[Music] my name is viola jean baptiste and i am an event planner and travel agent i own dream wedding and events and dream journeys during wedding and events is a full production planning company where we plan celebrations for our clients whether it be a birthday party a wedding a graduation a sweet 16 bar mitzvah holiday parties if you're celebrating it come to us we are here to pretty much plan it from concept to completion dream journeys on the other hand is actually a travel company i am a travel agent and i plan trips for people
traveling the world you know so rather you are traveling for a honeymoon bachelorette trip bachelor's trip or birthday excursions i help you plan uh your trips and that comes with finding you the best hotels finding you flight and cruises all at the best rates so i put those two businesses together and so that rather you're having a birthday party or whatever celebration and you're having a party or you're traveling either way you're celebrating one way or another so i handle both i take care of both because i just think you should live to your biggest
dream and your biggest experience now a lot of people come to me and say well what is the difference between an event planner and an event coordinator an event planner will aesthetically be your event coordinator no one's going to plan your entire event and then someone else is coming in to coordinate it you know there are small details that uh on the day of the event that needs to be taken care of therefore you are there coordinating and letting your vendors know where things are going how things are happening making sure the timeline is exactly
as what it should be and stepping in when you have to things don't necessarily go as it should most of the time it does not you know to be honest with you which is why you should also hire an event planner because um things don't go as it should and when even planners know what to do at that time you know an event coordinator is you've planned your entire event you found your vendors you've designed everything you've created your con your content your timeline whatever it is and you've hired an event coordinator some do three
months before one month before two weeks before and you're going over with your event coordinator about how things are happening and what's happening at specific times during the event and um so all the headache you dealt with that for the whole year or whatever how long it took you to plan your event but at the end of the day you needed someone to come run the event you can't be the bride and the coordinator you can't be the graduate and the coordinator like you just need someone to handle it all [Music] now there are several
differences between event planner event coordinator and event designer to be honest with you some even charge people for all three you know but the thing is your event planner will create the design for you your event planner is there for for it all your coordinator is not your event designer your coordinator is there just to appear on the day of your event and make sure things are where they're supposed to be and making sure that things are going smoothly and flowing nicely an event designer simply is exactly what the word is it the person they've
designed your event so whatever the tablescapes look like whatever your backdrop looks like whatever all of that stuff the room and the aroma that is happening the moment when your guest walks into the room your event designer did that now is your event designer going to help you find a limo company a photographer and things like that maybe not you know if they're nice and generous maybe but that's not their job their job is to just really simply make the space look nice now the fact that they did put in all that effort they might
help you find a photographer to capture those beautiful moments but it really is not their job to find you all these other vendors and things like that to help you put your fit together to help with you know uh travel transportation and things like that that's not their job they are simply here to make the design and make your event look beautiful so that's the difference between planner coordinator and designer planner is the best way to go [Music] so your dream experience is an educational platform for clients there are so many times where clients are
having an event or probably even scared to have an event because they just don't know where to begin or they assume things are one thing when really it's something else and it it takes much more than uh what they assume it really was so here you're going to get to learn about the phases of event planning the real deal process of event planning and um as well as travel and how much time consuming it actually is and what goes into event planning you will hear from our vendors you know some of the most amazing vendors
around the world that is going to dive deeply on their segment or their craft when it comes to the event planning world so rather it be a cake baker you know what goes into baking a cake why is cake so expensive where do we get this stuff you know and um things that people just like oh it's just cake or it's just photography or it's just this and that no you're really going to get the educational background as to why we're choosing this particular vendor why your vendor is charging you this amount of money and
what really goes into what they do for your to make your event exactly what it is so you'll hear the real behind the scenes and deep we're going to ask our i'm going to sit with each vendor that i've used and some that maybe i've never used before but could be valuable to you and your event that what it takes to plan a whole event and what their purpose is and how valuable their purpose is at your celebration vendors i encourage you to come on your dream experience to really give our clients a real deal
