[Music] hey what's up guys welcome to another episode of pan the organizer So today we're doing a battle of snow Foams so here behind me I have a selection of eight very popular Snow Foams uh some are consumer grade that can be easily found uh in a local auto part store and some are also more prummer or professional type products so first of all what is a snow foam well a snow foam is a type of shampoo or soap that you're going to put into a foam Cannon you're going to pair that up with your
pressure washer and you're going to blanket your entire vehicle with a layer of that foam and there are two types of snow Foams typically there are more the pH neutral that add more lubrication on the surface and also if you're working outside they help to protect against water spotting because they blanket your vehicle with that pH neutral shampoo and so that's going to be in an effort to help encapsulate and lift a bit of that loose dirt and debris so you can rinse that off before you go ahead and do your contact wash uh and
so that way there's less chances of marring or scratching the paint when you're handwashing your vehicle and then the other type of snow foam is one that has a higher cleaning potential for that pre-wash stage so again in a foam Cannon but this time uh things like built hambur touchless this is a ph12 so higher pH or higher alkaline level and that has a tendency to attack more of that road film and traffic film it's not something you would use for a regular weekly wash it's something you'd use every now and then for that deeper
clean for example and you got to be careful with those higher alkaline versions because they can be damaging for regular waxes or sealant and can even weaken some ceramic Coatings over time depending on the PH range of resistance of your specific coating so that's the higher alkaline versions are some that we'll use every now and then again for those deeper cleanings for a Decon wash or for prepping a vehicle before you apply a protection like a ceramic coating for example to kind of degrease and remove that traffic film and that Road Grime So today we're
going to focus on the ones we' use regularly for our weekly washes so those pH neutral ones or the ones that are safe on waxes panyin and ceramic Coatings and that should have no problems whatsoever using uh by the way I'll leave links to all of these in the description under the video for you guys to check them out so all you have to do is sit back relax and enjoy the show so the last snow foam battle I did uh was over 4 years ago at this point in September of 2019 and boy has
a lot of things changed in the detailing world uh since those years uh so the winner of that battle which we're going to have today again for a benchmark here was the Adams polishes MEAP foam so this one here is not really meant for the bucket wash or hand wash this is really meant for use the pre-wash stage so has a snow foam in your foam Cannon so we're going to keep it again in this test today uh as a benchmark so this one here had super thick foam uh and it did the job back
in the day but as I said a lot has changed and all of the rest of the competitors here are new to this test some are newer brands that were released in the past year or so so it'll be interesting to see um how these perform right so the prices are very different we have them here uh in order of price points so the uh first one is the Turtle Wax hybrid Solutions Pro slick and slide pure wash the uh by the way all of these can be had in gallon sizes as well and that
uh reduces the price considerably we're going to be comparing the smallest entries so the 16 o for the majority of them uh except one from kosmi this is available the smallest size in a liter or 33.8 o um note that the auto fanatic can only be had in a 16o format not in a gallon size but the others can be bought in gallon sizes except for the Turtle Wax this one here uh comes in one version in North America it's the 64 oun uh and in uh the UK or in Europe it comes in 1.42
lers or 48 ounces so keep that in mind there's only one size available in Europe and only one size available in North America so the second competitor is the Phoenix EOD Apex auto wash this is the updated version 2.0 formula that we have uh another popular one out there this is more of the consumer grade so we tried to incorporate different price points and uh consumer and more professional type products so this is Chemical Guys Mr Pink this is mainly um to be used as a car soap but you can also use it in your
foam Cannon I know a lot of you guys use that so that's why we have it in this test uh the next one up is auto fanatic 007 snowstorm car shampoo the uh next one is kosami GSF or Koke Kimi however you guys want to call it we're not going to get into uh the details of the naming here so this is gentle snow foam uh this is the one we're using in the test this is the Cherry scented one but note that they also have a crazy good Limited Edition version the gfx this is
the Christmas edition so same exact formula just a different scent so so this one here they say smells like Christmas in a bottle uh but the uh official scent from the Kos Ki guys or COI guys themselves is baked apples so it smells absolutely wonderful you can get your hands on a bottle everybody was tested this so far really loves the scent if that's important for you uh next as I said there's also Adams polishes megap foam then second to last will be the DIY detail incredible Suds and last but not least the armor detail
Supply shampoo plus so a bunch of awesome competitors what are we going to be looking at so obviously we're going to be looking at price and value we're going to be looking at the thickness they provide on the surface uh the ease of rinsing because it's important that these can be freely rinsed off and that you're not kind of fighting the soap or any residue that's on there uh the ease of diluting the product inside your foam Cannon uh the scent for some people scent is important uh and also the the concentration so how concentrated
