this video found you for a reason maybe you're unhappy with your life right now you feel stressed unmotivated maybe you have some low self-esteem that you're dealing with or depression and you're just in desperate need of a life change I get it I've been there I was somebody that would watch every single change your life in seven days or 14-day life transformation Challenge and while I'd feel inspired in the moment of watching those videos and apply some of those tricks for a few days after a while I would just fall back into my old habits
and then ended up feeling worse about myself because I failed again I always felt like I was taking one step forward and then two steps back because I'd end up feeling worse about myself by not committing to something again then in 2023 something clicked for me because that was the first year where the person who entered the New Year looked completely different from the person who exited in the best way possible and what's crazy was at that time I wasn't trying to change my life in 12 months it had just gotten to the point where
a permanent change wasn't about me from 1 month from now it was more about creating something that was like actually Everlasting for 10 years from now me or 50 years from now me now that 2023 process is something that I do every year it allows me to transform into the best version of myself in a realistic way and that's what I'm going to share with you in this video first I'll share with you the exact steps to take what I do every single year and then we'll go over some extra tips to help you stay
consistent throughout the entire year so for proof this is my actual like goal Journal as you can see this was the first year that I started this I did a version of it in 2022 and in 2022 I was like I feel like I started to get somewhere like I actually achieved some goals and so 2023 I kind of like refined it and this was the year I was like that's what worked for me so we're gonna take a look at this and I also did it for 2024 not as fancy but I also did
it for 2024 so the first thing that you're going to do is take the time to complete two Journal prompts now listen I'm not somebody that prefers journaling I'm not somebody that like enjoys journaling I don't journal every day or every week that's not my thing but for this I will journal the first Journal prompt to complete is what does the best version of myself look like one year from now and you're going to write it as if it's actually happening or as if it's actually you from the future this was my submission for journaling
and I literally wrote it like my name is Millie today is and then I put like the future date December 28th 2023 cuz I started it in 2022 any who so I put like today is future date of one year from now this year was amazing for me and then I just write it as if it's actually me one year from today this is where you could expand on things like what is your mindset like what's future 's mindset like what's your view on life how is your health your relationships your finances your spiritual growth
if that's something important to you how's work how's your hobbies just imagine what that future Ed life looks like and how it feels fulfilling for you why does it feel fulfilling and journal about that the next Journal prompt that you will do is a more of a breakdown talking about what does a fulfilling Day in the Life look like for you and that's again you're writing it as the best version of yourself as future you so a fulfilling Day in the Life this one on this side was my fulfilling Day in the Life I'm breaking
down more specifics with my day my morning routine my workout routine the foods that I eat my night routine I'm just getting as specific as possible I even at the bottom I broke down like Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday each individual day and how they might defer from each other with workouts because for me in 2023 a big goal was getting more active and working out a lot more so I broke down what Sunday would look like like Sunday was more of a rest day and maybe meal prep and Monday I would go to the gym
Tuesday I would go on a walk or a run so like I broke down what that future version of me was doing step two in this process is optional but again this is what I did so I'm going to share it with you but basically I did a brain dump of things I say yes to and things I say no to again here's the things I say yes to things I say no to for example rest was a huge one that was important to me especially having a big burnout season before so things I say
yes to is yes going to the gym hanging out with friends making homemade meals doing self-care creating time for me so those were some things that I would say yes to and then some things that I'd say no to are more meetings cuz I tend to just anytime somebody's like oh can we get on I was like yeah let's do that and then I'd get exhausted and it wasn't a good thing for me to say yes to at the time so more meetings unnecessary projects eating out stress disguised as opportunities staying busy like just filling
up my schedule with things working on holidays that was a big one cuz in 2022 I believe I think I worked through some holidays and I it was the biggest regret so I'm like no we're no longer working through holidays let's not do that again people pleasing so I just bring down some things that I want to say more yeses to and then way more NOS to after that if you chose to do that your next step is to actually set some goals these can be personal business daily goals long-term goals anything just brain dump
your goals and write them as if they already happened using an actual example from my 2023 goals for a daily goal is I established a morning routine that incorporates water sunlight and exercise so that's that's something that I wanted to figure out how can I do this daily a more weekly goal was I go to the gym three to four times a week a more long-term goal was I read 52 books this year or if you're somebody Who You're subscribed to me you're probably an aspiring content creator or a content creator it could be content
