maybe animation constraints this scene is completely cut from the anime unless a lot of anime only Watchers don't know that Monkey King andma can both be monkey and staff at the same time but that is not all that's changed about this fight between Orochimaru and hiroin we see in the mango when Orochimaru brings out hashirama tobirama and possibly Mino we see that hashirama and tobirama have a Litany of incredibly powerful judu that they use in combat against heroin and in the anime hashirama does something that we never see
from hashirama which is using again Jutsu against heroin and more specifically hashirama uses the bringer of Darkness technique a technique that plunges heres in into basically blindness but maybe because the anime showrunners wanted hasrama to represent all things light in the world as the original Reincarnation of OA and the First Hokage and thus they decided that rather Toby Rama should be the person to use this Jutsu against heroin and as Toyama is a much more morally gray character than hashirama this was an interesting choice and since we're talking about changes from the anime that would
align the story of the anime more with what the manga would later become did you know that when Naruto and gamabunta used their transformation combination Jutsu in the battle against shukaku in the manga they actually just turn into a giant Fox with one tail instead of Kurama yeah in the manga they don't turn into Kurama but in the anime they do and that is a massively important change and another massively important change is that in the manga jiah's a pickpocket yeah in chapter 150 after Jia hits a man by the name of gun tetsu with
a Rasen gun after knocking him out with said Rasen gun he steal steals his wallet however in the anime gantetsu gives the wallet to Jah out of respect on top of this did you know after Naruto and Jah are successful in finding Tsunade in the manga not only doady Naruto and jiah all return to the Village together but also when this group returns back to konowa they see Shikamaru and shikaku shikamaru's father at which point Naruto brags to Shikamaru that he's going to show him the new move that he just learned at which point daa
slaps him on the head and tells him that a ninja doesn't reveal their tricks this scene is skipped entirely in the anime because in the anime Jah stays at the hot springs instead of going back to konoa with tsunan and Naruto but since talking about changes that revolve around Tsunade in the manga Shikamaru was not promoted to chuning by tunate in fact Shikamaru is promoted to chuning before tunate even makes her way to the village and thus when Jah tady and Naruto return back to the Village Shikamaru has been promoted to the level of chuning
however because of a couple Filler episodes that occur between this moment and Tsunade taking up charge is the fifth hok most importantly the land of tea escort mission in the anime it's not until tuna is elected Hokage that we see her inform chikaru that he's been promoted to chuning so as to who promoted Shikamaru to be a chuning in the manga we don't really know maybe the elders there was no Hokage to do so and that's kind of the weird thing about adapting an anime this long not only was the anime adapting these manga chapters
that had come out months if not years ago and therefore they knew it was happening currently in the story but they also had a much better idea of the direction that the anime was going which is why sometimes the anime will depict characters who started off bad but eventually made their way to good as better in the beginning of their story than the manga did and while the anime also tried to soften the blow of some of the evil things that evil characters who would eventually end up as good characters did like in chapter 145
when Sasuke has a flashback to the night of the uiha clan Massacre and in this flashback as Sasuke's about to open the door to his parents' room his dying father fugaku tells him to not open the door however in the anime Sask only hears his parents' bodies hitting the floor and fugaku doesn't say anything and well neither of these scenarios are great hearing your dying father's last words being don't open the door Sasuke is more traumatic than just hearing your parents die and thus this was either done to make Itachi seem like less of an
evil figure or to possibly water down just how traumatizing this moment would be for Sasuke sometimes it seems as though the anime show Runners are trying to set up story lines that didn't end up working out like in chapter 178 see in the Manga Sakura takes Naruto to a park bench I believe the same park bench that we see are Dr Sasuke and eventually the version of Sasuke that Naruto had transformed into much much earlier in the story to talk to him one about Sasuke leaving and two about Sasuke's curse mark something that Naruto was
relatively in the dark about however in the anime for some reason or another instead of this conversation happening on a park bench sakur accepts a dinner date with Naruto to ichiraku Ramen where she tells him the exact same thing and I don't know if they were trying to build up the idea of a possible romance between Sakura and Naruto here or if they didn't want to draw connections back to that park bench and the conversations that Sakura had had with Sasuke there but for all intensed purposes to to me at least having that conversation at
that bench feels like it holds more weight and this is kind of a trend that you're going to see sometimes the Naruto adaptation of the anime is a bit weird about character relationships like in chapter 182 when the team of genning is being slapped together for the Sasuke retrieval Arc Rock Le overhears the conversation between Shikamaru Naruto and the rest and recommends Nei as an addition to the team because of how much Lee respects his power and this is kind of a cool show of respect between rockle and Nei who have buted heads for the
