Hello there, my dear cousins! How are you doing? In today's video, I have some valuable insights to share with you regarding the sacrifices you must make in order to truly attain wealth.
If you have been yearning for success, you must be prepared to let go of specific things along your journey. This truth is not simply a possibility, but an inevitable reality. The challenge lies in the fact that many individuals commonly suggest that you need to complete numerous tasks and put in immense effort to achieve your goals, yet the sacrifices they emphasize may not be the most suitable ones.
This is precisely why I strongly encourage you to stay with me until the conclusion of this video. By doing so, you will achieve a clear understanding of the six essential sacrifices. Cousins, if you don't know about the channel yet, don't stop subscribing because it's very important, it's a great thermometer for me to understand if this type of content is cool, if it's important to you, okay?
So here we go. People go around talking about false sacrifices, but I've put together six real sacrifices for you. So let's start with the first one.
The first point is to sacrifice present comfort for future comfort. So inevitably you always have a decision to make. You can enjoy something today or you can enjoy something better in the future.
If you're at point A, but you want to get to point B, you're going to build your own path to get there. In order to get from that point to another, you'll have to sacrifice. So, for example, you're sitting on the sofa today.
You're going to give up your comfort, your sitting comfort, so that in two years' time you can travel and see the Caribbean. That's more or less what I'm talking about. You're going to sacrifice buying an Onix, for example, a relatively popular car, so that in twenty years' time you can buy a Mercedes.
And since we're talking about cars, it's important to understand that buying a car is often a liability and we have to be very careful not to build up too many liabilities, we need to build up assets. The right time to acquire a liability is when our assets can already cover the expenses that will be generated as a result of the liability. And while we're on the subject of attaining wealth, it's impossible for any human being to become rich in life, and not at the end of life, without undertaking in some way.
It's simply impossible. Except that sometimes you may not have the aptitude to be an entrepreneur and you may be very upset thinking that this is why you will never become a rich person, but in fact there are some possibilities. So if you can't start a business from scratch, what can you do?
You can invest in stocks. When you buy a stock, when you invest in variable income, you've become a shareholder in the company and so you're doing business as usual, because you're a partner in a business that can grow exponentially. So if you set up a technology company from scratch and it's very successful, you'll get rich.
Now, if you buy stocks in Apple and that company grows, you'll also get rich. So investing in stocks is a possibility to help you get there. The problem is the difficulty of choosing the right stocks.
The next sacrifice is one that goes far beyond common sense. The second is getting out of balance. You have to sacrifice your balance.
There's no such thing as a great result, Without sacrificing your balance, it's safe to say that the result is nothing short of impressive. You will never come across a magazine with a photo of someone flaunting their chiseled six-pack abs, because achieving that kind of physique requires an imbalanced approach. Bloggers may claim that they indulge in chocolate, cake, and fried food while maintaining a toned body, but that simply isn't true.
On the contrary, you will never find a self-made billionaire who didn't work harder than the average person. However, it is important to be cautious. Some individuals believe that working excessively, such as eighteen hours a day, without considering the value of their efforts will lead to success.
This mentality is flawed. We need to work in the right way, with the right intentions. Even if we put in long hours, it is futile to disregard the importance of being productive.
People often focus solely on the effort they put in and overlook the rewards they must earn. Therefore, it is pointless to overexert ourselves by working tirelessly and assume that it automatically equates to wealth. The truth is, you are unlikely to become rich solely based on hard work alone–that is the natural trend.
You always have to work with added value in mind. So we have to change our culture, which today rewards effort and we need to reward merit. If we reward merit, then we'll start to add value and we'll start to receive a return.
and we'll begin constructing our legacy. Therefore, in my opinion, there is no purpose in toiling for eighteen hours each day. Personally, you could dedicate merely a single hour or even choose not to work at all, as the outcome holds utmost importance.
Ponder on the significance of my companion here. my editor here hardly works at all. The third sacrifice entails abandoning mediocrity.
Why is it necessary to sacrifice mediocrity? Because most of us aspire to be average. Hence, if everyone goes out on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I too will engage in social activities.
