ANNOUNCER: Today on Adventures in Faith with Jerry Savelle. JERRY: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. See that very scripture, Philippians 4:13, when Paul made that statement that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, right there again it's telling us that we have no limitations.
But notice where strength comes from. This is not in our own might, in our own ability, our own intellect. It's through Christ.
Amen. It's through Christ. CAROLYN: Hello everyone.
I'm Carolyn Savelle, and thank you for taking the time to join us for this episode of Adventures in Faith. There are people from all across the world who correspond with us and they often tell us how grateful they are for the encouraging messages that are shared through this broadcast. To those who have written to us, thank you for believing in what we do.
Please know that we appreciate all of your kind words and that I will always continue to share the amazing things God has done for Jerry and me. With that being said, I'm excited to introduce the first episode of a four-part series from Jerry called No Boundaries. Do you have limitations on your life?
Many people do but don't even realize it. In this episode, you will discover through God's Word, how to live beyond the world's restrictions and limitations. As you watch this broadcast, know that you are a child of God, and with God all things are possible to those who believe.
Enjoy the message and I'll see you afterwards. JERRY: Let's open our Bibles today to the 17th chapter of John. And we're going to be talking about no boundaries, how that we can live a limitless life in Christ.
I don't know it's you, but I love the sound of that. No limits. Everybody say no limits.
In John chapter 17, beginning in verse 14, this is Jesus speaking, and He's actually praying to the Father. And He says, I have given them thy Word and the world hath hated them because they are not of the world even as I am not of the world. Now, if you underline your Bible or highlight, do so with that phrase.
They are not of the world even as I am not of the world. Verse 15, I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil. And it would imply that's in the world.
Verse 16, they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy word or through thy truth, thy word is truth. Notice in verse 14 and in verse 16 that Jesus repeats this statement, talking about His followers.
That's you and me. I'm a follower of Christ, aren't you? So we're included in this verse.
And the reason I know that we're included because verse 20 says, neither pray I for these alone, but for them also, which shall believe on me through their word. You and I are a product of these men preaching. Their message went from one generation to another, eventually reached us.
So Jesus had you and me in mind when He was talking about this. And notice what He says, they are not of this world even as I am not of this world. He repeats that twice.
I like to say it this way. Jesus should never have to repeat anything twice. But if He does, get your spiritual antenna up.
This is important and make a note of it, because Jesus is endeavoring to make an impression on us. And that is this, we are not of this world. Say that with me.
I am not of this world. CONGREGATION: I'm not of this world. JERRY: Look at your neighbor and say, and you are not of this world.
CONGREGATION: You are not of this world. JERRY: Now, the message translation reads this way. It says, they are no more defined by this world than I am defined by this world.
And if you look up the word defined there, it literally means marked by its boundaries. So what is Jesus saying? Those that follow Him, those that are true disciples, not just somebody who says, well, I go to church occasionally.
That's not really a disciple. I'm talking about somebody that's living this, somebody that's living and breathing the word of God every day of their life. They're following Christ.
He says, those people are not of this world. They are not defined by this world. And once again, the word defined means not marked by its boundaries.
So that simply means that you and I don't have the same limitations that the world has. We don't have their boundaries. We don't have their restrictions.
What they say can't be done is not true for us. Hallelujah. What they say will never happen is not true for us.
I don't go around saying I can't anymore. I say I can. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
See that very scripture, Philippians 4:13 when Paul made that statement that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Right there again is telling us that we have no limitations, but notice where our strength comes from. This is not in our own might and our own ability, our own intellect.
It's through Christ. Amen. It's through Christ.
I'm nothing without Him. How about you? You didn't say amen to that.
You're nothing without Him. But praise God. Here's the good news.
We're not without Him. I've got Him. Hallelujah.
And because I have Him and because I know I can depend upon Him, I know that I can do all things through Him. I love the amplified. It says I can do all things.
It actually says I'm equal to and I'm ready and equal to anything, through Christ who infuses His inner strength into me. Isn't that good? Praise God.
I'm equal to anything. I'm ready for anything, through Christ who infuses His strength into me. You know what the word infuses like you ever anybody to drink hot tea?
You know when you take that hot water, I just had some before coming in front of the camera, before you this morning. And you take that hot water, take that tea bag and put it in there. Then there's an infusion that took place.
