Alex hosi has discovered the formula to go viral on social media within 40 months he has gained 7.8 million followers cross all platforms his audience just keeps growing so what does Alex know that we just don't to find out I've spent the last 21 days watching hundreds of his videos 54 pages of notes later I realized that his most viral videos had one thing in common they had stories more interestingly I realized that this guy has a four-step formula for his viral stories and the first step is absolutely crucial Alex faces a problem he knows
that he's competing with million other videos so he does something to hook you from the first second just listen to how he opens his stories here could not make this up this one conversation I had changed my life when we hear this we're like wow I want to know what that conversation is that changed his life he uses one short sentence before his exual story to sell his story to get us excited about what is to come even though he has initially gained our attention he knows that he could lose our attention in the span
of a second he understand that this this is not a tet talk he can't spend minutes elaborating on the story as he lose us that's why the second step is so crucial when I watched the videos I noted down how long each story was and how much time he spent on each part of the story what I found blew my mind his stories are on average 29 seconds 29 seconds that's nothing he sets the scene or gives backr information in just one or two sentences that's it check out this story told me about flyers I
thought I need to go put a lot of Flyers out to get business put out 300 Flyers so I called the mentor back up and I was like hey this didn't work and he's like you know what was your test size what do you mean by test SI and I just put out 300 total he just laughed 300 like you're not going to do anything with 300 he's like we test with 5,000 then we do 5,000 a day after that he doesn't give us the full backstory of H it was a warm summer day in
Las Vegas birds were chipping and there was this light fog in the air instead he goes right into the action tells us that one of his mentors he asked him to put out some flyers and that's what he did boom done that's all the background information that he gives he knows that he needs to move to the third and most important step as quickly as possible only a few seconds in he shares the challenge of his story that challenge can be anything a surprising conversation difficult decision an emotional challenge a physical challenge any problem that
he or someone else fac in that moment but how does he share that challenge in 90% of his stories he uses one specific technique different event I went up and I spoke and I told my whole plans of how I wanted to build this national gym chain be America's next gym the guy who ran the Mastermind said you know what Alex I don't think you should do that at all I was crushed and he said I think you have a level 10 skill set and a level two opportunity Alex shares the dialogue of that exact
moment he uses the words that were used in that crucial moment of the story his dialogue works so incredibly effective cuz it's unexpected it's catchy it's simple maybe the dialogue of the mentor was oh I think the growth trajectory of your business is not satisfactory that would have been boring instead Alex uses a much catchier dialogue but not only that in a lot of his videos he also changes his voice or his posture when sharing the dialogue he impersonates the other character sales guys come up to me and they're like dude I got 25 Grand
you know I'm feeling pretty good so I'm just like Curious what kind of investment should I be getting into crypto's looking pretty good right now up to this point this story is on about himself but Alex knows that in order to make the Story Land really well well he needs to make it relevant for all of us and that's when he moves into the last step in the last step he shares what he has learned from that experience when it gets easy is when you go hard because you don't have that many fat pitches in
a lifetime if you do one thing for a very long period of time you will get very good at it and notice he doesn't say here are my 10 takeaways from our story he knows that if he shares 10 takeaways well he'd overwhelm his listeners they'd forget all of them instead he shares just the one thing that he has learned from that experience that's it he also doesn't say the moral of the story is because he doesn't want to come across as his preacher instead he says what I learned from that experience is X Y
and Z or what I realized is XY andz it's a much more subtle much more inviting approach to sharing his wisdom this is Alex four-step formula to tell viral stories but Alex also uses very specific techniques to spice up his story if you want to tell stories like Alex you may want to check out this next video in which you'll learn how to turn any average moment into the most incredible story enjoy [Music]
