Now, Garcelle and I have the pleasure of announcing the results tonight, of course, including the winner who's going to be crowned Miss USA 2024. But right now, let's meet our expert judges who've already had to make very tough decisions to get us to the top 20, and will continue to do so throughout the night. >> Okay, she made history as the first black woman to win Miss USA in 1990, Carol Gess, the gorgeous.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> The founder of the global cosmetics empire, Anastasia Beverly Hills, it's Anastasia Soares. >> [APPLAUSE] >> The number one female motivational speaker in the world, top podcast host, and best selling author, Natasha Graciano. >> [APPLAUSE] >> She is the managing partner at APL.

We don't know how you can crown only one, but in the end, it's your important task to do so, so good luck. >> Now, it is not just the judges' opinions that matter tonight. We've also got fabulous commentators right in the middle of the action.
Let's check in with Miss USA 2022, Morgan Romano and renowned beauty expert, influencer, and past Miss USA judge, our friend Patrick Starr. >> [APPLAUSE] >> Thank you, Kelsey and Garcelle. That's right, girls, I was a judge last year.
And as a former judge, I just have to tell you, you both look so sunny tonight. It's giving beauty overload. And I'm so happy to be back at Miss USA, and this year, me and my queen get to dish on everything going down.
Morgan, you have experienced all things Miss USA. Is this bringing memories back? >> Well, Patrick, in the words of Celine Dion, it's all coming back to me now.
>> Okay. >> The audience, the lights, the music, it's making me nervous. I think I'm more nervous for the girls than they are.
Coming up, the swimwear competition. Then our finalists go from 20 to 10. Will your favorites make the cut?
Find out when Miss USA 2024 continues. [MUSIC] >> Welcome back to Miss USA 2024. Now the top 20 are about to hit the stage in their swimwear.
And this round is crucial because it determines the 10 moving on in the competition. >> And we're backstage with our girls right now and we love them so much. But first, let's take a look at the big week our contestants had.
They worked extremely hard, but they also got to soak up the sun and see the sights of beautiful Southern California. [MUSIC] >> Everyone had a very memorable week and it continues now by showing off the perfect dress code for this hot LA summer. And if you wanna play along at home and be one of our judges, what you're looking for is confidence, confidence, confidence.
Featuring designs by Heat Swimwear, please welcome our top 20 to the Miss USA Swimwear Competition. [MUSIC] >> Massachusetts. [MUSIC] >> Virginia.

[MUSIC] >> Kentucky. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Hawaii. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Oklahoma.
[MUSIC] >> South Carolina. [MUSIC] >> Kansas. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Tennessee.

[MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Colorado. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Illinois. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Iowa.
[MUSIC] >> Let's give it up one more time for our top 20, who all look absolutely amazing in their swimwear. Morgan and Patrick, these ladies are killing it. >> They totally are, an amazing job by the top 20, and everyone looks flawless.
I really don't know how the judges are gonna narrow this group of goddesses down. >> Based on the judges' scores from this competition, only ten contestants will move on. Those women will then compete in the evening wear competition.
>> Joining us is Savannah Genkiewicz, Miss USA 2023. My queen, you are taking your last walk later tonight as Miss USA. So how are you feeling?
>> I'm feeling so excited. I love being on stage. There's something about it that's empowering.
And I can't wait to show you my gown, my final walk out. >> Well, we can't wait to see it. So Savannah, at this point in the competition when I competed, I think this is when I completely blacked out.
So how do you think the girls are feeling after the swimwear competition? >> Honestly, same here. I was in La La Land, and until I heard Hawaii, I was like, wait, that's me.
But all these girls are just doing amazing. They're all so beautiful, and they should just be so proud of themselves. >> Well, it's gonna be hard.
Which ten contestants will move on? We'll find out when Miss USA Live on The CW continues. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Welcome back.
Now we're at Miss USA, the beloved tradition for our contestants to celebrate their roots with their fan favorite costume competition. Each costume showcases the unique and cultural of their state. It's all about teaching everyone what it's known for.
>> And I love our costumes tonight. We're looking so cute, Garcelle. And I love this part because I love seeing how creative everyone gets, the intricate headpieces, the beautiful designs, and how everyone goes all out.
Let's check out this year's fantastic state costumes. [MUSIC] >> Okay, we just witnessed the top 20 heat up the stage in their swimwear. And now the judges' scores are in.
In our hands are the names of the ten contestants. Moving on. Ladies, are you ready?
>> Woo, okay, here we go. Moving into the top ten is. [MUSIC] Texas.
