the largest organ of elimination is the skin very large surface area and it's got lots of little holes called pores in it Dr Kellogg very famous doctor from over a hundred years ago who wrote many many books on health he called the pores in the skin millions of little sewers and of course what a sewers they're throwing off waste so your skin has certain needs for it to be an effective organ of elimination it needs to breathe so allow your skin to Breathe by being very mindful of the clothes that you put next to your
skin there are many natural fibers we would be aware of cotton silk linen wool flax hemp band bamboo there's many natural Fabrics today but you might not be aware of three natural Fabrics that are made from wood pop one is rayon one is tensil t n c i l and the other is uh Visos Visos is very popular in many Fabrics today there's actually a fourth and it's Modell m o d l it's the cellulo spun from the birch tree hello and welcome welcome back I'm Barbara O'Neal and today we're talking about a topic that
many people especially as they age are concerned about collagen wrinkles and skin Health our skin is the largest organ in the body and it's often the first place we notice the effects of Aging collagen plays a key role in keeping our skin firm elastic and Youthful but did you know that after the age of 25 collagen production starts to decline by about 1% every year by the time we reach 50 our collagen levels could be nearly 30% lower leading to wrinkles sagging skin and other issues in this video I'll explain what collagen is how it
impacts your skin and what you can do to support its production naturally we'll also look at common skin problems and how you can address them with simple lifestyle changes and the right nutrients as a thank you for joining me today we're giving away a 100 free copies of my bestselling book to subscribers so if you haven't yet hit subscribe like this video and comment why you want to win I have a sister-in-law she married my husband's brother and she's a model her name's Abigail O'Neal she started modeling at the age of 36 and they thought
she was 17 she lives like this she's never drunk she's never smoked mind you there's a bit of genetics there she's very beautiful but remember that genetics loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger there are many beautiful women that by the age of getting into their 40s the wrinkles and the cellulitis is coming but not with this woman she's incredibly beautiful they said to her one day we don't want a 17-year-old for this photo shoot she said I'm 40 and her husband has built us some steps and she does this every day the high-intensity
interval training she's a great illustration that genetics May load the gun she got some good jeans there but it's lifestyle that pulls the trigger in fact she stepped into the modeling game she's stepped into a hole because so many models by the age of 40 they're drinking too much coffee smoking too much so they don't want to eat and the cellulitis and the wrinkles come but not so my sister-in-law I'm sure the wrinkles will come but they're taking a while see there is a formula and if you abide by the formula you will get the
results the movie stars pay $11,000 a week for this the human growth hormone because their profession is dependent on them looking good well I'm offering it to your cut price today 15 minutes of high intensity interval train in a day will cause a release of the human growth hormone and that will remain active for 24 hours what a bargain if you don't think you've got 15 minutes in a day it's time to do an assessment of what you do with your time I was reading in a book called uh Christ objects lessons about the stories
that Jesus gave and one about the talents and the writer commented that the talent we will be most accountable for is the talent of time what what do you do with your time and if you don't think you've got time to exercise start to make an assessment of how much time you spend on your phone how much time you spend on your computer your iPad what do you do with your time in fact this is the best insurance policy that you can make because the dividends it gives back far exceed the effort you put into
it f it now you know the secret by the way you can have twin girls identical twins one goes to the mountains and lives like a hippie and one gets into modeling and then movies and takes the human growth hormone by the age of 50 the wrinkles are coming anyway and she can't afford the human growth hormone so she stops and in 6 months she ages 10 years now let's have a look at both of those women when they're 60 who's going to look good the hippie and the rainfor or the hippie in the mountains
who naturally does the high intensity in her work one lady said to me yeah but I'm active all day I said it won't do it you've got to take that little chunk to do this high intensity because at the end of it you're going to need a shower or dive in the creek because you're pushing yourself to the extreme some people are a bit scared to do that they think they'll have a heart attack no one's ever had a heart attack doing this to reduce wrinkles and improve collagen production it's essential to understand the factors
that degrade collagen and the habits that can boost it collagen is the most abundant protein in your body responsible for the elasticity and strength of your skin however as you age collagen production naturally declines leading to wrinkles sagging and other signs of aging the good news is lifestyle changes and targeted interventions can slow this process and even stimulate collagen production first and foremost your diet plays a pivotal role in maintaining healthy skin cons consuming foods rich in vitamin C such as citrus fruits strawberries and bell peppers can boost collagen synthesis vitamin C is critical for
stabilizing and cross-linking collagen molecules additionally eating foods high in protein like eggs fish and lean meats provides your body with the amino acids it needs to build collagen bone broth a popular choice among Beauty enthusiasts is rich in collagen itself and can support skin elasticity when consumed regularly hydration is equally important drinking plenty of water helps maintain skin moisture which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles complement this with healthy fats such as omega-3 fatty acids found in Salmon walnuts and flax seeds these fats help strengthen your Skin Barrier keeping it plump and Youthful