entirety of part one of Naruto but rather in the anime for some reason the Sasuke retrieval team bumps into to rocki and Nei on their way out of the village and thus Nei is kind of caught up in the plan without the recommendation from Lee which I think takes a relatively important moment away from Lee and nei's relationship and that's kind of the thing sometimes the Naruto showrunners were just winging it they just wanted certain moments to not be the certain moments that they are in the manga because it didn't fit their narrative like in
chapter 200 of the manga when keba is forced to save akamaru from an explosive tag laid by sakon because after akamaru accidentally sets it off he trips however in the anime akamaru has to be saved by Ki here because sakan uses wire to bind akamaru so that akamaru can't escape the blast now I believe this is possibly being done to make akamaru seem more competent as a partner to kba or maybe to make sakan seem like a greater threat but akamaru at this moment is a puppy it would make sense that he would make mistakes
that would put keba in disadvantageous situations and I believe that speaks more to the inuzuka ability to raise these dogs up and keep them alive and go through these puppy phases with hopes that one day these dog dogs grow up into big strong wolves but after the end of the Sasuke retrieval Arc things got real messy between the anime and the Monga at this point in time the anime had basically caught up with the manga which is why the last Almost what 100 episodes of part one of Naruto are filler but in chapter 237 of
the manga after Naruto comes back from the Valley of the end we see that Kakashi goes to the memorial stone to talk to Obito however this relatively brief scene is completely cut from the anime and used in a later episode as the contents of chapter 237 of Naruto are then spread over the course of 80 plus episodes of filler but that doesn't mean that all of the late game decisions made in part one of Naruto's anime were for the worst see in Naruto chapter 238 Nei suggests to Hinata that she should go see Naruto off
as he's going to trained with daia for a couple of years and in the anime he makes this suggestion to her while sparring with her showing growth in their relationship and the respect that they have for each other however in the manga Nei is sparring with Hayashi which is Hinata's father on top of this the conversation between Nei and Hinata is much longer and also keba and Shino are there however rather interestingly this scene was used in the beginning of the mizaki tracking Arc which was a filler Arc and thus there was an iteration of
this conversation used and injected into the anime where Nei was training with Hinata and recommended that Hinata go visit Naruto and then a more faithful adaptation of the manga was used at the beginning of a filler Arch yeah the end of part one of Naruto is kind of a mess but there are a lot more changes in part two than there is in part one so buckle up because quite literally just seven chapters later when Naruto returns to konowa with jiah the first person that he reencounters upon coming back to konowa is Kakashi however for
some reason in the anime it's Sakura and Konohamaru also in the manga Naruto encounters Shikamaru and tamari walking through the streets presumably on a date of sorts but in the anime he bumps into them in tsunade's office maybe to bury the lead that they were together at this point I don't know and as the W Kakashi was canned as the first person to see Naruto after his return to konowa once again I don't know but the changes don't stop there because in chapter 265 hio also known as saucer favorite puppet was introduced in the true
sense and it was explained that hio was just a normal puppet however in the anime in order to build on saucer story it was explained that Hiro was sauer's favorite puppet because hio was a human puppet of his best friend which is a cool way to expound on saucery story but a big change to a pretty crucial part of his character and a lot of the things surrounding the akatski and part two of Naruto were kind of hazy because during the Kaz KAG rescue Arc there's all the standard members of the akatski present trying to
pull shukaku out of gar except there's one member of the akatski who's in unknown never given a name a backstory or even really a face every other member of the yatsky is accounted for and then there's just this one mystery guy now in the anime that mystery guy is replaced with Hedon but it raises the question who was that supposed to be originally and does that mean that Hedon was the last member of the akatski to be thought of but I guess technically Kishimoto had a fair amount of time to build out the idea of
hdon because the first aoty members that play played an important role of part two of Naruto were saucery and dat and rather interestingly in the battle between saucery Grano and Sakura when Grano busted out apparently the greatest puppets ever made in the chikamatsu collection to battle against the 300 puppets of saucery the battle is actually much more evenly matched in the anime that it is in the manga because in the manga it's established rather clearly that none of the puppets of the chikamatsu collection are ever destroyed while in the anime four out of the 10
puppets are destroyed and I think this is done to paint the idea that the battle between saucery and Granny Che was much more even than some people believe but since they're talking about socer a punching people in chapter 347 when K ham uses the sexy technique on the new iteration of Team seven which is Sai Sakura Naruto and yam and shows the image of Sasuke topping Sai Sakura punches him in the head for doing it however in the anime Mei punches him in the head for doing it now I don't know if this was done