[MUSIC] Next into the top ten is. [MUSIC] Kentucky. [MUSIC] Filling the next spot is.
[MUSIC] Ohio. [MUSIC] Also joining the top ten is. [MUSIC] Hawaii.
[MUSIC] One step closer to the crown is. [MUSIC] Oklahoma. [MUSIC] Vying to be the next Miss USA is.
[MUSIC] Colorado. [MUSIC] All right, four more spots left. Our next finalist in the top ten is.
[MUSIC] Virginia. [MUSIC] Earning one of the three spots left is. [MUSIC] Michigan.
[MUSIC] Also scoring a slot in the top ten is. [MUSIC] Massachusetts. [MUSIC] And finishing off the top ten, our last finalist is.
[MUSIC] Tennessee. [MUSIC] Please give another round of applause for our top ten. You ladies are moving on to evening gown and that big competition.
And congratulations to all of our contestants tonight. Great job. We are getting closer and closer to crowning Miss USA.
Patrick Morgan, the night just got even more exciting. >> Kelsey, you're so right. I am so excited for these finalists and even more excited to see their gowns.
And the mad dash to change into their dress is just about to begin. >> Straight ahead, it's all about elegance. Get ready for the evening gown portion of the night when Miss USA 2024 continues live on the CW.
[MUSIC] >> Welcome back everybody. Tonight we are crowning Miss USA 2024. Backstage we just came from there, it is pandemonium, in a good way.
Because our top ten only have a few minutes to get ready for the evening gown competition. >> And I can't wait for that. But before our top ten grace the stage, let's hear from some of our former Miss USA's about their experience.
>> I entered the world of pageantry because not only do I love glamour, but I also love being able to be of service and a lending hand. And to me that is the definition of pageantry. >> I entered the world of pageantry, that was a complete surprise, because my high school friends had sent in my application.
It was on a night of a school dance, I said, well, I wanna go to the dance. My mom says, well, if they sent it in, at least you can do a show up. Boy, I'm sure glad I had the right friends.
>> [LAUGH] >> I entered the world of pageantry because I wanted to put an end to the persistent urging of a friend of mine to enter. And I'm glad I made the decision. It's been life enhancing and life changing.
>> My biggest challenge when competing was definitely speaking. And so when I went to Miss USA, that was my main goal. And I ended up winning best in interview.
And I'll never forget that feeling of feeling so proud of myself. >> My biggest challenge was trying to keep the crown on my head. It was very heavy, it was very lopsided.
So I had to walk down the runway trying to balance the crown. And it slipped off and I grabbed it before it hit the floor. >> The biggest challenge that I encountered during my competing year, I had limited resources.
In fact, every stitch of clothing that I had at Miss USA was borrowed from my boss's wife. >> The amount of opportunities that I've had through the Miss USA organization is honestly countless. I've been able to travel to DC and meet our senators and our congressmen.
And I went to Guatemala and traveled with the Smile Train. And it has just completely changed my life. >> I've had the opportunity to work with Boys and Girls Clubs of America, which I loved.
But also working with local groups in my area, like the Rhonda Walker Foundation where we mentor girls to women, peer excellence, and working with the state of Michigan and foster teens. [MUSIC] >> We love hearing from past winners and contestants. And we actually have an amazing past winner with us tonight.
Please say hello to Miss USA 1953, Myrna Hansen. You are so gorgeous. You are such an inspiration, Myrna.
Thank you so much for being here. [APPLAUSE] >> The iconic Miss USA Evening Gown Competition is just around the corner. Let's go over to Morgan and Patrick.
>> Thank you, Garcelle. Right now, our top ten are getting final touches for their big moment. Remember, we go down to only five contestants after this round.
So these women really have to bring it in order to win it. >> Next up, the Evening Gown Competition. Then a big elimination to determine the top five and the final question.
Plus, we'll crown the new Miss USA. We are live on the CW, so don't go anywhere and stay with us. [MUSIC] >> Welcome back.
Tonight we are crowning the new Miss USA 2024. And this is where our contestants' unique personalities really shine, because this is where they pick their own gown and it gets to show who they really are. >> Yes, and the stakes are higher than ever.
This is our top ten's chance to make a lasting impression, because the judges will pick only five to move on. So let's see their personalities shine right now. Please welcome our top ten to the Miss USA Evening Gown Competition.
[MUSIC] >> Texas. [MUSIC] >> Kentucky. [MUSIC] >> Ohio.
[MUSIC] >> Hawaii. [MUSIC] >> Oklahoma. [MUSIC] >> Colorado.
[MUSIC] >> Virginia. [MUSIC] >> Michigan. [MUSIC] >> Massachusetts.
