Some parents may wonder how to introduce Jesus to their kids, in today´s world. How to present this figure to the kids, among lots of other icons, fads, so many occasional idols, who have learned the art of seduction? It is a challenge no doubt.
Let us calm our heart by starting from a fundamental principle: Jesus needs no introduction, considering the vast majority of souls that return to Earth have already heard His call, at least once. So, talking about Jesus is almost always a kind of reminder. It is important to remember that from an early age it is up to parents or tutors to carry out this honorable task.
Children love to use their imagination, they love stories, they love heroes and spectacular tales. Well, there is all of that in Jesus brief passage across the face of the Earth. And nothing better than starting with the story of His arrival.
He was expected. Deep in their hearts, people knew He would come. They did not know exactly when or where.
But they knew He was coming. It is important to tell our little ones that He arrived as a little baby, just like them. That He was loved, expected, and that He chose to be born in a very modest place.
Nature and parental love were the only spectators. No fanfare, no buzzing nor commotion. Everything very simple, for the true life of the Spirit is simple, it does not need anything more to be great.
There are many illustrations. The Nativity Scene, the star, the tales that were built around the representation of moment of birth. Everything helps to build such an affective memory.
Traditions of the materialistic world will speak loudly. Other icons will appear with more flashy and curious stories. There is no need to clash if they are personas that bring the idea of loving each other.
However, let us not allow that the story of Jesus’ birth to simply disappear from our Christmas celebrations. Many are the movies, animations, books and theater plays, at our disposal. Let us watch with them, always helping them to understand who that Jesus is.
While they are little, that one will just be a special little baby, who came to teach about love. However later, that baby will grow up and become a true hero. He will save many people.
He will heal some illnessess of the body and other illnesses of the soul. He will walk with the poor and the rich. Will speak to ordinary people and powerful people.
He will have the courage to face every danger we can imagine without ever using violence. He will be a very different, unique hero. That is why some people may not even recognize Him from the beginning.
What superpower did He have, then? Well… Every parent will sort this out with their children. The story of Jesus is the most beautiful anyone has ever heard, and with a little creativity and will, we can bring it to the lives of our children in a memorable way.
Family Christmas nights, remembering Jesus, can be moments of fraternity and unity, ones that will remain in the hearts of little ones, as a true representation of the coming of Jesus to the Planet. May Jesus be in the lives of our children from an early age. The sooner they remember the Master, the better.

We were all expecting To hear this song. Shh… silence The animals are smiling They greet their shepperd Make sounds announcing The model of love was born! On Earth, Joseph, Jesus and Mary.
In the sky, a beautiful star sparkled Here we are all gathered And He is with us: Jesus, welcome!
