Just check out that Toshiba television that's behind me guys! Because after I tested it, without a doubt, my level of demand in relation to other entry-level or even intermediate televisions will go up a lot, because the Toshiba television back here has several positive points and, in addition, it has a feature that usually we only see more awards on television. And the feature I'm referring to here is the full Array Local Dimming technology, which is also known as the local dimming technology!
Which is a technology that some televisions have to control the lighting zones with greater precision giving us the best black level, better contrast and also minimizing the chances of the television suffering from light leakage problems. Even when we bought the television, we didn't even realize that the television had this technology, because it's not very clear on the website. So when the television arrived here for us and we saw on the box that the TV has local dimming technology, we were even a little doubtful, you know, because after all it is a technology that other brands insist on putting only on televisions more faces.
And the local dimming feature here on the Toshiba television actually works, giving us a black level that is certainly well above Average compared to other televisions that are in the same price range. And one thing that I thought was cool is that we can even change this calibration a little, you can, for example, completely turn off local dimming, you can leave it at low, medium or if you prefer, you can put it at high and it is by setting it at high that we it really has a black level that stands out a lot, it's okay that when we put the blooming effect on high it 's a little easier to visualize. And remembering that the blooming effect is the lightening that is around brighter objects in scenes with a dark background.
But at least in the tests we've done so far, it didn't bother me, but if you think it's going to bother you, you can easily put this feature on medium, for example, and you'll still have a very good black level and the blooming effect will already decrease a lot. In other words, we have a great black level here, with a good contrast, without light leakage problems and I would like to highlight once again that the fact that this television has a local dimming feature should, from my point of view, be less be the envy of other much larger brands, which insist on not putting this type of technology in their most basic televisions. Even if someone watching this video already has the Toshiba television in the back, comment down here how the black level of the television is!
Because that way we can have a better parameter to see if the majority of televisions are really coming with such good quality in this sense compared to ours. And I don't know if you've noticed but I still haven't said what the name of this television is! I even mentioned that it's a Toshiba TV, but I haven't mentioned the model yet because here's a part I think is worth your attention!
The model name of this television is called M550 LS however from what we researched, if you google the name of this television maybe you will be taken to another Toshiba television that has a very similar name, it starts with the same M550, except that ends with KB and from what we researched this television would be a version from a year before, it even has a very different foot compared to the one we have here behind. Anyway down here in the description field we will already be putting the direct link there for this television, in case you want to check the price! Both the 50-inch version , which is the model we have back here, as well as the 55-inch model in the TV manual, they even inform you that there is a 65-inch version, but at least when we is recording this video I haven't seen a 65 inch version of this television still for sale anyway our links will be down here and I'm going to take the opportunity here to give you a super tip if you are thinking of buying a television in the future, here Below in the description field, we will also be putting our official WhatsApp group link on telegram!
Where daily there we put offers of various products, especially televisions! So there's always a TV show, in fact a good party at a reliable store, we always let you know and it's free to participate and enter, the link will be down here and we'll wait for you there. But anyway, folks, let's continue here talking about the quality of the image, after all, despite the black level being very important, it's also relevant here for us to talk about the quality of the colors of this TV.
Regarding color quality, the television has QLED technology. Which has as its main objective to deliver better colors to people and without a doubt this is a very positive point, however I must confess to you that regarding the issue of colors I prefer to test the television more to reach a final verdict! Why do I say that?
Because during the tests so far, in most of the videos that we use for testing, the television is delivering good image quality. However, in some particular videos, for some reason, the television delivers a color quality that is below average compared to other QLED technology televisions that we have already tested here on the channel. And that's why I prefer to test the television more to give a final verdict on this.
However, this issue of colors, at least so far, does not seem to me to be a very worrying thing, because as I said, most of the time the television has been doing well in terms of colors and in these videos where for some reason it is below average, that at least least so far this has only occurred in some random YouTube videos! So at first it's not something to worry about too much. But I particularly prefer to test more television and more content, test it in several other different contents, to reach a definitive conclusion about television here in relation to colors.
Even if you really want more content about this television, don't forget to like it down here and also ask for it in the comments field! Because this is how we can see if you really want and are interested in more content in relation to this television. And also take the opportunity to take a look below and confirm that you are subscribed to our channel, so you don't miss future videos!
And just to wrap up this part regarding image quality, it's worth imagining that it has support for Dolby Vision and has a refresh rate of 60 hz. But there are still other details to mention for you here in this first impressions video, where the television was a huge surprise and one of those other things was its sound quality. The TV has a sound that is much, much louder , much louder for example compared to a Samsung BU8000 television much louder than a Samsung Q60B and the feeling I have is that the TV manages to deliver audio which is also much higher compared to Samsung's 8K resolution QN700B television, which we recently tested here on the channel!
I'm just using the Samsung TV as an example here, because they are TVs that we recently tested here on the channel, so we can remember a little more. But finally the sound of the television surprises very much is very loud. And in addition to the sound being very loud, the overall sound quality is also very good and it has very competent bass there considering the price range of this TV.
And there is one more positive point that I would like to give to this television in this first impressions video, which is in relation to the operating system it is using. It's using the VIDAA operating system which I know is a lesser known, less popular operating system and I completely understand people who look at this system called life with a bit of hindsight, you know, I was a little suspicious too! However, one thing that I really liked about this system is that it is very agile, responds to us very quickly and is much more fluid, for example, compared to other televisions that we have been testing recently here on the channel.
For example, just for you to have a reference, if we take here a television of entry from Samsung, one from LG and one from TCL, for example, most likely it will be the Toshiba television back here that will be able to respond to us more quickly and you can see that the system is very well optimized for television, so without a shadow of no doubt this is a very positive point for her. And besides, I also really liked the look of the television, it's a look that's easy to use, easy to understand things, so that's also a very positive point for it! However, there is a point of attention here in relation to the operating system, which is something where it loses compared to the competition that is in relation to application support.
It even delivers support for large apps like YouTube, Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime Video for example. But it does not provide support for other applications like Star Plus, HBO and also crunchyroll. And about the television connectivity they are appearing on the screen and now for you to check it out.
But anyway, guys, this one was the first impressions video and if you really want more content from this television, don't forget to leave the like down here, also ask in the comments field! Because this is very important for us to assess whether it is really worth doing a more complete analysis or even comparing it with other models. So if you want, don't forget to like and comment below!
And if it were here to make a general summary based on our first impressions so far , at least I'm quite surprised with the television because to be honest it's the first Toshiba TV that we've tested here on the channel and I wasn't expecting much thing! But at the end of the day, it gave us local dimming features, which really work! It has a sound that is very loud and stands out compared to several competitors.
And besides, it has an operating system that also manages to be very fluid, probably more fluid than the general average of other competitors on the market. And as more points of attention let's (put it like this) there is the issue of application support, as I mentioned earlier. And there's also that other question halfway through the video or at the beginning, finally about the color issue, which so far has been doing well!
But for some reason, some content seems to me to be below average compared to other QLED TVs, but then I'll do future tests there if you want to bring a much more detailed analysis about it. But now I want to know your opinion guys! Did you like the video?
What did you think of television? Or if anyone out there already had the TV, comment below what you think of it to complement this video even more! And if there's any doubt, some curiosity, comment down here that may be things that we may be bringing in future videos if you want.
So in general, that's it. Thanks, talk and see you next time!