in order to make Sakura not seem like she was abusing children or to build the relationship between Moi and kotamu but either are good reasons to change it but those are all incredibly in important changes made between the anime in the manga something that is very important that was changed for no real reason is the fact that during chapter 367 of Naruto Sasuke has his first encounter with Itachi an important note here is that this happens while dry is infiltrating the hidden rain however in the anime Itachi and Sasuke don't butt heads until jariah is
dead possibly because the anime wanted to space out the time between Itachi and jiah's death and give hey more time to be founded but it's a really big shift and speaking of big shifts that surround Sasuke in the manga Naruto finds out about jia's death way sooner than he does in the anime in fact he learns about jia's death right before Sasuke is assigned to capture Killer B however in the anime because of the whole pyin and utakata filler Arc in the anime Naruto doesn't learn about jah's death until before the pain Arc so he
spends way more time in the dark about his sensei's death in the anime than he does in the manga on top of that because of that six Tales Arc in the anime utakata is actually captured way later by the akatski than he is in the manga utakata is already dead and gone by the time the akatski and taka joined together however because they needed some filler and wanted to use the six Tales Unleashed AR udata isn't caught by the akatski and taka until after their Alliance so the changes surrounding Nago and the akatski don't stop
there as chapter 157 of shapin which might ring some bells for those Keen eyed enjoyers of the Naruto anime also known as the beginning of the pain assault on konowa looks a bit different in the anime than it does in the manga see when Nago launches his invasion of konowal the animal path at the beginning of the assault summons one centipede in the manga that centipede is eventually defeated by Sakura but in the anime the animal path actually summons three centipedes one defeated by Sakura one defeated by Shikamaru and one never shown again on top
of this in the same episode episode 157 in the manga Kakashi saves aruka from one of the pain bodies at which point aruka informs Sakura that pain is invading The Village however in the anime aruka bumps into Sakura before his encounter with one of the pain bodies and therefore just tells Sakura that the village is being invaded but not by who as to why this change was made I can't say maybe to not make aruka look we weak and needing to be saved by the likes of Kakashi but I don't really know but a little
bit deeper into the pain assault when we're focusing on Konohamaru we see that Konohamaru uses a Rasengan against one of the bodies of the Six Paths of pain and at this point they we get a flashback of Naruto teaching Kono hamu the Rena now rather interestingly for some reason the telling of this story is different between the manga and the anime in the manga Naruto teaches Konohamaru the ra sengan before the time skip but in the anime he teaches it to him after the time skip as to why the switch was made I can only
assume that they didn't want to show k hamu mastering the renan that much younger than Naruto but I don't know it feels like a weird thing to switch but if there's one thing that's changed between the manga in the anime as it revolves around the pain Arc it's Hinata fighting the deop paath see because in the manga Hinata doesn't worry about trying to free Naruto from their strengths that the devpath has driven into Naruto's legs and hands he now just decides I'm going to box this devpath and runs straight at him on top of this
the fight between Hinata and the devop paath is much longer in the anime than it is in the manga as a devop paath is shown needing to block and door Dodge several of hinatas attacks before he yeets her away in the manga he just yeets her away after the pain assault is done we get the iconic battle between Sasuke and danzo and in this scene possibly in a bid to make Sasuke seem less brutal which is kind of crazy when you consider the context behind what's going on in this fight in chapter 477 we see
that Sasuke lands a massive slash on danzo's chest and cuts off his right arm the right arm which has all of the shingon that danzo is using for Ean Nagi however in the anime episode where this scene is extended we see that Garuda Sasuke's Hawk cuts off danzo's arm but like a lot about this fight has changed between the manga and the anime like the manga literally has Sasuke juicing danzo with his susano and all the blood Rains Down on Sasuke the anime basically cut all of that so maybe this was just a bid to
make Sasuke seem less violent and gory but like the whole fight revolves around Sasuke killing a dude like 20 times but it's not just modern characters who have their stories reshaped by the anime as cushion a story especially the most important parts are very different in the anime than they are in the manga see in episode 246 we get the backstory of kushna and Mino and in this episode the anime talks a whole lot about how kushna was an outsider inside of konowa they talk about how she migrated there and how when she was kidnapped
she doubted anybody would come to save her because she was an outsider in konowa however this isn't the case in the manga not only is there basically no talking points about kushna immigrating to konowa and being an outsider in konowa the second the Kush is kidnapped by the ninja from the hidden Cloud a search party is sent out for her it just so happens that Mino is more perceptive and faster than the search party that was sent out and the two tellings of these events paint kush's upbringing in very different lights kushna in the manga
