in the past year I transformed my life in so many ways for the better and many of you watch me do it in real time on YouTube for example I uploaded my first video exactly a year ago and now I'm at over 300,000 subscribers during this time period I also got a glow up where I cleared up my skin I lost at least 30 lbs my health improved drastically and financially I went from collecting unemployment to making six figures at the end of the year during this time I also did a ton of rebranding that
was when I set myself down and asked who do I want to be eventually and how do I become that person right now my channel is all about the personal self-improvement journey by the way like And subscribe if you're on that same path but yeah a year ago I decided to invest in my life completely and grow as much as I can as a person and see what that would lead me and if I can help even one person that would make everything even more worth it so if you're on that same path figure out
who you want to be and what it would take to get you there if you don't have the time or energy to make this happen you are going to need to find it this is a requirement I don't want to work for other people anymore at the time because people and corporations did not care about me as an individual but only for what I can do for them so since I had some time in my hands from not having a job I started that YouTube channel uploaded my first video I only got like 50 views
at the beginning but I was so happy because that's 49 more people than I expected to reach I keep expectations extremely low because this is a new skill to me by the way I had no experience in it but I knew exactly what my strategy was going to be I was going to provide as much value as possible because all of the energy and value that I give to people who I want to speak to it will all come back to me eventually the answer to this transformation is so simple this is an energetic exchange
and I fully believe that the amount of energy that I put into anything will always come back to me and so it did there were a few major lessons I also learned during this time number one you have no problems in life until you make it a problem because me knowing nothing can be a problem to some people but it wasn't a problem to me I also learned that your words create an entire universe of you so you need to be very careful how you talk to yourself and how you talk about yourself this is
also when I realize why certain doors close for me and why the certain doors open for me the right doors will not open for you until you are the version of yourself that's supposed to walk through that door that makes total sense to me now this is also why you have to let go of certain situations and even people in your life that you're no longer aligned with especially if you're not aligned with the person that you're meant to become because better things cannot enter your life if you don't make room for it first so
the first thing that I did was to let go of whatever was comfortable to me and do the hard thing and the hard things that I did completely change my life and from now on I will always be choosing the uncomfortable because the life upgrade far outweighs the amount of work that I put in for it and if you want to work towards any new outcome work on creating safety nets around your life because you can't grow if you don't feel safe period it's masso's hierarchy of needs we need to figure out how to get
out of survival mode starting with basic needs like food and water and then safety feeling love and belonging and you don't necessarily have to look outside for it the most consistent form of love and belonging is the one that you feel from within the one that you build up for yourself so that nobody can take that away from you and the same goes for our self-esteem we need to build all of these things internally before we can finally get to self-actualization where people go for their full potential this is what self-improvement is all about and
you never want to look outside externally for these things with other people with environments with your dream jobs with situations because those things can be taken from you any time so for me it was starting with all these basic but super essential things because I need to feel my best before I even have the capacity to start thinking about anything else I made sure I was eating very healthy food started drinking enough water at least one to three liters of water every day so then if everything else is falling apart then at least I am
relatively healthy that's the best and honestly the only foundation to build any anything on top of and then for everything else other improvements in your life what you want to work on start creating a framework for it using something like a productivity app for example a framework is essentially a structure of ideas or system that you can use as a guide for getting things done I read somewhere that just by creating good solid systems and sticking to it you will be better off than most people and then to be better than 99% T of people
we need to focus on doing the things that most people don't do consistently that means things like sof Improvement being disciplined and mastering new skills some of you guys might be like oh we all know this duh which is very true but very few of you actually do it very few like one out of a 100 people and if you want to be that one out of 100 you have to build that framework that will help you function as your best possible self so in order to get ahead of 99% of people you need to
nail your systems I use a tool like clickup which is the sponsor of today's video my brain is a complete mess without having a place where I can have all my thoughts and my projects organized and there is simply no way that I can remember a thousand things I want to do or run my daily or weekly errands or even plan for anything that I have coming up without getting it all down into a good system and as someone who now runs my own business I rely on my systems day in and day out clickup
is the everything app that you use to get anything done whether it's work projects or even use it as the psychic to your brain also known as your second brain when you have everything that you need to organize your projects accessible in one single place you're more likely to be happy motivated and productive this is also one of the best project management tools that I have used everything is organized into different spaces which will contain your projects so Within These spaces you can break down all of the projects that you want to work on into
tasks and todos attach documents track progress using different views like tables calendars and my personal favorite combine boards this is where I can see the status of my projects what is due and even set my priorities with different color codes what you want to do when you have a new project that you want to work on like creating a new website for example you can write down everything that you want to do as task then you can customize it with adding due dates priorities comments or customize any sort of new fields that you want to
add if you want quick status updates you can even ask click UPS AI there's anything overdue find out what your biggest priorities are or even to find any items that you've been procrastinating on obviously there are no good systems without a goal in mind and clickup makes it really easy for you to set goals break them down into more measurable targets and then track realtime progress if there's anything that you want to collaborate on you can easily do that within the platform by inviting other people to your spaces you can set up chats within specific
