If you are tired of wasting hours on Pinterest posting content that isn't bringing you leads or sales, stop right now because I have a fourpart content marketing system that is going to bring you in real traffic and help you finally start getting consistent sales from your digital products. So, if that sounds good, let's get into it. Hi friends, I'm Michelle.
I'm a six-figure digital product seller and mentor. And in this video, we are breaking down your Pinterest content strategy. By the end of this video, you're going to know exactly what you should be posting, well, pinning on Pinterest to actually see results and start making consistent sales of your digital product.
Now, this is episode 4 of my get paid on Pinterest series. I hope you've enjoyed it. If you haven't watched the other episodes, they'll all be linked down below in the description bar.
We talked about exactly how you pin using Tailwind and how you can schedule all of your pins so you can literally just do one day of deep work and have pins for the rest of the month. We also talked about an affiliate marketing strategy for those of you that don't yet have a digital product but want to start monetizing Pinterest straight away. So, this video is all about what should you actually be pinning?
Like what content should you be putting on Pinterest to get sales? And just before we jump into the four types of content you should be pinning, I want to remind you, refresh you. This might be the first time you're seeing it if you haven't watched the other videos of the Pinterest funnel, okay?
Because I want you to be really clear on the role that Pinterest is driving and what you should be doing after somebody clicks your pin to actually get that sale. So, here's the Pinterest funnel. You first start with your pin.
Okay, that is the main part. That is the first part of the funnel. You need to get people to click on your pin.
And so you're going to find out in this video the type of content you should be pinning. After that, the person will land on a landing page. So you don't want to go directly to your product page in Beacons or Standtore or Etsy, wherever you're selling.
You don't want to do that. They need to land on a landing page. And this landing page can be one of essentially three things.
It can either be a blog post where you are talking about content related to your digital product. and you are then linking to your product from there. It can be a freebie page, which is what I recommend, where you're giving somebody a lead magnet and then you are then putting them into an email sequence where you're going to sell your product.
Or it can be a landing page where you are actually selling your product. But you need to make sure this is a long form landing page with lots of information on it. Okay, so that's the three options and that is how your Pinterest funnel looks.
Now, depending on what your landing page is will kind of establish what the rest of the funnel looks like. Let's assume that you are linking to a freebie page, which is what I recommend. After that, they then go into an email sequence where you are essentially giving them information on the freebie, giving them information on you yourself as a brand, telling them why you've created your product, giving them a really good offer on why they should buy it.
And I have an email marketing video that's going to break all of that down for you. Again, I will leave it below. And from there, there is where your customer will click through one of the links on those emails and buy your product.
That is the ideal funnel. So, let's get on to exactly what you should be pinning. And there are really only four types of content that you should be pinning.
Number one is content around your freebie. So, you should essentially be promoting your freebie in this pin content. Now, in terms of what you actually say, you talk about the problems that your freebie helps people overcome.
Okay? Let's say you've got a freebie that is a 30-day healthy eating plan. You will post content on want to eat more healthy, want to have a consistent healthy eating plan.
Are you eating junk too much? And you want to get consistent on your healthy eating plan. So, those are all of the problems that your freebie solves.
And I'm actually going to put on screen a chat GBT prompt that you can use to basically list out all of the problems that your product solves and help you create content easy pin titles and descriptions based on that. And so this is where my pin perfection toolkit is really going to help you because I have a custom GPT where you literally just put in your audience where you are linking to and it will create loads of pin titles and loads of pin descriptions so that you have a whole bank of content that you can use for your freebie. Okay, so that is the first type of content you're creating.
You're focusing on your freebie and you're focusing on the problems that it overcomes for your customer. Okay, so the next type of content is pins about your paid product. Now, ideally, your freebie and your paid product are very closely related, but you're obviously delivering a lot more in your paid product.
So, again, you're going to focus on all of the problems that your paid product is overcoming, but also I want you to focus on FAQs. You know, what are some of the most frequent questions that you get from your customers? And even if you don't have customers yet, you would have done your research.
I'm hoping you would have gone onto Facebook groups. You would have gone on to Amazon reviews. You would be looking at what your competitor is doing.
You would go on Reddit. You would see the type of questions that people are asking generally in your niche and generally about products like yours. Okay?
And then you're going to focus on creating pins that are either answering those problems or answering those questions or talking about how your paid product helps resolve those questions. Again, you can use my pin perfection custom GPT inside my toolkit below to create that content super easily. and it's going to export it in a way where you already have your pin title, you already have your pin description, and so all you then have to do is drive people through to your sales page, which is going to have more information about your product and the opportunity for them to buy it.
