hey everyone it's Tom here with this online world. com and you're all having a fantastic day today so in this video I'm covering six of the best apps and methods that pay you for walking yep you heard me you can actually earn real cash or gift card just by walking and exercising and going about your daily life and some of the ideas I'm covering in this video and some of these walking side hustles even have full-time potential and one has paid someone over six figures so it's definitely super cool you don't want to miss it let's get to it all right so just kicking off the video with ways you can make money walking or different apps that pay you to walk I want to start with a bit of a story and what I think is by far the most lucrative globally accessible way to just make money by walking and so sometime in 2023 I was living in Cape Town South Africa and one weekend I really wanted to go on a walking tour of a neighborhood called boap now boap is a super beautiful neighborhood has colorful houses it has a really rich history in Cape Town and so after a little bit of searching I stumbled across some walking tours on Airbnb in the boap neighborhood I ended up booking a walking tour with a guide named Rafi we met on the colorful boap streets and we spent about 1 and and half hours walking around we visited mosques Gardens sculptures a local cafe and he even let me stop by his home and we had some coffee now there were two other people on this walking tour with me and it cost me $20 so Rafi probably made about $50 once Airbnb took its service fee from the booking but really I wanted to start with the story because this whole idea of becoming a walking tour guide or an Airbnb experience host is super popular and it's incredibly lucrative if you live in an area that's fairly popular for tourists I mean I've done walking tours in so many cities at this point and again all of these guides are making 20 30 even $50 per person depending on where the city is and again kind of what the going rate is for a walking tour and really there's no qualifications here I mean you can study the history of the neighborhoods you're touring or the city learn a little bit learn how to talk to people and become a decent guide and then you're just as qualified as anyone else to give a decent walking tour some people even do this full-time and again there's other creative options on Airbnb experience like you can do hiking and Mountain tours photography tours are another one I've seen some people do bike tours and so the bottom line is when it comes to apps that P to walk or the these kind of walking side hustles I think being a tour guide on something like Airbnb experiences is super super lucrative and I like that it's available in so many cities around the world all right guys and coming at number two on this list of apps that pay you for walking is an app called evidation now evidation used to be called achievement it rebranded a few years ago and this is probably one of the more popular fitness apps that pays you and it's actually one I used back in college but in a nutshell evidation is a free fitness app for Android and iOS that lets you earn PayPal money and gift cards for exercising and sharing your data so you basically download evidation app for free and then connected to either the health app on your phone or dozens of different fitness trackers and devices from there evidation just tracks your data it sees how much you're exercising and it pays you points according to how much you exercise in a given day every 10,000 points in evidation is $10 and you can cash off for PayPal cash or a wide variety of gift cards now the one downside about this app even though it's kind of a Nifty source of passive income is that you really can't earn that many points per day so realistically let's say you're walking or biking or you're doing some kind of moderate exercise every day you know you earn 10 20 30 points so it takes a while to get to that 10,000 Point range to actually cash out you can find inapp surveys or even research studies sometimes if you get lucky and then earn more but again this is just kind of like a fun passive income app you know put it on your phone forget about it and then earn a little bit every time you exercise if you're comfortable selling your data I think making 20 30 bucks a year with this app is definitely possible and when you stack it with the other apps I'm about to cover you can kind of earn a little bit more per year just by walking all right guys and the third app that pays you for walking is one called miles and I can't remember if I've covered miles on this channel before or not but it's essentially like evidation just for way more than basic exercise so Miles pays you with points as you walk bike Drve take public transit fly any kind of travel you take miles is going to record it you know accept your data and then pay you with points and you can then redeem your points for a variety of rewards like gift cards to Amazon and Starbucks so really again it's kind of the ultimate passive income app for frequent Travelers you know if you have a long commute to work every day if you're always getting active if you're a bit of a digital Nomad maybe you know miles could rack up some decent points for you now again like evidation you're not earning 10 or 100 bucks a month with this app you're probably only earning a few dollars per month but if you're already exploring this world of Apps that pay you for walking and exercising you could stack it with the other ones and earn a little bit more I have a miles app review on this online world. com as well if you want to check that out so you can learn more about the app you know see if it's available in your area and again stack it with apps like evidation to earn as much as possible all right guys and the fourth walking side hustle you can check out is to become a Rover Walker and this is for the dog lovers out there people who want to get paid to spend time with pets and who also want a potentially very lucrative side hustle so Rover is a gig platform that connects dog and cat owners in neighborhoods across the US Canada the UK and Europe with trusted local sitters and Walkers so as a Rover gig worker you can basically say here are the services I offer you know I offer dog walking pet sitting daycare or dropin Services things like that you also pick the types of animals you work with you set your availability and you even set your own rate so it's really kind of like being your own boss and Rover just helps you find clients now according to different salary review websites and one of the writers at this online world.