When you look in that cup, you no longer call it water. You call it tea. Amen.
I'm not Jerry Savelle the same man I used to be. February the 10th, 1969. On February the 11th, I accepted Christ and I became what Paul calls a new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17.
The literal Greek says, A new species of being that has never existed before. I have the same body, I have the same mind, but the man on the inside was totally new. A new species of being that had never existed before.
What happened? An infusion. Amen.
Christ in us, the hope of glory. And Paul says that through that infusion of Christ being in us, that we can now do all things through Christ. So you shouldn't go around talking like the rest of the world.
CONGREGATION: That's right. Amen. JERRY: I'd like a little better.
Amen. You shouldn't go around talking like the rest of the world. Every time they say that's impossible, you ought immediately think not with me, and not with the God I serve.
Amen. Because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When they say, I can't imagine living in a house like that.
You ought to think, I can. I can't imagine earning that kind of salary. I can.
In fact get rid of those words, I can't imagine. You don't need that in your vocabulary, because God gave you your imagination. It's a God thing.
The only time He tells you to watch it is when you allow things to get in your imagination that don't agree with The Word of God. Cast down every imagination that is contrary to The Word of God. Amen.
But see, God gave you that imagination. He wants you to image big things. He wants you to see what He sees.
He wants you to see on the inside of you what He has in store for you. Amen. The Bible says in Genesis chapter 1, that God created man in His own image.
In other words, God imagined you before He created you. He had an image of you, and He said, and I'm going to make him in my image and after my likeness, praise God. That ought to tell you right there.
Our limitations are decreasing rapidly. Why? Because we are made in His image, created in His likeness, and He has no limits.
Hallelujah. In fact, when he went to Abraham and Sarah and told them they were going to have a child, you remember the story? And Abraham was an old man at the time, and Sarah, it was impossible for her to conceive.
Her womb was dead. She could not conceive a child, but God said she would. And what happened?
Sarah laughed. The Bible says. Sarah laughed at the very thought of that.
And God responded by saying, is anything too hard for the Lord? Is anything too hard for El Shaddai? El Shaddai is the name given to the God in whom nothing is impossible.
And that's what He was saying to Sarah, is anything too hard? What is He saying? I have no limitations.
Amen. And now God's telling us in the New Testament that when we receive Christ, that the limitations we once had are now removed and now we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. Give the Lord a shout if you believe it.
Amen. Praise God. So once again, Jesus says they are not of this world.
I like to go around saying that quite often. I'm not of this world. In fact, I was in a Christian bookstore a couple of years ago here in Fort Worth.
I was looking for a particular reference book and I'm walking around after I found the book I was searching for and I noticed they had a lot of gifts with scripture on it and so forth for people. And they had shirts, somebody had designed shirts with scriptures on 'em. And I found one that I thought, now that guy had me in mind, and it's a beautiful shirt with a lot of design on it.
And on the very back of it says, not of this world. And I love it. Every time I wear it, somebody will stop me and say, what does that mean?
And I get to preach to 'em. Praise God. I am not of this world.
In fact, I'll tell them I'm not normal. They look and say, well, we can tell that, but no, I'm not normal. I'm not your normal human being.
Neither are you. We left being normal when we accepted Christ into our life. Amen.
I don't live a normal life anymore. I live an extraordinary life. Praise God, with no limits.
So what are boundaries? Boundaries are limitations. They're restrictions.
They're confinements. And Jesus says that the believer actually has none. We are not defined by this world.
We are not defined by what defines them. Once again, meaning we are not marked by their boundaries. Nothing.
Everybody say nothing. CONGREGATION: Nothing. JERRY: Nothing.
If you won't allow, it can keep you living the extraordinary life that God has planned for you. And it is an extraordinary life. Jesus said in John 10:10, I've come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
But the message translation says life better than they've ever dreamed. Hallelujah. Anybody in here living life better than you ever dreamed I am.
I'll raise both hands. I never dreamed life could be this good. If I had known that being a Christian could be this good.
I would've made Jesus the Lord of my life when I was one years old. But once I saw the truth, once I heard the truth. How many of you know the Bible says, and the truth will set you free?
Praise God. Amen. And I discovered that being a believer, believing Christian is the most exciting life that anybody could imagine.
Second to none. Hallelujah. Now, if you're just religious, you don't have a clue what I'm talking about.
