welcome to the video was it the money that made me Papa no turnip it is the seven that was the sign of me so this week's book of the week is the shallows how the Internet is changing the way we think read and remember actually started this book right around 200 pages it was such a slow start to be honest so I kind of put it down went for another book but now I'm back to read the last 200 pages which I can apply a lot more but I look how dirty my desk is um
yeah shallows I'll let you know how it is I'm around a hundred and twenty pages through so guys I took an interest in the book the shallows again because I make my money through this and I make my money through this I spent a lot of time on social media now the problem with that is your attention span just gets so so short I mean I meditate pretty much just to counteract this think about it everything on snapshot on Instagram it's all just so so quick and even things on YouTube like most people don't have
that attention span to watch your video more than 12 15 minutes now I get that number one people are busy number two there's just so much out there that it's hard to you know keep people's attendant for a long time as a marketer that's basically your job I do as much as I can right now to counteract this just making sure that what I'm doing my work when I'm deep in my zone just putting my phone in the other room making sure I meditate to try and counteract just the effects of social media like when
I spend a lot of time on social media in a day a lot of time doing client work stuff like that I just feel so stupid at that in a day and I have to meditate something like that just to you know get my focus on one place really so that was I guess my long talk about social media and the shadows we'll get 427 and then show up on you baby no it's all I don't show me on don't be shy babe [Music] [Music] alright guys so here our culture Jim just finished up a
lil edit with Peter basically I just ran a mock week for them who want me to come along as their brand manager so show them you know the whole process show them the amount of growth they can expect I had a really really good first week so now I just gave him a little time to think about it and then hopefully move forward and do some awesome awesome stuff cuz this place is so so cool let me show you guys wrong I mean you got all that equipment over there Sisley this place is like you
don't really get stuff like this in London which is super super cool ok look how big this place is all that stuff over there you got the turf which is like super cool that runs down there another room in here I see just a huge huge place really really cool a lot of very very serious lifters come here which is you know a good environment to be in so guys many hours later I'm sitting here doing some work but I ordered this an LED light from newer basically on Friday I have a video shoot one
of my friends is DJing at a club well actually he's throwing his own event so I'm definitely gonna need some lights for that something a bit portable so I can just slap out onto the top of my Sony a7 and then I also got the rode smartlav basically it's a lapel mic so what that means is it's super super tiny and it just clips on a shirt s so basically I need this for a couple of crazy videos where I'm not in suitable like indoor indoor conditions so really happy with those two purchases oh yeah
also if you guys have used audible like for a while now and you have any opinions on it definitely let me know cuz I just picked it up trying my free trial and after my first month I'm gonna sort of see how I like it first book I picked up ultra mind solution I've been meaning to read this forever [Music] [Music] [Applause] so I just finished a shoot video shoot from my old club I always love doing video shoots to them because it just brings back memories like when I used to play from going to
like tours and like Sweden and stuff like that obviously nowadays I have zero time for football but that brings back some good memories now I have to get home a stop because I'm saying Luis soon I haven't seen him in like two weeks so we're gonna get a workout and catch up basically [Music] you know so guys I'm really sorry if you were enjoying that edit and wonder why I was cut short basically not everyone has the genetics that I do so certain people need to jump on the cardio machine which means they can't film
me anymore so it's just fall so through the power of Amazon Prime it's already here so guys I thought I'd give you a little test as you can see the rode smartlav has just connected to my fare right here it's recording through my iPhone and throughout this little thing I'll swap between the onboard mic with the Sony compared to the rode smartlav now like an indoor condition like this you won't really be able to tell the difference but when you go outside and there's a bunch of wind noise and stuff like that it's really cool
just to be able to distance my pocket have the camera at a distance and have there be no audio problems and for a lot of the crater the crater content that I want to put out I want to have a really nice background scenery and stuff like that and for that reason that's me if you want to pick this up so if you guys enjoyed this video please please leave a like let me know if you saw any difference between the two mics and then said it's indoors so I don't really be able to tell