creator goals so like I post three times a week or I post every week on YouTube I try to make my content creator goals something that I have control of not necessarily like subscriber numbers it's nice to have oh I'd love to hit 10,000 followers but you don't have control over who chooses to follow or subscribe to you so I try to make my goals things that I actually can control like how often I post how often I show up what habits am I establishing to help me become a Creator so it could be any
sort of goal just write it down as if it already happened then with each of our goals we are going to create action items that will actually help you achieve those goals so you need to ask yourself okay what's the small smallest Next Step that I could take to help me move towards that outcome again this is kind of more you're just brain dumping action items for each goal you don't have to apply these action items yet you're just kind of getting into the planner mindset of okay if I want to run a marathon this
year what are some steps that I would actually have to take okay maybe that means if the marathon I want to run is in November maybe I could run a half marathon in August and then maybe that means means my goal would be to run a 10K by May a 5k by March so if I'm running a 5k by March that means maybe first month January I am just moving my body getting out of the door three times a week right so Monday Wednesday Friday I go on a walk or a one mile run that's
it for January so you're just kind of reverse engineering breaking things down very tangibly for my goal that said I read 52 books in a month I broke that down as like okay I'm going to read four to five books per month to help me do that two of those will be audio books because those are quicker to get through one of them will be a self-help book or more non-fiction and then another one will be like a physical book or Kindle book that's more for enjoyment when I said my goal was to establish a
morning routine I wrote down what an ideal morning routine looked like what were all those little steps that I would have to take getting out in the sun putting on sunscreen drinking a large glass of water doing a morning workout not having my coffee until 90 minutes after I wake up I just wrote down what a morning routine meant to me I think where a lot of people go wrong with New Year's goals or just goal setting in general because you can be watching this video at any time and start today it doesn't have to
be like January 1st or whatever it could be August 5th my birthday so you can watch this video at any time and start today but I think the biggest misconception that people have when setting goals is like they need more time to do more things but that's not necessarily true it's not that you need more time to accomplish more you just need to set better intentions and be more efficient with your time and we'll get to how to apply this an efficient way in a second before moving on to that next step I'm curious what
your goals are when watching this video like what are your top two or three goals at the moment so write down your top goals as if they already happened and if you see somebody with a goal simp ilar to yours let's just start some encouragement down below if one of your goals is to become a full-time content creator and you're like trying to brain dump action items but you're not sure what actions to take to help you get there I do want to let you know I have a 12mon Creator plan not only do I
have a video on my YouTube channel that is how to become a content creator in 12 months where I literally break things down but I also have a workbook that goes with that so you can download the 12-month Creator plan to actually follow the steps that are already laid out for you and help you actually become a full-time Creator in 12 months so I will link that below and I'll also put the video here the final brain dump that you're going to do before actually applying these goals through our year and taking action is asking
yourself are there any additional habits that I need to add or remove to make these goals happen what sort of habits in my life whether that's a daily or a weekly habit do I need to add or or remove to make these goals permanent this might involve a little bit more self- evaluation or life evaluation of what your life currently looks like what sort of things you could replace with TimeWise so if one of your goals is to read 52 books how are you going to do that do you need to remove something else that's
sucking time so do you need to remove mindless scrolling as a habit maybe that's something you need to write down is like spend less time on my phone get specific with it maybe like Li my screen time down to 30 minutes a day just write down any habits that you don't think you've already touched on yet then finally we're going to apply all of our brain dumps everything that we've written down all of this is going to come in handy we're going to apply this to Habit laying I don't know if that's a real term
I may have made it up I did read the book Atomic habits which is a great book by the way and if you want a good book to kick off this challenge with or like this 12 months transformation definitely recommend Atomic habits right there Atomic Habits by James clear and he talks about like habit stacking which is different than what I'm going to explain so for me Habit laying was assigning habits and goals to specific months of the year I think this was the biggest thing that helped me completely transform my life in 12 months
because I started with like that lowest intimidation habit or the one that's like the easiest to implement for the first month and I'm pretty sure like there's a thing where it's like oh it's it doesn't become a habit unless you do it for like 21 days in a row you know something like that so I was like okay what if I spent one month just trying to work on this goal or establish a better routine establish one habit or maybe three simple habits and the next month I could build on top of that a little
