And when you reach such a high motivational audience, the chances of your product or service being sold increases. But learning Google Ads platform is one thing, everyone learns it. But running it by continuously monitoring it is a very big challenge.
Whether you run an ad for your business or for your client's business, continuously monitoring and running these campaigns becomes a challenging task that takes a lot of time. There are a lot of boring tasks that you have to do again and again. In today's video, I will tell you a method that you can set up in your ad account in 5-10 minutes and that method will continuously increase the performance in your ad account without stopping, without getting tired, 24x7.
Hello everyone, I am Amit Tiwari from amitiwari. net and in today's video I will tell you a secret way to set up Google Ads. If you have run your Google Ads account for some time, then you know that there are 3 most important parts of any Google Ads account.
Number 1 is your keywords. Number 2 is your ad's copy or text. And number 3 is your landing page.
The keywords that you set in your ad account, Google shows your ads for the search terms related to those keywords. People reach your landing page and purchase your services. Now, the search words, the search terms that Google shows your ads after matching them with your keywords, these are shown in the search terms report in Google Ads account.
A good advertiser keeps an eye on these search terms and whatever search term he finds useful or the search term that people repeatedly hit on, repeatedly search on, those search terms are picked up and added to their keywords list. What happens with this is that in your Google Ads account, your good, useful search queries start getting added automatically. Your ad's score increases, its quality score increases and your ad starts giving more results in a low budget.
So, what is the important step here? You monitor which search words are there in your search terms report that people are repeatedly using, your ads are being shown, so that you can add these keywords, add these search terms to your keywords list and increase your ad's quality and score. So, what is the manual work?
You will have to monitor daily and if it is a high budget ad, you will have to continuously monitor which search terms are performing well and then add them to your keywords. Now, this is a boring task, but we can automate this task very easily and for this we will use the script editor in Google Ads. You don't have to learn coding, this code will be provided to you.
I will go to the computer screen where I will show you what this code is, how to customize it as per your needs and then how to use it on your ad account. After using it, we will run it in the wild and see if it is working or not. So, let's go to the computer screen and make this whole setup.
Now, those who have never used the search terms report, I will show you the search terms report. I have opened the search terms report. To open the search terms report on your account, you will have to come to the campaign tab.
Inside the campaign tab, you will see the search terms report. Now, after coming to the search terms report, if you see, there are a lot of search terms here that people have used. So, here the search term dentist in Mira Road, this search term has got 20 clicks.
What was its impression? 175. What is its CTR?
11. 43%. This means that this is a relevant query.
It is a relevant search term. But there can be a lot of search terms which are not relevant at all. For example, if I sort this table on the basis of CTR, you can see that some search terms are like Aditya Dental Clinic.
Aditya Dental Clinic is not the name of the client of this account. That is why its CTR is 0%. So, what does it mean that CTR is less?
The search term which is visible here is actually not relevant. Google is automatically showing it, but that search term is not relevant. So, in this situation, we should not add such search terms in our campaign as a keyword.
So, this minimum CTR setting prevents unnecessary search terms from being added as a keyword in your campaign. So, let's come back here. Let's sort it on the basis of clicks.
And here you can see that all the search terms which are good search terms have minimum 7 clicks. And their CTR is at least 10%. So, let's decide that our clicks should be minimum 7 clicks.
And our CTR will be 20%. Now, the script we are going to use is this. This is a normal JavaScript script.
So, if you know JavaScript, you can understand it in a better way. Those who don't know JavaScript, they just need to understand two lines. Number one is variable minimum clicks.
That means how many clicks you want to add as a keyword in your campaign. Let's open the search terms report of this account for a minute. You can see that the search terms report is showing different search terms which Google used and our ad showed.
For example, Dentist Meera Road is not our keyword but still people searched it and Google showed our ad. And after showing the ad, the number of clicks is 20. And our CTR is 11.
43%. I will come to CTR in two minutes. But let's see the clicks here.
It is 20 clicks. That means if I put 10 minimum clicks in my script, then due to this setting of 10 minimum clicks, these search terms will be added but Dentist Meera Road will not be added because it has 9 clicks which is less than 10. So what is CTR?
CTR means click-through rate. That means if your ad is shown 100 times for a particular search term, then how many times someone is clicking on that ad. When this particular Dentist Meera Road search term ad is shown 100 times, then people are clicking 11.
43% of the time. The very low CTR value means that your ad is not relevant for that query. Google has shown it, but it is not relevant.
So we keep our relevancy term higher so that only good quality search terms are added in the keyword. CTR basically shows the relevancy. So let's come back to our script.
And here you can see the variable minimum click number is 10. The 0. 05 number here means 5%.
I cannot write a full number here. I have to give value in percent. So when I have to write 5%, I am writing 0.
05. Because 5 divided by 100 is 0. 05.
So if you want to target 10% CTR tomorrow, then you have to write 0. 1. If you want to target 50% CTR, then you have to write 0.
5. So right now, I want to target 20% CTR. So I will enter 0.
2 here. After this, I have to use this script. So I select the entire script, copy it, come back to Google Ads account and paste my script here.
After pasting, I have to click on the preview button so that the script is saved. Now script is saved. Before running it, let's preview it.
Click on the preview button. The script will run and Google Ads will tell us if there is any problem in the script. In the changes window, you can see the changes.
You can see the list of keywords that have been added. In logs, one keyword has been added. But not many keywords have been added.
Since this is a demo account, I will reduce the setting to 0. 05. I am targeting 5% CTR.
Once again, I save the script. Click on the preview button. Now we will see what happens.
One keyword already existed here. It has been skipped. The third keyword has been added.
The script is working. You can see the status of the two keywords. This doesn't meet editorial guidelines.
This issue is related to this account. It has nothing to do with the script. You can use the script.
To run the script, click on the run button. Now it will apply to your account. The script has been run and saved in your account.
But you want the script to run automatically. Otherwise, you will have to run the script again and again. Here, in this window, you have a solution.
Here, we click on this column called Frequency, on this edit icon. And after this, we can decide when we want to run this script. Do we want to run it daily, hourly, weekly or monthly?
Right? Or if you want to run it at a particular time, then if you click once, you can select date and time. But basically, these types of scripts are run daily.
If you have a very big account, then you can run it hourly as well. But otherwise, we can run it daily. Here, you just have to select the time.
From which time to which time do you want to run it? Select your time. And then, after this, save it.
This script will automatically run at the same time daily. Your life will become easy. Isn't this an easy way?
You can automate your account with just a few codes. You can increase the quality of your ads day and night without any intervention. You can increase its score.