[MUSIC] >> Tennessee. [MUSIC] >> Give some love to the top ten. [APPLAUSE] >> Let's go over to Patrick and Morgan.
[MUSIC] >> From head to toe, perfection. For me, I always think that makeup is a one size fits all, and all the contestants proved that great makeup is inclusive and for everyone. I'm totally blown away, Morgan.
What are your thoughts? >> I am so proud of all of these girls. They looked so incredible.
And one of my favorite things about the evening gown competition is that these girls get to show their own personal style. And some of them go timeless and classic, and then some of them go trendy. And speaking of trends, Patrick, what are some beauty and style trends that you saw on that stage?
>> That everyone had makeup, cuz that's what I love the most is makeup and beauty. >> We love a full beat. >> I know, that's right.
Well, a major cut down is on its way, and we're about to find out who made it to the final five when Miss USA 2024 return. [MUSIC] >> Welcome back to Miss USA 2024. And as you can tell, Garcelle and I have changed into our big moment gowns.
>> Yes, they get to wear gowns, we get to wear gowns. >> Yes, and so we started with 51 amazing contestants. And after our heated preliminary competition, we revealed the top 20 who hit the stage earlier tonight with swimwear.
>> And based on the judges scores, we revealed the top 10 minutes ago. They dazzled us with their evening gowns. >> Yes, they did.
And ladies, the time has come. We have tallied the judges scores and in our hands are the names of our final five. Are you all ready to see who's moving on?
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Here we go, the first finalist is. [MUSIC] >> Go Tennessee! [MUSIC] >> Michigan!
[MUSIC] >> Moving one step closer to the crown is. [MUSIC] >> Kentucky! [APPLAUSE] >> Three spots left, the next finalist is.
[MUSIC] >> Tennessee! [APPLAUSE] >> Graduating to the final five is. [MUSIC] >> Oklahoma!
[APPLAUSE] >> This is it, the last of the final five is. [MUSIC] >> Ohio! [APPLAUSE] >> Please give it up for your final five Miss USA finalists.
Congratulations everyone. And while we celebrate, let's go over to Morgan and Patrick. >> Thank you Kelsey.
Coming up, the part that keeps every contestant on her toes. Now Patrick, how would you do if you had to answer a complex question live on national television? >> Girl, you're literally asking me a complex question live on national television right now and it's making me nervous.
>> Yeah, imagine how the girls feel. Well, let's see how that final five do when Miss USA 2024 continues. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO] >> We're back live at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Now tonight we are crowning Miss USA 2024. And if you're just joining us, this is a very pivotal moment. We just found out the final five contestants.
>> We sure did and now it is final question time. This is the round where these accomplished women get to show us how quickly they can think on their feet. After the question, they have only 30 seconds to formulate their response and answer and when the time is up, they'll hear this.
[SOUND] >> All right, just hearing that makes my heart jump actually. >> Honestly, my heart is jumping. I don't know how you ladies are staying.
>> I don't know how they're doing either. The other contestants are wearing headphones and cannot hear the question or the answers. Each contestant will be asked the same question so the judges will be able to determine who came up with the best, most thought out answer.
Now the way they answer the question could change everything. Here we go. Please welcome our first contestant, Michigan.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Come on down, Michigan. >> Okay, Michigan, you look beautiful. Here is your question.
How can we bridge the gap between different cultures and foster understanding and respect? As the daughter of a migrant worker, a proud Afro-Latina woman, and an officer in the United States Army, I am living the American dream. If there's anything that my life and my mother have taught me, it's that your circumstances never define your destiny.
That you can make success accessible through demanding excellence, my personal model. As a data scientist at Stanford University and a multicultural scholarship program at Hennessey, if there's anything it's taught me is that success is accessible and through chasing your dreams you can break down barriers and break a launch pad for where you're gonna go. >> [APPLAUSE] >> Thank you, Michigan.
It's your time now, Miss Kentucky. >> All right, Kentucky, come on over. Here is your question.
How can we bridge the gap between different cultures and foster understanding and respect? >> I think education is really important. We just need to educate people on different cultures.
And then that way people will know a lot more. And just having it be accessible, the information to people, that's really important when people are finding that information. Because that can sometimes be a barrier, finding the information out there.
So just providing accessible information and making it ready for people to do. >> [APPLAUSE] >> Thank you, Kentucky, great job. Please welcome Tennessee.
>> Hi, Tennessee, here is your question. How can we bridge the gap between different cultures and foster understanding and respect? >> I think our generation needs to listen to each other.