Why do this, you may ask? It is because if I dedicate my time to work on a Friday night or early morning, people will likely deem me crazy. If I choose to focus on a project that I find fascinating while everyone else is socializing, I am likely to be labeled as crazy.
However, it is essential for us to break away from the norm, as wealthy individuals do not conform to it. They operate on a different plane precisely because they do things differently. So, what do ordinary people do?
They go to work, take lunch breaks, dine out, and desire to enjoy their lunch breaks. One thing that frustrates me is encountering people who are returning slowly from lunch when I am heading back. The real reason for this sluggishness is that their lunch break time isn't over yet.
Honestly, this is nonsensical. Such behavior is characteristic of mediocre individuals. Mediocrity does not indicate incompetence but rather, being average.
However, one must ponder whether they desire to be average or aim for excellence and place themselves among the elite. I constantly endeavor to be at the pinnacle. Additionally, the fourth significant sacrifice is to relinquish the need for approval.
One crucial concept we must grasp. is that you'll never be liked by everyone if you're at one extreme, one pole. Just stop and think Certainly, we all know that there are those captivating leaders, but there are also numerous individuals who constantly criticize others as they grow older.
They may say things like, "Oh, this person used to manipulate their superiors," or "This individual was just lucky; they aren't even skilled at it. I, on the other hand, am better than them and deserve recognition. " Have you ever noticed this kind of behavior?
It appears that anyone who stands out or excels is quickly attacked or repressed. Therefore, please understand that this might happen to you as well, if it hasn't already. To effectively deal with this situation, we must learn to filter out such comments.
While some comments may be insightful, many are merely unhelpful. The goal here is not to have a fragile emotional state, but rather to become emotionally resilient. Hence, in the context of discussing resilience, it is essential to sacrifice our fragility.
To put it simply, we need to become antifragile. Let me explain more or less what that is. Something that is fragile is easily breakable.
For instance, if I were to punch a wall, and it breaks, it can be considered fragile. However, the opposite of a fragile wall is not a wall that is hard and doesn't break. Instead, it is a wall that actually becomes stronger when it is hit.
This means that in our lives, we often experience extreme situations, where we make significant progress or collapse completely. These moments rarely occur in ordinary circumstances. Take a moment to reflect on this concept.
You may think you know someone when you interact with them on a daily basis at work. However, the truth is that you don't truly know them. It is only in the most extreme situations, when they are under immense pressure, that you get a glimpse of who they really are.
This applies to you as well. People don't become rich simply by earning a high salary. True wealth is acquired by creating something substantial and enduring, but along the way, facing setbacks and challenges is inevitable.
So, it is crucial for you to become more antifragile; to be able to thrive and grow stronger when facing crises. Take inspiration from the aviation sector. Each time an airplane crashes, lessons are learned and improvements are made, resulting in a safer industry overall.
Similarly, you should learn from your own mistakes and strive to become a more antifragile person. Additionally, it is important to let go of perfectionism. Those who constantly pursue perfection, who fear making mistakes, and who are obsessed with planning everything meticulously, often find themselves unsuccessful.
Perfectionism can ultimately hinder your progress rather than benefit you. So there are people who are going to make a business plan. I'm going to set up my business, I'm going to spend a whole year setting up a business plan, studying the market and so on.
When that person tries to apply something, someone else has already done it, the scenario has changed, the market has changed, there's new information. So there's no point. What we need to understand is that mistakes and volatility are part of the game.
It's going to happen. I make a lot of mistakes every day. And so will you.
You will certainly make mistakes and so will I and that's part of our world. What we need to do is understand that when we make mistakes, we need to turn that mistake into a learning experience. Because mistakes are between you and success, they are not the opposite of success.
When I understood this, it helped me a lot, because I started to become more Resilience is the key. But what does it truly mean to be resilient? It isn't about trying until you succeed, but rather trying different approaches until you do.
Don't allow a mistake or setback to discourage you, and let go of perfectionism. Share your thoughts by clicking here to let me know if this video has been valuable to you. Don't forget to mention any daily sacrifices you make that push you further ahead.
I'm eager to hear if there's anything I may have missed.