is a heavily valued asset while in the anime she seems like some kind of throwaway on top of this in chapter 503 when the night of Naruto's birth is being described in full detail in the manga we see when hiroin uses the Adamantite staff to push Kurama out of the village that his teammates Hamra and koharu the two elders and toru who is the a Clan had prior to chosa were present with him and supporting him in this endeavor to save the Village from Kurama however in the anime possibly to make the elders look as
evil as possible none of them are present with Heroin on that night and as this is basically the only positive thing we ever see the elders do this is a pretty notable change and honestly the later we got interest Putin the more the egregious the change is between the manga and the anime got see because in chapter 507 when we're getting the backstory of Kisame and how he came to realize that the Hidden Mist was not a place built on Truth we see that kisami is eating with the cipher pole people that he's supposed to
be protecting and while he's eating with these Cipher division members they're attacked by konoa and Dei but before Kona can get to any of the cipher division members Kisame kills them all at once however in the anime we see that Kisame tries to defend the members of the cipher Division and only Cuts them down when they're put in compromising situations and the difference between these two tellings of the same events is massive the anime telling pains kisami is somebody who didn't want to kill these members of The Cypher division somebody who had way more empathy
in his heart than the manga telling of kisame's backstory and this was most likely done to pay Kisame in a more sympathetic light maybe because people really liked him as a character but knowing both of these stories drastically changes the public perception of who Kisame was and the morals that he espoused about on top of that if you want to dive into the nitty-gritty of the differences between the anime and the manga a lot of the characters that show up in the fourth great Shinobi World War shouldn't have been there see in episode 261 genning
like moery from the hidden Sand Village were shown participating in the fourth great Shinobi World War however none of these genning are shown in the manga mostly because genning wouldn't be allowed to participate in the war that's why Kono hamaru is not there and thus there existence in the war kind of flies in the face of the idea the sentiments that all of the Hidden Villages were founded on top of all this when the fourth great Shinobi World War rolled around sometimes the anime adaptation got a bit sloppy see when Paka The Scorch release user
who was able to mummify people with a Simple Touch attacks the Shinobi Alliance after being brought back to life and the Manga she attacks ajon from both Ewa and konowa however over the course of their tideo battle one of the konowa joning turns into a joning from Ewa on top of this for some reason gari the explosion release user who's brought back to life during the fourth gr Shinobi world war is promoted from a member of the explosion Corps in the manga to the captain of the explosion Corps in the anime maybe to heighten the
circumstances in the threat of gar on the battlefields but who knows but while some characters were getting upgraded in the anime some characters were getting downgraded see Asimo who was brought back during the fourth grade shoby World War like gari and Paka identified that his students in team 10 were on the battlefields long before they face off against each other in fact the second that team 10 started facing off against King Kaku Oso realized that they were on the battlefield however in the anime the scene is admitted alt together maybe to make the reuniting between
team 10 and ASA feel as though this is the first time they realize that each other were on this battlefield on top of that in the anime kabo decided to bring all of his reincarnated soldiers back to him to possibly rest for a part of the night in this long battle however in the manga there's no indication that Kabuto ever told any of his soldiers to stop fighting and the adaptation just gets a bit sloppier from there like in episode 321 where there is four changes made between the anime adaptation and the manga see in
chapter 558 Naruto attacks two white zetsu who are disguised as iwwa Shinobi and he does so with Tai jutu at least in the anime however in the manga he uses his Jutsu spiraling serial spheres which is basically just two-handed rosenon on top of this a little bit later in the episode when Kakashi is battling against Fuki the previous wielder samehada before Kisame with the Executioner blade we see in the manga that Kakashi is able to slice through fuguki torso with the Executioner blade by applying lightning release to it however in the anime he just uses
the Executioner sword no lightning release which not only makes Kakashi seem a lot stronger than he already is but also makes him seem like he doesn't know how to apply Ninjutsu in Practical situations on top of this in chapter 559 a fight between the Dao protection Squad which includes people like genma and black zetsu is shown but in the anime it's omitted on top of this the same episode pakra gari and mongu are all shown fighting alongside fuguki against the third division before retreating into the forest after fuguki is sealed well in the manga they're