Through listening to each other, we can find respect for one another. Right now on social media, I'm listening to those that follow my platform on Miss Tennessee, and I want to bridge that gap by continuing to listen to them as your next Miss USA. Thank you.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Thank you, Tennessee. Please bring out Oklahoma. >> Hello, Oklahoma, here is your question.
How can we bridge the gap between different cultures and foster understanding and respect? >> Absolutely. Well, first off, as an operations director of a $6 million coffee house operation across the state of Oklahoma, I work with people from all different cultures.
Whether it's young, elder, black, white, it doesn't matter. I work with so many different people with so many different beliefs and so many different purposes. But what's important is that we're all here to achieve the same mission.
And once you know that you can achieve the same mission, we can get behind each other and continue to support and give each other respect as Americans. >> Thank you. >> Thank you, Oklahoma.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Please bring out Ohio. >> Okay, Ohio, here is your question. How can we bridge the gap between different cultures and foster understanding and respect?
>> I'm so blessed to have come from Dayton, Ohio, where it's very diverse. And I've been taught respect and a love for diversity. And I think the most important thing is to understand that there's so much more that brings us together than keeps us apart.
As Miss Ohio USA, I've definitely fostered an area where I can show people that pain is something that we all go through and we can make it through those challenges. And that's something that brings us all together. >> [APPLAUSE] >> Thank you, Ohio.
Give it up for our final five. Great job, everybody. Judges, it is all up to you now.
So let's go over to Patrick and Morgan. >> Wow, I can't believe how brilliant and composed those ladies are. I would be a nervous wreck.
But I think they absolutely killed it. >> They really did. I am dying to know, how much you have answered that question, Patrick?
>> World peace. >> Ten, ten, ten, ten's across the board. >> Well, Morgan, are there certain questions that contestants hope to get asked in something like this?
>> Well, these girls do so much work in their communities. They have so many passions. So I think they really want a question where they're able to showcase that.
But I know a question you would want to be asked. What is your favorite beauty product? >> Girl, I got this one.
Lipstick, setting powder, eyelashes, maybe a waterproof setting spray to make your makeup last under water. >> So kind of just everything? >> Everything, girl.
>> Well, coming up, they get to strut their stuff with their final look. And if it sounds dramatic, that's because it is. There's a lot more to come when Miss USA returns.
[MUSIC] >> Welcome back, everyone, we are so close to revealing Miss USA 2024. And this has been a momentous week, not just for our contestants tonight, but for the 51 women competing for Miss Teen USA. >> That's right, their thrilling competition was held this past Thursday, and also aired live on the CW.
After impressing the judges with active wear, her evening gown, and her final question, it's an honor to present to you, Miss Teen USA 2024, Addie Carver. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Congratulations, Addie, we are so impressed by you. I have to know, what has this experience been like for you?
>> It has been such a whirlwind of emotions, and honestly such a dream come true whenever I was crowned. A couple of nights ago, I really just feel like any one of the 51 delegates competing would have been an amazing Miss Teen USA. So getting to represent my class this year is just gonna be so much fun, I can't wait.
>> Okay, take us back to the moment. You're waiting, you hear your name, the crown goes on your head. What is going through your mind?
>> I mean, it was just so surreal. I have worked so hard for a very long time to be Miss Teen USA, and I cannot believe that a small town girl like me from Mississippi is in this role. But I can't wait to make everybody proud and meet everyone this year.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> What are you looking forward to most during this reign? >> I cannot wait to grow my personal organization, Dance to Empower, and really put an emphasis on bringing the joy of dance to every single person that I come into contact with this year with. And also continue to grow our partnerships with our charitable alliances here at Miss USA, which are Best Buddies and Smop Train.
>> Addy, we are so excited for you, and congratulations one more time on being crowned Miss Teen USA 2024. >> Thank you. >> Addy!
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Now, our top five contestants are gracing the stage one last time with their final look. Let's get to it. [MUSIC] >> Please welcome for her final look, Michigan.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Winning the title of Miss USA would mean that I would have the opportunity to show that if you can see me, you can be me. As the daughter of a migrant worker, a proud Afro-Latina woman, a data scientist at Stanford University, and an officer in the United States Army, I want to show that through demanding excellence, success is accessible. [MUSIC] >> [APPLAUSE] >> Next up, Kentucky.
[MUSIC] >> The work that I do with non-profit dance programs and as a dance educator has allowed me to inspire others and help them pursue their dreams in the same way that has been done for me. Being Miss USA means that I'll get to be a catalyst in making so many more kids' dreams come true in the same way that my people have done for me. What a privilege that will be.