are these formulas to make sure we have an even playing field this time around we're doing something different we're not necessarily following the instructions on the label uh cuz some of them say that you can add 2 oz up to 4 o that's a lot of product what I wanted to test also here is how concentrated are they so we're going to be using only 1 o of each one of these in the foam Cannon so we're going to remove any other um variables by doing that so keep it consistent so 1 o of each
product inside the foam cannon with 500 mL of water which is roughly 16 9 o call it 17 oz so basically 1 to7 ratio my typical ratio when I wash my vehicles for a snow foam is around 1 to 10 so a bit more concentrated uh but this time I wanted to see are they still good enough if you use less of the product so and also we're using the mjjc uh foam Cannon s version 3.0 one of the best foam cannons out there I'm using this one CU it's very very popular uh on the
net right now and we know this produces a lot of foam so removing uh any any um potential downfall from a bad foam cannon not producing enough foam I'm going to talk about what produces more foam at the end I'm going to give you tips and tricks on how you it can increase your foam output but uh yeah so we're going to be putting um inside here 1 o of each product with 500 mL of water or 16.9 o of water I'm using warm water in this case this helps to dilute the products correctly it
also increases a bit of that foaming at least I find it does in my situation uh note that with my pressure washer I have a high capacity uh 2.1 Gall per minute krena 1122 TST so a very capable pressure washer one of the best uh electric pressure washers on the market heavy-grade professional type unit uh I also used deionized water with my um CR spotless water deionizer so this is pure water no minerals in it uh we have the biggest chances of getting the most foam in this setup and also let me know which one
you guys preferred out of all of these especially if you've used any of them uh let us know drop a comment in the comment section under the video oh before I forget another thing I wanted to add is the vehicle was washed before we did the test so that way we remove any potential differences uh as we move on into the snow Foams if we had started out with a dirty vehicle obviously the first snow foam would hit a dirty surface and then the more snow Foams you add the cleaner it gets and so the
last ones would be working on a clean surface so to keep things simple the vehicle was washed uh fully rinsed so we're going to foam on a dry surface we're going to let it dwell 30 seconds to a minute then rinse that off dry it again and move to the next one and so on and so forth so let's dive right into the demo okay first up Turtle Wax slick and slide pure wash so again uh only 1 o of each product was placed into 500 mL of warm water or 16.9 oz of warm water
in the foam Cannon container we're going to let that sit on the surface for 30 seconds to about a minute and I'm going to be bringing you in so we can have a look at what the foam looks like and you guys can drop opinions in the comment section below so here we have a look you're going to notice the same type of behavior for a lot of them so that um upper portion foam starts to lightly go down every now and then but the coverage was very good very good foam and now we're T
testing the rinsing capability of each one we're moving on to the uh Phoenix EOD Apex Auto Wash so again so you can have a look uh here at the type of foam that's on the vehicle do you guys prefer a thicker foam that clings on for longer do you prefer a runnier foam that's a question of personal preference for a lot some people just like the thick one some people like runer Foams um and yeah so let's have a look here on the surface what this looks like up close so you're going to notice um
the same pattern coming up and time and time again in this test um a lot of them work very well we're going to have a look at the pooling as well on the bottom so we can tell how thick how how much this accumulates but um so far so good a lot of things have changed in just these four or five past years let alone the past decades we were hard pressed to find any good snow foam at one point and now there seems to be more and more next up Chemical Guys Mr Pink um
very popular on Amazon and in stores um for the uh consumer also they're a brand that's um heavy on marketing they have a good YouTube presence as well um I'm not necessarily a fan of the entire lineup but there are some decent products uh in the range and this one here although it's not um marketed to be a snow foam type they have their honeydew snow foam which I think does an even better job which we had in the previous battle video um but it does decently well so even though it's not marketed as a
snow foam type uh it didn't do worse than the others so um it's maybe the lubrication that's not as good for the contact wash on this one in my experience but overall uh it seems to be rinsing off very well too just like the other ones so no real issues next up we have the auto fanatic7 snowstorm car shampoo so we're going to apply this on once again uh if you guys had any experience with any one of these snow Foams uh let us know it's always nice to have viewer feedback different people different countries
uh different regions different conditions like a lot of this sometimes you're a mobile detailers so you have to work outside I work in a controlled environment what about you guys if there's any diyers also have experience let me know sometimes too what's the customer experience like uh with these brands have you had a good experience a bad experience that's sometimes good to share with uh viewers as well so everybody can have feedback we have a great Community here and it's nice to to share thoughts so everybody can can know what's up so it went on
