[Music] [Music] [Music] none of these habits are about taking out extra time in your week but more so about looking at things differently shifting your mind or simply changing the way you're doing certain things to be able to work smarter and not harder the idea of changing your life getting your dream life achieving your goals can seem so scary to some because it's such an overwhelming task and it's such an overwhelming intense way of saying that you're about to change your life for the better it should bring on so much excitement and so much motivation but instead of course you think now you have to deal with the daunting task of starting all over again or doing things a little bit differently but I've truly learned that changing your life just comes down to a few really good healthy habits and also taking everything one step at a time so while I'm about to give you a lot of information in this episode please please please Implement them one at a time because all of these things I had to learn over years of my life I didn't just Implement them all tomorrow like that so my disclaimer for this episode is please don't put a lot of pressure on yourself so if you're wondering how do I change my life for the better then this episode is for you let's get right into it habit number one Building self trust this is a huge pillar in making sure that your life is easy efficient and all of your goals are flowing in the right way and the most productive Direction and the main way to build your self trust is by sticking to your word this means doing what you say you're going to do EG going to the gym when you say you're going to do it EG at 7:00 a. m. as soon as you wake up in the morning regardless of the circumstances EG it's raining you're not feeling like H or you just want more sleep so there are those three factors in sticking to your word notice how I didn't mention do doing it in the exact way you said you were going to do it while that is beneficial I don't think that that can play a really good role in your consistency especially when it's something like going to the gym moving your body or exercising which is so good for you if you wake up it's a different part of your cycle your energy levels are considerably different than what could have been going to the gym for an hour could now be an hour walk outside listening to a podcast you're still getting the core goal done early in the morning like you said you would regardless of the circumstances to get it out of the day early so that you could focus on other goals but the way that you did the task was a little bit different to also be super self-caring and self-loving to attend to your needs while still meeting the goal in whatever capacity you wake up with so what are the benefits of actually sticking to your word and approaching your goals in this way well one it builds discipline the second that you stop listening to your feelings and instead you prioritize your logic the second you will finally be able to get it done in your life the second benefit of this is that it actually boosts your your self-esteem because let me tell you you have never regretted going to the gym but you have regretted not going skipping a session procrastinating waking up too late and this really links into my personal experience with this once I finally started noticing how good and accomplished and confident I felt after I went to the gym when I was a little bit tired or when I pushed through to do an extra hour of work when it was a little bit later in the evening and all I wanted to do was relax I felt amazing I felt so good about myself it increase my resilience my confidence in my abilities to be able to get it done and show up for myself and so then that became my focus it wasn't about how hard the task was whether I wanted to do it or not instead my focus shifted to I'm going to feel so good after I do this I'm going to be more confident in my ability to continue doing things like this I'm going to be able to push myself harder if I push myself today in the future which means my resilience will grow my capabilities will grow and I will finally be able to match the version of myself I need to be to be able to have all of the goals and all the success that I am chasing after this links into the third benefit of sticking to your word which is the fact that you will be so self-loving because from now on whenever you get a new idea self-doubt can no longer Cloud your judgment or prevent you from taking action on what you want to do because now you actually are and you identify as the type of person that any single time you get a new idea new thought you're already doing it you're carrying it out you made a promise to yourself you said you were going to do something you said that you were going to have a New Year's resolution you were going to do 75 hard you're doing it and then of course the final benefit of sticking to your word and Building self trust is that you free up so much time because before I personally mastered this habit so much of my time and schedule was spent in the activity of catching up because I slept in later just because I wanted to because I procrastinated because I was putting off a project for months but when you start getting things done according to the allotted time that you initially agreed to yourself now all of a sudden have all this spad time there is no time catching up on everything because you are getting it done the first time you said you were going to get it done now all of a sudden you can spend your evenings relaxing chilling spending time with your loved ones working on your self-care contributing to your personal development and if you're a super ambitious person now all of a sudden you have all of this time to contribute to these new projects that you've always wanted to get done rather than staying stuck in the endless cycle of spending so much time getting one task done because you were procrastinating or you preventing getting started in the first place okay so then how do you actually achieve self trust it's super simple like I said in the beginning of this video it's all about starting with super small and most importantly achievable steps and then building it up with intensity from that so you're basically taking small steps in equal increments to be able to increase your capacity and your ability to get hard decisions done but you have to start with something super easy and something that you know can get done this links into our human psychology and the fact that whenever we're good at something or we can get something done done it boosts our own self-esteem and then therefore our motivation to continuously do that thing because we know we're not going to fail and it's not scary it's a super safe situation so if you start with that type of task it will give you that flow that you need to do the rest because honestly not being a morning person and then telling yourself that you are going to wake up at 6:00 a.
m. tomorrow that is just self-sabotage we are not doing that so your first little step can be scheduling things and this is so important because think about it when you have a dentist appointment scheduled for 2 Thursdays from now at 1: :30 p. m.
