imagine getting twice as much done in half the time might sound impossible but it's not let me show you how with my five gamechanging productivity tips so we are in my office and I want to give you a little tour of this office and this place where I am super super productive so tip number one set clear daily goals every single day are you clear on exactly what has to get done that day I do this by planning the night before so before I leave doesn't matter if I'm leaving at 5:15 8:15 2:00 whatever time
I'm leaving the office I'm really clear on for the next day what are the top three to five things that I absolutely have to get done in that day and I make the time to have those things actually get done so that when I wake up the next morning I'm not just like confused and frustrated and wondering what the heck is supposed to be happening no I know exactly what has to get done because I set the daily goals the day before and then that day just run smoothly so after you've set clear daily goals
you got to go on to the next thing so we got to get moving clear daily goals require that you are very intentional about the environment that you have around you because if your environment doesn't help you actually achieve those goals it's going to be fairly problematic so welcome to our studio this is the Cardone Adventure Studio here in Miami and I want to share with you productivity hack number two minimize distractions now it's funny about this particular studio is as you might be able to tell there are screens everywhere there are buttons all over
the place we have computers and just all of these widgets this might be a very distracting environment and it might remind you of your distracting environment what do you actually do when you can't control how stimulating your environment might be well you figure out what you can control so if I was working in this particular office I'd be like okay we're turning this screen off I don't need to pay attention to this this thing over here doesn't matter to me I'm turning off my Apple watch notification which to be honest with you is something I
always do you can never notify me of anything ever on my Apple watch because I don't want the distractions and the distractions come in the form of a text message from a friend that you're trying to get drinks with later on it's distracting now my attention is off of what I'm supposed to be doing it comes in the form of an email that just pops up on your phone so I turn off every single one of my notifications throughout the workday especially in those moments where I know I only have a short window to get
the most important things done all notifications gone if somebody urgently has to get a hold of me they can try calling twice and it'll come through and I know then that it's really important but then it's really important so I have to go do those things which all of a sudden becomes a priority so think about how you can take control of your environment by controlling the distractions around you you create a distraction free environment even though it seems like you can't control it you absolutely can so back to my little office tour here in
Miami the studio has all the fun widgets and then we have this incredible screen this thing costs a pretty penny but it's spectacular and it's currently promoting billion billions because I happen to have a podcast if you are not already watching and listening to the podcast you definitely do that but back to the productivity tip see you got to minimize distractions or else you just start talking about other random things tip number three prioritize what you need to do with the Eisenhower method you'll notice here that I'm standing right next to this that says results
this is one of six core values in our business in order to drive results you have to be clear on what is urgent versus what is important and that is what the Eisenhower method helps you with when you take a look at every single thing that you have to do categorize it by what is urgent and what is important because some things might be urgent but they aren't actually the most important thing that you need to get done similarly some big project that you have to work on can be in incredibly important for moving your
business forward for generating more revenue for hiring that next person so it's incredibly important and often times as business owner these are the things that we don't actually check as urgent so they're important not urgent and they don't get done when you can look at everything that you have to do through this filter it will help you prioritize what has to happen today in order to move your business forward so here are the rest of our core values we have results aligned transparent accountable disciplines and one my fav favorites which is inspirational speaking of being
inspirational there is nothing more inspiring than saying no if you truly want to be productive you have to decide what your agenda is for that day it cannot be based off of what everybody else wants you to do what every person in your life thinks would be the most important thing for you that day it has to be based off of what you need to do and the only way that you create true inspiration is by creating something spectacular creating something so incredible that people want to be around you they are inspired by the things
that you do people are inspired by people who just sit on the couch have big dreams but don't actually do those things that are required to achieve and accomplish their Big Dreams people get inspired by people who are actually able to create things and in order to create things say no becomes very important and it can be challenging to say no because most of the things you're saying no to are good things it's not a bad thing to go to dinner with your family it's not a bad thing to have to go do those returns
that you've been holding off on doing but those things that you need to say no to in order to actually do the things that are important and Urgent are the things that will allow you to move your business forward if that's something that's truly important to you so only you get to decide that on to our fifth and final productivity tip this one happens to be at the front of our office in front of our massive 10x and I thought it was fitting take breaks and move around you are not a robot yes you can
be very productive and do lots of things all at once I am all about creaming as many meetings back to back to back to back to back and stacking things on top of each other but if you are not taking breaks short breaks not long breaks and moving around it is easy to have that work that you are trying to produce actually become stale because you're not taking care of your body because you're not moving around because you're not just like shaking off from one thing to the next thing literally just last week I was
in a meeting with somebody and I had just been creating a bunch of new slides for this new project that we're working on and I had to Pivot to this meeting that was a one-on-one not a super ideal way to have to Pivot coming off of this creative thing and into this like really heavy thing so I asked the team member that I was having this one-on-one with I was like I just need 30 seconds you should practice this just say I just need 30 seconds and the person's like sure no problem and I literally
just sat there took a breath and I stood up I did a little walk around I sat back down 30 seconds later and I was like okay I'm ready it's game time so taking breaks moving around helping reset to getting the next thing done so that you're actually able to do it at the level that you need to do it that you need to accomplish it at it's not you half a it it's not you giving part of your brain to the activity you are fully locked and loaded to get that next thing done which
is the essence of being productive now I am curious to know what is your favorite productivity hack and speaking of productivity I got to go back to work
