I had gimbap for lunch. And I will eat tteokbokki for dinner. Do you like Korean food?
What Korean food do you like the most? I like tteokbokki the most. Tteokbokki is spicy and sweet.
There are a lot of spicy tteokbokki in Korea. But you can also buy less spicy tteokbokki. I eat tteokbokki and gimbap or fried food together.
I like eating fried food and tteokbokki together. What kind of fried food do you like? I think there are a lot of people who like French fries.
But I don't really like potatoes, so I don't eat French fries often. I like sweet potato fries and fried shrimp. So when I eat tteokbokki, I eat fried food together.
Making Tteokbokki is not difficult. All you need is rice cake, red pepper paste, red pepper powder, sugar, and starch syrup. When I was young, I made tteokbokki at home.
But I usually buy it these days. There is a cheap and delicious tteokbokki restaurant near my house. I don't have time these days, so I eat gimbap often.
There are many gimbap restaurants in Korea. So you can buy delicious gimbapquickly. Have you tried gimbap?
Gimbap is seaweed and rice with a variety of vegetables inside. You can put a variety of ingredients into gimbap. You can also put vegetables and meat.
I like tuna gimbap and cheese gimbap. I also like egg gimbap. This is gimbap with lots of eggs instead of rice.
If I don't want to eat rice, I eat egg gimbap. When I was a student, I ate tteokbokki and gimbap very often. After school, I ate tteokbokki with my friends.
And when we went on a picnic at school, my mom used to make gimbap in the morning. So, I went on a picnic and ate gimbap with my friends. The ingredients for gimbap were different for each friend.
Some people add cucumbers to gimbap. I like cucumbers, so I also like gimbap with cucumbers. But my mom added ham, burdock, eggs, and vegetables.
So I shared gimbap with my friends. I sometimes have dinner at my parents' house. Then mom makes Buchimgae(Korean pancake).
Buchimgae is a Korean dish made by mixing various ingredients into a batter and frying it thinly. This type of thinly spread and fried food is also called 'jeon' in Korean. I like Buchujeon(chive pancakes) and Kimchijeon(kimchi pancakes).
You can only put vegetables in pancakes, but you can also put seafood. Buchimgae can be easily made at home. Or, if you go to a Korean market, there are so many Buchimgae.
So if you want to try it, just go to the market! I don't cook much, but I sometimes make fried rice at home. Fried rice is really simple and easy to make.
The fried rice I sometimes make is egg fried rice and kimchi fried rice. Egg fried rice is made by adding eggs and bacon and frying them. Then, just add rice, add a little soy sauce, and stir-fry.
Kimchi fried rice is also easy. Cut the kimchi and ham into small pieces. Then add oil and fry.
After frying, add rice and stir-fry again. If you can buy kimchi, try making kimchi fried rice! Today, I talked about Korean food.
