I've built cloud skills that has written sales copy that is currently producing millions of dollars a year in revenue. Now, of course, there is a specific system I use to build it because AI written copy by itself often tanks conversions. It sounds generic.
It lacks credibility and people can smell it from a mile away. It doesn't sound human. So, in this video, I'm going to walk you through the step-by-step process that I used to build them so you can create them for yourself to make them sound like a direct response pro.
also to make it consistently sound like you and follow the frameworks that actually converts. Whether you're writing emails, ads, VSSLs, landing pages, it doesn't matter. This video is going to walk you through exactly how to do it.
Okay, so you're obviously going to need a Claude account. Now, I believe you can use the free plan. I recommend the $20 a month plan cuz you will quickly run out of the usage that you they give you on the free plan.
So, we are going to build three skills today, okay? And this is actually how I think about it. You have your foundational skills.
We're going to build a skill that is going to allow it to consistently sound like you. And then we're going to build our specific skills that write specific pieces of sales copy. Like if you need an ad or you need an email, I'm going to show you how to build those skills.
Okay. So, the foundation of all of this is training on how you want it to write. So, these are the principles that you want it to follow whether it's writing a VSSL or a landing page or an ad.
Okay? And I got this idea from James the Boring Marketer. He made a skill called elevated direct response copywriting or something.
And basically the idea was he really likes the style of direct response copywriting, but he doesn't want to sound, you know, sleazy and overhypy and and all that stuff. So he wanted Blaude to go and learn from people like Alex Hermosi and Cody Sanchez and these people that he likes their writing style, learn how to write like that, and then translate that into all of the other prompts that he'll he'll do. So we're going to build that right now.
So I'm going to use Whisper Flow. It's going to make this whole process a lot easier. So definitely get it.
Again, it's a free tool. you can get. Hey Claude, I just added the skill creator skill.
Can you help me make an elevated direct response copyrightiting skill? I want to model people like Alex Ramoszi, Cody Sanchez, Justin Welsh, and other direct response goats while avoiding a hypy fluff of some of the direct response people. The skill should be able to use to write headlines, VSSLs, emails, body copy, etc.
It should focus on the core principles of writing but avoid learning any concrete frameworks for writing that make the skill too rigid. So I just hold down my key and the whisper flow is going to transcribe that. It's going to put in the prompt which makes this a lot easier and I'll send this and you'll actually get to see right now it use the skill creator skill in action because it's going to reference it in this chat.
Okay, you can see right here reading the skill creator guide to understand best practices for building skills. So that it's using a skill right here that's preloaded. But what am I doing here?
So I I I want because I've already built this before. I want this to just be the foundation, right? To learn the style of how I want it to write, right?
I don't want it to focus on, you know, these different frameworks. You could certainly do that in this one, but for my use case, I don't want it to know any specific frameworks that it's going to supersede over my other prompts. And I I build these layers of I'm using multiple skills at once.
And again, you'll see how I do that in a minute. All right. So, it used the skill and now it's going to ask me some questions to get some better understanding of what I need.
Okay, so it's saying what types of copy do I write? And then it says, what are the key differences between the elevated style you want versus typical direct response marketing? I'm thinking things like no fake urgency, credible proof, clear value proposition, strong specificity.
What else? I said, you know, I frequently write these things. I gave it some examples.
You know, can you write me a headline for my funnel building offer that helps creators turn more of their traffic into customers? Here I mean email for prospects who filled out an application but didn't book a call based on this example. And I said agreed on all the things that you said.
I said, "We think I think we should research the people I mentioned as well to train the skill with examples. " And then it came back and it actually went and it looked at Alex Ramos, it looked at Cody Sanchez, it looked at Justin Walsh, and it's reading their copy, right? It's starting to understand, it's actually reading some of the different principles that Justin Walsh talks about in his newsletter.
So, it's learning those things, which is just awesome, right? Then it goes and it actually gave me a little bit too much on the framework style. I didn't want again to use like these specific methods.
This could be good. Again, in my use case, I don't feel like I want it to to have that. But here we have a skill, right?
I can continue to refine from here. But we have a skill here, right? And it has these main key things, specific outcomes, no hyper manipulation, authentic proof, model for the goats, right?
And all you have to do is get copy to your skills and it's going to add it into your account and then you can use it in any prompt you want. In my case, I still wanted to go a little bit more specific. So, I asked to narrow down, right?
because we're using this as the foundation. We're going to create additional skills. This is going to be step three for specific pieces of copy.
So on those ones, that's where we'll pull in the pastor framework or the VAF framework or these different things that we need for those specific pieces of copy. But on this one, we just want the foundation. So I I told it that it revised it and now we have this elevated direct response copywriting skill that we can use again in any chat.
All right, so that's the foundation. But how do we actually get this to now sound like you, right? not just sound like Alex Rossi or Cody Sanchez or Justin Wash.