projects and even collaborating on whiteboards there are hundreds of ready to use templates you can get inspiration from and clickup has lots of Integrations including with Google Suite slack Discord Dropbox and so many more let clickup help you get more done than $99 % of people go to tr click up.co and use my code May to get started for free if you love clickup my code will also give you 20% off if you decide to upgrade thank you to clickup for sponsoring this video having discomfort also means that you are improving once I was able
to feel safe through creating these Frameworks for myself these safety nets within this framework I also started mapping out things like the new me what my Rebrand looks like and the things I'm going to do to acheve achieve that to me this is the most exciting part so who is the new me what would she do on a typical day or even the typical week I wrote everything down all of it even if it's fantasy or dulu write it down and then I thought about everything that I'm hurting from all of my feelings of not
being good enough or lacking or even thoughts and feelings of like am I embarrassing myself doing this how do I resolve all of these feelings remember what I said about how nothing is a problem unless you make it a problem so instead of making everything my problem or someone else's problem I came up with Solutions instead problems don't solve anything problems are like a manifestation of your fears so I mapped out all this stuff on my productivity boards and that's how I figure out what my Solutions are because I'm able to visualize everything better and
I can identify gaps I need to fill I also learned to prioritize things like delay gratification over instantaneous gratification that means you choose the uncomfortable option every time you feel uncomfortable in any situational struggle that means you are improving and you are learning no risk no reward so if you're putting the effort into something you will always come out of it wiser because you would have learned something or you have gotten exactly what you want or even better it's winwin no matter what I truly believe no effort will ever go to waste unless you say
so it is all about your perspective you also need to give yourself time to cook but if you're hungry cook with whatever you have I filmed my first YouTube videos on my GoPro and a microphone that I found in the hallway of my apartment building and I was happy you know like wow after 2 months 200 people watch my video anyway a few months after that that same first video I posted started getting traction and now it's at around 70,000 views but you see it took time to cook and that was my very first YouTube
video that I made and you should always include this letting things cook in your expectations of anything everything that's worthwhile it's going to take some time of not seeing some returns at first anyway I stopped using that GoPro and my after like my first three videos and use my iPhone camera for a while but I think it wasn't even until I got to 100,000 subscribers I bought myself a proper camera to film my videos the type of gear and production that you have it really doesn't matter at the beginning even when it comes to things
like lighting like right now I'm in Miami I'm in my hotel room and I'm using direct sunlight and it looks amazing literally start with whatever you have I mean I'm only a year in and my production skills are a little bit better but I think my growth is more so a testament of my delivery and the value that I'm providing that is my unique strength and you will have yours too the world doesn't need more of anyone else doesn't need more of me but it definitely needs more of you in my personal opinion focusing on
the right things will also get you more returns it's like the stock market right one stock can get you 300% return on investment and another stock will give you maybe 5% or it might even tank or something but there's a lesson in it every time that means if you pick the 5% stock or the stock that loses you money then you will learn to pick the 300% % stock next time I know it's extra tough when you feel like you need everything to be perfect before you actually take that first step but if you're just
starting something new you also have no skills and you have no experience so how can you ever be perfect or even great if you do it that way you would make things even more difficult for yourself I wouldn't even consider my very first YouTube video as amazing or great but it was good it was good enough the key is to learning to trust the process and stop waiting for that perfect moment because that day is never going to come for you you the trick is to move past all of that resistance when you feel it
and you keep pushing and affirming to yourself there's nothing you can't accomplish there's nobody who can do it like you and that you will always figure it out always and if it feels like you're climbing Mount Everest then try breaking hard things down into tiny easy tasks and keep your expectation of these tiny tasks extremely low so you're setting yourself up for Success that way you're constantly rewarding your brain with thoughts of how successful and amazing you are and that's how you can train your mind to push through one easy tiny step at a time
and here's the other thing right you need to forget about all of your circumstances forget about it people will find comfort in the things that you're familiar with even if it's miserable there are people who will Define your entire life by the things that happen to them so for these people life is so out of control all the time it's always some drama it's always someone else's fault someone else did that someone else ruined my life that's something that I used to say like my family is like this so now it's genetically passed on to
me whatever no break that chain if you want to gain control over your life you need to take accountability and be honest with yourself like okay maybe life sucks maybe terrible things have happened to you but what can you do about that now you might get to the point where you're just so tired of feeling bad and focusing on the past all the time that now you would do anything to get that better life so that's when you switch to thinking about what you can do now your present moment and that's the hunger that I
want you to cultivate forget about blaming everything forget about all of that in this process of building yourself up by focusing on yourself now you'll also eventually learn to Value yourself so much more and that will be so rewarding to you in the long run and giving into all of these negative thoughts created by circumstance and coping with it by creating all this feedback loop that is the easy way out and some people will never get out of it but you can break that cycle you're here because you don't want to take the easy way
and continue the way things are right I mean I hope so I took accountability for my life and I saturated not just my mind but my life with my new idea of success the idea is that the more I affirm that my future self is me right now the more it has a presence in my life which makes complete sense if you're listening to tapes of positive affirmations saying things like you're amazing you are successful then you're going to spend a whole day thinking about those things if I listen to affirmations for 5 hours that's