well the auto fanatic it rinses uh very very freely as well as you can tell great hydrophobics here from the roar coatings on my car absolutely love it uh once again now we have kosi GSF so this is the regular version the Cherry scented one they also have as I said the Christmas scented Limited Edition version smells even better so we're applying this on there this is one of the um more concentrated versions because they only require 20 ml per liter of water in the foam Cannon so um yeah that is very little quantity to
get decent foam all of them if you can notice even on a ceramic coated car they seem to be Clinging On fairly well so This Is Us applying this to a dry surface which helps with the product to cling and if you're the the theory as well of spraying on a dry surface is you're not diluting the product furthermore as if you were applying on a wet surface so I know some people like to wet first and then foam others like to foam on dry uh what do you guys prefer let me know so I
have different videos on that as well is it important to rinse before foaming or not does that really affect anything so next up we have the atams polishes megap foam the winner of the previous battle over 4 years ago so very very thick foam it's still a benchmark today I think for the thickness of the foam you're going to notice now um as we come to the uh last three snow Foams they are super thick hopefully it translates well on camera um I tried to be uh as equal as possible when applying this I'm not
a robot obviously but as you can tell I did uh a few sweeps so we did one two and three for top middle and bottom and redid a second time for each one of the snow foam so I tried to act in the same way to give everyone a fair chance here we had the same dilution ratios so you can tell on the bottom it's pooling up quite a bit this is that more of the uh shaving cream like texture for those who like super thick foam um once again no issues with rinsing with any
one of these so that's one thing I like to see no residue um if you guys work outside let me know if you've had any issues with residue control with any one of these snow Foams next we have incredible Suds by DIY detail uh owners um Ivan lroy and Nick mcer two professional detailers Ivan is from Canada Nick is from USA they're based out of the USA for the brand they have a great YouTube channel where they show a lot of tests and cool videos and they give a lot of insight it's very nice to
see two people discussing on uh issues in the car detailing world and giving you tips and tricks on how to use products that kind of stuff so very very thick here um you don't need to use a lot of the product to get great results like I mean yeah this is another one of those very thick ones it clings nicely to the surface it's going to pull that loose and uh dirt and debris for you to be able to rinse off look at the bottom there that more shaving cream like texture same in the bucket
you don't need a lot to get a lot of Suds uh from this so yeah very highly concentrated good ingredients on there great lubricity on the surface as well for the contact wash and this is another one that rinses freely so last but not least armor detail Supply shampoo plus so again can be used in a foam Cannon or in a wash bucket um a newer company so this is probably the newest one of the bunch um probably around the same time as DIY detail so there's more and more of these brands that take high
quality ingredients and they Pride themselves in quality products so yes the price might be a bit more expensive but you get a lot for your money and they provide great service and they're just responsive another brand that has their own YouTube channel they explain how to apply their products super well so here we see it up close now the shampoo plus this is how it clings this is another one of the uh three thickest foam so the atams megap foam the DIY detail incredible Suds and the armor uh detail Supply shampoo plus look at that
thickness shaving cream like texture out of just 1 oz in the foam Canon so that's pretty pretty good uh and we're going to rinse uh one thing I noticed with this one out of all of them this was the one that rinsed the easiest so um they all rinsed well but this one here took the cake it was even easier than the others oh man that was pretty awesome what did you guys think which one was your favorite before I dive into my thoughts and opinions drop a comment in the comment section is there one
that stood out to you uh for sure my garage uh was smelling like like crazy after all this um it was like eight back to back to back snow Foams used so this has to be the cleanest car in the world at this point right so let's dive into the thoughts and opinions about each one individually so first of all the Turtle Wax hybrid Solutions Pro slick and slide pure wash that's a mouthful uh I think Turtle Wax needs to do a better job with their naming that's way too complicated uh keep it a bit
more simple guys so this is one that is very very slick to the touch again we used all the smallest formats to compare in this video note that some also are available in a gallon size it's not the case for this one uh but bang for buck uh at the moment of this recording once again uh I'm filming this in early January 2024 uh the price is $20 for 64 o that's in US dollar of course so that's roughly 31 cents per ounce so um in this case again 31 cents per use so this is
the cheapest by far this can be used as a clay lubricant lots of slickness on the surface if you use it as a contact wash as well and uh well as we notice I think we can all conclude pretty much all of them foam decently well uh some a bit thicker than others but um overall there was none that was underperforming or that was too runny on the surface so I know some people might like runnier type snow Foams you can then adjust your dilutions to use even less if that's the case but uh it
