[Music] the real reason they banned The Book of Enoch from the Bible what is the Book of Enoch about why was it banned from the Bible what does it contain that is so frightening that it must be hidden from the Holy Bible from the [Music] world The Book of Enoch is claimed to be written by Enoch who was the father of Methuselah and the great-grandfather of Noah the Ark Builder the book covers fascinating and mysterious topics such as the origins of demons and Nephilim fall of angels and a prophetic exposition of the Thousand-Year reign of
the [Music] Messiah clearly the book covers a whole lot yet it was unceremoniously removed from the Bible by Emperor Constantine and the Council of Nikia in 325 ad the question is why why was The Book of Enoch banned from the Bible what does it contain that is so worrisome that it had to be excluded from the Bible is there some kind of a conspiracy behind the removal is it true that it contains some secret that the early church fathers did not want us to see if you are curious to know the answer to these questions

Jesus and the apostles did not acknowledge the Book of Enoch as scripture it is true that some early church fathers highly valued The Book of Enoch but they never referred to it as scripture therefore we cannot view it as an authoritative word of God what about the claim that certain passages of the Bible were inspired by The Book of Enoch for example there is the speculation that the book of Jude 14 15 is a quote from The Book of Enoch and that Jude regarded Enoch as scripture let's take a look at exactly what Jude says
and do the comparison he says behold the Lord came with many thousands of his holy ones to execute judgment upon all and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly Deeds which they have done in an ungodly way and of all the harsh things which ungodly Sinners have spoken against him Jude 1: 14-15 then here is what Enoch says behold he will arrive with 10 million of the Holy ones in order to execute judgment upon all he will destroy the wicked ones and censure All Flesh on account of everything that they have done that
which the Sinners and the wicked ones committed against him Enoch 1:9 there are similarities but a close examination shows some differences in both texts for example while Jud refers to thousands of angels Enoch refers to Millions perhaps this is not very significant the Greek word in Jude that is translated as thousands is murias it literally means 10,000 when used in the singular form however when used as plural it means innumerable perhaps that is the reason for the discrepancy here is my take on this The Book of Enoch may not be scripture it may not have
been directly acknowledged by Jesus himself and by the majority of the Apostles but it seems to have influenced some passages in the Bible yet much of it is inconsistent with scripture number two The Book of Enoch is inconsistent with scripture The Book of Enoch contains narratives and Theological Concepts that are not consistent with accepted scripture for example according to the book in the early days of humanity Before the Flood of Noah cleansed the world there existed Watchers who were Angels tasked with overseeing and aiding humans teaching us righteousness and transferring special knowledge to us however
as The Story Goes these angels became infatuated with human women in spite of God's warning the Angels were defiant and started taking the women as wives this is what led to their downfall furthermore the marriages between the Watchers and human women produced unusual and strange beings Giants known as [Music] Nephilim the Nephilim were powerful and often violent beings causing much disaster and bloodshed on Earth as a result of their Disobedience and the subsequent chaos caused by their offspring God decided to punish the Watchers or Fallen Angel they were bound and imprisoned in the depths of
the Earth as a penalty for their transgressions the book also claimed that Enoch who is a righteous man acted as an intermediary between the Watchers and God basically the Fallen Angels asked Enoch to intercede on their behalf before God seeking forgiveness for their sins as you can see these stories as interesting as the they sound offer different views on our understanding of angels as shown in the Bible this inconsistency was another reason the Book of Enoch was not included in the Bible the second Book of Enoch also known as the book of the secrets of
Enoch is most noted for its description of multiple heavens and accounts of battles between angels and Devils the idea of multiple Heavens is not mainstream in Christian theology according to the book the first Heaven is just above the firmament here the Angels control atmospheric phenomena such as the falling snow and rain and the waters above in the second heaven Enoch finds Darkness a prison where Rebel angels are [Music] tortured in the third heaven he sees both Paradise represented as the Garden of Eden which is also guarded by angels and then hell where bad people are
[Music] tortured the fourth Heaven is the place of the movements of the Sun and of the Moon around the sun he sees Angelic creatures known as Phoenix's and choed there is also on this level a Heavenly Choir comprising Soldier Angels whose singing is wonderful and marvelous to God in the fifth Heaven Enoch finds some gregori that is soldiers of Satan that look like human beings but were giants they were in a state of limbo having not yet been condemned and Enoch convinced them to repent in the sixth Heaven he sees the angels in charge of
governing the cosmos and people these are the archangels who are above Angels they measure all life in heaven and on Earth and are appointed over seasons and years in this Heaven also lies the Angels who are over rivers and sea over the fruits of the earth and over every grass giving food to all living thing also in this realm reside Angels who write down all the souls of men all their actions and their lives before God in the seventh heaven Enoch now Guided by Gabriel is allowed to enter and seize the Lord on his throne
face to face but only from a distance this is where the legions of God's angels live in beautiful [Music] light the eighth Heaven is just below the upper firmament in which are stuck the [Music] constellations here resides muoth changer of the seasons and mover of the constellations the ninth Heaven is the upper firmament with fixed constellations and the changer of the seasons the 10th and final Heaven is where God's Throne resides and God's face may be seen up close this is where god holds court again as you can see these are highly depth and interesting
descriptions Unfortunately they are not mostly corroborated by the canonical Bible does it mean they are wrong we cannot say for sure but they are not consistent at least not in a large sense from what we know from the god inspired Holy Bible this is another reason the book was removed from the Bible number three there were doubts about the true authorship and authenticity of the Book of Enoch since it was written much later than the time of Enoch it couldn't have been written by him raising questions about its authenticity so one reason the Book of
Enoch wasn't included in the Bible is due to the belief that Enoch himself didn't author most of the book Number Four The Book of Enoch was also not accepted in the Torah the book was excluded from the Torah the Jewish religious texts that formed the basis of the Old Testament and foretold the New Testament the decision of Jewish Scholars and rabbis to exclude the book from the Torah influenced the Christian perception of its validity the main reason for Jewish rejection of the book is that it is inconsistent with the teachings of the Torah from the
standpoint of Rabin Judaism the book is considered to be heretical for example in 1 Enoch 40: 1-10 the angel fuel who is not mentioned elsewhere in scripture presides over those who repent of sin and are granted eternal life this is clearly not what the Bible teaches although some Scholars claim that fuel which translates to the face of God refers to Jesus Christ but it is not made clear in the book in conclusion ultimately the main reason the Book of Enoch wasn't included in the biblical Cannon is due to the belief that Enoch himself didn't author
the book and that it wasn't divinely inspired by God there is no Grand conspiracy by the early Christian fathers to remove the book because it contained Secrets they wanted to keep hidden so should you read The Book of Enoch yes I think it's probably a good idea to be familiar with the Book of Enoch if not for anything else it should give you a really interesting look into the way the Old Testament was interpreted in the years before the arrival of Jesus but be careful don't equate it with the Bible there are certainly good reasons