bit at a time and then the next month I built on that a little bit at a time and this worked so well yes you have to have patience because it's not this overnight transformation success change your life in seven days but this is what worked for me in making complete life Transformations permanent so let's do an example together for the month of January so don't my doodles are really embarrassing don't look at them I'm not going to show you anymore for my month of January for the month of January we're looking at my main
goals it says establishing a morning routine uh that incorporates water sunlight and exercise when we broke that down into action items on the next page we saw that there were lots of things that involved this morning routine spending time in the sun sunscreen large glass of water morning workout or walk no coffee high protein okay there was a lot of things it's going to be really hard for me to go from zero to all of those things overnight so my daily goal for the month of January when breaking that that down was to add water
and vitamins to my everyday routine so my morning routine woke up with a glass of water and sometime during the day have vitamins that was my daily goal for the month of January just do that then my weekly goal one of them was I read 52 books this year my action goal was I need to read basically four to five books a month which is basically one book A Week a weekly goal was to read one book that could be Audi book it could be physical just experiment with like what do I need to do
to try and read one book every week then one of my other main goals were to go to the gym three to four times a week going from zero to three to four times a week felt like a big deal for me I don't know if anybody else Fel feels the same way so instead my goal for January so that I could build up to three to four times a week my monthly goal for January was just to experiment with movement and find what brings me joy so I experimented with going on a run going
to a yoga class going to the gym like weightlifting group classes I just experimented with different movements to see what brought me joy what I found fun and what I could look forward to into incorporating into my day-to-day week- toe life those were my January goals was it immediate life transformation where I have a whole new morning afternoon evening routine I'm this it girl who's working out all the time time drinking green juice in the morning and reading at night instead of scrolling on Tik Tok no it wasn't an immediate transformation but those goals set
me up perfectly for February for February I kept kind of the same thing so February the daily goal of water and vitamins I kept doing that through February and then I added putting sunscreen on in the morning I just added that to my daily routine weekly on top of reading and incorporating that to my routine I added oil pulling and teeth whitening because I wanted to take better care of myself do a little bit more intentional self-care and oil pulling was like huge on Tik Tok so I added that to my weekly routine and then
like the movement goal instead of experimenting with Movement try to stick to a consistent schedule of like try to work out Monday Wednesday Friday see if that works so what you're doing is you're slowly building up to a transformation in a way that doesn't force you to make big scary changes and commit to them or else you've failed you know what I mean something that you may have noticed is January and February I really only focused on two or three of my main goals when there was five or six on that page that's because you
don't have to work on all of your goals right now right away from the beginning go ham and try to spread yourself thin and work on all these new things no I just picked the ones that I felt were most important or the ones I had to work on sooner rather than later started establishing them January February March and then as that became more of a habit I added in the other goals into like more April May June right I added another goal into quarter two and then I added another Big Goal into quarter three
and then by the end of the year I had completed all of the goals on my list because I knew I didn't have to attack them all at once some of them yes they lay together but was I was able to have it lay a little bit with that we're going to talk about some ways to stay motivated throughout the next 12 months because that is a huge thing of like motivation how do you stay consistent we're going to talk about that but first if you've learned something new so far be sure to give this
video a thumbs up because that basically tells YouTube that other people like you will also find this video helpful if you've learned two new things by the end of the video consider subscribing because that's just a free way to support me and my business so that I could continue to make free content for you now let's talk about a few ways to stick to your goals to stick to applying habits the first one is to make your habits or your goals visible there are so many ways to do this you could do one way you
could do all the ways one is you could put the goals in your calendar so if you journaled and you wrote everything down and you kind of broke your goals down or habits into months go to your calendar on your phone and on the first of each month create a little reminder of what those habits are going to be for that month there are even apps that you could use and download to help you stick to those habits this is a free one that I've used and I mean it was great at first but then
once I had the habits actually established I was like you don't have to notify me anymore sheesh I get it I'm already doing it so I didn't need it after a while but this was a good one that you could use if you want the more of an app that notifies you to remind you about daily habits or weekly habits you could create a sticky note with your goals for each month and every month just put that sticky note somewhere visible just add it January when February comes add the February one and so you're seeing