was to be noted that 1 o of all of these did generate very good results of course I worked in a great environment I have uh very good equipment that I had very pure water as well so all of those factors contribute uh so take note of that we're going to talk about the factors that um influence how much foam how thick it is and all that stuff later on in the video so yeah this is the cheapest by far as far as price is concerned uh readily available this is a consumer type brand so
your big box store uh type brand uh for the next one this one here I think a lot of people s sleep on this or are not necessarily aware that Phoenix EOD they make a lot of great products and why it's called Apex autowash he partnered up with Brian from Apex autod detail Channel on YouTube Brian's a good friend of mine uh and he has his own line of um the BC line of car care products uh from the Apex surface protection and so this was a collab between both this has no scent in it
so for those of you who it's important to not have something that's scented uh this is Die free fragrance free just a pure shampoo um no additives no nothing in there like the majority of these by the way and pretty much all of them can be used both in the foam Cannon and in your bucket wash so they're very versatile so that's one thing I noted at this point is that um soaps are becoming more and more versatile you can use them in both matters so in your bucket for your hand wash and in the
foam Cannon for your pre-wash except for the Adams Mega foam this uh They Don't Really um advertise as a bucket wash type so this is more for the foam Cannon for the pre-wash but the rest of them can all be used in both ways so I I think that's very good this is one of them that is very very highly concentrated the Apex autow wash I mean even on their own instructions dilute half an ounce uh to about an ounce in the uh in the foam Cannon so you can use potentially even less than that
so a little is going to go a long way uh it's also one of the less expensive in the in the test uh so $9.99 us for 16 o that's 62 cents per ounce uh if you get the gallon format $ 39.99 so that comes down to 31 cents per ounce so it equals the Turtle Wax in price if you go for the bigger gallon size so bang for buck awesome and as a shampoo there's a reason why this took Awards in my Awards video uh this is almost as good as carpro reset for the
hand wash for me so a very very very good one uh next Chemical Guys Mr Pink now although a lot of people um dis don't not discount um don't consider Chemical Guys to be one of those good brands anymore they used to be very good I think 5 to 10 years ago especially when um Greg Masterson was there Greg was great for the YouTube channel uh when they had him on there uh he moved on to start his own line Masterson's carare um but those were the the good days and they do have a few
gems in the lineup if you know where to look I just think they're overcrowded with too many products like they they must have 10 or 15 different soaps 15 or 20 different spray waxes or whatnot so I think people get confused but there are some decent products this one is very popular I had it um in one of recent video on I think the uh was it the Amazon best sellers so this does very well on Amazon they Mr Pink uh it's made mainly for the bucket they don't necessarily talk about the foam cannon in
the instructions but uh well obviously we saw here that you can use it um one issue I had CU I also had this in the 15 car shampoos battle video as a car soap uh it doesn't have the lubrication that I would like out of a soap and for me for at the hand wash stage that is the most important thing is lubrication you want your mitt to be able to glide on the surface again less chances of marring the surface so this was not the best one for that but it is an expensive uh
so $9.99 for 16 O So same price as the Phoenix EOD that's 62 cents per ounce uh if you get the gallon size that's $ 39.99 so roughly 31 cents per ounce so then you're equal in um in value to the Apex Auto Wash from Phoenix EOD and the Turtle Wax so it is quite inexpensive and yeah it's just the lubrication part but it does smell nice I mean it still works and it does some foam it's not something I'm crazing about I'm crazy about I mean and it's not something I would rank super high
for snow Foams either it's just it's okay right uh let me know your experience and your thoughts by the way as long as you guys uh share your thoughts and opinions in a respectful manner we can all either agree to disagree or have different opinions it doesn't matter there's a lot of it that comes down to personal preference as well uh use something that you like and enjoy it and um if you like what you have there's no problems with that also these are readily available in auto part store so sometimes you're in a pinch
you just want to grab something off the shelf and you not have to wait for shipping and all that kind of stuff so um yeah that could be a great Savor if you don't have or if you're running out of shampoo and you need something quick right um the next Auto fanatic 007 snowstorm car shampoo this one here $1299 USD for 16 ounces or 81 cents per ounce blueberry scent oh by the way the chemical guys has a candy scent and the Turtle Wax has the tropical scent the Apex Auto Wash from Phoenix EOD is
unscented if that's important for you so blueberry scent for the auto fanatic uh pricing is still among the less expensive ones easily uh rinsable this one here is not available in a gallon size but you can also use this um in your uh pressure washer or with the foam Cannon or in your bucket wash for the hand wash um it does everything right um Phil has a YouTube channel the auto fanatic YouTube channel he's very thorough in his testing he does a lot of car modifications in his life um Phil is a friend I consider
