we have three or two homeworks which are due we'll talk about workstation setup but for to for this week you have to submit two homeworks assessing safety incidents and conducting a safety audit please so assessing safety incidents and conducting a safety audit and then for workstation set up um we have one um the five W the five wise audits um which we may um submit but we will review that in a minute so these are the the three homeworks that were due this week so that's due on the 2nd of October let's review the first the first is workstation setup now if you have gone through the recorded lectures you will realize that the homework for workstation setup is not due this week in fact the homework for workstation set up is due per the dates one is due on the 16th of October and then the final homework is due on the 13th of November please so what do you have to do see what you have to do so watch the recorded lectures and we'll explain to you exactly what you need to do you will review before review all your handouts and job AIDS which are in column two in the second column and these basically are handouts job AIDS that we've we've provided to you or are going to provide to you throughout all the different modules that we're going to be teaching what will you do you will take all of these handouts and job AIDS you will follow the guidance and instruct instruction in the recording lecture to complete the activity with your laboratory team so if you have watched the recorded lecture you will know what you are supposed to do so so that so that we're clear about what we are going to do for this homework could somebody please volunteer to walk us through what we're going to do for workstation set up and the homework that is due on the 16th and the homework that is due on the on the 16th of October excuse me and the homework that is due on the 13th of November um one volunteer P please anybody who has read gone through the recorded lecture who can tell us what we will do for this homework uh um let me see I don't see any volunteers let me check in the chat box see if anybody's coming um okay so I don't see any volunteers I don't see any um messages in the chat box so let me just walk you through all the details please are in the recorded lecture but let me just walk you through what you're going to do for this homework workstation setup is about applying the knowledge that you have learned in each of the modules in qms 1 up until qms 4 into improving a workstation in your lab so there are various principles that we learn um various activities that we learn in different um topics that we cover that can be used to improve the workstations in your lab so in the chat box can you give me an example of an activity that we have done that we can use in terms of looking at workstations in our labs and improving those workstations in the chat box Nadia improve workflow yes what was that activity that we did we did those activities last week that we can use in terms of applying the principles that we've learned and also um some of the job AIDS that we gave you exactly the the designing the workflow the spaghetti diagram so activities like the flow planning thank you Jennifer the lean tools P pluss equals o Etc so in each of those activities as we go along we have learned certain principles that we can take to improving a workstation in your lab and this also comes back to our principal in slanta where we say the activities what we teach you we're able to give you tools that make an immediate Improvement you can use to make an immediate measurable Improvement in your lab so that is what we want you to do for this activity we want you to go back to your lab and choose a workstation it can be one stake workstation if you like we only need one or we you can choose multiple workstations in your lab and in your resources you have the 5S audit please the 5S audit sheet you are going to do a before of that workstation you're going to complete the 5S audit for the workstation that you choose and that is what you're going to submit on the 16th of October the 5S audit which will be your Baseline so what were the issues of your with your workstation before using the 5S audit then in your lab team and for this activity it's very important that you work with a lab team I understand that there are some of you who may not work directly in the lab but you're supporting Labs if you're supporting labs and working with those labs to establish their qms Etc work with them as a team use the job AIDS the handouts that you have been provided throughout the activities that we've learned so far especially from qms 1 and qms 2 and apply those principles to reorganizing and fixing your workstation right so your 5S audit before will tell you what are the issues at this workstation and then you use that audit and say okay these are the issues this is what we need to do you're going to do it and you have all the handouts and job AIDS to help you to do it then you're going to do another 5S audit to see whether you have addressed the problems at the workstation so that second 5S audit which you do at the end of the activity is what will be due on the 13th of November please so just that is what you are going to do again more details are in the recorded lecture but essentially that's what you are going to do take a workstation in your lab where you know you have issues or you think needs Improvement apply the principles that you have learned from the topic from the um topics and activities you've learned so far especially under qms 1 qms 2 and some from qms 3 and apply them to fix the issues with that Workstation so we want to see the before and after and again for this activity very important that you work as a team all right so any questions related to that I'm going to go to the um chat chat box because I saw some questions there um but in the meantime if anybody want also wants to unmute and you know just ask their question outright you can do so um kantu says we are to apply the 5S plus safety except exactly perform the 5S plus safety so perform the audit fix the issue improve your workstation and