that and you know when I was a teenager everybody he's like oh people with FAS aren't able to get married they're not going to be able to drive they're not going to be able to do anything but hunter has a determined spirit and has overcome many obstacles he wants others to know that if he can do it so can they H I'm not able to get married what's that that's why he participated in Ark of the Twin Cities housing forum for people with developmental disabilities we're bringing together a variety of different resources for people to
learn more about funding resources about Community Based resources and about affordable housing options Ryner says that at the heart of the problem is a lack of affordable housing in the metro area and on the average a one-bedroom apartment can consume up to 94% of their social security disability income which doesn't leave much for food and all the other things that we all need Hunter and Holly want people to know that there are resources to help with housing issues I hope to tell people and parents that that you know their son daughter child what you know
that their loved ones with disabilities can be successful like us that can do message is what Hunter wants to communicate for every I can't or every I won't there's that I can and I will I feel like not just Hunter Sergeant the man with fetal alcohol syndrome I feel like Hunter Sergeant a a strong Community leader in Brooklyn Senator Neil persley 12 News AR hopes this will be the first in a series of forums to Help Housing Solutions for people with disabilities and for more information on that you can go to arcg Greater Twin cities.org