[MUSIC] >> Expressing her final look, Tennessee. [MUSIC] >> Winning Miss USA means I found my yes. My initiative, Find Your Yes, is fueled by hearing so many no's my entire life because of how I look and being too tall for so many industries.
But hearing yes from the Miss USA organization would just mean the world. [MUSIC] >> Our fourth finalist, Oklahoma. [APPLAUSE] >> Miss USA would mean more than a title.
It would embody the spirit of rising up to the challenges that we face and encouraging others to embrace discomfort, train their mind, and choose to rise up because with resilience, the universe is limitless. [MUSIC] >> And now with her final look, Ohio. [APPLAUSE] >> Winning the title of Miss USA would mean continuing my message of hope and inspiration.
When my sister unexpectedly passed away two years ago, I didn't see a way through that pain and grief. That's why I started my initiative 518 for Life to honor my sister's memory. With the title of Miss USA, I can continue that message of hope to all people.
[MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Make some noise for our final five. >> [APPLAUSE] >> They have definitely done their part and now all they have to do is wait for the judges big decision. [MUSIC] >> Coming up, the moment we've all been waiting for.
We are minutes away from crowning Miss USA 2024 on the CW. Stay with us. [MUSIC] >> Welcome back, we are moments away from crowning Miss USA 2024.
And that special woman definitely has amazing opportunities ahead for her. >> And you can just ask our current Miss USA, Savannah Gankiewicz, before she takes her final walk. Let's take a look at her reign as Miss USA 2023.
[MUSIC] >> I accepted the crown this far into the year because I wanted to be a lending hand to the class of 2024 and beyond, and to continue the legacy of Miss Teen USA, and Miss USA, and show the teen delegates and Miss delegates that they too can shoot for the stars and follow their dreams. My goal for the reign was to shed light on my home island of Maui. It's been almost a year since the wildfires, and I wanna let everyone know that Hawaii is open, Maui is open, and we welcome you with Aloha spirit.
>> And she is with us right now, give it up for your current Miss USA, Savannah Gankiewicz, welcome Savannah. >> Hi. >> First of all, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, in every way.
What has this time meant to you as Miss USA? >> It's meant everything to me. I think I can say I've had the most unique reign in history.
But to me, it was all about connecting with the delegates. I feel like I have sister queens, not only class of 2023, but also class of 2024. They've really just welcomed me, and I'm just so grateful for this opportunity.
>> I love it, you're a sweetheart. >> You're amazing. Savannah, it's time for your final walk as Miss USA 2023.
>> Take it away. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] >> Beautiful. >> Savannah, you're so gorgeous and graceful and thank you for your time as Miss USA.
Wow. >> Wow. >> All right, now the esteemed title of Miss USA not only bestows honors and prestiges upon the crowned queen, but also open doors to a world filled with extraordinary privileges and opportunities.
From an impressive annual salary to a luxurious apartment in vibrant Miami, along with a luxury vehicle and a host of other exciting prizes. The life of Miss USA is truly a glamorous affair. >> And speaking of opportunities, we have news about two of our delegates that nobody in all of Miss USA world knows about until right now.
We are excited to announce that two delegates will be joining renowned designer Sherri Hill at New York Fashion Week this year. And the two delegates chosen are Miss Louisiana and Miss Nevada. Congratulations ladies, see you in New York.
And before we get to the winner, we want to thank our amazing judges. Carol Gist, Anastasia Suarez, Natasha Graziano, NJ Falk, Good as Gold Sheena Shay, Lou Parker, and Jojo Briggs. And of course our amazing commentators, the iconic Patrick Starr and Morgan Romano.
>> [APPLAUSE] >> Okay, now the judges decision has been delivered and in my hands are the results of the winner. It will be revealed after the break, stay right here to find out who leaves here wearing the crown. [MUSIC] We, representing the States of The United States in the Miss USA pageant.
- In order to further the cause of peace, justice, and mutual understanding. - Do solemnly dedicate ourselves to the highest ideal of sportsmanship, friendship, and goodwill among all the people of the United States. - Welcome back.
This night has been unbelievable and it's about to get even better. All right, guys, we have completed the round and the judges have spoken. It's time to crown Miss USA 2024.
- Yes, it certainly is. And first I just wanna say, I'm such a big fan of this woman here, Garcelle. She flew all night to be with us here on Miss USA.
It's been awesome. Hanging out with you. - It's been an honor hanging out with you.
- We are girls, girls. Everyone on this stage is a girls girl and it's so amazing to watch women be not only beautiful, but incredibly smart at the same time. You can be both.