How do we get it to sound like you, but still applying the principles, right? To kind of take your tone to the next level. What I did is I created a skill called tone requirements.
Okay? Now, I do this for a lot of clients. So, I'm doing this in a way that can be repeated time and time again.
If you're just doing this just for yourself, you would probably do this a little bit different and you would just train into the skill exactly how you talk, but it's the same process, right? So, I wanted to create a tone requirements prompt basically that I could use in future prompts for writing marketing copy, right? So, we work with a lot of clients and some of them, you know, they have they're they're great copywriters already.
They have a YouTube channel that we can pull from tons of copy on or they have ads and some of them have nothing, right? And maybe they're not great public speakers naturally, right? They're great business owners, but they haven't done a ton of copyrightiting.
So, I said their tone sucks and it's boring and I don't want to use it. What suggestions do you have? So, what it came up with was kind of this two-pronged approach for clients with tons of content and the right skill.
It would learn from them, but it wouldn't supersede anything in the elevated direct response copyrighting skill. Again, that's why it's so important you have that foundation, right? So, if there's things that they're doing that counteract the elevated direct response marketing skill, it just it avoids that.
It doesn't learn that and it applies their tone with the elevated direct response copyrightiting skill in this tone requirements output that it's going to give me. If they don't have a lot of content, what it rather did is I have them fill out a form, right? So, I ask them some questions about how they talk and you how they would say certain things and then I feed that back in to Claude, right?
And it creates the tone requirements. Another hack when you're doing this, once you create the skill, you can ask it, hey, what's the perfect prompt to make the skill work the best? So in this case it said the prompt would look like analyze this content and create a a refined tone guide for client name cury paste or transcripts/content extract their authentic voice but elevate it using the elevated direct response principles right so it's it's again going to use that skill if their tone is too corporate or boring suggest how to make it more engaging while keeping their essence I think this is what takes it from sounding like generic AI written copy to actually sounding like the client I I bring this to clients and I tell clients hey this is drafted with AI when it is drafted with AI and then I edit it from there.
And often times it's so so close to how they actually sound because it's learned like when we're pasting in transcripts, we might do 50 pages of transcripts, right, from YouTube videos. So it knows exactly how they talk and what it spits out that we paste back into these prompts is this full tone profile. So it gives a voice summary and it gives these different dimensions, right?
How formal they are, how much energy, how direct they are, some dos, some don'ts, some forbidden words, and some voice examples. Now, this is like, you know, that's this big. What it actually gives me for clients is like this big, right?
It has tons of examples of dos and don'ts. I have tons of examples of forbidden words. Has tons of examples of real quotes from the client again that every prompt is going to learn from and use.
This is it's just a gamecher. Okay. So, this is the second skill you want to build.
Again, if you're doing it for you, just follow this process and create a you know, I would create a Ryan tone profile skill, right? All right. And I would I would call on it every time I would do a prompt that I wanted it to sound like me.
If I'm doing it for a client, I can create this tone profile generator. And then I can just paste this in each prompt, right? And it's going to use that the same.
All right? So that's the second skill. The third skill you're going to need is the specific skills for the specific types of copy you want written.
So if you want emails written, you're going to follow these instructions for emails. If you want a sales page written, which is what we're going to do right now, you would follow this example for your sales page. Again, I'm going to come in here and I'm going to use Whisper Flow.
I'm going to say, "Hey, Claude, I just added the skill creator skill. Can you help me make a sales page copy generator skill? I want to give you real examples of real sales pages that I like with a specific elements that we're going to need every time we do a sales page.
And then the goal is to feed you back our business and offer details for a specific client. And then you're going to call on the skill as well as using the elevated direct response copywriting skill to create the specific elements that we need. You're not going to add any elements.
You're not going to remove any elements. You're going to learn the specific elements. What do you need for me to get started?
All right. So now it's going to spit out ex again exactly what we need. So you can see how this works because this just changes a lot.
And obviously the skills are amazing. What prompts you give it? What how much context you give it?
How much you know you even know to give it. Like this is the important stuff right here that takes us to the next level, right? Okay.
So it's reading the skill creator skill. It's going to ask me some questions. All right.
So it wants real sales page examples. Okay. So we're going to try this.
What I've done in the past is I've just given it a Google doc with like, you know, we need a sub headline, we need a eyebrow headline, we need a headline, we need body copy, we need CTA copy and I just paste examples in each one of them, but oh, okay. Actually, it does it does want that. So, let's go ahead and let's do this.
So, I'm going to give it a few clients websites. Let's go to shotiq. com.
This is a client we've we've been working with for like three and a half years. You might have seen our case study that we did where they were on Joe Rogan's podcast and we built this funnel that doubled their conversion rate before they went on that podcast. This is that one.
Okay, so one cool tool that you can use for something like this is called the HTML to text. Okay, I'm sure there's a few of these. You just paste the URL in here.