all of them layer up you can make vision boards I like to do vision boards digitally so every year I create a Pinterest mood board of like what I feel like my vibe would be for that year and then I turn my favorite pictures into my computer desktop go watch any of my other videos where I'm sitting in front of my computer you will see my vision board for that year and I also make it a wallpaper on my phone so try to make these aspirations visible in your day-to-day life my second tip is to
consume what you aspire to be I think educational content is a great route for this so if you want to run more marathons more as if I've ran one run a marathon or if you want to eat healthier you want to create content become a content creator whatever that goal is find books relevant to that goal and read about it if books aren't your thing there are podcasts that you could listen to as you get ready in the morning on your drives to work you could watch YouTube videos hi hello of people showing their Day
in the Life as a runner right you're consuming the cont content that you aspire to be like social media is a huge way to consume as well there are some ways that are important to set healthy boundaries so sometimes consuming other people's content might make you feel worse about where you are so set those healthy boundaries unfollow who you need to unfollow unfollow the people that make you feel worse about yourself if a specific video shows up on your for you page whether that's on Instagram or Tik Tok you could literally hold down the video
it might be different feature for each platform but you could literally say not interested on the video so that Tik Tok won't show you future videos like that so just start setting those boundaries on social media if you're somebody who does consume a lot of social media find creators that excite you and inspire you I try to stay as active as possible again even if that's just two or three times a week whatever I could realistically stick to I consume creators like Nick bear here on YouTube just seeing his balance between running a business and
a family is very aspirational for me so I like watching him for Fitness content third tip is to stick to the plan and not your mood this is something I still struggle with but I do remind myself in the back of my head when I'm like it's night and I'm like oh I just want to lay in bed and be cozy I don't want to go to the gym tomorrow cuz I just want to be cozy right now right now I just need to rest so I don't want to do this tomorrow don't make decisions
for future you based off of how you currently feel no no no no no you're going to stick to the plan so at night when I'm like I don't want to out what do I do stick to the plan do I want to work out in the morning no not really but I open up my app go to my group fitness class I book the 7: a.m. class I have my outfit prepared tomorrow me we'll get to it today I'm just going to I'll be cozy I'll relax for now tomorrow me will stick to the
plan my fourth tip is to give yourself Grace this is a huge one and one that I have to remind myself on a daily basis or a weekly basis because so many of us we thought I smelled gas for a second and I was like gas L let's try that again I know for me when I set a goal I feel like I have very much a black and white take on it and if my goal is like well I'm not going to have sugar and then I have sugar I am so hard on myself
I tell myself that I've failed that it's all hope is lost I will binge eat and be like okay well now I'm just going to have a whole jar of cookies you know what I mean but perception's reality just because you had a Cookie doesn't mean everything is a wash down the drain down the toilet give yourself Grace you're human you had a cookie no biggie you didn't work out this week okay that's fine you could work out next week does one week in your life really matter in the grand scheme of things for you
50 years from now no one week you probably needed it you probably needed it let's be real so just get get back on track you want to be a content creator you posted for seven days and then you didn't post for 2 months does that mean it's too late for you no not at all you can just jump right back on and this time you've learned seven days of posting in a real might be too much might burn you out maybe just try posting once a week learn from any mistakes that you make and adjust
it modify it for what you need cuz all of our bodies are different especially for any of you who are watching and have a 28-day menstrual cycle or 30-day menstrual cycle whatever that is for your body our bodies fluctuate so much throughout those 28 days one week you're feeling great you want to socialize you want to talk the next week you don't want to socialize but you're in planner mode you could do things around the house the next week you're feeling angry pissed you want to hate you hate everybody in the world and the week
after that you're lazy you want to lay around so like give yourself Grace understand the changes in your body in your life life and work with the lifestyle that you have work with the body you have you don't have to do what everybody else is doing because they have different lives than you they have different body types than you so find what works that's really what's going to help you establish that ultimate change of life is finding what works for you and I know everybody says that but it's it's very much true making change doesn't
have to be this big grandio scary thing it can be bite-sized and gradual that over time adds up to a really cool big thing I found for me doing big 7-Day challenges aren't what works it doesn't work for me and that's why I have to attack things more bite-sized and that's okay if you're an aspiring content creator and you want to become a content creator in the next 12 months don't forget that I have that 12month guide that I've already created for you broke everything down into month-by-month goals and if you've enjoyed this video be
sure to watch this video next because YouTube thinks you'll like it thank you so much for watching I will see you in the next one follow your joy bye yay