him a friend at this point so we've exchanged a lot of cool uh top topics we've spoken about a lot of cool car related stuff he was big in the um Hi-Fi world as well for car stereos and all that stuff and uh yeah he just has some cool cars as well and he's really anal about getting his products right and tweaking formulas so um this is the latest 2023 formulation he had a few different ones before um very highly concentrated but what I like on this one so he's one that really takes care so
he tells you here on the label if you read that so foam output is dependent on on water gallons per minute of your pressure washer and your foam Cannon itself you can adjust foam intensity by adding or reducing water or soap in your Reservoir that is very very cool that he puts that on there it shows that he's an auto fanatic or somebody that really loves detailing as well so there are many factors that can influence the type of foam you get the richness the thickness and we're going to talk about those but he queued
into them on this so it kind of gives people a not a warning but letting them know how you can adjust your foam output to your taste depending on what setup you have it's very setup dependent um so kosmi GSF this is the Cherry scented one so uh pH 7 and A2 we can consider these pH neutral that that's fine doesn't have to be 7.0 on the dot um very very highly concentrated on this one the smallest size is this one 1 lit or 33.8 o at the moment of this recording 3099 us for 33.8
ounces that's uh 92 cents per ounce uh you can also get this in a bigger 1.3 2 Gall size at $94.99 or 56 per ounce so um yeah if you get them in bigger sizes even the more expensive ones you can drop that price down to roughly 50 cents for the more expensive ones instead of like this one uh that's almost a do per ounce in this size so it is on the more expensive but it is very highly concentrated if you look at the instructions for dilution they actually only recommend 20 milliliters per liter
of water so that's like what 67 o in uh those um in that one liter of water so that's not a lot of product so we actually used more in this test because we used the nouns for all of them and uh yeah it did quite well um this one is Cherry scented the regular GSF one but note that they have the limited edition gfx if you can get this one while it's still available in some places I know a lot of them sold out uh check the links in the description um it's the same
formulation the pH is a bit higher I'm guessing because of the stuff they had to I ph8 we still consider that neutral no problem um and they they even say here cleaning pH neutral formula so um yeah it smells like Christmas and a bottle as everybody States everybody I think to this date loves the scent um it's baked apples so yes it does smell like Christmas the scent is insane uh I like some scent especially for snow Foams there are some times where scents are not important for chemicals uh but because I work in a
closed environment in my garage I like it to smell good right so having snow Foams with a good scent is important to me or at least makes a difference makes the experience that more enjoyable um okay Adams megap foam on the more expensive ones here now so this is 1671 for 16 o or A1 for per ounce uh if you get the gallon size at $64.99 for the gallon or 51 cents per ounce uh one thing to be noted about this one it is still one of the thickest ones it lays down thick thick with
double k at the end right so yeah very very thick on this one not necessarily meant for the bucket wash on this one it might not have the lubrication you're kind of looking for for the hand wash uh but definitely in a foam Cannon for the pre-wash this is still one of the good ones this is the one that won the previous battle in September 2019 against the other snow Foams um no real cleaning potential we're using all of these by the way more for the lubrication for their pH neutral aspect more for regular maintenance
washes and for that initial pre-wash to uh lightly encapsulate that loose dirt and debris and to flush that off before you do your contact wash so a lot of people ask me should I foam rinse foam wash should I foam on dry foam on wet should I use a high pH should I use a pH neutral what well I have a bunch of videos on those I'll leave a few Linked In the description but if you type snow foam pan the organizer in the YouTube search bar you're going to find a lot of interesting discussions
uh tests of ph12 or ph13 versus pH neutral shampoos the difference in cleaning potential I go through all the explanations as well as when you would use uh each type there's also some acidic ones if I look at Caro dcap which is a ph6 or more acidic uh that one is mainly used in your bucket wash to remove mineral deposits on like water spots or if you have a clogged coating for example with accumulated minerals and Road salts that's great for that as well um or you can use it in your foam Cannon blanket it
let it dwell a bit again to remove those minerals so you can change the pH level depending on what you're looking to do uh but for your regular washes if you're like me and you wash your car twice weekly all I need for the pre-wash is something pH neutral I'm looking for that lubrication so you can uh I typically like nowadays to um uh put the snow foam on dry paint because it clings better especially if you have a protected vehicle in this test by the way the my vehicle was used for the demo and
it's ceramic coated I think it's more representative of what you guys might have out there because if you're watching my videos you likely love car detailing and so you have some form of protection on your paint right a wax a sealant or ceramic coating and so I wanted to use a vehicle that had protection on it so we can see how the snow Foams cling onto the surface or not uh versus if we had just used a vle with no protection on it that's not the use case scenario for 99.9% of my viewers who do
