you don't need to work 29 hours a day you need to work smart and hard if anybody wants to make it they're going to make it I always did not like waking up going to school ins same stuff for people who go to work and I was so mad at it I used to sit at school and I used to think like I'm still sitting here and I'm thinking when is this stuff going to end actually and if I was to make 10 to 20K month profit then that means I wouldn't have to sit here basically I used to make like 2 to 3K a month fulltime video editing but in a job down to like 800 now we're at about like 25 to 30k per month Revenue yeah when you do good you need to work even more everything needs to be in place at every point of time and it needs to be perfect as close to Perfection as possible cuz then you're the best YouTube is a long-term game it does not happen overnight and it is never going to happen overnight Don welcome to the channel how are you doing bro thank you man I'm doing good out here in Dubai this is pretty nostalgic for me cuz literally I was in the same building like just over a year ago when I first came here but anyways it's your first time in here what are your first impressions so far First Impressions it's very interesting I didn't think traic traic is going to be that messed up honestly not going to lie but it's a nice place man very good for connections very good for business meeting new people meeting the people I've seen on the internet before I haven't known before any life you know but it's very nice man yeah now for people who don't know you yet on this channel can you tell me a little bit about yourself how we kind of met in the first place and uh why you are here in Dubai at 17 years old that's a that's an amazing question so it wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Vin that's for sure so um I have a business partner his name is Maro and Marco actually found one your videos like back in the day it was like a Photoshop Premiere Pro tutorial I think they he saw that you have coaching to you teach people how to run agencies basically and then I was like yeah that's interesting let's take a look at what this stuff is we booked the call we got in it was you I believe yeah it was you actually yeah first go you closed the and then we started working together and you helped us you helped us scale up quite a bit in terms of the creative agency space so essentially we on we on a creative agency which helps YouTubers and short form Instagram and Tik Tok on the side a tiny bit but mainly it's just YouTube just helping people grow and make more money coming in from the content they actually make because people usually do good content maybe but they don't make the money yeah mhm so you're here to meet one of your clients or you were working with one of your clients basically right one of the biggest yeah and uh tell us about the transformation cuz we started working around the end of last summer so it's been just about one year at this point and uh you know over the last three months or so we haven't been working together as intensively but yeah how has that Journey been like when we first started working together I think you and and Marco were doing around like 2 4K month or so uh kind of like fluctuating in between there if I remember correctly yeah it was it was actually like I used used to make like 2 to 3K a month fulltime video editing but in IT job down to like 800 I was just editing for the main client I work with up to this day as well so at the time we paid you I was making like 800 per month I think okay so 800 a month and uh where are you guys at roughly now with everything cuz at that point you were just a freelance editor right now you started the agency together with Marco you've been working with a lot of clients where are you guys at right now now we're at I don't know correctly cuz we don't content like every month by about like 25 to 30k per month Revenue yeah that's really solid is that in euros dollars Euros in Euros yeah so in dollars that's like well above 30 on the higher end which is amazing like that's literally I mean compared to the 800 that's a 30X or so uh but even compared to few it's a lot so how did how did it happen like obviously I know it's a big question but I really think there are a lot of guys like you were even just one year ago right who are kind of hustling with editing on the side next to school and for them I mean this is this is the dream right this is the this is what they want like they want to be out here also in duai and and do all of this cool stuff work with clients and and uh and build something so how has that Journey been for you like let's try to take it maybe one step at a time you know from from 800 freelancing to First even getting the first agency clients and really setting up that company and going from freelancer to agency owner what were those first steps and first biggest lessons you know maybe you can even go a little bit into what we did together within the coaching to make that happen quite a bit of stuff changed we were back in school at that point of time which was it was very hard to work because we had to go to school get back home do homework study and then work on the stuff we had to work on which was a bit messed up the first few clients we learned I can't properly remember but I remember one that was in February I think it was yeah that was a guy in the ofm space it was a very very good call and overall what you helped us with the most I would kind of say right off the bat is just having a proper step on what we need to do cuz the problem is when you don't make money when you're not going anywhere you feel stuck in a sense and then you kind of go like should I do this out with strategy should I do inbound inbound is going to take you long what should I do I need somebody to direct me basically that was you and your business partner Greg essentially which was amazing you know it was sick so you helped us just have a proper direction in what we need and when you have that direction you're going to