com who also works with Rover Rover pays usually you know $15 to $20 per hour and you can earn even more with things like overnight pet visits or things like that or like Doggy Daycare kind of services so again pretty high paying gig app in fact it's so high paying that some people out there are making full-time incomes off of Rover just by walking dogs in places like New York City or other busy cities you see articles all over the web you know about six bigger Rover side hustles it's honestly pretty impressive and like I mentioned one of the writers at this online world. com also works for Rover so she wrote a Rover review on the site you can check out if you want I'll be linking that down below and it goes over everything you know her experience with finding clients to how she got more bookings to some of her favorite pets and some of the dogs she really didn't like working with and again it's a very high-paying side hustle it's fun if you enjoy animals and if Rover is not available in your country you could maybe think about starting your own dog walking or petsitting kind of business you know posting on Facebook Craigslist or some local classified site and trying to find business that way all right guys and the fifth way you can make money by walking is to use an app called cashwalk now this is another app I've covered recently ly on the channel I think it's a Nifty and fun passive income app and it basically pays you with coins every day if you walk and share your data so again you can easily install this app and then stack it with something like evidation and Miles so you're earning as much as possible just by selling your data and you know guys again I want to be honest you're not going to earn a ton of money with cashwalk you might earn two three $5 per month it does have inapp survey so you might potentially earn a little bit more if you qualify for some surveys but again it's a very low effort but kind of low paying passive income app but I do like cashwalk because it has a fairly decent number of gift cards for example you can redeem ones to Amazon Walmart Google play Apple Taco Bell Starbucks and Spotify again it won't make you rich but if you're exploring this world of Apps that pay you for walking or exercising you could just stack it with the other ones again you have to be comfortable sharing your data nothing is truly free in this world so you're always selling something but if you're using passive income apps I would definitely check out cashwalk all right guys and the six side hustle you can use to make money by walking and exercising is to become an opisy brand ambassador so opisy is a marketing company that helps other companies adverti with its flyer distribution service so in a nutshell it basically gets clients like door Dash or Uber or Amazon that want to advertise VIA mail marketing and IT then hires brand ambassadors to deliver these flyers to people's mailboxes opiz is available in over 70 cities you know a bunch of different countries and you have to be 16 or older to apply in most countries but it's a bit more of a globally friendly gig economy app once you sign up and get approved you can then accept opisy missions and these are basically three-hour time slots that tell you how many Flyers you're going to deliver and in what area you're delivering them too missions assign a pickup location you work with an opisy team member so you're not just kind of like thrown out into the wild you actually have instructions and what to follow and again you're usually working for about 3 hours per Mission now how much you earn kind of depends on the country you're in but in the United States opisy pays $23 per hour so you're making about $70 per Mission and it also pays for travel allowances and compensation for parking so like I said it's also available in a couple of countries it's in the United States it's in Canada it's also in several European countries Mexico New Zealand so again a few options there and one thing that's cool is it also pays you weekly through direct deposits you're getting real cash for your effort and again it's a higher paying gig app so hopefully it's in your country or it's expanding there soon anyways guys that does it for six different apps and side hustles you can use to make money by walking and I really want to wrap up this video by just mentioning kind of the type of apps you might want to avoid as well as some higher paying Alternatives you might want to consider and so you know this whole like make money by walking hustle has been super popular and trendy it's all over Tik Tok YouTube The Blog world and a lot of this started when the sweatcoin app came out and so sweatcoin is one of the most popular fitness apps it says it pays you for walking but in reality what sweatcoin and a lot of apps do and i' I've covered sweatcoin on this channel before and I think it's okay app but what a lot of these apps do is they basically pay you with tokens for sharing your exercise data and you can then get discounts to places you can actually earn cash can earn gift cards or it takes a super high amount of tokens to cash out real money so realistically you're not really earning anything and so they kind of like make it seem like you're making money by walking but in reality you're getting like discounts to Lululemon or discounts to hellofresh and stuff like that so again just be careful when you research Apps that pay you for walking I've covered sweatcoin I've used it in the past I've actually redeemed something off of it in the past when I was in college but again there's lots of fitness apps out there that pay you for walking but they don't really pay you real money they just give you discounts and stuff also one thing I'd like to note is I mentioned some gig apps in this video like Rover or opisy and really if you want to make money while getting your steps in I think the gig economy is your best bet you know there are food delivery apps that you deliver with your bicycle you could become a tasker on something like task rabbit and make money just running errands for people or even just standing in line or doing grocery shopping so again while I think a lot of these apps that pay you for walking are kind of fun passive income side hustles and they might encourage you to get a bit more active they're not the highest paying ones so just keep that in mind but yeah that does it for this one guys I hope you have enjoyed let me know if you're going to use any of these apps down below if there's one I missed and there's one you'd like me to cover thank you guys so much for watching I hope you have a fantastic day and week and as always don't forget to check out this online world.