have protection so that's why I use the vehicle with protection in the video um so yeah I would um generally spray the snow foam on a dry surface let it dwell rinse and then you have the option to refoam again that will add that layer of lubrication on the surface and then do the contact wash uh or you can use the contact wash if there your car isn't really really dirty um you can go ahead and once it's rinsed do the contact wash you don't need to refoam before doing the the contact it really depends
on what works for you and by the way if you want to share what works well for you share your comments thoughts and opinions in the description below uh the next one incredible Suds by DIY detail and I think the name suits it right it does produce incredible Suds both in the wash bucket and it's very very thick uh I remember they had to change the um the labels here in the back I still see that they haven't necessarily change that yeah so you see here add four to 5 oun to your foam cannon that
is way too too much um Ian noticed and Nick as well when they were using this it was so highly concentrated that's way too much even an ounce in the foam Canon here uh was one of the thicker formulations out there so you definitely do not put four to 5 ounces that's way too much so um yeah one of the thicker ones in this formula uh it's a bit more goopy if you look at it here it was one of the thicker ones in this test so you see how it coats even the rest of
the the bottle so it was a bit more difficult to dilute um you can still get through it just note that shake your bottle well for your foam Cannon also I used warm water uh in this test so it does help to dilute the chemicals a lot more but this one here was just the one that was a bit more complicated uh it has a tendency if you just pour it in to drop down in the foam Cannon so again make sure you stir it up turn it upside down a few times you got to
get it homogenized and uh spread really well inside your water that's the only caveat but if not uh Berry scent very good uh $17 for 16 ounces with this one so about A1 six per ounce if you get the gallon size it's $74.99 for the gallon or 59 per ounce uh still one of the most expensive ones in this test but they use some high quality ingredients uh surfactant and a bunch of good chemicals in there uh I spoke about this uh in many videos and uh this one took one of the prizes as well
from one of the top three car shampoos of the um of the year it is very very good it was also featured in my 15 car soaps video so it's both in the foam Cannon and in the bucket it works extremely well it's just a bit pricey but everything else about it is good uh it is a pH 82 according to the brand so it's still pH neutral is because it's safe on waxes uh it's safe on sealant and ceramic Coatings absolutely no problem no worries about that it's nowhere near the higher alkaline versions uh
that I like to use for the deeper cleanings so it's safe on all surfaces absolutely no worries about that uh just has pop potentially a bit more bite than the uh ph7 type snow Foams uh but yeah so that's the the story on the incredible Suds uh last but not least so newcomer on this channel I did a full brand review of their entire lineup of products um they've been around now for what about a year they started somewhere in 2023 I think but they had been developing for years before that um so they do
very very good products um there's no doubt about it even their labeling I think this is one of the best ones from the entire one uh it's just a modern clean Aesthetics type thing I know a lot of guys love this if you watch YouTube videos out there you're going to see that the brand is really really well-liked and they're doing some good things they're very responsive to viewer comments um they seem to be very passionate about what they do and this is no exception so this is the shampoo plus uh their pH neutral fruit
or Berry scent $25 per 16 ounces so $156 per ounce like DIY detail these guys also Pride themselves in using higher quality raw ingredients in there crazy good lubrication everything about this soap is good uh including again the scent and if you read the instructions well this is already one of the higher concentrated ones cuz they only say one or 2 ounces um in the uh sorry in the foam Cannon is that what they said 1 to 3 ounces of course in your foam Cannon we only used an ounce and this one too was one
of the thicker formulas um that were that we sprayed at least from what I saw I don't know with you guys hopefully it translates well on camera uh but I could see the drippage on the floor as well and this definitely was thick so the three thickest that I could see were the megapoo the DIY detail incredible suds and the shampoo plus by armor detail Supply so if that's your thing U definitely you're going to be very pleased with this again only 1 o uh in the foam Cannon was used here and It produced some
thick thick Suds uh this was also for me the easiest one to rinse off so they were all easy to rinse absolutely no problems no residue left with any of them but if I had to pick one that was the easiest or freest to rinse would be the shampoo plus by armor detail Supply so is there a winner in this that is the tough question so where the winner was clearcut in the original one four years ago I think so much has changed uh and the brands the competition my God we can tell today like
there was none of them and we only used the nounce right that was the whole point we did some of them um like if we look at the auto fanatic they say that you can use up to 4 o of this in your foam Cannon but we noticed that that was not necessary uh at least with my equipment and in my test so only 1 o was used and I think all of them we can conclude they all did well on the surface there was none of them that were super runny none of them did