get Road box Outreach doesn't work on Instagram this account stops working you are very bad at sales calls you are very bad at even delivering results we weren't very good at the beginning I knew how to edit but I didn't know how to bring that money coming in actions systems funnel help and stuff like that which we do nowadays as well you know so we overall helped us refine our offer refine our strategy to get people into our offer and to retain those people as well is what we we earned with experience and that experience we wouldn't have had if it wasn't for you so essentially just having everything 4 in one basically I would say and then the money came in cuz everybody focuses on the money which is good but it doesn't make a ton of sense at the end because if we focus on bringing the best result in a few months you're going to get the money you're going to get it you know what I mean 100% And I think it's the same thing with getting clients as well it's like people need to focus more on the input of like okay am I hitting the numbers I need to hit every single day versus just obsessing over the numbers cuz that is not something you can really control the only thing you can actually control on day-to-day bases is the effort that you put in and I think that's something that is the reason why you guys absolutely crushed it is because of the fact that you put in a lot of effort you put in a lot of volume so can you tell people a little bit about that just like how much I guess Outreach you are doing to get those first let's say five clients right CU I think a lot of people they they don't understand the the level of scale you need to be at to actually progress quickly like they I have people reaching out to be like bro I sent 50 outreaches and I haven't got a client or I haven't got a call yet I'm like 50 in a month we got to do more than that in a day right um especially if it's not like custom Outreach you know not super custom so people don't understand like the the volume the the big players are are doing right so tell us about that like how did that uh go so Outreach for volume right yeah and and also just in general like you know how did you go from not booking any calls to consistently booking calls and signing clients cuz that's the like most people think that's their biggest struggle yeah and for most people it is like the fact that they don't have enough clients now once you get clients now it's like getting them the good results and keep delivering the service but most people get stuck in stage one which is getting enough calls into that calendar so how did you go from you know 800 per month no calls to consistently booking calls I love that question actually because it reminds me of how it all happened so the thing is we were doing about 100 messages on Instagram before which was a very bad script the accounts were Landing in the hidden request basically nobody was seeing the messages then I was like yeah we have to change something let's do 300 I have a friend his name is Nico Nico was sending the messages about 300 of those per day that per week is 2. 1k messages basically which is you know something as though you know we refined our script properly which got us to get many more replies coming in but since we send people wom videos presenting what we do we make them problem aware that they can get more views can make more money and so on and so on and that we can help them do that kind of you know then the wom videos which we were sending weren't getting that good responses they weren't getting that good of a reply rate back both they were getting replies which was like I don't care but after we changed some stuff which you and Greg helped us change essentially is we started getting many more calls booked so we went if you wanted me to say the numbers we went from like zero calls booked per month to like I think it was like 10 calls a month which wasn't a bought to be honest yeah but it's still better than nothing it's still better then we closed like two of those people 20% closing rate very bad I was stuttery in the sales gos I I I talk like this I didn't know how to talk didn't do any gestures it was very bad but um yeah you helped us improve quite a bit you know I would say overall yeah so you helped us you helped us get I would say in total like 15 clients out of those we lost like three of them I think yeah and we still work with like most of these guys who have stayed inside out of those like 12 of them basically yeah M and most of your clients just to clarify like you got it from direct Outreach basically right cold Outreach yeah yeah so most people say that cold Outreach is that you need a personal brand and I agree that having a person brand is valuable like it makes it easier as well your Outreach will convert better if you have a good brand but what would you say to those people and those editors who are complaining that oh it's impossible to get clients anymore you get ignored it doesn't work cuz I've heard that 3 years ago and like I was like guys but I'm getting GLS with P Outreach so what the are you talking about but what would you say to those cuz I mean for you it didn't seem like it's too saturated yeah if it was too saturated nobody in the world would be doing it right so if there's still somebody doing cold Outreach I had the mindset of if somebody's doing cold Outreach there must be a way that certain individual is doing the Outreach which means just one thing I need to find a way how to do it properly then I'm going to get result which which exactly was the case so for the editors watching this thumbnail designers guys doing freelancing no code Outreach is not dead at it almost like will never be dead it's never going to happen you just need to find a way on how to do it properly is it your script is it the way you do the wom video the way you do the personalized video message do you look good to yourself in your face is the camera good quality how how does all that stuff look like you know so it depends on a water of factors basically