born again i have do you share your faith with others i do i try to spread it around yes what do you say to them i tell them that the only purpose in life is to believe in jesus christ and get the message around let him be heard and let you know everyone know about him nick if i said to you i believe in jesus but i haven't been born again obviously i'm not a christian i haven't been born again what would you say to convince me that i needed the savior i would say that
you just need to accept him um you know if you're not born again you don't have all hope lost you just need to um you just need to believe in him and and have your life into his hands because if you don't then um you really you really don't really hold a purpose because i really believe that jesus is the purpose so what happens to me if i die in my sins where do i go well what i believe in is down below you mean hell yes sir why would i go there i'm a good
person so what would you say to me if i said that to you well you could be good but as long as you don't believe in the right things then how could i how could i go to hell for not believing something that seems unjust how would you speak to that if i said to you look you said i'm going to hell just because i don't believe in jesus that means a lot of people that have never heard of him in foreign countries are going to hell just because they don't believe in jesus where is
the justice in that we're talking about hell this isn't like a prison for a few years or something so what would you say to answer that um to put me on the spot um i'm gonna give you what i think is the answer okay but i'm going to do it in a a roundabout way okay do you think you're a good person i do okay that's the problem all right i'm going to try and change your mind i can do it in 15 seconds i'm going to do it two ways the 15 second one is
this jesus said in mark 10 verse 17 there's none good but god so who's lying you or jesus i think i'm lying and this is the way to show someone they're not good take him to the ten commandments as jesus did in mark 10 verse 17. he said to the rich young ruler who said good master what shall i do to inherit eternal life he said you know the commandments and he took them through five of them so i'm going to do that with you to show you something real important and then share the biblical
gospel with you and i think it'll be helpful to you how many lies have you told in your life last count ever stolen something uh way back yeah sometime have you ever used god's name in vain in the past yes sir do you think that's a serious thing to do to use god's name in vain i do it's actually punishable by death in the old testament and this is the scripture that is relevant to most young guys jesus said whoever looks at a woman and lusts for her has committed adultery already with her in his
heart ever looked at a woman with lust okay so nick this is to show you you're not a good person according to the commandments you've told me you're a lying thieving blasphemous adulterer at heart and you have to face god on judgment day and that's why you need the savior he blots out sin so it's not to do with me lacking purpose or being unhappy i need to come to christ because god's wrath abides on me justly for my sins and if i die in my sins and he gives me justice i won't go to
hell for not believing in something i'll go to hell for lying and stealing and blasphemy and fornication and adultery the bible says sin is transgression of the law sin is not not believing in jesus and some people say oh yeah there are verses to say you've got to believe in jesus you go to hell but let me put you in a little scenario to show you the importance of what i'm saying here if you go to africa deepest africa primitive tribe bones through the nose they don't speak english they have never heard of jesus okay
so if sin is not believing in jesus these guys are not going to hell because they haven't sinned because they don't not believe in jesus because they've never heard of him got it so if you then preach the gospel to them and they reject it now they're going to hell and you caused it should i keep your mouth shut can you see what i'm saying yeah so sin is transgression of the law lord if you want your friends to come to christ just take them through those commandments show them what sin is and then say
god is rich in mercy and provided a savior we broke god's law jesus paid the fine that's what happened on the cross then he rose from the dead defeated death and once people realize they have sinned and in sin is deadly serious then they can find a place of genuine sorrow for sin repentance and faith in jesus and they have true conversions and no longer will they say i'm a good person i'm a christian i'm a good person i said i'm a wretched sinner i'm a sinner and i need a savior or i end up
in hell justly whenever i meet someone who professes faith in jesus who thinks they're a good person i know that they're more than likely the product of unbiblical methods of modern evangelism and so they've never understood the gravity of their own sin once they see that they'll truly appreciate the gospel and begin to evangelize biblically imitating jesus but i was a little nervous with nick because of his body language until after the interview when he surprised me i really appreciate that really yeah yeah well let's say that again could you say that again yeah i