never shown and they're actually only mentioned by Rock Lee as the final three that are remaining after this in episode 329 when Naruto was meeting all the tailed beasts in the manga because Naruto really hadn't met any of the tailed beasts outside of gyuki K and shukaku all the tailed beast outside of gyuki kma and shukaku give Naruto very cordial very regular hello but because in the anime Naruto had had a relationship with utakata and isobu from two different filler archs isobu and utakata regard him in a different way than they do in the manga
and if Episode 321 having four changes between the anime and the manga seems like a lot wait until I tell you about episode 364 which has five changes though a lot of them are much more minimal those changes include Asuna Shinobi having an argument with a member of the Intelligence Division about whether or not the HQ that was serving as the brain of the Shinobi Alliance should be evacuated prior to the 10 Tails tailed beast bomb hitting it and other the Shinobi from the hidden Cloud praising the hca's battle prowess on the battlefield the Shinobi
of the Shinobi Alliance defending themselves from the onslaught of wooden spikes from the T tales with Earth release and Fire release and Naruto throwing five Ross and shurikens at five of the T Tales tails and each one of those Ross and shurikens disables one of those taals in the manga Naruto only throws three and the Ross and shuriken explode in the air which only stops the wooden spikes but the most important change which is rather surprisingly made is that in the Manga Sakura is saved from the 10 tales Rampage by Kakashi however in a surprisingly
woke moment from the anime Sakura saves herself instead of being saved by Kakashi a change I think we can all get behind but since we're talking about Kakashi in Kakashi's battle against Obito which takes place in chapter 636 one of the most important parts of that battle is that the battle is very closely mirroring a battle that Kakashi and opito had while they were kids and in both of these battles Obito attempts to use the great Fireball technique using Kakashi's hand however in the manga telling of this moment Obito is actually unable to in the
previous iteration of their fight to pull off this great Fireball technique with only a couple wisps of flame leaving his mouth however in the anime's telling of this previous fight he fires a great Fireball technique like he does in the current iteration of their battle which to me feels like a bad change having Obito pull out this incredibly difficult and Technical move while he was a child fighting against Kakashi kind of eradicates the whole idea that Obito was this mess up who Kakashi had to protect and if you guys thought episode 36 4 had a
lot of changes with five wait until I tell you about the seven changes of episode 476 while Sasuke is monologuing about his interpretation of the Hokage we see Sasuke catch and crush a Floating Leaf in order to indicate his current separation from konoa as it currently exists that is to say it's supposed to symbolize destroying the current leaf that scene does not exist in the manga but it is a really good scene so I'm happy it was added on top of that in chapter 694 which is interpreted in episode 476 both Naruto and reflects on
conversations that they've individually had with Itachi and these moments are either completely admitted by the anime or shown later in the anime rather interestingly on top of that in the manga when Naruto is explaining to Sasuke all the things that he's learned over the years that he's been chasing after and multiple characters from Naruto's past are shown behind him in the manga however for some reason in the anime these characters are omitted which is weird because the entire conversation point between Naruto and Sasuke is that Naruto has been able to find Friends Along his journey
while Sasuke has been actively rejecting them and Naruto and Sasuke's second fight at the valley believe the end is actually largely anime only in the manga the fight between Naruto and Sasuke starts with them clashing arms on top of hashirama's Statue however in the anime the two of them run down Mo and hashirama statues as they flash through parts of their lives and everything up until Naruto blocks Sasuke's great Fireball with the chakra arm is actually anime original and there's a couple of other changes but they're hardly worth mentioning the next big change that we
see is in episode 479 see in the manga after the conclusion of the fourth great Shinobi World War a funeral is held for Nei and Nei alone however in the anime that funeral is extended to all of the people who died during the fourth great Shinobi World War like shikaku and enoi on top of that in episode 479 we see that Sasuke is imprisoned in a konoa jail before he's pardoned by Kakashi and released however in the manga Sasuke doesn't spend a singular minute in jail in fact Kakashi tells Sasuke that he is pardoned and
therefore doesn't have to be imprisoned so maybe the anime wanted to give Sasuke a bit more accountability and wildly enough the final chapter of Naruto is never adapted into Naruto's anime with instead Naruto ending with an adaptation of Kono aeden the perfect day for a wedding where Naruto and heata get married but in actuality chapter 700 of Naruto the last chapter of Naruto isn't adapted into the Naruto Universe until boruto with the chapter of Naruto becoming Hokage is very Loosely adapted to start off the story of boruto and I will never not find that interesting
and perplexing like just do another episode look I get it you wanted shipin to be exactly 500 episodes long but show Naruto becoming Hokage and with that that is every single content change that happens between the Naruto manga and the Naruto anime did any of these Catch You by surprise do you feel different about the anime or the manga now after hearing these tell me in the comments below and while you guys are down there please for me like this video subscribe to the page and hit that noty Bell woo that was a doy of