Okay, so content type number three is going to be general educational content around your niche. Now, this doesn't have to directly relate to your product, but it does have to directly relate to the pain points that people are having, just generally in your niche. Just generally things related to your product that people are going through, even if you're not resolving them directly in your product.
Now, you for this type of content, you would click through to either your lead magnet or a blog post just talking about general frustrations. Again, where possible, you would position your product as the solution. Like, how can your product help some of those problems?
Or even if it's not the exact problem, how does it help a related problem that gives them a similar outcome? An example could be somebody is typing into Pinterest how to lower their blood sugar, like low blood sugar recipes. And although your product might not necessarily be a product specifically about lowering blood sugar, if you've got a healthy nutritional guide, this is also something that they'll probably be interested in.
So you could write content about being healthy helps you to have an overall healthier lifestyle even if you are struggling with conditions like low blood sugar or high blood sugar, whatever it is. Okay? And so you would find ways to connect your product to wider problems in your niche.
And if not, you just talk about your experience if you have it around those problems and how you were able to resolve it. So for these pins, hopefully a lot of them will result in sales, but a lot of them will result also in clicks through to your landing pages, people following you on Pinterest, and just generally growing your presence on Pinterest. The more that people click through to your content, the more that Pinterest is going to recommend your other pins.
And the last type of content I recommend you linking through to is affiliate content. Now, this is separate from your digital products. Usually, these are other platforms or products that you are enjoying and that you can get a commission for recommending.
Now, if you are in like a business type niche like me, there are so many pieces of software that I use and I love. Like I love Tailwind, although I don't have an affiliate for that, but I love it, right? And I'm generally talking from a place of it solving problems for me.
And if I can get paid to recommend that to my audience, then great. Although I'm not an affiliate for Tailwind. I just tell you about it cuz I love it.
But there are so many other platforms. There are email platforms. There are sales platforms.
There are creation platforms. There's so many platforms that I I actually use dayto-day that I can make a smaller income for recommending to others. And I'm sure you have the same.
There might be other products that you use around the house. There might be other products that you use in your business. There might be other products that you just know that your target audience would be interested in that you can recommend for an affiliate income.
Now, I just did a video, please check it out right here on how you can easily use Verbbo AI to create amazing affiliate content so easily. But there are really so many options whether you want to use AI, whether you want to go faceless, whether you want to create it yourself. But the key thing here is to choose an affiliate platform that is suited to your audience type.
So if you have a small audience, you really need to be going into Amazon. If you have a larger audience, you can go into bigger platforms like ClickBank, Impact, or even just direct with the brand. Okay.
And the second thing that you need to make sure when you are promoting affiliate content is that you are promoting good quality affiliates. And these need to be things that you ideally have actually tried and verified. There's nothing worse than you writing a whole article about how you love something, selling it, getting someone to buy from it, and then they try it and they're like, "Oh, it was really rubbish.
" But you actually didn't know that because you either don't use it or you just don't, you know, it's just a shitty product. So, please make sure that you are only creating affiliate content that is related to your product, related to your niche, of a high quality, and is actually going to solve problems for your audience. Now, I want to throw in a bonus since you've made it this far.
As well as pinning your own content and affiliate content, you also want to repin other people's content on Pinterest. Why? because this shows Pinterest that you are a useful um supportive and engaging member of the Pinterest community.
It also builds your own boards up. It builds up your own views as well. And so I do this quite a lot.
I will repin other people's content related to my niche. And sometimes that means I'm repinning other people that are helping people sell digital products. But I don't mind that.
All right? Because you need to put your audience first. and Pinterest will always prioritize your own pins anyway.
So, this is a really easy hack to get more views, get more clicks, get more presence on Pinterest simply by repinning other people's posts. And you can actually do this almost automatically with the Tailwind browser login. Again, I'm not an affiliate.
I'm just telling you this because I love you and I love the platform. You can use the browser extension and Tailwind will actually help you repin other content that is relevant for your boards. Please make sure that you match them to your right boards so you can get the all of the SEO benefits.
And so with consistency, I'm talking about posting at least 3 to five pins a day. You are going to start seeing your views going up. You're going to start seeing more clicks to your pins.
And you're going to hopefully start seeing more digital product sales. Now, you're also going to use a platform like Tailwing to schedule everything out. You do literally one day of work for the entire month.
And if you grab my Pinterest Perfection bundle, you're going to get access to my custom GPTs, my keyword tracker, and all of my viral pins, which is going to totally speed the process up.