not cling well for that initial 30 seconds to about a minute and um yeah they all did well as far as that the scent they all smell absolutely amazing it's a question of personal preference um except for the Apex this one is unscented so if you're looking absolutely for one that has no scent uh well then your only solution in this case is the Phoenix EOD and it does work quite well but I mean tropical scent for the Turtle Wax you're looking at Candy scent for the Mr Pink uh you're looking at Blueberry for the
auto fanatic you're looking at a cherry scent for the coke Kim or their Christmas edition the baked apples uh you're looking at um the megap foam which has a Juicy Fruit Scent so like the the gum juicy fruit that smells pretty pretty good uh DIY detail uh once again the berry scent that I really like and the armor detail supply has another fruity Berry type scent so as far as scents are concerned they're all excellent um for lubrication if I'm looking at that cuz for me that's important right if I'm going to have something that
I'm also using in the bucket for the hand wash might as well get one of the more lubricated ones so the Turtle Wax definitely has that the Phoenix EOD is definitely one of those um the DIY detail definitely has that the armor detail Supply very very good lubrication so those are my favorite ones as far as lubricity is concerned that's my number one one criteria typically uh for hand soaps um they're all very good concentrated except perhaps the um The Chemical Guys was one of the runnier ones I should say still I think no issues
with thickness but to their defense they don't advertise this one as being used in a foam Cannon but the lubrication with the Chemical Guys is not my favorite one at least that's my opinion with my experience with these and so yeah it it would be very hard to pick a winner uh honestly uh if it wasn't for the price the armor detail Supply would be right up there I think um they know they're a smaller brand they're starting out so I can't hold it up to them it's also shipping issues sometimes when you're a smaller
brand you don't have the bigger discounts that the bigger brands have with volume so I'm sure they'll address that and perhaps find a better balance of their quality of products what I don't want them to change but perhaps find a way to decrease the price a bit but I mean sometimes you get what you pay for right so higher quality like the DIY detail it is one of the more expensive ones but you are getting quality ingredients out there and the results speak for themselves so if I had to get one for um overall value
so for the performance and for the price and just uh versatile as well uh it has to be this it was featured in my um 15 shampoo and it one where it did well for the value so this holds true once again it is the less expensive one of the bunch can be used in a foam cannon in your bucket wash also as a clay lubricant uh no additives inside there just a Pure shampoo um very good concentration in there um you don't need a lot as you guys saw only an ounce and it works
super well uh if I'm looking at cleaning power in the bucket wash for versatility um although this was a foam Cannon test we still want something that performs well I would have to give it probably the Apex uh Phoenix EOD so this one not only has tremendous value as well one of the less expensive ones in this test but does super well as a car soap and probably the next one I would have on this list uh because of the car soap would be the armor detail Supply shampoo plus and the DIY detail incredible Suds
in your bucket as well so those would be my three top performers for versatility I should say because you can use them both again foam Cannon and in your bucket and um yeah what else can I say they're all very very good so it's very hard to depict there I don't think there's one clear winner out of all of them so it's if you're looking for Value oriented I think the Turtle Wax clearly speaks volumes if you're looking for versatility uh I think the again armor detail Supply incredible Suds and the uh Phoenix EOD Apex
Auto was are going to be very very proud and happy to own um I could say the same about the7 snowstorm it's just that this one isn't available in gallon size I know for some people that's really important but the quality is there uh GSF is still relevant today that's another good one see it's very hard to the only I think in last position I would put the The Chemical Guys personally is just one that I'm not in impressed with uh but does it still work yes will it still foam yes can you still use
it in your wash bucket and be satisfied yes if you're in a pinch you need to grab something off the shelf and not wait for delivery um because you have to order it online you can go at your local auto part store and likely find it so ease of availability can play for some people but um yeah that's that's what I would say so what are the criteria by the way that can influence the amount of foam you're getting out of your foam Cannon so there are five general types at least for me factors that
can greatly influence how thick and how rich um foam you're getting and of course the suds as well in your bucket how much Suds you're getting the first being what type of pressure washer you're using so the higher number and the most important number you're looking for is gallons per minute so the water output the higher the GPM typically the more foam you're going to get so if you have something that's over 1.6 gallon per minute you should have no issues if you have an underpowered unit something between 1.1 to 1.5 GPM you might want
