They are typically composed of diamond segments or other hard abrasives that are bonded onto a steel blade. These blades are capable of cutting through stone with incredible precision and efficiency, making them essential tools for the mining and construction industries.

It has a bucket capacity of up to 5. 6 cubic meters and can reach depths of up to 8. 6 meters.
Another equally epic machine used in the logging industry is the log loader. A log loader is a heavy-duty machine used in forestry operations for loading, unloading, and transporting logs. It has a hydraulic boom and grapple for lifting logs of various sizes and is highly maneuverable.

EDF Holdings, a young Slovenian firm, has opted for a distinctive approach in designing quarry dump trucks. Rather than increasing size to boost payload, the company has instead engineered a concept for a modular truck capable of adjusting the number of axles, and consequently the length and volume of the body. The initial prototypes, named MD-240, were introduced in 2016-2017.
Presently, EDF Holdings dump truck series has been rebranded as DEEP and comprises six different machines. Their lengths range from 12. 5 to 29 meters with varying payloads from 180 to 777 tons.
This modular design provides companies with a versatile machine capable of adapting to diverse tasks. Types, furthermore, these dump trucks are several meters narrower and shorter, thereby increasing Quarry productivity and paving the way for new road building opportunities. Thank you!
[Music] We're moving on to a machine that's brand new this year, the HD 7858 dump truck from the Japanese manufacturer Komatsu. It began selling in the first half of 2020. The company suggests that this model encapsulates their entire century's worth of expertise.
This model has been specifically designed for Quarry and Mining operations. It possesses a sizable body with a 60 cubic meter capacity and can carry a load of up to 92. 2 tons.
However, the spotlight is mainly on the machine's maneuverability. The engineers have managed to attain an extraordinarily small turning radius of only 10. 1 meters.
The machine also boasts a power output of 1,200 horsepower. The dimensions of the machine are 5 meters high, 11. 3 meters long, and 4.
3 meters wide. Thank you. If you're under the impression that we are running out of large machinery, you're certainly mistaken because the world is full of them, and each model is unique in its own right.
Consider the 797f dump truck from the American firm Caterpillar. As of now, it stands as the world's most substantial and heaviest vehicle among those equipped with a manual transmission. The Caterpillar 797 Ferrets impresses with its 4,000 horsepower and a payload capacity of 363 tons.
The truck measures 7 meters in height, 15 meters in length, and nine and a half meters in width. Interestingly, when the body of the truck is elevated, it reaches almost 16 meters in height. For context, the typical height of a two-story house is usually around six to eight meters.
[Music] While it may not hold a place in the Guinness Book of Records, the Skinnyway XL is appropriately deemed the future of mining. This is because the Skinnyway XL is a massive machine that operates without an operator. This conceptual autonomous truck is tasked with significant responsibilities such as enhancing Freight transport processes and reducing operational costs.
You won't spot a cabin on the Skinnyway XL, an intelligent module has replaced it. All necessary data for safe driving is sourced from cameras, various types of radar and lidar, as well as GPS receivers that consistently monitor the surroundings. There are virtually no blind spots.
Furthermore, this concept is fueled by renewable biofuel, thus reducing its environmental footprint to a bare minimum. The standout characteristic of this machine is its unique juxtaposition of remarkably light unladen weight with an exceptionally high payload. This means that the Liberty 284 redefines production economics, enabling greater carriage capacities but at reduced costs.
Although its engine generates more than 4,000 horsepower, it is known for its fuel efficiency. The weight of the empty earth mover is 237 tons, yet it can handle a payload of 363 tons, about one and a half times its own weight. Impressively, despite bearing such tremendous loads, the Liberty 284 is able to move at a respectable speed of up to 64 kilometers per hour.
For the performing dump truck with an electromechanical transmission was first introduced just a few years back. At that time, the performance attributes of the vehicle were highly impressive. The total power of the Japanese Komatsu 980 E4 was 3549 horsepower.
The geometric capacity of the body was 183 cubic meters with the heap capacity being 250 cubic meters. Its overall width was 10 meters, and it stood at a height of 8 meters. The nominal payload exceeded 369 tons, which was quite substantial.
Thank you. Even though modern trucks with their size and performance, it's important to remember that about a decade ago dump trucks were equally impressive. Take, for instance, the Bucyrus mt6300 AC.
This model, which production began in 2008, was quite remarkable during its time when the company was known as T-Rex. The capacity to haul loads of up to 363 tons placed the Mt 6300 AC among the world's most formidable dump trucks, competing closely with the likes of Bellas and Caterpillar machines. It delivered a horsepower of 3750.
When the body wasn't lifted, the height was nearly 8 meters. The total length of the machine was 15. 6 meters, and its width was almost 10 meters.
Distinct from all other machines featured in the video, the Crest 200 C3 is specially designed for coal transportation. Characterized by its elongated form, extremely low base, and low loading feature, this model can reach an impressive speed of up to 68 kilometers per hour. It also boasts a record ratio of payload to curb weight.
Its engine delivers a power of 2100 horsepower, while the payload capacity is 220 tons. Another unique aspect of the Crest 200 C3 is its wheels that swivel up to 85 degrees, offering remarkable maneuverability and the ability to turn practically in place. [Music] Thank you.
The final machine we're focusing on today is the HD 5395 TS dump truck from the Dutch company Genif. This behemoth, built based on a large though standard truck, features five axles and a body that was custom-made by the Polish company KH Kipper. The result is a sizable machine capable of hauling up to 70 tons.
Notably, the body design is unique with a special cross-section created from wear-resistant steel. This combination ensures that the dump truck body is sturdy yet lightweight and can unload in a mere 40 seconds.