then do another audit at the end to show that the actions that you've taken and the activity that you've done has fixed the issues in the workstation remember pictures please people we want pictures lots of pictures the before and the after so that we can actively we can actually see the change to your Workstation as you are working with your teams to improve um let me go and see if there's another question um there was some questions at the end James says do we share the photos of the lab at Baseline including implementation of the share TOS absolutely absolutely we want to see the before the during and the after so show us the workstation before right you can highlight all the issues that you identified at that workstation in your pictures then you show us you could we want pictures of you working with your team to address the issues and then we want pictures of the after as well okay um Natalia please you have your hand up hello Beatrice hello to everyone I just have a question because I have a look at the uh document hand out 185s and in this document there is a 5S uh audit sheet and there is only a table for three s but not for five can you check please maybe it's some kind of a roar or maybe document was not loaded completely okay let me go into the resources and show you the document please hold on a second please okay so can let me stop sharing so that we're it yes yes so we have so we have here the area which is sort set in order and then we have shine okay so na Natalia could you kindly repeat your question uh as you see we have here only three s shine set order and first one I can but what about last two because we we should have five s yeah yes we have standardize yeah and also sustain right so when we come to the remember that right now we're doing the Baseline so what are the main things that you want to um see at your workstation so if we look at those first let me go to the first three s's right so are you with me here sort set in order and shine are we together Nadia yes yeah so if we look at those three right if we look at those three we we are checking to see how are things in place where they're supposed to be are they setting in order and then are they clean is Everything clean is everything tidy and then we have standardized and sustain right so what we want to be able to do and I will I will double check this but this is um the ones that we have so let me just um let me check this Natalia please and come back to you and I'll let um Kennedy feedback to you on this um um to check and see but this is the 5S audit um thank lab do you are you supporting any labs kin please yes yes we're are supporting Laboratories different exactly exactly so you have the opportunity to work with those lab teams to look at their workstations so if you're supporting Labs we will encourage you to go into the lab choose a workstation with a lab team and work with them to improve it using what what you have learned here so everything that we're teaching you from week to week if you if you are either working in the lab or supporting a lab our expectation is that you're taking those principles and what we have taught you and helping those labs to make changes um to improve their system so it's similar here as well yes KT so um I went to the source document and did find that the the AIT sheet it has five s's in it yeah so we will um send this out I will send it to Canady so he can distribute it thank you thank you for checking that KY uh by the way I want to I want to award Natalia with 10 Santa dollar for noting workstation set up let's move to um our other homework which is due tomorrow so the first is assess and safety incident you are to view the recorded lectures before doing the homework the you use the worksheet occurrence report form and complete the homework for safety incident 2 remember that we walk through safety incident 1 together during the recorded lecture so you are supposed to watch safety incident 2 and then record that okay so safety incident two is what you're focusing on conducting a safety audit do the homework after the live session please so it says after the live session there are two parts to this homework the first part is for you to view the pictures that are provided in the PowerPoint slides and then on your worksheet indicate the one safe or unsafe thing that you see that homework is due tomorrow the second part of the homework which will be to find items in the checklist which correspond will be due after the live session so please for this week what we want you to do to do is take your worksheet photo audit answer sheet review the pictures that you see that are provided to you in your resources in the PowerPoint slide for each picture look at the picture and say is what I'm seeing in this picture safe or unsafe that is what we need you to do if you can go further and review section 12 of the slip checklist and identify a question which corresponds to the safe or unsafe practice that you see in the picture then noted down in the appropriate column that is what we need for tomorrow so those are the two homeworks for assessing safety incidents re watch safety incident two record it on the report form submit that for conducting a safety audit review the pictures for each P picture note is what I'm seeing safe or unsafe can I find a cpto checklist question that corresponds to this in section 12 facilities and safety that corresponds to the safe or unsafe practice that I'm seeing in these pictures that is it so let me go to the chat box in the meantime you can also unmute if you have a question hi bet just a quick one um in this checklist we see that there are sub sections a b c and it goes to as far as the items that are available uh when answering them now in our homework in the worksheet that we have do we just write the number for instance 12. 6 12. 10 or okay so for example if if the if you go to question 12.

6 and the specific requirements and and say SE section 12. 6 has sub questions right if for example the specific um um unsafe or safe practice you're seeing in the picture relates to question 12. 6 a then please put 12.