sun exposure is one of the most significant factors in premature aging and collagen degradation ultrav Violet UV rays penetrate the skin breaking down collagen and creating free radicals that accelerate the aging process protect your skin daily with sunscreen that offers broad spectrum coverage and at least SPF 30 wearing a hat and sunglasses can provide Extra Protection for delicate areas like your face and neck incorporating skin care products with proven active ingredients can also work wonders for reducing wrinkles retinoids a derivative vitamin A are well known for boosting collagen production and improving skin cell turnover look
for products containing peptides which signal your skin to produce more collagen hyaluronic acid is another excellent ingredient it attracts water to your skin giving it a hydrated plump appearance that minimizes wrinkles exfoliation can enhance collagen production as well regularly removing dead skin cells with gentle exfoliants encourages new cell growth improving texture and tone just be cautious not to overdo it as excessive exfoliation can damage your Skin Barrier Beyond skin care certain non-invasive treatments can provide dramatic results laser therapies micro needling and radio frequency treatments stimulate collagen production by creating controlled micro injuries to the skin
prompting it to heal and regenerate if you're considering these treatments consult to qualified dermatologist to determine what's best for your skin type and concerns Stress Management is another overlooked but crucial Factor chronic stress can increase cortisol levels which accelerates skin aging incorporating relaxation techniques like meditation yoga or simply spending time in nature can reduce stress and its impact on your skin so we've got four organs of elimination in the body so the four organs of elimination are important to assess when you're looking at skin diseases so number one organ of elimination is your skin the
skin is an organ of elimination and so often you will get skin diseases happening because the body is eliminating number two organ of elimination is your lungs that's why to help your skin you must be breathing in fresh air the Third organ of elimination is your kidneys so make sure you're drinking enough water because if your kidneys are working well and you're breathing lots of fresh air it takes a load off the lungs the fourth organ of elimination is the colon and if the colon isn't evacuating properly some of the waste can come out of
the skin e ew so one of the ways to help the skin is to increase the elimination from lungs kidneys and colon so how can you increase elimination from the colon uh drink lots of water have a high fiber diet exercise every day to stimulate blood supply to the colon make sure you're resting every night stop the dehydrating food and the dehydrating Foods certainly the sugars are dehydrated but the dehydrators are caffeine alcohol drugs cigarettes make sure sun gets on the colon so it works well uh last night I gave you a tea that stimulates
the colon to work so when you stimulate the colon to be evacuating ideally twice a days ideally once is a must make sure you're breathing the fresh air and uh and drink lots of water little by little by little and that can help the lung that can help the skin so the skin it's almost out so when I said to this lady she's still scratching she's been out of that she's been out of that trailer for six months now and she's still scratching so what do we got to do now yeah she got to stop
scratching but I said are you eating peanuts she said yes you eating dairy she said no are you eating wheat lots are you eating oats yes you're having sugar oh I try not to so I said eliminate these and because there's a mold Factor there she had to go onto an antifungal diet so what's the antifungal diet well at first in my book I've got stage one and stage two antifungal diet so stage one the only fruit is Granny Smith apple and um avoc yeah avocados are fine Granny Smith apple and grapefruit so they're the
two fruits she said that's all I said oh if you want to stop scratching I said show me your tongue W look like white carpet I said yeah it's tight it's time now she'd been scratching for months she was out of the trailer but that that all that fungus that she'd been breathing in that now had to get out of her body she didn't realize that these things were feeding it skin diseases are often a reflection of internal health imbalances as the skin is deeply connected to other organs of elimination such as the lungs kidneys
and colon when any of these systems are overwhelmed the body may use the skin to expel toxins leading to conditions like rashes acne eczema or psoriasis understanding and addressing the root cause of these issues is essential for lasting skin health Health diet plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy skin nutrient deficiencies particularly in vitamins a c e and zinc can impair skin repair and protection a balanced diet rich in Whole Foods like leafy greens colorful fruits nuts seeds and omega-3 fatty acids from sources such as salmon or flax seed can provide the nutrients necessary to
keep skin resilient and radiant hydration is equally important without sufficient water intake the skin can become dry dull and more prone to irritation another key factor in skin health is the microbiome both the gut and the skin have unique microbial ecosystems that influence overall health when the gut microbiome is disrupted due to poor diet antibiotics or stress it can lead to inflammation that manifests as Skin issues incorporating probiotics through foods like yogurt cayir or fermented vegetables can help restore microbial balance and improve skin conditions managing stress is also critical for skin Health stress triggers the
