[Music] hi I'm Cindy cloward with Riley Blake designs and today we are talking about in the wings machine embroidery using a USB now this is one of the first machine embroidery USB um projects that we uh offered to the Home sewing market so this is what it looks like in the packaging there's the USB for your embroidery machine and this is what you get in the USB a full pattern to make this in the wings quilt now it comes in two sizes the one the quilt behind me is actually from the original art Journal fabric
collection that Janet designed and this was a quilt kit and see all of those images those are raw Edge appli using her Arenal fabric well we use that for inspiration Janet's designed to create a machine embroidery in the wings project and look how fabulous it looks it looks so great in the big version and we have a larger version of this this is the smallest version in the in the wings applique machine applique but let's take a look what so special about this project first we have regular machine app now this is all done in
the hoop and then we also have this thread art and look how the thread art Blends all these colors so we have a fabric in the ground and then we have the thread that just Blends this all together using Janet's design then we also have this 3D standing applique so these are all made separate and then in the hoop they are applic onto this block so take a look at that you don't have to applique them separately they're done in the hoop once you've created the 3D uh freestanding applique so that's that's really interesting and
fun also I want to highlight on the back just like the original there was a matching game made with all of Janet's cool designs we've done a freestanding applique with a matching game too with all these cute little bugs now look at the blending work that 3D art blending work we've got all the matching little applique bugs in here let's put them together so that's a fun game that comes in the USB so I'm going to put these in back here and let me just highlight some of the interesting things again we've highlighted this before
that Janet has her own cover stitch design that was was designed just for Janet and so that's really interesting we're also going to take you through a quick demo of free standing applique to show you how we create these cards so we're going to show you that in the pattern there's a lot of different stabilizers that are referenced that you use to create this look and I think you'll agree it just turned out so darling and again all of this is done in the hoop and we take you through step by step on how it