I didn't get religious. I got saved. Hallelujah.
And I got delivered from this world. Hallelujah. And I am no longer of this world.
And if you've made Jesus Lord of your life, you're not of this world anymore. So quit allowing this world to dictate your destiny. It has no right to do that.
Amen. Don't allow everything you hear in the media to determine your future. You are not defined by this world.
The word of God is final authority in your life. And when the word of God is final authority in your life, then it comes to pass rather than what they say comes to pass. Can you say amen?
CONGREGATION: Amen. JERRY: Now, that's not to say I don't have challenges. I'm not implying that I never have challenges.
I'm not implying that Satan never attacks. He does all the time. In fact, I'll say this and some of you may wonder why, but I come under greater attacks than many of you in this room and many of you that watch this broadcast because the Bible says, to whom much is given, much is required.
CONGREGATION: Amen. JERRY: Some of the attacks that I go through, some of you will never go through because you're not responsible for what I'm responsible for. But at the same time, it makes no difference how severe the attack The Word of God, the Holy Ghost, the Christ that is in me is more than enough to get me over.
Amen. And you know, folks, if this wasn't working for me, don't you think after 46 years I'd be preaching something else? Instead of don't quit.
My sermon would be quit. It don't work, folks, don't waste your time on this. It doesn't work.
I'll see you again next week. No, I haven't had to preach that sermon and never will because it does work. Hallelujah.
Give the Lord a shout if you believe it. Amen. So nothing if you won't allow it, can keep you from living the extraordinary life that God has planned for you.
Once again, Philippians 4, verse 11 through 13, verse 11 begins with, for I have learned, underline that phrase Paul says, for I have learned. And then down in verse 13, I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. Notice it was a learning process.
See, this doesn't all work, and you're totally, you know live an extraordinary life in one night. It's a learning process. But you got to start one night.
February the 11th, three o'clock in the morning, 1969, I got fed up with just existing. I got fed up with, just as Paul refers to it in 1 Corinthians 3:13, he says that before we come to Christ, we are mere men. M-E-R-E, mere men, which simply implies men with limitations.
Men with boundaries. And that's what I was. I was just a mere man.
Without Christ there's just so far you can go in life. And even rich, successful, wealthy seeming to have it all together people, if you knew what they were going through when they went to bed at night. On the outside, it looks like they got it all together.
But many of them are miserable. In fact, there have been people who have everything this world can offer and wind up blowing their head off. So they don't really have it all together.
I remember one time when I was first starting out and I was going through this learning process, and man, I needed everything. I needed everything. And we knew God had called us to a traveling ministry and the car we had was shot.
How are you going to travel when you can't even get your car running and you don't have the money to have it repaired? And one day I was in my father-in-law's, little Volkswagen. I had borrowed his car so I could go do something I needed to do because the engine was blown up in my car.
And I'm driving down the highway and I stopped at an intersection at a stoplight, and I looked over to my right and here's a guy in a brand new Cadillac. And I'm looking over there and I'm thinking, wow, that guy, he's got it made. Look at that car he's driving.
Man, I don't even have a decent car to drive. He's probably not even serving God. And I just gave my life to God, and I've accepted the call to preach and I'm going to be traveling for Jesus.
And this guy's got that Cadillac and I got that old dog sitting under the carport at home. And the Lord said, would you like to really see what he's like? And all of a sudden I had a vision of that man.
God showed me that man's life. And he was a miserable human being and trying to figure out how he's going to pay the next note on that car, because they were in the process of repossessing it. He said, now does he look like he's got it all together to you now?
He said, you can't tell by the surface, but you get this on the inside of you, and I'm telling you, I'll take you far better than that. Hallelujah. Amen.
And He's done that. Praise God. But it begins with the word of God.
Paul said, I learned this. If Paul had to learn these things, you're not the exception. CONGREGATION: Amen.
JERRY: Amen. Look your neighbor and say, you're not the exception. You have to learn these things as well.
So Paul said, I have learned this. What did he learn? That I can do all things through Christ.
See, the first time I read that it didn't, it didn't register in me. It didn't explode on the inside of me. The first time I read it, I thought, wow, that's interesting.
But it took reading it and reading it and reading it and as the Bible says, meditating on it by day and by night, and then acting on it. And going through that learning process until one day, praise God, it was settled deep down on the inside of me. And I'll never look back from that point.