to swap the orifice a lot of foam cannons typically come with a 1.25 mm orifice uh if you swap to the 1.1 mm of course you're reducing the size of the orifice so you're increasing the pressure you're going to have a lot more foam come out so you can do a test with that be careful if you only have a 15 amp uh circuit breaker because that could trip um especially older Breakers I have 20 amp circuits in my garage so I have no issues with that um but yeah if you typically have higher gallons
per minute of water output like the 2.1 GPM unit I have with my cran I also have the active 2.0 that's another 2 plus gallon per minute unit so that gives you a lot of water output and thus translating to better foam um the second thing is going to be what type of foam Cannon you're using they're not all created equal some produce a lot more Foams than others um I have a lot of foam Cannon battle so if you again type foam Cannon battle Pan the organizer in the YouTube search bar you're going to
see them find one that suits uh your needs and your budget um but the one used in this test was one of the higher foaming ones very high performance um and it's I know it's well well-liked but if I look I have so many different foam cannons I must have like 10 or 15 different foam cannons so um yeah if you get a good one you should have no problems um getting some decent foam then there's the type of snow foam that you're using so not all snow Foams are created equally some are more concentrated
some produce a runnier type foam if that's what you want that's fine some produce a thicker type foam like the atams mega foam DIY detail uh and the armor detail Supply shampoo plus we all saw they produce thick thick foam so if that's what you're looking for look into those types of more concentrated style formulas or the ones that produce or generate more foam uh then the uh number four point is the dilution ratio so although your great starting point is to always follow the instructions on the label first and then readjust accordingly so of
course the more um shampoo you're going to put or snow foam the higher chances you have of having more snow foam output or more foam in the end but you you can also adjust if that's too much dial it back a bit if you don't have enough add a bit more so start my my um main recommendation is to always start by reading the instructions follow those first see what you have and then adjust the variables according to what you have right so you can either get a better foam Cannon you can add a bit
more foam or you can add less of the soap if you have too much foam basically you can play with the parameters but first start by creating yourself a benchmark use the instructions see where you're at and see what needs to be adjusted and the the fifth point last but not least is the water quality or the type of water so the better the water the less the minerals the higher chances you're going to get of more foam the better lubrication you're going to get the better the foam or soap is going to perform the
more sud you're going to get in your bucket as well so in my case I have a CR spotless water deionizer so that gives me zero PPM of minerals in water or parts per million so there's literally no minerals in the water left so there's no kind of contamination uh that the soap has to fight off right it is in pure water so all it has to do is do its job of foaming up and so you have a better chance of getting a better foam output if you have heavy water um or water that
has a lot of minerals so we call that typically hard water where you live well you're likely going to have less foam output and of course you're going to have less Suds in your bucket so just always keep that in mind so if you have hard water issues where you live it's not only an issue because it's going to leave water spots on your paint if you let the water dry up those that water evaporates and the droplets leave behind minerals which if left unattended can etch through their clear coat especially if you're washing outside
and you let your vehicle bake in the hot sun that can be an issue so you can get yourself a DIY um easily installable something like my CR spotless I made a video on that by the way uh so if you click water deionizer you Pan the organizer you can find that video uh it's a very simple setup or whatever water deionizer or filtration system could be reverse osmosis although are more costly but if you just want to add something quickly to your tap um a water deionizer is a great great way to increase the
efficiency uh of your soap or snow foam and also how many how much foam you're going to get and how much sud you're going to get in your bucket and uh it's also a great way to have zero water spotting issues because you could technically let the DI water or deionized water evaporate freely without you having to dry the vehicle and since there are no minerals there's no water spots so you get a 100% uh spotfree rinseless and washing experience so that's pretty cool so those are the five factors so so to um uh put
those back into perspective so number one is the type of pressure washer always remember more GPM of water output is better number two type of foam Cannon so not all foam cannons are created equal some have more foaming capabilities you can also swap the orifice to a smaller size if you have a lower powered pressure washer unit the type of snow foam in number three not all snow Foams are created equal so read the instructions play around with the dilution ratios cuz number four is the dilution ratios of your snow foam so look at what
works best for your setup and number five is the water quality so if you can get deionized water or reverse osmosis water or basically the water free of any minerals that is the best case scenario that's how you're going to get the most foam and the most Suds in your bucket so I hope all of this uh was interesting if that's the case smash a thumbs up button share this video with family and friends that might benefit from this information again I'll leave links to all this stuff in the description under the video for you
