and you are taking a live look right now over bayout in Lebanon obviously a lot to discuss here so I do want to head out live over to Israel and bring in Matt Finn with Fox News he's been joining us quite a bit over the past several days and Matt again a lot of different topics to discuss so overall what is the latest out there well the latest right now is Israel says it intercepted uh missile within the past couple of minutes uh fired by Hezbollah here into Israel and this morning there was a series
of rockets that hasb fired from Lebanon here into Israel the IDF also says that it lost 10 soldiers killed in battle in the past 24 hours or so uh we do want to highlight in Gaza in the city of con Yunis there's graphic video out there that shows the aftermath of an Israeli strike 38 people reported dead since yesterday including women and children in Gaza refugees say food is very scarce and they're pleading to democracies around the world for help and turning towards peace talks the US Secretary of State is continuing his 5day trip here
overseas with a meeting today in London with the Lebanese prime minister it's part of a larger global scale uh an attempt to prevent war between uh Iran Israel and even Lebanon and the New York Times this morning is reporting that if Israel does retaliate as you guys were just talking about against Iran for its missile strike here earlier this month then Iran says it's ready to respond uh the scale apparently will depend on the Israeli strike and you you know also want to highlight here on the ground The Perils uh for journalists an Israeli air
strike killed three journalists as they reportedly slept at a guest house in Southeastern Lebanon early this morning uh apparently they did have press Vehicles outside of uh the facility the residents uh and it is being reported that Israel did not give those journalists a heads up Josh and Matt do we know much else about the situation there with the retaliatory attack uh by Israel on Iran because we heard that New York Times report that says Iran is is ready for war they don't want it to happen but they are ready for it well you know
it's been speculated for months and months now that there may be this larger scale war that um you know our US Secretary of State and many other diplomats are trying uh intensely to avoid as evidenced by blink's trip here overseas he has met with uh representatives from multiple countries and multiple organizations over the past couple of days so it really is pure speculation that something larger may happen you know um last week Israeli media was reporting that it's only a matter of time and then we had that leak which apparently revealed some of the elements
of Israel's preparation uh but did not reveal any type of a plan or location and so it largely is speculation that there is this imminent uh you know Israeli strike against Iran but the New York Times is reporting that it spoke to multiple sources within Iran uh who say that Iran is allegedly prepared to strike back uh that Iran would uh base its retaliation off of how intensely U Israel May strike um I think it was about a week or two ago that Israel said it was only going to Target military s that it would
not uh attack nuclear sites um and you know Iran is threatening that if that were to happen there could be a larger scale War here all right Matt Finn there reporting live from Israel as always thank you so much for taking the time to be here with us thanks Josh