release of hormones like cortisol which can increase oil production exacerbate acne and slow skin healing regular exercise meditation and sufficient sleep can help regulate stress levels and improve skin appearance environmental factors must also be considered overexposure to pollutants harsh chemicals and UV rays can damage the skin leading to premature aging and other conditions wearing sunscreen daily avoiding smoking and using gentle natural skin care products can protect the Skin's barrier for individuals experiencing persistent skin issues eliminating common irritants and allergens is crucial these may include certain foods like gluten dairy or sugar environmental molds or synthetic
skin care ingredients transitioning to a hypoallergenic diet and lifestyle can often lead to significant improvements in skin health and another lady told me that her baby developed ecma when they went into a new house and when we investigated in the house the little cot where her baby slept there was black mold now it wasn't there when she first put the cot there but they found out there was a leaking tap behind the wall and because the cot was nestled into the corner and had the bedding in there that they never saw it another lady told
me that her baby developed eczema after they moved into a new house and the baby was always sick so I I suggested that they go to the real estate and find out if the house was sprayed sometimes houses are sprayed with strong chemicals just before the person moves in and she found that that was the case and the baby felt it more than anyone cuz the baby was crawling down down on the floor and the baby had no eczema until they'd gone into that house so that's fairly a fairly obvious connection so it could be
chemicals it could be mold these can be contributing factors definitely there's usually an inherited Factor but remember genetics loads the gum but it is lifestyle that pulls the trigger so you could have a whole family move into into to a house that has just been sprayed with with uh chemicals not long before and The Crawling baby will feel it more because they're crawling on the on the floor and the parents didn't realize the danger because they thought wow this is a great floor it's a wooden floor which means it it will be healthy but then
one also has to investigate where their chemicals in the in the lacquer that was used to to uh paint the floor so there are many factors that come in that's why we should all be private investigators investigating why these things are so so let's move on to the adults but before I go on to the adults I'll just have one more story and it was a guest that came to our health Retreat about 3 years ago she said my grandson had eczema and my daughter took him to a a pediatrician and this pediatrician was known
to be more on the natural side he wasn't ready to do drugs like others may be and and the pediatrician said to her daughter remember the daughter of the guest that was with us stop the wheat Dairy refined sugar peanuts and oats Isn't it nice to hear that there are pediatricians who are recognizing the role that the the food has to play she said my son totally recovered from his eczema and that she said that's as you have just explained it took about 2 months if the baby doesn't recover in 2 months then you would
investigate a mold factor or a um a chemical Factor could could come into play there what can you do meanwhile is there anything you can put on the skin well unfortunately there isn't because it's from the inside now a little coconut oil might bring a little relief sometimes aloe vera can bring a little relief if the baby's itching ice ice is the best if you scratch an itch it feels good but then after you've scratched it oh dear it's even itchier and even now hurting and maybe the the skin is broken but if you ice
it that just kills the itch just totally kills the itch and sometimes it'll kill the itch for several hours some people have told me they've only had to apply the ice maybe three times in the in a 24-hour period it's just hiding your time until the factors that are causing it are are out of the body meanwhile as you address the root causes of eczema there are a few supportive measures you can take to ensure the baby is as comfortable as possible aside from using ice to reduce the itch it's essential to keep the skin
hydrated while topical Solutions won't cure eczema they can help minimize irritation coconut oil as mentioned is gentle and natural however it's organic and cold pressed to avoid additional irritants if coconut oil doesn't work you might try pure shea butter as it can form a protective barrier over the skin Beyond skin treatments creating an optimal living environment can make a significant difference start by ensuring the baby's room has clean filtered air if there's any chance of mold a dehumidifier can help reduce moisture levels and prevent its growth regularly check for hidden water to leaks in walls
ceilings or under sinks as these can foster mold even in the cleanest of homes washing the baby's bedding and clothes with a natural fragrance-free detergent is also crucial many commercial detergents contain harsh chemicals that can aggravate sensitive skin nutrition plays an equally vital role if the baby is breastfeeding the mother's diet might need to be adjusted eliminating common allergens like dairy wheat peanuts and refed sugar as recommended by the pediatrician earlier can significantly impact the baby's health for formula fed babies switching to a hypoallergenic formula may be necessary always consult a healthc care professional before
making any significant dietary changes eczema often has an emotional and psychological toll not just on the child but also on the parents the frustration of seeing a baby uncomfortable and the feeling of helplessness can be overwhelming parents must practice self-care and seek support from friends family or even online communities where others share similar experiences knowing they're not alone can be a huge relief thank you for watching I hope this helped you understand how collagen impacts your skin and what you can do to keep it healthy if you enjoyed this video please like And subscribe for
