great men to n are those who Define epochs and greatness is not judged by the morals of our day but by the level of explosion witnessed in the person depending on the victors of History great men may be worshiped for a time but usually they are demonized and horribly misunderstood and these are the three ways that the common crowd totally misunderstands greatness according to our favorite philosopher n the first misunderstanding of Great Men is is their Source it is not their intelligence or talents or discipline that makes them great they are the product of instinct
it was not any mundane factors that produced the likes of Michelangelo and Napoleon they were the product of tremendous unconscious Force an Impulse so transpersonal that you could call it a god incarnating greatness does not come from the man as much as from the ephemeral power that grips him behind all greatness you'll find a quiet desperation a restlessness an overwhelming impulse towards the Pinnacle and this is what is responsible for all secondary qualities like someone's discipline in our Pagan past these men of great Instinct would have been called loved by the gods or possessed by
a great Damon and I think our ancestors were closer to the mark nich's great men are essentially those who become vehicles for a stored up unconscious ious force a manifestation of collective will quote great men like great ages are explosives in which a tremendous force is stored up their precondition is always historically and physiologically that for a long time much has been gathered stored up saved up and conserved for them that there has been no explosion for a long time n wrote These fateful lines in Twilight of the idols 25 years before the outbreak of

is that it's amoral meaning the impulse transcends morality what do you think made Buddha sit beneath the bow tree with iron resolve and conquer all the Demons of the underworld until he reached Enlightenment or died trying what do you think inspired Christ to go out into the desert to fast for 40 days and 40 nights and overcome the devil and reach God what do you think drove mellin to explore the ends of the Earth or motivated Alexander the Great's campaign across the most brutal deserts tragedies and battles possible tremendous impulse a Will To Power so
vast most people people can't comprehend it and this is the funniest thing to me about Buddhists and a lot of spiritual people out there is Buddha didn't want to be good Buddha wanted to conquer nche thought Great Men carried the instincts of previous ages they are like The Echoes of a time before Man became all tangled up and reversed within his civilization for instance a man today possessed with the feelings of the most average Greek Aristocrat would probably conquer the whole world because everyone else is enslaved to a much weaker way of feeling and being
and if he could not conquer the world he would conquer himself and probably become the next Buddha now notice that world conquest or self conquest or space Conquest they all come from the same place a powerful Instinct forward this is the nature of higher men while the common crowd sits back and morally judges the results whether they're right or wrong a living thing seeks above all to discharge its strength life itself is Will To Power self-preservation is only one of the indirect and most frequent results n this leads us to the third thing most people
don't understand about greatness and that is greatness seeks to spend itself great men are self-destructive by Nature they are a living explosion as n pointed out the Instinct of self-preservation is in fact only dominant in the weak or common types great men with great Will To Power discharge all their vital energy onto life and often die in their own Inferno like Alexander quote the genius in work and indeed is necessarily A squanderer the fact that he spends himself constitutes his greatness the Instinct of self-preservation is as it were suspended in him the overpowering pressure of
outflowing energy in him forbids any such protection and Prudence people call this self-sacrifice they praise His heroism his indifference to his own well-being his utter Devotion to an idea a great cause a Fatherland all misund understandings he flows out he flows over he consumes himself he does not spare himself n the healthiest life and the healthiest Will To Power in n's eyes seeks one thing primarily to overflow to express strength and will into the world to become a vehicle for a tremendous Instinct therefore true greatness is unreasonable it spends itself and this is something all
higher types out there need to understand most of you will die young from burnout from excessive drug abuse or the extremes of everything else unless you learn to channel your Will To Power properly Alex is someone who has done this successfully in my eyes his entire life is set up to harness and capture his tremendous Instinct and will and as a result he's already a legend but true Great Men aim far higher than even her MOSI they don't just want riches they want to make life into a piece of Living Art a grand Adventure a
playground for gods and because they grow so distant from the Common Man and the herd morality greatness is almost always misunderstood and yet a deep part of most people respect it all of our fantasy books and myths are about it the unconscious part of humanity celebrates the necessity of Great Men because it is only the great and glorious individuals that actually move the human species forward without them all would be de Evolution I believe in our lifetimes we will see the greatest events and greatest men ever in human history and this will become a rallying