I would say cool uh now one thing I wanted to get into a little bit is have a business partner with a creative agency I think there is a lot of people who think that uh it's easier if you have business partner which if it's the right setup I would agree but I think a lot of people just want to get a business partner so that they don't have to feel as alone in the beginning and often times people hire uh or not hire but people partner up with business partners who don't necessarily have like a complimentary skill which they don't have now I think with you and Marco you have a great setup because it's like you're kind of the sales guy and you're the front of the whole thing um to some extent and then Marco is like you know more of backend operations Team Management from what I see right exactly on the outside and I think that's the only way actually where a partnership will really work well cuz if you get two sales guys into an agency who's going to deliver for the clients if you get two operations guys who's going to bring in the clients right so what would you say to to people cuz it seems like for for you guys it worked out well the the partnership um but uh yeah what would you say for the the reasons why you got into the business with a partner instead of just trying it on your own Marco and I have known each other from when we used to play fortnite Back in the Day in 2018 that was like six years ago and we always had the same mindset so if you have a business partner you need to have the same vision basically if Marco wants to make a million bucks a month I want to make a million we're going to make it happen if he wants to make 10K I want to make 100K it isn't going to work you know you need to have the same vision then you need to have the same output the same work ethic then when I fall off in terms of the work Marco tells me don't the hell are you doing you need to get back on track you know same goes for Marco and me Mutual connection basically the reason we got into it together is because we've always known each other it's I'm a bit lucky for it not going to lie cuz he's always been the guy who's just in for it has the same vision pushes for as much as possible but like if people want to have a business partner get one and see how he acts and reacts to what you basically want you know cuz if the guy going to do half as the job if he's not going to do the work properly why work with the guy cuz if Marco was doing 20% of the work he's doing now I would tell Marco you have an option do 100% to work or do nothing has to be like that you know and it's important for business partners to be a bit different Marco's the more chill guy the more back behind the scenes he's chilling and stuff and I'm the more the guy who likes to talk new gestures he's you own talking and stuff I'm I'm just different as opposed to Marco we have different taste even and stuff which is important you know cuz he's good for this I'm good for this we combine it and in the end the business runs and functions basically and we give ourselves feedback if I see him doing something wrong I'm like look man you're doing everything wrong and if I'm doing wrong he tells me the same you know what I mean so M I think a lot of people right now are thinking I mean I'm not going to like I've been super impressed by both you and Marco especially for the age you are now I had people telling that to me when I was 17 that they are impressed uh I'm genuinely impressed by like how you guys run it cuz there's not many 16 17 year olds who can run like an operation with whatever 20 at this point like 20 clients or something like that or 15 whatever like yeah like that's not an easy easy thing to do and it's not easy to to build out something like this and also you're from Croatia as well so right or both of you guys are from Croatia so like you're definitely an outlier there right in terms of results cuz I I was the same in Hungary so what would you say to those guys who are maybe a bit older than you actually and maybe they are from uh some of either some of these Balkan countries or or whatever and um you know they they feel very insecure about stuff like their accent and and where they are from and the fact that they are not from like whatever let's say a super rich family whatever like what would you say to them cuz a lot of people I think from where we are from use these as excuses not to make it work yeah whereas I feel like you know you and Marco you didn't care at all you just you just did it right regardless well I think that if anybody wants to make it they're going to make it if you truly want it bad enough you're going to make it the reason we did want to make it that bad is because we just did hate the life we kind of lived I don't know where that mindset came from maybe I'm I'm not sure but I always did not like waking up going to school the same stuff for people who go to work going going and going basically so to ask your question V yeah if anybody wants it bad enough they're going to make it happen same for outreach same for everything cuz what people do I know that cuz we have hired and fired video editors what they do is they're in high school they have a girl maybe they're they're chilling and stuff they make maybe 20 bucks a day from a video they do and then they're like yeah it's fine for today I don't know they're just half working you know cuz you don't need to work 29 hours a day you need to work smart and hard that's how we position your day that's how you can get everything done cuz if Marco and I have done it just to do a side note if Mar and I have done it while we are in school anybody can do it while they in school I used to get home at like 400 p. m.