That I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and that's when I made the decision. And quit is no longer an option. Amen.
Giving up is no longer an option. So once again, Jesus is telling us we don't have the boundaries that this world has. Paul says, we can do all things through Christ.
So that means no boundaries. Once again, the amplified, I am ready for anything and equal to anything. And then Jesus tells us in Matthew chapter 17 in verse 20, if you have faith, nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Doesn't that sound like no boundaries as well? So once again, everywhere you go in the Bible, it's talking about the believer has no boundaries. Ain't it amazing that the religious world hasn't discovered this yet?
CONGREGATION: Amen. JERRY: Religious people don't talk like that, but Word people do. Are you a Word person?
Praise God. The only thing the Bible says that can limit or restrict us is this, and we'll get into it a little deeper on our next broadcast, but I want to leave this with you. The only thing the Bible says that can limit or restrict us is this Hosea chapter 4 and verse 6, lack of knowledge.
For lack of knowledge, my people are destroyed or my people perish. In other words, a lack of knowledge, a lack of knowledge of the word of God is what keeps you bound. It's what restricts you and cause you to have to live like the rest of the world, when you don't really have to.
If I don't have to live like the rest of the world, then I'm not going to. CONGREGATION: That's right. JERRY: Amen.
And Jesus gave me that privilege when He went to the cross and He gave His life in order that you and I could receive Him and be born again and become that new species of being that has never existed before. And then go through this process called the renewing of the mind. And as we do, then we begin to realize, praise God, I have no boundaries.
I have no limitations. Amen. Somebody said the sky's the limit, but with us, the sky's not even the limit.
We're going beyond that. Praise God. Amen.
So we have no boundaries. How many of you believe that in your heart today? Well, I want all of you that are watching to lay hold upon this truth.
I don't care what you've been through, what your past has been like, the first thing you're going to have to do is let go of the past and quit using your past as an excuse. Let go of the past and just lay hold of the truth. And if you will lay hold upon the truth, that you can do all things through Christ.
You have no boundaries that I'm down. Your life will never be the same. I'll be back in just a few moments.

One is from Belinda from Hawaii. She says, thank you for standing in prayer with us. We prayed for a perfect kidney match for my husband, Kevin, and we're happy to report that he has received his brand new kidney.
I know of a couple of people right now that need kidneys, so let's agree with them that they receive the kidney transplants that they need. So Father, right now I pray over the two people that I'm thinking of and I agree it happened for Kevin and it's going to happen for them in Jesus' name. The second testimony I want to read to you is from Juanita from Texas.
I'm extremely thankful for Dr Savelle's faithfulness and dedication to Jesus. He truly was a bright light wherever he went. I've been caring for a young boy named Joshua for a few years now, and although I tried to get him to listen to other ministers, he would only do so occasionally.
However, everything changed last year when I took him to a believers convention in Fort Worth. On the first day he heard Jerry Savelle and finally found someone he connected with and enjoyed listening to. Joshua began watching his YouTube videos regularly, first weekly, then a few times a week, and now often daily.
He turnes 17 in a few days and I was looking forward to meeting Jerry at his home church, to shake his hand and say thank you. While he knew that day will now come in heaven. He plans to read Jerry's books and continue watching his videos and believe God for favor.
Joshua has been forever changed because of Jerry Savelle and JSMI. Thank you, Joshua for following these teachings and listening to my husband's teachings. It blesses my heart tremendously.
Another testimony is from Adrian from Vermont. Thank you so much, Ms. Carolyn and your ministry for praying with me for a new place to live.
I was desperate after living in a chaotic situation, but you and your team stood with me in faith. God answered my prayers with a beautiful furnished room that's close to my work. This is just the beginning and I can't wait to see what else that God has in store.
Aren't these testimonies wonderful? To me they are a reminder that we truly serve a good God. Before we go today, I want to take the time to thank our partners who support us from all around the world.
Your partnership gives us the ability to share God's word to those who need it the most. And I am forever grateful for your love and your support. So that's all the time we have, and I want to thank you for joining us today.
Make sure to tune in next week to hear part two of Jerry's series on no boundaries. Until then, remember this God has made us in his image. So if he has no limits, then neither do we.
God bless you today. And remember this, your faith will overcome the world.