literally 20% of my day I sometimes listen to these air and subliminals even when I'm sleeping and the goal is to have all of these become so dominant in your life that your success is inevitable and by the way if you want to know where I get all these tracks from subliminals affirmations meditations hypnosis all of this stuff you can go into my linkoln bio I have it right there and this is important because I will be honest with you my default selft talk does not sound pretty I won't even say out loud to you
because it's actually so mean and that's my default so every time that I glow down in life it's because I let these thoughts get to me I need to force myself every time to replace every negative thought with something positive and for the longest time this was not second nature but eventually it became second nature every time you do this you're going to improve and like I mentioned I also use these other methods like listening to hypnosis and subliminals that targets your subconscious mind saturating the subconscious mind basically bypasses that top layer of your brain
which is the conscious mind your daily thoughts your Primal instincts all the stuff that you got to do for the day all of that goes straight to your inner thoughts things like who you think you are everything that you've ever experienced all the memories that you forgot about and everything that you're capable of in order to keep targeting my subconscious mind I would be looking at my productivity apps my planners my vision boards constantly that way if I'm focused on all of that it made my current reality not matter because of all I see is
how successful that I can be despite the circumstances like at the time I was jobless I was building myself worth I wasn't quite where I am today and all of that is a nice way of putting it honestly all of that saturation that I was giving myself made my circumstances not matter at all my reality was saturated by thoughts of light and positivity and success over time that changed me it really did I think that the default in very human thought process is survival mode so people think about the worst case scenario and they prepare
for it but I am personally so against constantly thinking about the worst thing that they can happen to you because your mind would then be saturated with the worst scenarios and I have seen what that does to people it ages you it stresses you out so fast and these are not happy thoughts and those people are not happy people if that's you honestly cut it out the biggest reason why people fail to reach their goals every time is because they are not consistent it's not because they don't have the talent or they lack willpower or
motivation success isn't about doing everything once or doing everything correctly it's about doing the right things consistently even if you have to fail a bunch of times even if you're bad at it you will always see some kind of result if you are consistent you will always get better every time I truly believe this because life really does get better if you keep working on it you got to understand that the Universe rewards movement and hates stagnation the only real constant in life is change that means if you stay at the same place you're literally
going to be resisting the current and making things difficult for yourself and this creates a lot of resentment resentment for yourself resentment for your surroundings resentment for people this is also why stagnant bodies of water turns toxic isn't that crazy even nature is saying the same thing to you the greatest thing that you can do for yourself is to keep growing it's the only real way to live in all areas of your life business friendships locations and if you have a relationship you better make sure that your partner grows with you in all areas of
your life as well and is moving in the same trajectory and not stagnant because if not then one of you is going to leave the other person behind eventually and that is the harsh truth you got to make sure that they're at least trying to put in the effort to catch up and grow with otherwise they're going to drag you down and every time you work on something you are getting better at it compared to if you don't even try that time is going to pass you anyway so you might as well just do it
it doesn't even have to feel hard remember what I said about how nothing is a problem unless you make it a problem none of it is hard if you break everything down into super tiny steps and be kind to yourself and don't overwhelm yourself start with one small thing at a time that you want to change and don't tell anyone about it until you're ready to because there's something about telling people when you're new at something that's so discouraging and the act of telling people something makes your brain think that you've already done it so
you're satisfied so stop talking about it and just prove it with your actions the satisfaction that you get from making progress and getting more control over your life is way more rewarding than just talking about how you're going to do something and then the one thing that's even greater than consistency is flexibility life is unpredictable as a default we all know that that this is why there can be no perfect day this is why there's no perfect strategy something will always happen along the line and learning to Pivot when something doesn't work anymore we'll make
sure that you keep getting better and better if you're in a maze for example and you run into a dead end you got a back track and think about what other options you have the same goes with your life if something is extremely difficult for no reason no matter what you do what else can you do that will make reaching your goals even easier I'll tell you what I did even though I worked hard I looked for the easier option every time this doesn't mean I was being lazy by the way it just means that
I need to rest strategize when something is really really not working out for me you need to be flexible enough to have the realization when something is not going the way that you want it to go or if something's not working out for you that's when you come up with new Solutions instead of treating it like it's a problem like if I run into a dead end then my reaction will be okay cool let me go the other way at least you know what's not working so now you can go for something else that works
for you think about how many people became successful and they changed their lives coming out of 2020 for example when the world was supposed to be a mess that was something that's very unpredictable that happened to everyone but there were people who were fully able to pull themselves back up and pivot and do other things that's not to say that I don't feel sympathy for people who don't get to do that because I also wasn't one of those people I was trying so hard to survive but it wasn't just about that specific time period this
is all about your personal perspective on life because that moment can be anytime you can press that reset button right now a year from now I want to look back at the last year and be able to see that I made the effort and everything that I want to do and continue to grow even more to become an even better version of myself I also want to see you by the way around a year from now what you're sharing your stories with me about how you're in a much better place and how much better your