man and if I can get that done at that in that time frame it anybody can do it basically just about time management and how smart you are yeah 100% 100% I think where there's a will there's a way and it's kind of like the same thing also with you even joining GC right like G GC was the cost of your uh of how much you are making multiple times over like you got in on like a long payment plan so in theory it was like a big risk you were taking on but because really wanted to make it work it didn't matter you were like all right we'll take this risk on we'll make it work right and I think that's what a lot of people are lacking it's that attitude towards uh towards the whole thing but yeah so after this like big transformation that you guys went through over the last couple of uh I was going to say a couple of years but it's it's been only really like pretty much less than a year um you know where do you want to go from here like what's the plan for 2025 I guess um you know now now at your 15 clients what's the what's the plan if I need the plan I would plan on maybe moving out of Croatia in a place like Dubai because it's much better for business for connections and stuff like that and generally just setting a foundation in my space in the creative agency space as one of maybe not the best but one of the best guys I would say you know cuz if people think that you can close anybody you can make any sort of money and then from that even like building a brand I would consider as well I'm doing that just you know I'm here you're doing that as well you know it's very smart for you to do of course I don't want to be scared for being a nobody anymore cuz when you're a nobody gets hard nobody knows you you don't have any numbers anything you need to work for free to get a testimonal then reach out to people then the Outreach doesn't doesn't work and it's a it's 70 million problems literally so if I can make anything happen right now which is Sting a foundation for people knowing who I am and the quality I provide with Mar on the side as well I can sell anything not to scam people I'm going to sell something the money no but but sell something to provide value so this guy makes 50k and I get 5K back for example 10% you know just to set that Foundation down because it still scares me a bit until I have the brand I'm kind of like if this if this Outreach doesn't work man what am I literally going to do yeah what if they Implement new filters for the same scripts and stuff what am I going to do you know that's kind of the trajectory and if we have to talk personal stuff keep on working improving myself when you improve you make more money nobody's ever the best on honly I know we can do better you you could do better as well anybody can people watching can do better even you know so like yeah take that as a piece of advice you can always do better even when you think you're doing good we used I closed like 5,000 in one day it was July this year one day it I go Lu may even let say that's cool I closed 5K then I was sitting there I was thinking huh I'm doing good when you do good you need to work even more you know not start working when everything falls apart and then your white CCH everything as close to cuz then you're the best when somebody wants to take your client then then the client says yeah I have everything like that settled I have the views have the money coming in amazing client connection with Marco and for example nobody can take your client essentially you know that's kind of what my mindset now is cuz I don't want to be in the position of somebody reaching out to one of my clients and then me like yeah I can work for you w video and I'm like man I don't want that to happen you know yeah I think that's a actually a really good point to talk on a little bit is a lot of creatives uh think that they cannot charge High ticket and I think even you guys in the beginning were like questioning if with this conton agency business model you could charge 3K 4K 5K a month right and now you guys do charge those kind of retainers as well right like 3K 4K 5K month so what would you um say to people who want to be able to also charge those prices because you know you mentioned the importance of also getting results for your clients and and you know how crucial that is to make them money so what do you do what kind of clients do you work with and what do you put in place to make sure that they make a return on the service and um pretty much you know like make more money than they are paying you so what we do is we try to make everything perfect okay but not in the sense of it being actually perfect because nothing is ever perfect meaning we would never get anything out to the those of us being the competition we know people in the creative agency space we analyze what they do it's more of a subtle thing I say that to nobody actually I haven't even spoken to you about it but I take a look at what all these other people are doing how they work with their clients testimonial that guy's YouTube channel and I'm like how can I make this better because if it's better it's going to make the guy more money eventually and I make it very clear to my clients that YouTube is a long-term game it does not happen overnight and it is never going to happen overnight literally cuz it's building a brand it's not doing Outreach having a perfect scrip and getting lucky and Landing five clients it's completely different literally that's what you what I say to everybody when we start working with them and I keep on saying it so they don't think after the first month yeah I haven't made a lot of money yes you haven't because it just takes time yeah you know what I mean so for you was there like a moment of epiphany when you first signed a higher ticket client like a 3K one or do you remember like your first bigger mully retainer cuz again a lot lot of editors they think they can't even comprehend the idea of one client paying them three grand a month or four grand a month and I remember vividly when I signed my first like 2 and a2k retainer I was like mind blown like I was like Oh I thought people only pay that for like uh ad services or stuff like that I didn't know I could do that with content do you have any memories like that there was a guy in January third of January I think Alec was his name he paid like in the ranges of 1. 5 to 2.