You hit convert to text and then it's going to give you all of the text. Okay, you just copy that. Okay, so I'm going to say sales page one.
I'm just going to paste that in. I'm going to now go and do this for a couple more. So I gave it two examples, but I do want to give it some more concrete examples.
So, I want to give an example from one of my clients, George Gammon. He has a massive YouTube following and we built this funnel for him. Uh, and he's just he's an expert in investing.
You know, testimonials from guys like Robert Kiasaki, right? Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. So, we're going to pull this in and we're going to show Claude, you know, eyebrow headline and we're going to give it real examples.
I was going to say, you know, example, and we're going to pull these in so that it knows exactly how to write these things. It's going to learn what we want, right, from both of these examples. All right.
So, I actually just sent the prompt a little bit too early. And it because of the examples, it was able to ask me if anything is missing, right? And I I literally was going to come here and say that simple.
Say, "Yes, the FAQ section, the guarantee language, and closing CTAs are all missing. I do want those added. " And then it's actually asking me what client inputs will you feed in, right?
I'm assuming things like, and it'll give me these. The client inputs that I feed in, we have this consistent list that we use. One of those is that tone profile for the client that we went over in the last skill.
And the next is information on the guarantee. You know, specific testimonials or expert testimonials. You know, if we have Robert Kiasaki, we're going to give that.
If we have member testimonials, we're going to give that. If we have, you know, specific credibility markers like let's say Kenny Mry, uh, who's on this page, like manager of $1. 5 billion in real estate.
If we were building a funny funnel for Kenny, we'd mention that there. Uh, any bonuses, right? We're giving the full offer structure, all of your credibility, right?
your solution, who you're helping, what, you know, what problems you're helping, all that information, right? So, I'm gonna give it all this so you can see like it is spitting out so much stuff. Okay, so it's spitting out, you know, the prerequisites, spitting out the different elements we need.
It's tying back into the other skills that we have. It knows that you're going to have a tone profile and it's going to it's explaining exactly how to use all of this. All right, here we go.
So, it says here's your sales page. Copy generate a skill. So, you got to hit this button.
All right, so the skill is now my account. I'm just going to ask it now, what's the prompt I should use to get the best output? And it wants me to paste in all the information that we already have.
Okay, so let's actually try this right now. And you're again, you're going to see how powerful this is. All right, so it gave me the prompt and it basically just wants again those business offer and details and tone requirements that I told it I was going to give it.
And then it just says generate sales page copy for client name using the sales page generator copy skill. Read the skill and the elevator direct response style skill before writing. Right?
So it is telling me to call on both of those skills and then just give it information. So, I just did that and now it is creating the copy right now. Okay, CTA copy get instant access.
Pretty good. Again, we could if we wanted it to always add a benefit, start improving your score now for, you know, an example like this one. We could do that.
We could give a feedback and and ensure that the CTA copy is always going to have a benefit. Eyebrow headline, you're shooting 295, 26, maybe 27s. You know, you could shoot a 300, but every time it matters, you drop one or 200 of the nine.
Right? This probably makes no sense to you unless you are an archer. Uh before this client, this is really, really good copy.
Main headline, how to shoot your first 300 round and stop leaving points on the target. Sub headline, the exact execution, pressure management, and equipment setup I use to shoot perfect rounds at Vegas, Lancaster, and Indoor World Series broken down so you can apply to your next league night. Decent, right?
Might be a little bit too specific to like league night cuz some of these people are professional archers who are going to buy this. But again, like this is pretty good stuff. It goes over his different credibility here.
I do think it learned I kind of saw this in the skill as it was going. it only wanted to do four bullets cuz in the examples I gave it only had four bullets. In this case, he has so much credibility.
I think it'd be beneficial to just list it all. So, I'd probably go back and say, "Hey, can you tweak the skill to create as many lines of credibility as you can? " Right?
So, it's giving us literally all of this copy again in one prompt. Right? This is why this is so amazing.
So, you can follow this exact process. it' be a lot easier actually to write emails, to write ads, things that often have the same structure that it can learn from and it can spit out something that's 80% 90% of the way there that you just come in and you tweak and you edit and allows you, it's allowed me to test a lot more for clients. We write copy we would have never been able to write before, right?
We're doing more. It's not because we're, you know, we're trying to be lazy and we don't want to write copy. We're doing stuff that we just couldn't do otherwise, right?
We recently used this process to write it was like 20 something emails in an email automation for a client that were really out of date, right? We we wanted to do it. It's not something that I would ever have time to do, but we can follow this process and draft them super super quick.
So, hopefully you enjoyed this video and you use these cloud skills and it allows you to write better and more copy for your business. If you enjoyed this video, YouTube thinks you'll enjoy this one as well. I've built cloud skills that has written sales copy that is currently producing millions of dollars a year in revenue.
